I guess I was wrong about Rikku not being able to get any ass in that 12 year old body. Too bad he's dead now. You know, I have to say, I was genuinely surprised that they killed Rikku. I knew some characters would die on this show, but Rikku already died once a few episodes ago, and we kept on hearing Haji talk about how Rikku is destined to stay by Saya's side forever. This really came out of nowhere. I mean, I figured Diva was going to lock Rikku up in her room and keep him as her plaything or something. I certainly didn't think she'd go through all this trouble to find him and then just kill him.

So, why was she rubbing her stomach after she killed Rikku? Is she pregnant with Rikku's child? Obviously, it would be impossible for a human to tell that they're pregnant mere minutes after conception, but maybe chiropterans are different. The only other reason that she could possibly be rubbing her stomach is if she gave him oral sex or something. But, I don't think rapists are usually too big on performing oral sex on their victims.

Either way, I missed the first showing due to me falling asleep, but saw the second and I must say.. this was a crazy episode. The action between Carl/Saya/Haji was pretty cool and the Diva parts were just intense. When she derobed, I was like.. "Osnapz Riku gonna get raeped" and wouldn't you know it.. later you see him naked on the floor. I too wonder if rubbing her stomach means she knows she's impregnated or she's trying to psyche Saya out maybe. Either way, it could also mean she just thought he was a delicious toy. I guess she couldn't sex him up then leave in the morning.. when all else fails, just feed your sex partners blood and kill em!

Riku will be missed. It was sort of a surprise to see him go like that D: I wonder how many more will have to die. The part at the end with Saya saying she's going to kill Diva was badass though. Awesome cliffhanger.

Blood+ is a series that took me a while to really warm up to, but holy crap if it doesn't have my full attention now! Really wasn't expecting Rikku to die, I really thought Diva was simply going to capture him and turn him against Saya--oh, man. That was just tragic and a terrible way to go for such a gentle soul.

Like I said last time, with the big emphasis of episode 31 being Saya, Kai and Riku trying to fully come together and understand each other (sort of) as a family, you knew something bad would happen to ruin they're peace. Espically when Deva comes a knocking looking for Riku. In truth I was expecting a rescue Rukia... uh Riku type situation where the kid would be taken by Deva (for her own sick reasons) and Saya would have to track her down until probably the end of the show. However that situation flew out the window when Deva threw out her clothes, bend over to kiss Riku and transfered her blood to him, started raping him (which is pretty damn disturbing. Then again it is Diva we're talking about) which ends up turning the kid into crumbling stone. Ouch. Defintley did not expect that coming. Unless there's a super blood miracle trick Saya can pull off (which I really really doubt) then this was the end for Riku. Poor kid: he didn't even get to prove his usefulness in combat at all before being slaughtered (and it would of been cool seeing him learn how to fight like Haji). Not to mention how broken the family dynamic's going to be. I mean even Saya's going to be able to take out Deva next ep you know she's going to be a mess because of this for the rest of the series. Not to mention Kai who had to watch his little brother getting devoured like that before his eyes. Painful yet powerful stuff. Even the talk about blowing up the ship was pretty interesting this time around. Matter of fact, the only real problem I had with this one were cut battles: as in battles the animation staff didn't show us. Like seeing more of a Phantom/Haji scuffle or Saya fighting him. I also hope they don't try and jist us of a good Saya/Deva battle. Even if it's not they're final it's still going to be good. Oh well. Powerful episode all the same and one of Blood+'s best. And with Riku offically dying it means no one's save. Who will be the next to fall under Deva and the evil Chevaliers or Chorporitans? Find out whenver it happens I guess.

Even though they don't show anything, it's pretty much implied that Diva went all the way an raped Riku, not just simply drinking his blood. (which is why pretty much everyone is saying it)
Plus, as the story progresses, more evidence become apparent that she did have sex with him.

As far as Diva's is concerned Riku is not innocent. A chevalier is a legitimate target, young or not. Given the chance and the means, he would have killed her too.

In one sense, Diva has a point in attacking Riku. It's not because he's a Chevalier, but because he is an associate/family member of Saya. In a sense, Riku is also like the Elrics in FMA. Plus, do you think Diva had a chance in raping and killing Haji? No. However, raping and killing is still raping and killing. Trying to make that sound like a good thing is wrong on all levels.
And, in trying to learn more about Chevaliers via Blood+'s Wikipedia entry, I learned something so disgusting and spoilerific that I'm not even discussing it (at least on this thread).

Technically sufficient hints had been given in this episode, but people are too shocked by Riku's death to notice them... That's probably part of Production IG's plan to distract the audience. Classic Magician's trick, really. :)

Here is a hint... Not a spoiler, but since the clues are all already here, my hint might tell you just enough to figure it all out yourself.

I know that, but she still did it either way. Theres no right way to do that to somebody, whether it's impulse or not. There can be 500 reasons, but none that justify her acts as a 'good' or 'an understandable thing for someone like herself.'

I can't see Riku killing Diva, either. The second she backed him into the wall he was too scared to even move.

That's kind of a good point. I mean really you're going to have a pretty warped view if you childhood consists of being locked in a room and studied all the time with only being given the bare amount of food and nothing else positive besides hearing the voice of some girl you don't even know at the time. If you think about it, Saya and Deva are like Vash and Knives of Trigun: Two look exactly like humans (even though they aren't and do have some weird characteristic) twins. One went through a dramatic expierence to make them "evil" while the other's real tramua only came when the "evil" kid started ruining they're lives. (I still don't know Blood+'s whole story so I don't know how it will end but if it's like Trigun people are probably going to talk about the ending even more then 5 pages Vyse. Speaking fo what Vyse said...

Uh technically wouldn't that mean Riku would actually be a dangerous threat if you compared him to the Elrics. In this ep Riku admitted despite being a Cheavlier he never did go through any special training or really get stronger so it's not like he even rose to say Alphonse's level in terms of fighting. As for Diva having a chance of raping and killing Haji, I'd say yes. If what I remember from episdoe 24 is correct, Deva was able to handle both Saya and Haji without really getting hurt so I'm sure if she wanted to she would of went after him. She probably went after Riku since she had "personal expierence" with him and probably like them "fresh" more or something.

About 40 seconds into the fourth opening, an image of George and Riku appears behind Saya and Diva. The image then "shatters", presumably symbolizing the deaths of both characters.
