Hilarious simply Hilarious. First you have all these women showing up who don't match their pictures and grandad's reactions to that. All of which was LOL funny then you got Luna the sultry, crazy, and naive black Azula, then you have the allusion to "Enter The Dragon" complete with a cameo appearance by Bushido Brown(Jim Kelly parody/knockoff) then you have an allusion to Mortal Kombat which itself was highly inspired by "Enter The Dragon"

Quotes:
"Are you crazy? She'll probably hit me with an exploding nut sack technique"
"You need to kidnap and torture his ass"
"I googled fidel castro's birthday it ain't even until august 31"
"That's whay I don't have a man now, all these niggas is gay"

Final Thoughts:
-Crazy Kung-Fu ***** out for revenge
-Anal rape with a broom(on a cartoon network show?)
-Tisha Arnold providing the voice for the friend who was over the phone
-Huey thinks of everything
Conclusion: Hilarity ensued

My review: 10/10 my only complaint is too big of a spoiler for me to say right now but once a few people have said their piece, i'll say mine.

If I remember correctly every episode that's covered in the promo has been aired so far except for the basketball one and the one with the mysterious business suit chick. After those two air we may not have any episodes for awhile.

Huey gets his ass kicked in every fight he's in, except against Riley

Bushido beat him
Ruckus beat him
Stinkmeaner beat him
Luna beat him

i'm starting to doubt his abilities LOL

great ep btw, 5/5, partly because it reminded me ALOT of a season 1 episode, more grounded

Luna and her phone friend were too over the top and the ending was niether funny nor dramatic to me... Plus, the myspace plot had already been done just a few weeks ago. Some of it, like granddad's excuse, was funny, but the crazy woman just wasn't funny. And there's not enough Riley in this show lately.

3.5/5

This show is getting more hit or miss with me lately. I liked all of the first season, it had hilarious comedy and I thought the guest appearances actually worked really well, like the one with MLK. The second season isn't as good, IMO. I didn't like this one, the snitching one, and while I liked the Tom vs Usher one, a lot of people didn't. Yeah, "Or Die Trying" and "The Story of Thugnificent" were great, and the Stinkmeaner one was pretty good, but it just doesn't seem as good to me lately overall.

Well we do know there's also an episode about Ruckus getting his own reality show and a white teacher calling Riley the N word (which may or may not be the buisness suit chick one. Also of note the basketball one should be the ep that introduces Cindy from the comics to the show). As for those two episodes being the last for awhile, that's not the case. According to the offical AS.com schedule, besides the holiday break they're showing a new Boondocks premiere every week until Febuary (which is as far as the schedule's even been made anyway) so I don't think they're taking a break after the next two. Like at all.

He did take out those two random movie theathre workers in "Or Die Trying" as well. And to be fair, most of huey's opponents are against really adult expert master fighters. Bushido was a renowed body guard who could take out three guys with guns without getting hit, Stinkmeaner trained in hell and defeated a huge load of demons before fighting Huey, and Luna achieved the highest martial arts status in the Boondocks world. (and may be the only one alive whose reach "White Lotus" level). And I guess Ruckus is pretty tough with Nunchucks so uh... there you go.

Essitnaly a variation of "Guess Hoe's Coming To Dinner", this time with a... well the title says it pretty well. I guess it's cool they continued the whole Grandad subplot of him wanting dates with Myspace women from "Return Of Stinkmeaner" but that episode handled it a lot better then this one. As in just keeping it as a side note to the actual plot. I mean this did feel like a complete plot with a somewhat character arc for Luna (and for Grandad if he actually learns his lesson this time about dating women on the internet) but there really wasn't many jokes in this one. I did like the idea of the Kumite and showing how Luna had dealt with abusive relationships before to make her so crazy (as well as her owning Huey in they're little "spar") but it felt a lot of more then needed exposition then actual humor sometimes. Not that there weren't funny moments: Grandad comparing the myspace photos to the actual women (and Luna noticing her own when she appeared), the Mortal Kombat esque "finish him" during the fights, Riley saying they should shoot her, Grandad's lie about Fidel Catarsro's birthday and Luna believing him, Tom appearing and reading the directions in what he should do for saving the Freemans, and Huey narrating Luna blowing herself up. There are usually more funny moments in Boodnocks eps though so this felt like a weaker one. Well not "Thank You For Not Snitching" weak but not as good as the last couple of eps have been.

I actually enjoyed this episode and i have to disagree strongly on the guess hoe's coming to dinner reference slightly because guess hoe's coming to dinner wasn't necessarily rife with social satire and commentary.
For one thing, it was a true point-online mingling and dating scenes are getting big and often it is found that people do lie on their profile to find a match (or eat the person's dinner for free just as the case was with the beginning). And then came the psycho-the psycho that is super depressed and trying to find someone. But has a girlfriend that trounces on the guy. Its prevalent in the African community, but it is also prevalent in ANY community. That there is one friend that will lead you into bad choices and incite anger from the past because that friend knows you most. Moreover, that friend isn't conducive at all. In this case, it was overly satirical, but a very well put together episode and extremely over the top which made for probably one of the funniest commentaries centered around the online dating craze in a long time.
And then there is grandpa freeman, who plays the normal guy (with clothes on for once). I don't know about you, but I felt for his character almost being in a relatively close situation like that. The psycho stalker, the chum buddy feeding the psycho stalker bs. Thank god I knew a thing or two and a few friends there...or it would've been messy. I think many that have gone through what grand dad went through would've been scarred for life. But then again...The man in me says whoa she is a catch if she knows that much I wouldn't mind learning from her-and then some :p
overall this episode gets a 4.5/5 because I could really relate to it extremely well and the social commentary is pretty darn clear as far as what McGruder was trying to do. Be careful of them online profiles people!

This episode started off pretty slow and didn't pick up until the "Kumite....weeehaww" gag. It then went to explore something I honestly didn't think the show would get into. This was a pretty funny episode...4/5

Oh, MAN, that was Boondock's forced situational comedy at its WORST. And of course, the fighting consists of 'still shots'. Bless Dong Woo animation, they tried, but sometimes, there's just too little to work with to make something look good.

Worst episode this season.

Well, I loved the "Kumite (wahtaaaah!)" moments, and in general, Luna was amusing.

I think Granddad's myspace troubles can be a great fallback subplot for the show, but not a main plot. For me, there were a lot of "LOL!" moments, including the Mortal Kombat references, Huey's letter to Tom, and Luna's all-around batshtick craziness, but without a message, the Boondocks doesn't quite hit as hard.

Not bad, but not the best.

Well, that was the funniest episode of this series I've seen within the brief period that I discovered Adult Swim put these things online. The best part? IT WASN'T CONFUSING.

I think the main reason this show isn't so popular is because it caters to a minority so bluntly. With every other episode, I felt like I was missing half the jokes because I was born Caucasian. You don't need to be part of the African-American culture to enjoy this one--it was well-timed slapstick all the way.

I think it kinda did. We women sometimes tend to play the victim in abuse cases. However instead of learning from that experience and moving on, we bring the garbage from that relationship into new relationships or by seeking out another who was like the previous person and get abused even more.

The crazy woman went from relationship to relationship without looking deeply into why she chose those relationships in the first place. We do need to take responsibility for our actions. And also, not tell your friends every little thing in your life. Sometimes they hurt you more with their negativity instead of helping you be more positive. Wonder why her friend is not in a relationship?....

I mean you saw how she became a success in life..mastering the deadliest martial arts there is, and yet couldnt translate that success in relationships. She thought that being happy with a man would solve all her problems. That's not the case if you don't love yourself enough to get out of the abusive relationships she got herself in.

The episode was funny but a bit sad.....good one

>_<; Ah, Geez...I think Huey could use some wins under his belt. I know most of his opponents are older, and have better hand-to-hand combat skills, (Bushido Brown, Stinkmeaner, and Rukus...aparently) but that was just brutal.

Anyway, I thought the episode was great. I was surprised with the Mortal Kombat references, but it wasn't unwelcomed. The Myspace sub-plot is finally brought into a full plot and it isnt that bad. Luna had a nice explanation for what she was doing and a nice voice actor. Strangely I enjoyed the facial expressions the characters have been using this season. The new animation seems to give everyone broder facial designs and I think they were used quite well here. Personaly, my favorite gag was the "Flawless Victory" with Tom. XD There just aren't enough words to express how good this ep is...you just have to see for yourself.

Looking back at this season thus far, I believe the show works better if it focuses on the Freeman family...the Dubios family simply dosen't seem as fleshed out but since the Freeman's are the main characters it's understandable. Also, this season hasn't dropped in quality at all, its just taking a slightly different direction than the first season and I like where it is going. Not every single Boondocks episode has to have a moral afterall (although bigdeath's fits pretty well.) My only problem is how Luna is ultimately dealt with. It was harsh, but I didn't think Luna could make a return after what she's done.

It may not be the best episode of the series, but it has its moments for sure.

I give it a 4 and a half out of 5

The Freemans are the main characters, but I also like the Dubois characters myself. To me, they're like Felix Unger to the Freemans' Oscar Madison. IMO, they could be just as interesting as the Freemans, Uncle Ruckus, Ed & Rummy or anyone else on the show...if the shows' writers chose to flesh them out and give them some better, juicier parts. If characters aren't very interesting, it's because their creators and writing staff don't make them very interesting; you can hardly blame it on someone else.

I'm personally hoping that somewhere down the line the Dubois family gets another spotlight episode with a better plot than "Tom, Sarah and Usher". That one didn't work for me because there was no real story resolution, Tom was just dumped on too mercilessly (I can't stand stories in which an innocent character just get crapped on throughout the whole thing, especially when they've done nothing to deserve such abuse), and Sarah and Jazmine were simply out of character in it.

Sorry to go slightly off-topic just there, but I haven't seen "Attack of..." yet. I'll refrain from commenting on this week's episode until I've actually seen it.

I really can't get over how hilarious this episode was, but like a lot of people, watching Huey in these episodes makes me CRAAAAAVE a Huey-centric episode. Just one or two a season is all I'm really asking for from the main character of the strip that started it all.

It'd be like a Penny Arcade comic starring Charles, Divx and Fruit ******.

I love Granddad, but it really feels like they're overusing John Witherspoon simply because every single thing he says has me in stitches. There's nothing wrong with that as long as you don't abuse it. Witherspoon was one of the funniest comedians I saw while working at the Improv, and Granddad is a great character. But I'd like just one episode where he didn't show up.

South Park did a throwback to it's roots for it's finale that was just about the kids and it did friggin' great.

On a completely unrelated side note, I'm getting tired of that Gamestop commercial with the alien looking for his kitty.

wow. ep had points to it.

-Dont let another womens past influence your own.
and there are indeed women who do that!! basically like ghost dating the man of their best friend. if the friend doesnt like him, she feels her girl friend should not either.

-they put the girl down in a way that is very underhanded. "build up my ego while sort of messing with yours"

-Luna was a nice person, but she cant let things go...and she had a lousy choice in friends. she was nice...just...unstable

okay. getting slapped over cold chicken isnt funny, but cartoon wise, i had to admit, i burst.

it maybe just me. but i am happy Grand Dad has such confidence in his nakedness. he deserves someone good, but he really needs to stop using the internet to find love.
hmm, i guess i shouldnt be surprised that he lets Hu and Ri look at such...provocative pictures, but i am.

AH
anytime Tom gets hurt i feel so bad for him!! he's so sweet, and innocent.
i thought she was gonna slam him on his head...so i gasped :anime: and it turns out he landed on his back.

i would assume Huey would inform Grand Dad that he cant find love at the rate he is going, but i doubt Grand Dad will listen. plus Hu is a kid.

I don't know, but she did her part well. I do know that Tischina Arnold was the voice of her friend Nicole. I kept thinking throughout the episode, "that phone voice sounds so familiar".

Anyways, good episode. The random Mortal Kombat moments had me rolling. I also enjoyed the kung-fu references and the random cameo by Bushido Brown. Speaking of martial arts, it would be nice to see Huey do his karate thing and actually come out on top for once. I know he's only 10 and those kinds of skills take years to perfect, but it seems odd that a smart kid like Huey would keep busting out with that only to continually get pwned. (Although in this case, Huey couldn't best Luna, because then the story would've much shorter.)

-One minor complaint that you all knew I was going to say: since they managed to find a small part for Tom in this episode, I would have liked if they could have squeezed Sarah in there somewhere. I thought Luna was going to freak out upon finding out Tom was married to a white woman. Thankfully, he didn't mention it. (You may now pelt me with rotten fruit for mentioning Sarah for the umptee-seventh time.)

Good episode overall.

That's pretty much what I was going, but probably less eloquently...:ack:

I'd also like to add that the montage of people and their myspace photos was DAMN funny. Esp. as I know of members of both sex who really really DON'T look ANYTHING like their pictures...

I also agree that when animating martial arts has been around for so long and SOOOOOOO well, it can be a little disappointing, but I guess when you read a comic the action is still there without the, well, movement!

I also do think it was social commentary, just a more universal and less specific to one social/race group type of commentary, I'm female, white, British...but it resonated with me on many levels.

Esp. the stupid girl friend on the phone, who not only expects you to bring all your baggage, but all of theirs' as well....(This is why I only ever discuss these things with male friends....)

Glad you liked the ep! But seriously, the only win thus far for Huey would be against Riley last season...and although the fight was interrupted I'm pretty sure Huey would've beat Chiro....otherwise he looses....he even lost to the Blind Nigga Samurai in his dreams....

Don't get me wrong, I thought this episode was hilarious, especially the animated facial reactions and how the characters moved the story, not the situation itself, and the backstory to this woman was great, as was her motivation, but the entire time something was in the back of my mind saying 'Tom Goes To The Mayor did this much better'.

A for the episode but compared to Tom's faring, B

Either grade could really stand.

Actually we had one of those episodes last season. "A Date With The Health Inspector" didn't have any Grandad in it besides Huey mentioning his name (but no even visual appearence of him). I do agree we need to see a more Huey centeric plot. Though they're probably harder to do for the writers since Huey is the more straight man character and need to find the right issue to bring up to allow Huey to carry full weight on it.

He usually dosen't (see him stopping RIley from looking at the R. Kelly photos from "Trial Of R. Kelly") But I guess if it's to help him out he dosen't care that much. Which is actually one of Grandad's personality trait from the original comic as well: Will tend to get more forceful of the situation if it revolves around getting something he wants.

As mentioned before Huey always loses since he's usually put up against very highly skilled opponents (and yeah he would of beatend Chiro in "Wingman" if he wanted to. He did kind of get really cheapshoted by that headbutt in the end of the ep actually). As for "Blind Nigga Samurai" isn't that also because Huey thought Stinkmeaner was actually a strong opponent instead of a crazy old blind man? And to be fair, Stinkmeaner did train in hell to become ridicously strong so Stinkmeaner could of been that tough... if he focused his life on increasing his strength with his hatred instead of just doing that after death.

This so far is my second favorite episode of the season, right after Stinkmeaner Strikes Back.
What help make this even funnier was the character's expressions, and how Luna's eyes goes from normal to menacing.

Sucks that she died, though.

Although all this is true, until Huey actually defeats someone, I'm going to consider him getting his ass kicked each time a running gag

Well, you have to have the straight man be flawed in some way. He can't always win.

"Hey, everybody has to die sometime." - Luna

"Thanks for invitin' a Killer Kung Fu Wolf ***** to the Crib, Granddad!" - Riley

Oh my God, this had me in stitches! Best episode of the season, plus a candidate for best episode for any show this year! Personally, I've always been wary of Internet dating, but many, this is one hilariously funny extreme of it gone wrong! I love how it didn't take long to move past Luna's banging looks and get to the fact that 'she has 15 wolves and grew up around them,' that she's a 'White Lotus Kung Fu Master,' and knows the 'kumata.'

But Luna herself was only half of the fun... Luna wouldn't be that crazy without her phone friend Nicole, who in actuality is the crazy one and Luna just easily susceptible to suggestion. That was just wild.

Even the ending... man! I didn't think the writers would even go that far, but... wow. Just... wow!

"Attack of the Killer Kung Fu Wolf *****": 4.5/5.

"I'm .. tapping ... out"

Fun episode, from Granddad's unattractive dates to Riley telling Luna there was no cash in the house to Tom getting trashed - AGAIN. (Mr. DuBois needed to channel the ghost of Stinkmeaner and his martial arts prowess there).

Poor Luna - we never did actually see the body, though ... Great-looking gal, but her last name DEFINITELY should have been "tic".
