Yeah and where is Scooby Doo? You can't have a tribute to Hanna Barbara without Scooby Doo.

Mr. Ranger appeared blonde in several episodes from Yogi's Gang (Hanna-Barbera/Columbia Pictures, 1973)

Yeah and where is Scooby Doo? You can't have a tribute to Hanna Barbara without Scooby Doo.

Judging by the presence of such characters as Ruff and Reddy, Lippy the Lion and Touché Turtle (all of whom pretty much fell into obscurity after 1970 or so), the above picture was probably done in the early-to-mid 1960s, before "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?" premiered. There were only so many Hanna-Barbera cartoons at that time - though the absence of Top Cat does leave me scratching my head ("Top Cat" predated "The Jetsons", which is represented in the picture).

As for the article itself - I can't help but take everything John Kricfalusi says with a grain of salt. Somehow, his claim that Joe Barbera hated "Scooby-Doo" seems a little iffy.
