This episode had much better animation than past ones. It was quite enjoyable, though the writing was pretty much all over the place. A direct translation of the Japanese would've been better, but that's not how the people at NBC adapted it way back when.

What the hell? There's no climax? That's a strange ending for this show (they usually end in Astro beating up the robot of the week). Despite the unfitting music, it's a nice, touching finish.

I'm glad it airs at 4.30 now, I can watch it right before I go to bed now.

I was falling asleep today though so I didn't follow the plot very well..

Tonight's episode - "The Haunted Ship"

wtf, this sounds so cliche. Then again, this was the early 60's, I doubt many cartoons had done stories about haunted ships before.

Regarding Saturday night's episode, something looked wrong with the picture qaulity as the film looked pretty over-exposed.

Just got Disk 4 of the DVD from the public library and didn't have time to get to the local computer lab. That's pretty cool that your local library has these DVDs. Do they have the whole series? My library system only has common stuff like the Ghibli DVDs put out by Disney.
