When did they start calling it crunchy? Didn't it used to be called chunky? Well, that's the one I picked.

Chunky, Crunchy, they're both the same! They taste the same! and I'm glad to see I'm not the only chunky/crunchy fan!

Ohhhh, a peanut butter topic! I love crunchy! And did you know the FDA allows for a certain amount of animal and bug parts in food, usually undetectable to people. And didja know that peanut butter is the worst? I forget the exact numbers, but the FDA allows for more bug parts in peanut butter than anyother food, and you never know they are in there, because they get ground up with the nuts. Bon appetite!

(I hope nobody is too bothered by this! It's one of those Discovery Channel type pieces of information. It's never bothered me because I figured I ate peanut butter all the time before I learned that, and actually, bugs ARE good for you. You won't catch me eating them whole, but they certainly must add to the protein in peanut butter!)

My father always said, "Never think while you eat. If you think about wher the food you eat came from, you'd never eat anything, and starve to death."

He was right. The FDA allows for such things on all foods, not just peanut butter. It's not because the FDA is stupid, or because of some conspiracy :) -- it's because it would be impossible to eliminate it, so minimizing it is the best they can do.

Another reason not to worry concerns the old saying: "Poisioning the customers is bad for business."

Here's another way to think about it: Congressmen and farmers have to eat too, right? And they eat their food knowing EXACTLY where it comes from and how it's really made. So if they can eat peanut butter sandwiches, so can I. :)

Oh, and I like creamy. Crunchy just doesn't "feel" right to me. And I can understand why they don't call it Chunky anymore. Weight gain!

Chunky/crunchy, hands down. I got this cool all natural creamy peanut butter, but I wish they'd hurry up and make the chunky variety.

Either. Two peanut butter sandwiches (jelly optional) and two burritos makes a great high protein lunch. Though chunky p.b. must be applied carefully so as not to tear the bread.

I suppose the next poll will involve jelly preference?

Ah, yes. Jelly. Fruit for those too lazy to chew!

Speaking of lazy, have you guys seen the instant, pre-wrapped slices of peanut-butter and jelly? Man, you know you're lazy when you can't spread the damn stuff!

I like it smooth myself. There's nothing wrong w/ chunky, but smooth is what my mom gets so smooth is what i prefer :p .

I used to like crunchy a lot, but once I got braces, I couldn't eat the stuff without mucj discomfort. After my braces came off, I tried crunchy again, but it just wasn't the same as before. My vote goes for smooth, but I would vote for both, if I could.
