Jamie Kellner is the reason that Cartoon Network is what it is right now. He ruined Kids WB with his idiotic idea that something can't appeal to a broad audience and be successful. He hates DVRs because the supposedly "steal" programs by letting people skip commercials. He is by far the prime example of a cynical and jaded network executive who only cares about the bottom line and not about establishing a long-lasting and recognizable brand-name. He started the notion that only kids watch cartoons and that kids love live-action.

Nonsense! Everybody loves Jamie Kellner! They even sell plushies of him! When you squeeze 'em they say "Anything can be improved by adding Elmyra!"

Jamie Kellner eh? I'll have to run a search on him. Not that I'm not taking your post seriously but what does "jaded" mean? I always wondered.

What is that reference towards? Tiny Toons?

According to the American Heritage dictionary: jaded means "wearied; spiritless with fatigue; dulled, tired."

Jamie Kellner was the main person responsible for adding the character of Elmyra to the Pinky & the Brain franchise, thus leading to Pinky, Elmyra & the Brain, a much reviled series that many regard as the kiss of death for the P&tB franchise.

Also, if it weren't for Jamie Kellner, WCW wrestling would probably still be around (instead of having Vince McMahon buy the company, thus monopolizing the wrestling industry).

There's also the mess of taking the WB's most popular TV show at the time, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, off the channel's lineup, with it moving to UPN.

Didn't we stop demonizing him years ago? Granted, a LOT of his managerial practices did wreck havoc on Turner Broadcasting and he did bring in a lot of the people who engineered the current direction of Cartoon Network, but he's powerless now. He no longer has an ownership stake of The WB (this was even before The WB was gone). He's not in any high position at Time Warner, and to be honest, the incoming CEO of Time Warner, Jeff Bewkes, is a far worse individual than Kellner could ever become. Why?

He's the guy who PUT Kellner in the Turner position and shares many of his beliefs. Bewkes is the guy who is pretty much turning Warner Bros. Animation into a direct-to-video and internet production company (there aren't any broadcast or cable premieres coming from the studio in the forseeable future) and believes that synergy (cooperation between the units) is pointless and crap.

Kellner was bad. Bewkes is worse.
