I've thought that this could be a nice marathon for CN commemorating the Halloween holiday:
Do a sendup on the infamous "War of the Worlds" Mercury Theater radio broadcast by Orson Wells. This time, when the narrator and news bulletins purport to report an attack on Earth by Mars, what they're doing is actually introducing all the cartoons that feature Marvin the Martian.
The marathon could include the original Looney Tunes/Merry Melodies classics "Haredevil Hare", "Hasty Hare", "Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2 Century", "Hare-Way to the Stars", and "Mad as a Mars Hare". As well as more modern appearances such as "Duck Dodgers and the Return of the 24 1/2 Century", Spaced Out Bunny", "Bugs Bunny's Lunar Tunes", "Marvin the Martian in the 3rd Dimension," and "Duck Dodgers Jr." (last from"Tiny Toon Adventures"). Perhaps in a stretch parodying the point in "War of the Worlds" in which the despairing news announcers inform their audience that the Martians are landing everywhere, the marathon narration could skip through the Marvin the Martian cameos in "Animaniacs" and "Space Jam". And of course, Marvin the Martian played a major role in CN's "Duck Dodgers" TV series, which would be run as part of the marathon. It could even include an episode from the past season of "Loonatics".
I think it would be fun to watch. Anybody of the same (or opposite) opinion out there?
