I'm Very Concerned About Fried Dynamite. What If It Gets Low Ratings Like How Fridays Did?

I hope it does. Infact, I hope all the live action stuff flops on CN.

I'm not too sure yet. I don't know about you, but I'm going to give it a chance before I judge it.
As much as I hate to admit it, I have a feeling it'll do pretty well. Let's face it: kids love seeing other kids act silly.
That won't stop me from hoping against hope that it bombs, though.

I think it would do good, but since its just bumpers in a line up so I don't care what happens to it.

Friday's really didn't bomb. The ratings gradually got lower as they lowered the number of premieres and changed out the hosts. Since many of the toons that aired on Friday will be airing on Fried Dynamite, I think the ratings will be equal to what Friday's ratings were. I do not think they will increase solely from changing the hosts to kids.

I think a lot of it will depend on the actual shows it hosts! After all, Fried Dynamite is not really a show, it's just a hosting of the real shows. If the cartoons are fresh and good, people will watch the block.
I find it hard to believe that people will not watch the cartoon block because they don't like the wrapper.
The success of Fried Dynamite will depend on the quality of the cartoons that the network offers, not on Fried Dynamite itself. Also, kids may not be as discriminating about all of this as the grown ups. And what/whose ratings are they measuring anyway?

Yep..
RPobably it'll have Fridays liek ratings, maybe a lil' but more.., but it'll probably be cheaper compared to Tommy and Tara(Since the kid probably works for Beans)

How well Fried Dynamite does depends on how good the shows that are featured on it are. A block is only as good as its' lineup, after all. Who really cares about the host segments?

Ipersonally see it no differently then I saw old fridays. I'm still going to ignore the human segments.

If there are no musical guests, I bet it will be a ton cheaper. What do you think it cost them to bring on Jesse McCartney?

About 13 million, heck, if they want to put Miley Cyrus as an Act, that would cost CN a whopping 25 mil, a big ouch in profits

So, what would happen if you deep fried dynamite? I would imagine it would explode, but then again, maybe when dynamite gets wet it wouldn't work.

I still don't get why people are still upset that the Cartoon characters aren't hosting anymore. It was fun when it was new, but not only did it go back to the same characters, but they said the same things. And if we had them now, we'd get Rodney, or Lazlo hosting it. Do you really want that?
Oh. Fried Dynamite. I think it will succeed in it's first week, but after that, it will go downhill.

Yes. I'd rather have lame cartoon characters hosting the block than lame live action kids running around making fools of themselves.

Everyone is making this seem like it's going to be the downfall of the network. It's a block. Not a show; a block. A block which consists of mostly cartoons, and when it's not cartoons, it at least has cartoons playing a minor role[Out of Jimmy's Head]. The main kid seems really passionate about cartoons, so I have faith that he will help keep Cartoon Network stay cartoon-y.
And everyone is acting like a live-action block has never done on Cartoon Network. Fridays, which lasted about 3/4 years, and also the original Friday night block[the one before CCF]. And, IIRC, they re-ran that same block the next morning. And all of the ones prior to Fried Dynamite were hosted by adults.
Let me tell you one thing: Watching kids acting like kids is a whole lot easier to watch than adults acting crazy and trying to act like kids. At least Fried Dynamite will be good in that sense.
In closing, I don't think this block[or Dynamite Action Squad] will be too horrible. We all know it's been done way worse before on this network.

Again, Fried Dynamite is a block. Not a show in and of itself. A block is only as good as the shows it features; the wraparounds are irrelevant. If the cartoons that FD shows are good, then it will do well. If FD runs inferior shows (or the same 5 shows that we can see any other time on CN), then it will likely bomb.

yea, it's just like Fridays. And it seems that they will be airing the same 5 shows, but they will also air some new shows as well.
I'm going to stay by my prediction that it will do ok the first few weeks, then fade.

The key (IMO) is keeping the content of Fried Dynamite exclusive to FD. Even if they are just going to show Billy & Mandy, Gym Partner, Camp Lazlo, Ben 10 and Foster's (CN's Big 5), they should only air first-run episodes of those shows which you can't-and won't see anywhere else or at any other time on CN, at least until they've been rerun a few times and then can enter the shows' regular rotations. There's no point in creating an all-new block just to show the same crud you can see any other time on a channel.
Lack of variety was what killed early Cartoon Network's blocks, like Boomerang (the show/block, not the channel). The idea behind that was a potentially good idea, pick a year, and air cartoons which were on the networks during that year for a little nostalgic treat), but the problem was most of the shows that aired on Boomerang were the same shows you could see any other time on Cartoon Network at the time. What was so special about airing Shazzan!, Josie and the Pussycats or The Jetsons on Boomerang when you could see Shazzan! every weekday afternoon on Super Adventures, Josie every weekday morning and on Friday nights on Toonapalooza, and The Jetsons at any other given time on the network?
The irony here is that if the Boomerang block aired on CN now, it would probably do well (theoretically, at least), because none of those shows currently air on the network. It would be greatly appreciated by folks who don't have the Boomerang channel.
Sorry. I drifted a bit, but hopefully you get my meaning.

I agree with you.
But I highly doubt that CN will do that. In fact, I think they will do the oppisite, I think they will air the first-run episodes at least 4 times over the course of the following weekend.
That's why I think FD will fail.

I believe Fried Dynamite'll do good because it'll be airing new episodes along with the premiere of new cartoons (Chowder, Zoot Rumpus). I doubt people will like it, but the new cartoons will help.

Here's what we know will be airing on Fried Dynamite so far:
Friday-
Out of Jimmy's Head
Class of 3000
Encores of Lazlo, Foster's, Gym Partner, and Squirrell Boy (the premieres will be Monday thru Thursday at 7 PM)
Movies (Chill Out Scooby-Doo and RL Stine's newest scare movie)
I suspect we'll also see Grim Adventures and Kids Next Door finish their runs on the Friday Fried Dynamite.
Saturday-
Poke'Mon Diamond & Pearl
Ben 10
Code Lyoko
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX
I suspect we'll see Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes as well since Blake said it will air on Fried Dynamite. Then again, he also said Teen Titans would air on it, and it's getting an hour on Toonami instead. I also suspect that if they decide to remove Storm Hawks from Toonami, this is where it would go.

I'll sit through the first airing of Chill Out Scooby-Doo(relucentely) and catch the new Gym Partner and Class of 3000 and speak my mind of it afterwords. Of course, I'm not expecting it to be great, but it's worth a shot.

Kind of odd that Class of 3000 will have a new episode at 10:30. CN shows almost never get a premiere that late outside of Toonami.

*Sigh* ready as I'll ever be. I agree with the majority of users on here. This will do well the first few weeks due to viewer evaluation. Then, just like Fridays before it, it will "fade to black". I'm sure CN should be hanging on the edge of their seats, because if this fails, it's back to the good 'ol drawing board. Oh, and Blake will be back to being a regular 'ol kid f-ing around in REAL life. I hope he doesn't become an executive in his adult life. He will SCREW whatever network he works at since he will LEARN from these dopes.
AND......ITS ON. LET THE GAMES BEGIN!
EDIT: It's a failure, Johnny! And the first human bit took all tha' energy from my system. Thanks a lot! Wow, and after only 2 and a half minutes!

I probably won't catch too much, seeing that I'm going to my grandfather's tonight. Oh well, this is pretty weak so far anyway. The opening burp is enough proof of that, and the last thing we need is another Scooby flick.

Seriously, another Scooby movie?! I'll tune in later to watch Gym Partner and Class of 3000.
