Let's start off by wishing a Happy Birthday to Tim Daly, a.k.a. Superman. We can also wish a Happy Birthday to Ron Howard, a.k.a. Fonz & the Happy Days Gang's Richie Cunningham. Superman fans know that Tim Daly was the voice of the Man of Steel between 1996-2000, before his prior commitments to the short-lived CBS-TV remake of The Fugitive resulted in George Newbern taking over for him when Cartoon Newtork's Justice League premiered in the fall of 2001. Ironically, many of Tim's co-stars on Wings, have also done cartoon voice-over work, and the year after Wings concluded, he also appeared in the HBO mini-series From the Earth to the Moon, which was directed by Ron Howard, whom by the way left Happy Days in 1980 to begin full-time directing, but still found enough time to reprise is role of Richie Cunningham in animation form. So, on that note, may we wish both Tim Daly and Ron Howard, respectively, a very Happy Birthday, this weekend. BTW, anyone remember The Dukes, the animated spin-off from The Dukes of Hazzard? Catherine Bach, a.k.a. Daisy Duke in both shows, is also celebrating a birthday, this weekend, so let's wish her a Happy Birthday.
