Well, we have a new series coming to AS. It's call Garth Merenghi's Darkplace and it's a British comedy. It's a parody of the horror genre and the show is only six episodes long. It premieres tonight at 11 pm Eastern time.

*snkrrxk* Ngggh. *yawn* All right, all right, I'm up. *grumble* Stupid [as], dragging me out here for a premiere on a Friday night...
Two of the things I like to watch - [adult swim] and British comedies - together at last!
"I'm Dr. Dirk Douglas. You're a woman."
"He's no actor."
"I warned Garth I'm no actor."
Man after exploding: "I think I'm gonna die...it really hurts."
It took me a bit to figure out what this was, but I'm going to give this a shot.

I...can't...stop watching! :O
Was Bull-S muted out? If so, wouldn't it be easier to just mute the S-- part out? =/

Some of these guys talk too fast sometimes. Though it is a pretty hilarious show. So campy.

"I don't know...whether someone close to Garth had exploded..."
"Understood?"
"As crystal."
And Howard Moon as the priest!
I love this show. Glad to see it on AS; I hope this leads to a Region 1 DVD release.

I was so excited to hear this was coming to [adult swim]. I just found out, and I've liked this show for a while.

I saw this ep on Sci-fi not too long ago. So I'm not as confused as when I first saw it, its a great little horror spoof. I love how everything was done poorly on purpose... the acting, and how there was a random shovel in a hospital room, the gun turning into a flame thrower, to name a few. :p

Huh,this one totaly passed by me on it's orgional uk run.
Maybe this is WS trying to butter up Channel 4 in order to get it to cough up the rights to modern toss.

For those not in the know, the "fake" indent that preceded the start of the show proper was a real indent in the UK. The "4 blocks" indent was the indent of Channel 4 (UK) and was used between the channel's creation on Tuesday 2 November 1982 and 1996.
Its main features are the multi coloured blocks which make the "4" and the "Fourscore" jingle.
It was retired in 1996 and the channel has had 3 redesigns since, maybe I'll delve into those in the weeks to come.
It has been used since its retirement in 1996 to advertise the Teen-young adult channel E4 and had a one day encore on November 2nd 2007 in calibration of the channel's 25th anniversary.
There is a fairly decent argument for the "artistic Draught" that the UK TV industry would have been suffering at around 2003...
See? I'm not just a bitter sod who hates Media Blasters for thier lust of the almighty Dollar, I'm a bitter sod who hates Media Blasters for thier lust for the almighty dollar AND a depository of useless brittish television trivia!

If you like this, it's worth doing an IMDB serch for all the actors, although IT crowd, a sitcom about guys who work in the IT department or a big office is a little weak in parts, despite having amazing people in (Chris Morris from Brass Eye, Alan Partrdge and The Day Today & Noel Fielding from Mighty Boosh) Theres some other great stuff, Snuff Box for one also Nathan Barley (although I don't know how specifically the humour in that applies to a very particular type of London ****...
They are one of those groups of people who all appear in each others shows, so with a bit of research you can find tons of amazing shows!
Also pretty chuffed you guys like this, it wasn't really noticed by that many people straight off over here. So I'm glad it's found a good home on US tv :anime:
I have a new show I'll be following. It has some charm. And the fact that it's intentionally bad. I did enjoy Garth/Dagless and Dean/Thorton killing Dagless' friend a second time. Overkill FTW.
