You get there by clicking "Users Currently Online" from the main page - http://forums.toonzone.net/online.php?s=
I like visiting there, cause it's harmless voyueristic fun....=O

though, it can be wierd, like in the past, I've seen ppl looking at my profile...very odd.

Anyway, a few minutes ago I started looking @ that page, noticed someone else was too...found another person looking at an old thread, so I clicked the thread to see if there was something new there...and then went back to the who's online page to see that person 1 had followed me...

weird =O

anyway...just thought I'd share, and wondered who else visits that page, and if they have any odd stories....=\

Wow, you must be bored :P

*sees Brian viewing the "Nightflower! Look out behind you!" thread*

There's a "Nightflower! Look out behind you!" thread? *goes to investigate why she should look out behind her*

edit: That's odd.... I can't click on that particular link and I can't find that thread anywhere.... hmm.... mysterious...

I saw Brian viewing a "Karkull! Look out behind you!" thread. Is that some kind of automatic thing? If not then that's really creepy.

Yes, Brian has a "your name here" thing going on...

He changes it from time to time...

Many other ppl might think it odd that you're looking at what they're doing! :p

The only time I go to the "Who's Online?" thing is when I have sent a PM or something. I have pleanty of other things to keep me busy. :)

Yep, Viewing "Who's Online" is a guilty pleasure of mine. I guess it gives me an inflated sense of power or something (considering I have none :p ) just to know what's going on around the boards.

Plus it makes it oh so easy to stalk people. :D

I usually have it open in a separate window.

It's one of my favorite features on the boards. It's interesting to see where some of the posters are and what they're doing.

It should be noted for those of you starting to get paranoid...there is a feature to BLOCK ppl from seeing what you're up to...not sure if it blocks the mods though! =O

Mr. Obsession

Well I know that there's a option to put you in an "invisible" mode, but that way you don't even show up on the "Who's Online".

Hmm... I've been searching but can't seem to find the option that blocks other users from seeing what you're doing. Not that it's a big deal. I know some other users have this enabled, but I just want to know how to do it.

Ok that is the creepiest thing. Big Brother type stuff. *shudder*

I gotta tell ya, this "Who's Online" page sounds pretty tempting, but I think I'll stick to my regular habit of looking at new threads, replying to some, and then popping some Tylenol till I pass out.

Well being new to this board I have used the where is everyone at page so that I can see what is popular. I like to see what everyone is up to and go to those threads and see what is so cool about that one.

Very interesting, that "Who's Online" section......sometimes gets people to do crazy things. (That party should not have been at my house!! :p )

You know what's really funny......when you logout and wonder who in the world could be looking at the thread "Unregistered! Look behind you!!". :D

Saw my name on the ":Look behind you" thread one day. Lost my dang mind trying to find it. [Peter Lorre voice] It still hasn't fully returned to me...[fiendish giggle]....

Hee hee.....I was Unregistered when you posted that, Salvor. I have to admit, it was quite funny going to the "Who's Online" page and seeing someone repyling to the "Have you visited the 'Who's Online' Page?".....

Edit: Brian Cruz, if it's *your* business to see what *we're* doing, then it's certainly *our* business to see what *you're* doing!!! :p

Better be careful, Kingy. I have a feeling a large number of those "gueasts" are banned members still ghosting around the site, unable to post and scheming to find a back door in.

Some are, actually. We found a couple of them trying to hack in to discover some passwords. They were, of course, denied! Alot of them, thevast majority of them, are ghosting the newspage. We had a huge resurgance yesterday due to a couple of DVD posts which are getting ample exposure around the web.

Bunches....but on days like today (which are more often then not) I browse the boards @ work for about 5 hours...(off & on) and then from home for about 4-5 hours (off and on)

so...that's alot of time...add to that my obsessive desire to respond to everything...and...well...

heh...

I'm still no where near Jim's level...=O

I average about 20 posts a day...acording to my profile...

heh.....you've been around ALOT longer than me though...so, while I've had very few days where I haven't posted...you probably have.

heh, as I've been told countless times...it's not a race though...and alot of my posts are silly. :D

(would this be a bad time to point out I've deleted over twenty of my own posts for various reasons, so my post count is a bit smaller than what's really true...)

Back on topic...back on topic...hrm...

well, if I had cool mod/owner powers like Brian, I'd make my who's online thingie read - "*Person* The number you have dialed has been disconnected.."

cause...

erm..

cause that's all I could think of on short notice to get back on topic!

Your right Jim, sorry for my part in that, I do have a comment on the who's online page.
I like to use it to see new topics that I maynot have seen, and having a shortcut to that topic is very handy.
My compliments to the designers.

It is neat to see some old threads, too. I was going through it not too long ago, and I saw guests skimming the newspage looking up some really old stories. So, I clicked on some of those links from stories reported way back in September and August. It's a neat feature, definatly. Provides some entertasinment in your board, and helps (in it's own way) stop those uesless "I'm bored" (etc) posts that pop up every now and again.

Danielle

Whoops. Sorry. :o

The "Who's Online" page can be very confusing, though...every time you refresh the page, at least one person is in a different place.
