I'm trying to upload my first own video clip for YouTube. It relates to the Pink Panther, and lasts about 2 minutes. Really it's kind of a slideshow. Anyway, I'm trying to get the file saved on my computer, and from the looks of things it'll take forever.

The "time remaing" bar keeps increasing past 500 minutes, and raises higher. Eventually, I closed the program down (but not without saving). Exactly how long is your own video clip supposed to download? It can't possibly take more than 500 minutes!

Wait, are you using Windows Movie Maker? That might be the problem, because its Windows Movie Maker.

I would suggest restarting your comp, get rid of any extra programs that are running that is using up your Ram. Idk, im always having trouble with that program when i use it to make videos. Its really all i have...

8 hrs and change huh? well, depends on your internet speed. Cuz that sounds like a 56k connection.

Oh wait your trying to save a file? What program are you using?

i suggest buying Flash and/or After Effects because its much easier to work with a program heavily associated with video and .flv format if you havent already.

I'm using Windows movie Maker.

I left the download running as I went to work. I just came back and the thing was still running. It said it had over 22,000 minutes remaining!

Maybe if I cleared some space off my computer, and delted some worthless files that might help.

Also you keep changing between wanting to upload and download. Which are you trying to do?

It's all about your connection speed and size of the program. For me, at home, on dialup, an mp3 music file takes about 30 minutes. Even though I have a 56k modem, the down load is only 3kps. so song files at around 2mb take that long. You tube vids take about an hour to load and have horrible quality. And I've never been able to save them, most likely because I don't know how to do it right. My laptop has wifi and I can go to the library for their connection. I can download a song in seven minutes, a torrent video of between 170 - 200 mb in under and hour. (I'm not certian because the run at different speeds. I'm getting IGPX anime faster than WITCH season 2) Basically file size and connection speed of both you and the origin site matter.

I did manage to capture a "Molly Star Racer" 90mb file letting the system run about 14 hours. Usually I wake up and find there was an error and the down load was interrupted.
