I had a chance today to go to my flea market to check out a Military Collection Expo there today which even though i showed up an hour before it closed (stupid meeting), but i was able to touch some nice M1 Grand rifles that were going for 400 and more, got to see some Nazi flags, old German Uniforms and i bought me a AKM Bayonet for like 20 bucks (been looking for one for the past 3 years).

As for my collection, ive got some of the Ultimate Solder toys (there like GI Joes, on steroids and better uniforms), ive got a drilled out grenade, got a couple of medals/ ribbons, a .50cal dummy round (hollowed out of course) and to add the AKM bayonet i picked up today. Oh and i know my bro has a Tommy Gun magazine as well and a few more things too.

Just wondering if theres any war buffs in this forum, would like to know what you have in your collection...

I've got a couple drilled out grenades that I've had since I was little.

But my dad has the big collection. Tons of vintage WWII clothing and various other items. He and his friend used to regularly participate in WWII events and battle reenactments and such, so they both have pretty big collections. The coolest (IMO) was a small WWII-era pouch I bought for him at a flea market years ago that, once I got it home, we realized still contained several papers for the soldier it had originally belonged to: his name, unit number, base he was stationed at, all that kind of information.

I still have my collection of toy soldiers from my childhood, but that's it for now.

So the seller never bothered to open the pouch and look inside?...

I'm not sure. That's why we were surprised to find so much documentation. I don't even know if it belonged to a family member of the person selling it, or if they had gotten it somewhere else first and then were reselling it. Nice little piece of history, though.
