Today's Popeye showed black & white cartoons from the 30's.
I liked them better colorized. What's your opinion?

I like the b&w Popeyes much better than the "colorized" ones. The colorized versions kill the three-dimensional background effects you see in such cartoons as "Learn Polikeness," "King of the Mardi Gras" and the zoo in "Little Swee'Pea," as well as the "film break" effect in the final scene of the "Goon Island" cartoon when Popeye and his Pappy escape.
And these cartoons were originally made in black and white. Most people (especially die-hard Popeye fans) prefer to watch them that way.

You want to color, get some crayons and a coloring book.
Show 'em as they were made, in glorious black and white.

There was a time not too long ago when Boomerang ONLY aired the B/W Popeyes redrawn, so needless to say they've come a long way.

Real Popeye fans watch 'em in Black "or" White (I ment Black and White)

The redrawn/colorized Popeye animated flicks are just naught but a soulnuking insult to the Popeye mythos/legend. These evil color "impostors", as our Uncle Leonard Maltin would put it, need to be DESTROYED, period.
