I make that sound so...
Anyway, hi, everybody!! I'm hoping some of you remember me...I posted here for 2 or 3 years until about a year ago, when I got a wacky job and my life sort of went a little screwy after that. Anyway, I finally had a chance tonight to drop in and do more than scan the board, so I wanted to say hi. And that I'll try to post a little more often than once a year in the future--things are just pretty strange right now.
And for those that don't know me, I'm a P&tB fan, and also a P&tB collector (well, was. I haven't bought anything in a long time as my life has changed somewhat. But that doesn't mean I don't love what I have).
Anyway, good to be back, and I've missed you all. Peace out.

Heeey there!!!
Great to see you back in these parts! How have yea been? Where have yea been? (What have yea been?!) Egads, I wish we had time to catch up. You'd never guess where I am right at this very moment... nope, nope, nope. (Even those who know where I am would never guess where I am specifically.) I'm on my own extended leave for the summer, and I'm having countless new and unique experiences each day.
For example... Last night I travelled back in time to 1300AD and got locked up in the stocks as punishment for running around like an Animaniac. Somehow my cohort managed to remain free... This must have been revenge for when we had to mutilate that poor chicken for lunch. Hey, you've gotta find some way to eat back in the 14th Century.
Remember, if you ever build a time machine, don't let *this* happen to you!

Eheheheh... Anyway, let us know what's been up. =)

SIREN!!!!!!!
Welcome back!!!!! We've missed you sooooooooo much!! It's great to see you again! It's good to hear that things are going well =)
As for myself, things went a little downhill during college, and I ended up in Jail... so now I'm in jail... the sentence is only about a year or so... er... I work in a jail I should say... as a result of the internship I had last year.... So, I'm stuck in Williamsport, PA =X
It's great to hear from ya, don't be a stranger!!

You've been missed!
As for the title of your post...well, the siren is a figure in mythology noted for using her song to make sailors go lust-crazed and committ suicide by crashing their ships into rocks...so there is a note of menace (pardon the pun) in your handle. So excuse me a moment while I, like Ulysses, stick wax in my ears, just in case... ;)

Siren! Good for you to be back, tho you might not remember me as I started posting just before you left I think. Anyway, how can I not remember the author of The MouseFeathers, one of my favorite fanfics. I just keep imagining Paulsen, Vennera, & Lamarche trading voices & characters. Not to mention the inestimable contributions to Package Deal, Warner Academy, Circle Closing In, & Chaos of Characters. I think almost all the old gang have found this place by now. Caps & Brainatra have recently returned, beepbeep & Kojiro are going by other names now, let's see, who's still not here. gfoyle, Gerard, the CUTE One, Loud Kiddington, & I don't think Sylvester's been around yet, tho PennyCat has. And nemalki, oh & Taito, but otherwise. To get back to the original point, welcome back, Siren.

Nftnat tells it like it is:
Not to mention the inestimable contributions to Package Deal, Warner Academy, Circle Closing In, & Chaos of Characters.
Naaah, she didn't do *THAT* much for the WBC fanfic world. Just invented the chain link and stuff...nothing major......
But it's great to see you again, Siren! A lot has changed around here, as I guess should be pretty obvious...but we left your stuff right where it was! Romey wouldn't even let me eat that box of now-year-old chocolates you left on your vanity. And one time I was really hungry and I begged him but he wouldn't let me and now they're all stale and hard and not doing anybody any good anyway...
But it sounds like you're rather busy these days, so I'll spare you the details. Suffice it to say I'm still hungry. I was hoping someone would bring cake for Colin's birthday, but I ain't seen nothin' yet. Poo.

Yes, I remember you. I just keep having that problem remembering who I am, poit.

Are you aware that P&TB is on Nickelodeon at 6/5 PM? If you haven't seen it, you wouldn't believe what they did to the intro. =X
And in the same thread, Romey! I thought you were going to stay out of trouble. ;)

Romey: You are too funny! =D The last person I thought would end up in shackels in Italy...are you checking email regularly? And if so, should I use the address you have in your profile? (Or the link, as the case might be.) I want to hear all about what's up, and I have a ton to tell you as well.
Colin: The first person I thought would end up in shakels. ;) j/k Have you graduated yet? And how's jail--is the food as bad as they say it is?
Hatter: You're too sweet. =)
Belchie: Hehe...you ain't kidding. Better stock up on the wax... ;)
Nftnat: I don't believe we did talk too much. Your post, btw, just made my year. =) Thank you so much--I'm so glad you enjoyed Mousefeathers. I'm always tickled when someone says they enjoyed my writing, and I've never had anyone say it was their favorite before. =) I'd actually forgotten all about it--maybe I ought to submit it to fanfic.net...
Craig: There's some Vienna sausauges in the left hand corner of the cedar chest. Just brush off the mold--it's perfectly edible. Thanks for not moving the dresser, btw.
Narfpinky: I saw it was on Nick, but I haven't watched it, since I have most of the eps I like on tape. I'll have to see this intro though--you've peaked my curiosity!
Everyone else: Thank you for your patience. You may now return to your regularly scheduled posting.

You have no idea. Methinks Romey's lost it. He's always saying "sbonk", like it's a mantra er sum junk. His devotion to Billie's finally gotten to him. And he's not the only one to've flipped; Sharklady did around the same time, but she's recovered. And Danielle went crazy since, & Craig's always been that way. Then there was the Phantom Anviller, who got Danielle, Craig & me. Danielle's confessed to it, but I still think it was either Craig or maybe Colin & Sharklady in on it together. And let us not get into the flame wars; they're there for your perusal should you so desire.

...hi there, Siren. THings I've done relevant to this forum in the past year: getting a newer computer (last week, a used Power Mac 7500, much superior to my old clunker; expect a new 56k modem to arrive via UPS later this week...said modem/computer bought off eBay real cheap).
Also had a few fanfiction stories archived on the Story Board: "Saturday Morning Fever" (Pinky, Billie, and the Brain turn the lab into the hot nightclub ACME 54 in late-70's NYC; guest appearance by a late-adolescent-aged Cursing One), a sequel to "Warner Academy" (chainlink story: the heroes all team up [with a reformed Axel Foley] to stop the evil Stewie Griffin (of "Family Guy" fame) and Rupert Murdoch from taking over Chicago and clearing their names [after Stewie/Murdoch used a truly evil means of slandering them]), "Mr. Foley Goes to Washington" (Axel runs for the US Congress, with the help of the Warners/mice; lots of now-dated Election Day 2000 jokes abound), and finally, "Brain's Mission For President Reagan" (in Capt. Cap's favorite time era, we see Pinky, Billie, and Brain, at the request of President Reagan, team up with Superboy [Superman-as-a-teenager, per the old comics] in the late 80's to save a space shuttle launch from sabotage. Features: lots of jelly beans...]
Also expressed my annoyance awhile back with the announced fall KWB lineup, noted the cancellation of the "Animaniacs" comic book, and still don't watch "The Simpsons", among other things... :-)

Congrats on getting a new computer!! That's always a lot of fun! I'm hoping to get a new one myself next year (everyone remember when I got my current one?).
I'll definately try to catch up on all the fanfics. It may take me a while though, as I'm not online as much as I used to be. But I will definately try. I especially want to see how "Circle Closing In" ended up. When I last left, it was a year old and still being written. :D
Glad to hear all is well.

Thanks...though as stated before, it's a used computer, but still newer than the old one I had :-)

Ah...I wasn't sure if you'd already read/heard of "Brain's Mission..." yet, thus my mentioning (plugging?) it. Basically written to fulfill my desire to write a Superboy story, with his time era (the 1980's) being the result of the whole "nonaging comic characters"/"Superman's teen years perpetually floating a certain # of years behind the present" deal more than any, ahem, nostalgic desires (if it were up to me, I'd have set it in the 60's, per the Superboy-meets-President-Kennedy story it's loosely based on :-)
Other stories of potential interest:
- "Have Yourselves a Wakko Little Christmas": written Christmas before last, featuring an endless parade of characters trying to "save Christmas". Features: the Flash...magical Christmas elves...and a gazillion song-and-dance numbers. And of course, the now-ubiquitous McDonald's™ stop!
- "The Fastest Mice Alive": the lab mice in Mexico, helping Speedy stop the evil mechanizations of another Shadow-Ensconsed Villain who has Rocky, Muggsy, and Daffy in his employ. Featuring the mice racing about at superspeed in "hypervelocity suits"... also spawned an apparently-all-but-forgotten-by-now sequel (mostly between me and beepbeep)
- (not submitted to the Story Archives yet, but was posted) "Brain of Two Worlds": Written on my own. Brain and Pinky travel to a parallel Earth where they discover their older-than-they-are counterparts are still trying to take over their world, but get caught up when the other-world-Billie's kidnapped by this "other" world's Wallace (*not* Wally) Faust. Meanwhile, "Our" Billie tries to get help via the assistance of Superman.
- (also not submitted for Archiving yet) "Radio Free Warners": The Warners and Axel Foley decide to start up a radio station, but face opposition from the FCC/Plotz/Dr. Laura/other purveyors of the usual FM radio junk clogging today's airwaves. Featuring the Warners actually learning some new gags (instead of that "two places at once" thing), and the overabuse of "ninja-thugs" (as Romey coined the term in "Christmas")...
- "Motown Mice": Written by me and Romey. The lab mice back in the 60's try to become Motown-style singers.
I think Robert wrote a bunch of Maltin-esque summaries of these (and more) that sums things up better than I do...
>>Glad to hear all is well.
Guess so, if one ignores the continued plight of humanity as a whole's woes... ;-)

What can I say? Life has been extremely odd and ironic. Plenty of other interesting stuff happening too, on and off the job here in Italy. I'm still checking my college e-mail addy, but my TZ address is on hold until I return, mid-August. If you don't still have my college addy, just ask Harl or Craig for it. I think you mean 'Mouse in the Mirror.' Yes, alas; that one came to a grinding halt when Romey was late putting up his installment. In fact, he *still* hasn't done so. A real shame, after we'd gone and planned it out to the end, and all.
'Circle Closing In' has long since been completed, and is, IMO, still the best thing on the Fanfic page.

Y'all have? What happens what happens what happens? I must know! When it left off, "Brain", helped by Pinky & Billie, had just won that Entertainment Tonight contest which meant bankrolling his run for president. Meanwhile, in the alternate world, Brain was helping Mahatma Slappy & her followers in their quest to overthrow Emperor Pinky. Brain & "Skippy" had just closed a deal with the Warner Syndicate for weapons, while Mahatma Slappy had secured Goodbye Florence's services from Smart Ralph. And then, nothing! Right now It's higher in my estimation than even CCI, but that might be because it's unfinished. Or is that a Schubert ref? Anyway, I wanna see it finished! But maybe that fic that disposes of Phar that Romey's been talking about comes first. Well, I've waited a year; I can wait longer, but 'tain't easy. I'll be looking forward to the continuation. *tick* *tick* *tick*

Brainatra: It seems I have a lot of summer reading to do! :) BTW, where is the board where all these are posted? I found the Fanfic Archive and the Chainlink Board, but I haven't figured out where all the other stories are--and if I write new stories where I should post them. So much has changed...Whew! (But it looks faboo! :D)
Harl: I'll email ASAP. Hopefully within the next couple of days. :) Romey: I'll get your email from Harl.
Regarding Unfinished Chainlinks: Yeah, I did mean "Mouse in the Mirror." "Circle Closing In" was done before I even graduated (2 whole years ago...wow...). I can't believe MitM hasn't moved an inch since I left. I figured you all would have it wrapped up, put in a box, and mailed to yourselves long ago. But I'm also kind of glad. I might still like to write my part--if I can find all my old emails with the details about what that was, and if you all would still like me to. Also, where is what's done posted? I need to review...

I've got this one! Siren, the completed fanfics are collected on the Unofficial Warner Bros. Club Homepage (& getting more unofficial by the second). It's @ http://www.toonzone.net/wbc/fun/fanfics/ . As for the fanfics in stasis shall we say, aka The WBC Bulletin Board, go to http://www.toonzone.net/wbc/wbcbb_archive , then click on Storyboard Archive 2 for MItM. Of course, there's other stuff in the archives like the unfinished Skippy's Parents, etc. Now that I think about it, maybe your co-authors were just waiting for you to return. That being the case, write on, peoples!

Well, I sure would like to see'Mouse in the Mirror' completed. Nftnat- in fact, I could finish it myself, if necessary. But it'll have to be re-posted on the Story page first, and I haven't any idea how to go about that.
Let's hope Romey eventually finds the time to do so.

I could repost it easily enough. But I'd only be able to cobble together the parts as they're posted on the old Board. I don't suppose anyone has some sort of edited version somewhere...?

Well, I contributed a few threads to 'Spaced Out Warners.' Tho I don't know if I'll be able to contribute more; the story seems to be branching out in unexpected directions just when I thought it was about to wrap up. For writing inspiration, I require *some* sense of where the plot should go.
On my own, I'm working on a Powerpuff Girls fanfic; 'The Mojo Dilema.' I don't know whether I'll ever get a chance to post it (obviously it wouldn't fit here), but at least it's helping to give me my minimun-daily-required dose of Mojo. If you're interested, I suppose I could e-mail it to you when it's done.

Siren: Oh, I agree that we should wait until Romey gets back, and hopefully he'll have at least a bit of free time to contribute. It would be unfair to finish it behind his back. Of course, if he still doesn't have any free time, I don't think there will be any stopping Sharklady from finishing the thing herself (at least, I'm certainly not gonna try... ;). And it's only fair...she has been very patiently waiting an awful long time.
I was merely offering to repost it, in case anyone wanted to refresh their memory on what's already there.
SL: Feel free to post the Mojo story on the Story Board, and even send it in to the Archive! I'd be happy to put it up...the News page, the comics page, and several other sections of TZ have PPG / CN-related stuff...I don't see why the fanfic archive shouldn't.

Yes, Romey wants very much to be involved. That's the problem--he's been incredibly occupied (through no fault of his own, I assure you all, being familiar with his circumstances), and his not wanting the story to be finished without him is the lone factor that's held the thing up for the last...(checks dates)...TWO YEARS?!
Yikes.
I'd hate to see it come to doing this without Romey's input. His influence has been immeasurable in the canon thus far, and he put a ton of care into this story especially. I know he rewrote his own parts zillions of times, paying careful attention to the smallest details, and went over most of my parts with me almost line-by-line, trying to make them as sharp as possible. We'll just have to see what happens, I guess.
But anyhow...my offer to repost what's done still stands. ;)
