According to Jay Stephen's official blog "Monsterama", Cartoon Network decided to NOT rename it "The Secret Adventures Of Zak Saturday" after all.

That's good to hear. The Secret Saturdays was the better name compared to the other one.

I still think Secret Saturdays is a lame name. I picture some dude dressing in women's clothing on a Saturday. Why not just call it Saturday?

What's Secret Saturdays?

It's about this family that saves the world on a regular basis. It's suppose to be similar to Scooby Doo and Jonny Quest. Among enemies are an group called the Mondays.

That's it? I was hoping it'd be more than that, I'll watch it anyway.

Most of the enemies are cryptids, creatures that are mostly hypothetical, like Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster. The creator has a huge interest in cryptozoology, the study of cryptids, which helped with the creation and development of the show.

And he also created Tutenstein.

While I get the joke, it's kind of specific, is there a secret you want to share with us? :D

Well what did you have in mind?

Really? Well that does get my interest, I'll still watch it anyway.

I wasn't sure what but from what I read in the blog, I was hoping it'd be kind of be a homage to Horror-Comedies.

I hear this show could really turn out to be pretty good. I do wish the crew at Toonami could get primeres for the show. It gives off a Jonny Quest feel, which is a old Toonami favorite for some of us.

There's already one Jonny Quest spoof on CN: [adult swim]'s The Venture Brothers. Obviously, Secret Saturdays will be the 'kid-friendly' JQ takeoff.

This looks like the best CN original in ages, though the "evil organization named the mondays" sounds kind of stupid.

I'll try to catch Secret Saturday when it premieres. I was never a huge Johnny Quest fan, but at least this isn't another frelling live action show.

I'm interested in this one. Has a real retro vibe to it like, as people said, Scooby-Doo and Jonny Quest and that type of thing. Also like that an enemy family is called "The Mondays". :D

Wow, are those pictures artwork from the show? Looks pretty nice. I'm glad they're not going with that awful Genndy Tartakofsky look that it seems like every other cartoon tries to copy.

Why do people still associate CN with AS? When people address AS live action they always say how AS isn't a part of CN. So no, CN does not have a spoof of Jonny Quest.

Not really. If the main characters' name is Saturday and people hate Mondays, it's a clever name for their enemies when you think about it.
