Flirty Birdy:Every animator here (Ken Muse,Ray Patterson,Irv Spence) is at their zenith here, with Ken Muse doing some wonderfully subtle animation, and the other two doing hilarious stuff with the hawk. The storytelling is strong, also.
Mouse Cleaning:I think this may be a rare cartoon where the sympathy for Tom really helps, instead of the sympathy ruining the short. The score by Scott Bradley is one of my favorites, too.
Heavenly Puss: As Leonard Maltin perfectly stated, a cartoon that would've only worked with characters as wonderful as Tom & Jerry.
Kitty Foiled:Now this is what everyone always stereotypes of a Tom & Jerry cartoon! It has no plot, and it just does'nt need one.
Mouse in Manhattan:Proof that, while I prefer Tom, Jerry can be a great character as well. Wonderful personality animation here.
Saturday Evening Puss: The musical timing here makes this short alot of fun,and the ending with Jerry not going to get any sleep after all is hysterical.

Well, I have two top-faves:
That's My Mommy - simply because of that one scene at the end. Tom hugging and crying on that duck like crazy, and afterwards they're in the water like a family. It was funny...and kinda weird...
Solid Serenade - because Tom sang (this is coming from someone who didn't even know the voice was actually Fred Quimby; he's a great singer!). The part where Jerry was sent bumping up and down by the noise was also hysterical!

I don't really think that's Fred Quimby.

Well, I could've sworn I heard somewhere that was Fred Quimby, but I don't know for sure, either...

Another favorite is Little School Mouse. Jerry receives more abuse than in any other Tom & Jerry cartoon in history in that one...

The Invisible Mouse is really funny to me particularly at the end where Spike whips Tom repeatedly with the golf club .

Yes, what a difficult decision. Hmm...I'd have to say "Yankee Doodle Mouse", "Cruise Cat", "Puss Gets the Boot", and "Cat Concerto". Not to mention the new Tom and Jerry cartoon (that felt just like the originals) "The KarateGuard". There are some others, but I can't think of some of them right now...

I don't remember a lot of them, but I love this episode where Tom was teaching this kitten how to catch mice, but it started to play with Jerry instead, soon they were both going after Tom.

I liked the Tom and Jerry cartoon where there's a maid and she told Tom not to make a mess.
So Jerry decides to torture Tom by getting him to make a mess and he's busy cleaning up. Well the final straw for the maid was when Jerry directs a coal delivery into the living room and the coal fills the house up to the point where the it falls apart and Tom ends up with a face full of soot and the maid shouts out "TOMAS! IS THAT YOU?"? and Tom starts to deny that it's him until he comes out of the coal pile. Then maid shouts "TOMAS!!" The for a more comedic affect Tom runs away and the maid throws a piece of coal at him so hard that it knocks him out cold.

"Mouse Cleaning"
That's it DG! Thanks. That was the funniest cartoon I ever saw in my life.
There was also one where Spike was trying to get Tyke to nap and Tom was chasing Jerry. Then they both woke up Tyke and the poor puppy got the hiccups because of it.

Ah yes, that would be "Hiccup Pup", one of my personal faves too, with a brill ending.
But of course, my all-time fave T&J cartoon has to be "Pecos Pest". I deny Tom and Jerry fan to not love Uncle Pecos and his rendition of "Froggy went a-courtin'!" :D

I think Bill Hanna did sang the song, because originally he voiced Tom's screams and Ow's. As for a fave cartoon, i would pick Blue Cat Blues and The Yankee Doodle Mouse, because... I like 'em! lol

1970's (ABC)
The Super Cyclists
Bowling
Tennis
Lost Duckling (somewhat return of Quacker)
The ones with bowling and tennis would have to be "The Super Bowler" and "The Tennis Menace".
Anyway, here's my personal pick of the 1975 made-for-TV T&J shorts...
"Cosmic Cat And Meteor Mouse"
"Castle Wiz"
"The Wacky World Of Sports"
"Gopher Broke"
"The Super Bowler"
"The Tennis Menace"
"The Super Cyclists"
"Planet Pest"
"The Supercape Caper"
"Planet Of The Dogs"
As for the other eras:
1940-58 MGM Era: any one where Tom doesn't have that stripe between his eyes.
1961-62 Gene Deitch Era: undecided.
1963-67 Chuck Jones/Sib Tower-12 Era: The Mouse From H.U.N.G.E.R., and a handful of others where Thomas has those excellently heavy eyebrows.

My favorite was the one that ended with Tom saying something like, "I may be poor but I'M HAPPY!!!". lol. It was funny when they had him talk.

That was The Million Dollar Cat. The short in which Tom inherits a million dollars, with the added clause the he'd lose his fortune if he ever brought harm to another living creature-even a mouse. So naturally Jerry acts like a total jerk to Tom, all the while reminding him that if he tries to fight back, he'll lose the dough. When Tom finally loses it and goes into attack mode, his "Gee, I'm throwing away a million dollars--but I'm HAPPY!" was the perfect capper to that short.

Who did the voice?
Who did the voice? That would be Harry E. Lang.
For a character that rarely speaks, it's interesting how many people actually voiced Tom. In the classic shorts, Harry E. Lang is the most commonly heard, as he voiced Tom in "Million Dollar Cat", "Mouse Trouble" (Don't You Believe It!), "Quiet Please", "Mouse Comes to Dinner" and "Part Time Pal" (in which the dialogue is muted out in current Turner print). He was also the Devil Cat in "Sufferin' Cats" and several voices in "Baby Puss".
Frank Graham provides both Tom and Jerry's extensive dialogue in "Lonesome Mouse", as well as narrating the cartoon. He's also Butch in "Springtime for Thomas" and the Lion in "Jerry and the Lion".
William Hanna provided Tom's trademark screams in nearly every cartoon, or at least, that's what the urban legend says. There's no solid evidence to back it up, but I doubt it can be disproven at this point.
Tom's singing voice in "Solid Serenade" is Ira Woods, while in "Texas Tom", it's Ken Darby.
Finally Tom's voice in "Mucho Mouse" is none other than Daws Butler.
There are more, of course, like the various vocal effects he had in the Deitch and Jones cartoons (the latter being by Mel Blanc) and the later TV series, as well as his extensive dialogue in "Tom & Jerry: The Movie" (Richard Kind)

^Lots of people remember it, though perhaps not necessarily fondly.
Say what you will about the movie itself, but I at least thought Richard Kind did a credible Tom. That's pretty much what I imagined Tom sounding like if he spoke on a regular basis.

There's another one where Tom ends up in a pile of rubble and he says his famous last words "DON'T YOU BELIEVE IT!!"
There's another one where Tom ends up in a pile of rubble and he says his famous last words "DON'T YOU BELIEVE IT!!"That's "The Missing Mouse" and it's Harry E. Lang doing the voice, but he didn't return to do so, they just reused it from "Mouse Trouble".

^And FTR, the "Don't you believe it" was not invented for Tom; it was a play on the famous tag line from Ripley's Believe It or Not radio program.
