There's a brand new episode of Lucy, Daughter of the Devil on the FIX now and Sunday at 12:15PM. Note it's the last episode of Season One and probably the last one for awhile (and if it dosen't get renewed, ever), episode 10 (11 including the pilot). "Monster".

SYNOPSIS:
"A monster has been coming across the golden gate bridge at night and attacking the city of San Francisco. Everyone - Satan, DJ Jesus, Senator Whitehead, even the Pope - want to be involved in the final confrontation with this huge, terrible and strangley familar creatue.

REVIEW:
This was actually one of the better episodes of the season. Unlike other episodes it wasn't really given any chances to have a slow spot as it was straight through delving into the plot about the whole monster. Nice twist with him being the Senator BTW. Guess since he's one of Satan's minions he was given some sort of power I suppose so I guess that would be turning into a random monster when angered or something power. I also liked the various plots going on: Jesus trying to beatbox the monster (though it was the weakest of the plots thinking of it. Only good part was the beatboxing and the helicopter going down), the priests taking the Pope to see the monster (mainly for the Special Sister losing the bet, the Pope trying to beatbox and the tour at the end) and of course Satan's whole plot was good (I liked Becky excited about the missles, Satan's random comments while everything was going on, Satan flattering/angering the Senator, and the end where Lucy tricks Satan into believing she's pregenent for a minute. For a second I thought we'd be treading Venture Brothers Season Two Finale talk with the cliffhanger but good to see it was all a joke. Overall a fairly solid ep. If Lucy had more eps like this I'd wish it to have a new season faster then if it had eps like some of the other in the season that weren't quite too good.

Well that's it. Enjoy Everyone!

Eh...

It was...

It was okay, I guess.

The only bit that was actually funny was the end.

And even that didn't make me laugh.

A mediocre end to a mediocre first season of a mediocre show.

This show had better pick up next season if it gets renewed.

That was funny episode. I knew the the Senator Bob would have a monstrous form(After all, he had a different form in the pilot episode) but I didn't expect him to be the giant monster.

I can't for season 2. ;)

Wow, the popularity for this show on this forum is dead...

Basically, for me the most consistently funny thing about this show is the priests and I thought they were in top form with thie pope in this episode. And hey, Lucy finally has a plot revolve around her somewhat in this one,I believe she has more screen time in this episode than in "The Busboy". I thought the naked senetor was just part of the usually shock "humor" that adult swim is accustomed to, but seeing as how it was relevent to the plot in the end I guess it's acceptable. The bit in the end credits was good too.

Satan's found himself a new pet.

Will the pope want some dim sum? (A: No.)

Human beatboxing will save us all.

Becky likes the missile idea.

Satan's sweet-talking the future President.

Remember the pilot episode?

"You can't just keep saying beatbox!"

Why do you think they made the Popemobile?

...or maybe just the missiles.

Whoa. Lucy actually did something.

See you next season...should you get one.

I totally totally rate this show, I love H. Jon Benjamin (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0071304/)'s voice talent, the akward, slightly improv sounding exchanges between him and Becky contrat so well with the pure comedic trio of the preists (and nun).

Favourite thing about this ep was the animation on the monsters crotch, wit the big gun attached to it. I do't know why, but it really did

Possibly my favourite as show at the moment....

If every episode were like this, Lucy would probably be one of the shows on Adult Swim that I would look forward to. Lots of different characters, problems, and motivations were going on, plus there were some funny jokes to boot.

B+ for the episode, C for the season. I was one of the people pulling for this show when it was a pilot, but Lucy has not impressed whole-heartedly quite yet.
