For me, I say it's gotta be Fool Coverage starring Daffy & Porky. How this hasn't made it to one yet, I don't know. Maybe V. 6 :)

I have one that's on the tip of my tongue, but it's name escapes me. I believe it's a Clampett short, though, and I think it rhyme with "Mole Mac and Be Heban Shorts"?;)

Unlike some, I'm not terribly worried about WB "running out" of quality shorts, at least not any time soon. IMO there's still a LOT of quality left.

And I know I'm giving my hopes up for nothing, but I too would love to see Coal Black on a future set, even if only as an extra. Racist or not, it's still a fantastic short with some great Clampett animation.

Obligatory "Coal Black" response.

-Swing Ding Amigo (McKimson, '66)
-Zoom and Bored (Jones, '57)

"Zoom and Bored" is already on Volume 2.

Those three D/F cartoons I don't think we'll be seeing, as they are not the best, but certainly the best Daffy/Speedy cartoons, and the best D/F Road Runner cartoons.

We're still missing:
Backwoods Bunny
Fractured Leghorn
Wide and Wooly Hare
Russian Rhapsody
Bear Feat
Bee-Deviled Bruin
Bedeviled Rabbit
Hoppy Go Lucky
Nasty Quacks
Quack Shot
Daffy Dilly
Herr Meets Hare
High Note
Now Hear This
Nelly's Folly
Hiawatha's Rabbit Hunt
A Wild Hare
A Mouse Divided
Mouse Mazurka
Life With Feathers
Hameteur Night
The Cat's Bah
Louvre Come Back to Me
Mexican Cat Dance
Chow Hound

I also think Coal Black and de Sebben Dwarves still needs a chance.
I don't think WB will run out of quality shorts, because they mix the great shorts with not-so-great shorts (i.e. "The Wild Chase" -a not-so-good cheater cartoon from D/F- and "Operation: Rabbit" -a great short- on Volume 4)

"Hare-um Scare-um". I want to know how this cartoon is SUPPOSED to end!

Oops, I meant "Zoom at the Top". Didn't double check my typing.

Several of the shorts mentioned in this thread:

Hiawatha's Rabbit Hunt
High Note
Nelly's Folly
Now Hear This
Rhapsody in Rivets
A Wild Hare

are on the just-released Academy Awards Animation Collection. "From A to Z-Z-Z-Z," which I believe has also not been released on a Golden Collection, is also there.

I want all the Claude Cat cartoons, but particularly "Two's a Crowd."

man, so many. How many volumes would it take to release all the Looney Tunes/Merry Melodies?

Well, if you exclude the post-1969 shorts, there are about 965 LT/MM shorts. At 15 shorts per disc, it would take just a little over 64 discs to hold them. At 4 discs in a Golden Collection, that would require 16 volumes.

Dog Gone South ("Oh Belvedere...come heah boy!!!") starring Charlie Dog and the Colonel. Have sat through that one many times and could sit through many more showings of it! :)
