There's a new Episode of Adult Swim's newest (well animated anyway) Show on the FIX now and Adult Swim Sunday at Midnight. It's episode two and it's apparently as loveable/hatable as 12 Oz Mouse, Xaiver, Renegade Angel "Chief Beef Loco".
SYNOPSIS:
When a young boy's dream of mascoting gets crushed by a local gang of gang members, Xaiver takes the toughs under his wing. His good deedery results in a drug lord's death - and per chance a lover for Xaiver?
REVIEW:
Compared to a lot of AS shows, this is pretty much too weird and confusing to be funny (yeah I know that's saying something for AS shows but it's really true in this case). I mean there were a couple of good lines here (mainly Xaiver dumping the kid in the sewers, the drug gang confessions (like "rape is not an excuse" and they're love for decorating poodles) and Xaiver talking about spreading aids at the end) but that's all the series really amounts to at this point. A few good lines between eleven or so minutes of weird randomness of Xaiver going town to town for... some kind of quest or something. Defintley better then say Darkplace (which isn't saying much) but defintley a fairly weak episode. You don't need to be made of mosiquiotos to see that.
Well that's it. Enjoy this one (or not) everyone!

Not as good as last weeks episode, but still pretty enjoyable. Some of the bits really worked, but a few fell a bit short. Still my favorite show on AS right now.

I'm really liking this show.
"I killed him hard. Pulled out his heart and showed it to him, and he was like, 'Nice!'"
"Now everyone will know the Loco's are crazy about post-modernist aesthetic contextual framing."

What's up with this show? It's like... it doesn't have any point at all. I mean, it's somewhat funny occasionally, but I'm not laughing at it. I'm just... in wonder at its bizarre graphics and plot. I mean, I'm interested by it, but not really amused. It's just so... different. Though the main character isn't that funny. He's seems like he's just a hippy parody made forty years too late. But I'm not sure yet since it's only two episodes in. Whatever. I'll keep watching since it's so different.

I actually liked this episode, didn't really know what to make out of the pilot, but this one was pretty good. The "whip crack high five" from Wondershowzen was my favorite joke from that show, I'm glad they carried it over to this one too. I thought all the mosquito gags were hilarious. Am I the only one who thinks the character designs look like The Sims? Anyways, this show is really weird, and I'm interested to see where it's going.
A
Seemed just as strong and just as funny as the previous episode.
Xavier is the only show I'm pumped to see every week on adult swim ever since Frisky left the schedule.

And now episode two of Grand Theft Showzen.
More hicks.
"My visual connection to this beautiful world has been severed!"
Never have rednecks spoken so poetically.
I mistook that mascot conversation.
"What do your heart spirits have to say to your mindsacks?"
Mexican hoods have so many secrets.
They've been dealing drugs with the Terminator?
"IacceptJesusChristasmypersonalsaviorYES, MADE IT!"
If the humor in this show is that weird, perhaps I could forgive the choice of animation style.
Wish we could have seen what happened to the real Percy, though.

I thought this episode was more funny than the last one - and that's actually saying something. The dialog is just pretty much awesome. I also have high hopes for episode 3 after the clip they played for it.

I think it'll take few more episodes, but Xavier is starting to become my favorite AS show. It's like a less repulsive version of McGee.

We did. He got together with the swarm of mosquitos.

There's no credits on this show. Who does the voice of Xavier? That's the best part of the show for me. Along with the echo at the end of all his sentences.

That same voice was in a few Wonder Showzens as well, but I'm guessing it's either John Lee (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Lee_%28PFFR%29) and Vernon Chatman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vernon_Chatman) who does Xavier, although John is the one I'm leaning towards.

I heard it was Jim Tozzi.
