This is probably rated C for safety, but it's way closer to MH. If you're confused about the non-canon characters, refer to my other fanfic, Teen Titans: Revival.

It was fear unlike anything Espionage had ever known. He was running from General Gryphus through the corridor of some unknown building. His heart was pounding. He had no weapons. And now he saw that the adjacent room had no other exit; he was trapped. His eyes were wide as he saw that Gryphus had found him, cold malice in his eyes. The General slowly raised his enormous sword... then woke up and swore.
The Empire had been traveling out in space for weeks. They were trying to find a planet that looked fit for habitation in order to land their floating base. They had found some that were already conquered by aliens that looked like they had powerful weapons, but the perfect planet still evaded them. Gryphus was tired of this. Bluntly, he was just plain bored. He wanted revenge on Espionage, the Titans' ally that had evaded and defeated him, that had forced their entire operation to be launched into outer space. Then he got an idea. Since the base had been designed to handle space travel, it had escape pods and private shuttles for him and the Empress. Why didn't he realize it before? He could find out where Earth was in relation to their current position, he was certainly high enough in rank. After all, he was the greatest general the Empire had ever known. He headed off to the navigational room.

Meanwhile, back at Titans Tower, Espionage was sitting on the roof. It was early in the morning, and the sun was just rising. He, too, had had an idea. He already had the ability to see into the future; maybe he could produce other psychic abilities? He was currently concentrating on a pebble in front of him. The stone might have moved, but then again, it could be a trick of the sunrise. He finally managed to raise it up sideways, and a little bit into the air. It fell back down as Espionage leaned back, sighing. Now he knew what it took, and he would probably find it easier. As he found that same power again, he flicked the stone into the air with his willpower, and then turned it around and around. He smirked. This was easy once you'd done it. He tossed the pebble over the edge of the tower just as Raven came up. "What are you doing up here so early?" she asked him curiously. Usually, she was the first one up, and meditated on the roof. "Oh, nothing really," Espionage replied casually. Then a few pebbles zoomed from the island base of the Tower and juggled themselves in midair. Raven raised an eyebrow. "I see you've learned a new trick. I guess prophecy isn't your only power." She came to sit down next to him, preparing to meditate. But at that moment, the alarm sounded.
Raven and Espionage raced down to the living room, where the other Titans were just assembling. Robin, Beast Boy, Cyborg, Starfire, and Terra were all there. Robin rushed to the computer to see what the trouble was. There was some unknown disturbance. The most distressing part of that was that it was happening in a completely different place than their bustling city. It was in an out-of-the-way location, somewhere in what appeared to be, from the not-so-detailed screen, a temple. But then another alarm triggered. General Gryphus' personal shuttle was entering the atmosphere. "I got that one," Espionage said immediately, raising his hand. He jumped on the chance to face off against one of the elite members of the Empire. He pulled his laser weapon, now modified to make it smaller and more portable, from a sort of sheath at his waist, and walked out at once. "OK... Titans, move out!" Robin shouted, his grandeur a bit softened.

When the Teen Titans arrived at the temple, they saw a strange sight; a whole line of sinister-looking people and other things facing off against four kids wearing tunics. One of them, who looked Brazilian, was in different, more designed robes, and seemed to be the leader. Suddenly, a bag of mysterious artifacts got tossed into the middle of the group, and they all touched it at once. The bag started glowing, and a midget with a large, yellow, round head announced in an Asian accent, "It seems we have a free-for-all Xiaolin Showdown! Raimundo," he said, indicating the leader, "announce the challenge!" But another kid, with pale skin and wearing eye shadow, spoke up. "No way, cheeseball, I'm calling it. Um... there's not many options, are there? Whatever. It's a free-for-all brawl. Last to go down wins." As soon as he finished talking, the entire scene began to change. Towers with the same style as the temple sprung up from nowhere, supporting the Titans and an old, bald monk with what appeared to be a talking gecko on his shoulder. They deduced that it talked when the lizard pointed at them and said, "Hey! Who are you guys?" The Titans were utterly bewildered by this entire sequence of events, and just stared as all the assorted people and non-humans yelled out, "Gong Yi Tanpai!"

Nice, Xiaolin Showdown- Teen Titans crossover. This is interesting to say the least. How your going to integrate the characters from Xiaolin Showdown to your other story is beyond me, but i like the idea. This is a great twist to the start of your next story, and I can't wait for more. Till next chapter...

Um... did you look back at my other fanfic? It may be short, but I finished it. Next chapter!

Omi smiled. He loved a brawl. It was a chance to show off his skills. Of course, he had to remember that Raimundo was the leader now. And as the leader, he might have more skill than he did. Omi shook his head to rid it of these thoughts, then focused back on the showdown. Jack was the only one with a Wu (the Monkey Staff), so Dojo had to turn his eyes away from the oddly-dressed strangers to read out the rules. "In the event that one or more persons participating in a Xiaolin Showdown has no Shen-Gong-Wu to wager, then the entire showdown must be fought without the use of said Wu. Exceptions may be made in the case that one or more participants are made of Shen-Gong-Wu," he read, indicating Mala Mala Jong, who shouldn't have been there anyway. Then the showdown began. "So... who are you guys, anyway?" Dojo asked again. "We're the Teen Titans," Robin replied. Then he spotted Katnappe. "Hey, who's that?" Dojo looked a little taken aback. Why would this kid recognize her? "That's Katnappe. Crazy cat-obsessed girl. Why?" Robin frowned. He was sure she was... never mind. "No reason. Thought I recognized her from somewhere." Then he saw Clay fighting Panda Bubba. With his girth and black-and-white outfit, that villain has to be... not him. "So why'd you come here?" Dojo prompted Robin. "We were called here by our alarm. Is this the emergency?"
"Oh, no, this happens every other day," Dojo told him. "I guess you wasted a trip. But at least you got to see this." And at that moment, Clay tossed the Big Bang Meteorang at the Heylin Plant and decapitated it; the rest of the plant withered and died. Kimiko was throwing the Arrow Sparrow at Chameleo-Bot, who kept dodging. But one finally hit its leg and it stumbled, giving her enough time to throw more darts at it and set it completely on fire. Omi was locked in combat with Mala Mala Jong, carrying the Shimo Staff, which was now a battle-axe. He was swinging it at the Third-Arm Sash, which was twisting weirdly, and finally hacked it off of the ancient warrior. Then he cleaved the Fist of Tebigong from the torso as well. As a sword, the Shimo Staff then sliced the Shroud of Shadows off the Two-Ton-Tunic. The Staff then became a whip, which Omi latched to the Jetbootsu, then pulled. Jong tripped, and with tremendous effort, Omi yanked the Jetbootsu off Jong. Unable to support itself, it fell to the ground, then used the Eye of Dashi to fly up. Omi grabbed on, and the chain snapped, and Jong once again fell. Then Omi took off the Helmet of Jong and slipped the Two-Ton-Tunic off of the Heart. The Heart was now completely useless, and the Wu were zapped out of the field. Raimundo was tossing Le Mime over his shoulder, having easily got out of his traps, and proceeded to attack Cyclops. He used the Blade of the Nebula to cut Cyclops' wrist, then his leg when he lumbered over to grab Raimundo. Cyclops stumbled and fell, and Raimundo gave him a cut on the back. Then the Dragons moved on to other villains as the defeated ones were zapped out to spectator columns. Clay faced Tubbimura, Kimiko squared off with Katnappe, Omi faced Vlad, and Raimundo was up against Panda Bubba. Kimiko used the Arrow Sparrow to catch Katnappe by the ears and pin her to the wall, then hit her with Wudai Mars and have her beat. Clay threw the Big Bang Meteorang to strike Tubbimura in the forehead, then kicked him so that he became unbalanced and toppled over, unable to get up. Omi gave Vlad a hit to the jaw with a club-shaped Shimo Staff, then picked him up and tossed him. And Raimundo sent Panda Bubba flying with the Blade of the Nebula. The three best villains (and Jack) were now left to finally start fighting and deal with the monks. Jack screamed as Kimiko set him on fire, Omi doused him with water, knocking him to the ground, Clay tossed him up into the air with a spike of ground, and Raimundo thrust him across the room with his wind powers. Then Hannibal Roy Bean, Chase Young, and Wuya went on the offensive. Hannibal, realizing that he didn't have the Moby Morpher, continued to ride on the Ying-Ying Bird. However, Raimundo made it uncontrollable by screwing with the wind. Roy Bean fell to the floor, and Raimundo flicked him away. Wuya was holding her own with Kimiko and Clay easily, and Chase was fighting Omi with not that much enthusiasm. Omi miraculously landed a hit on Chase Young, but then got swatted across the room. Raimundo came to help him, and they managed to beat Chase. Then they both went to help out Kimiko and Clay, who were about to get beaten by Wuya. In fact, right as they arrived, Wuya was charging up an attack. But then Raimundo and Omi tackled her from behind. She fell, and the Xiaolin Dragons won the Showdown.

The terrain returned to normal, and Wuya and Chase yelled "Retreat!" The villains all fled, except Mala Mala Jong, who was in pieces, and the Heylin Plant, who had been decapitated. The Dragons then noticed the Titans, who were rather dazed from watching all this. "May I ask who you are?" Omi inquired. "We're the Teen Titans," Robin told him. "...Never heard of you," Raimundo said. "Well, we're not from anywhere near here," Robin explained. "We were called here by our alarm. It normally only alerts our city, though. And your master's lizard told us..." The Dragons stepped back as Dojo flared up, and as he flared up, he grew up. Soon he was his large size. "'I'm a DRAGON!" he roared, and Beast Boy considered him for a moment, having an idea. Then he turned into Dojo. "So am I," he said. Dojo looked surprised. "Wow, a shape-shifter. Haven't seen one of those in a while!" Robin interrupted. "So anyway, you told us that was nothing. So what caused our local alarm to bring us all the way out here?" Everyone thought, then Dojo, back to his travel size, started to spasm. He jerked about wildly, more violently than when a regular Shen-Gong-Wu appeared. "I think I know what's going on!" he announced, still thrashing. "It's the Expendable Egg! It's revealed itself!"

Espionage found the part of the city where General Gryphus' shuttle had landed not to be in general uproar. In fact, there didn't seem to be any sort of trouble at all. Maybe the General was biding his time, or planning. Ah, well. He decided to go back to where he used to live. It was a cozy house, perfect for him. He had left it in good shape, and it had certainly stayed that way. He wouldn't rent his house to anyone, but rather kept it for himself. He found his laptop, and decided to try and contact the Titans. Maybe they had news. He sighed, then closed it again, not wanting to interrupt if there was a battle going on. Besides, he had his communicator, and if they wanted to call him, they could. He then went on the Internet to find out what was on that spot the alert map had shown. He found an image of a nice temple, with four monks in the background. They were wearing red and black robes, and one of them had a yellow head.... And that one, he found on zooming in, was shooting water from what looked like a blue crystal ball. He looked up the ball, and found a page of mystical artifacts called Shen-Gong-Wu. Those were interesting. He saw every single one that had revealed itself, and now had this urge to refresh the page. When he did, he saw a new one. The Expendable Egg. It came with an image, despite apparently only being revealed today. Interesting... there must be some magical scroll or something showing the items, and dictating what to say about it. Or not. Espionage clicked on the egg. The page read: "A Shen-Gong-Wu previously known only to Grand Master Dashi and his faithful dragon Dojo. Part of the Quartet of Death. Has the power of a nuke packed into the size of a grenade. Whereabouts unknown." Espionage found this entire thing quite disturbing. He did an image search for the egg, and found a picture of what might have been it, held by a wild-eyed old sailor. His name was Ishmael Gracch. He found that he really wanted to call the Titans.

"So what is the Expendable Egg?" Robin was saying. This was basically the moment after it had revealed itself, and Dojo wouldn't stop twitching. "I can tell you," came a voice from Kimiko's laptop, "if you'll flip up the screen." Espionage had somehow hacked in. "Yeah, but I was just about to say it. And how do you know about the egg?" Dojo demanded. "This website," Espionage explained, bringing up the site. Dojo's mouth hung open. "B-b-but... h-how..."
"I don't know how they know, but look at the author!" Espionage urged. The user name Cyclops came up. "Cyclops is too dumb to know anything about the Internet," Raimundo pointed out. "But it's not anyone from your world at all," Espionage said frantically. "I mean, Robin, who do you know that has one eye?" And then it hit him. "Slade," Robin said with the usual contempt.

Later, the Xiaolin Dragons and the Teen Titans were gathered around, with Kimiko's laptop with them. Espionage was explaining the story of that guy Ishmael. "So he fished the egg out of the bottom of the ocean, and swore that it was the egg of some terrible sea monster, like the Kraken. He didn't want it falling into the wrong hands, though, so he set up an extremely tight security system in his house. It's fairly big, and the basement houses the egg. It's practically impossible for anyone to crack. I doubt I could do it without some kind of magical help. And that's why we need Wu." A plan of the security system flashed onto the screen. "He's set up random lasers. Only he knows the 37-digit code to deactivate them. And I learned that the Serpent's Tail won't stop infrared beams, strangely. So you'll need the Crystal Glasses to see where the lasers will be, and to go through them. There are also dozens of cameras, so you'll need the Shroud of Shadows to make sure you don't show up. Ishmael knows his stuff. He's got a retinal scanner and another code, 50 digits, to get into the room. But that can be solved with the Serpent's Tail. When you're in, there are motion detectors. To get the egg, you need to be solid, so the motion sensors will pick you up when you do. Unless you use the Shard of Lightning. And then there are weight sensors and heat sensors around the egg itself. Complicated for a sailor, but it's a really priceless artifact. So I've calculated the exact weight of the egg. It weighs just as much as the Heart of Jong. So you can put that on the pad and it won't know the difference. You won't need it. And for the heat sensors, you use the Orb of Tornami to freeze the sensors. Then you get out the same way you came. Simple." Everyone just stared at him for a minute. Then Robin said, "Makes sense. But who's going to do it?" Espionage smiled. "That is not my concern. Good luck!" And he vanished from the screen. "I shall accomplish this task!" Omi piped up. "Sure, but how are you going to carry all those Wu?" Raimundo pointed out. "We need someone that can hold them all."
"I can carry them on my belt," Robin offered. "Or we could use the Changing Chopsticks to make them easy to take with us," Kimiko pointed out. "Good idea," Raimundo said enthusiastically. "So we have a total of six Wu to take with us. So five of us can stay here, Omi can get the egg, and the other five of us can go as lookouts at the house. If there's trouble, then we'll have enough Wu for each of us to use one."
"Wait, that makes a total of eleven," Terra pointed out. "You're counting Espionage, and he's back at his place."
"Doesn't look like he has anything to do," Cyborg said. "So... does this make us Omi's Eleven?" Beast Boy chuckled. Everyone but Terra groaned.

Espionage turned off his laptop. Well, nothing to do but wait until.... Then the alarm went off. He grabbed his holster with his laser gun, still about the size of a rifle, and set off for wherever Gryphus was.

Up in space, the Empress was walking along the corridor to Gryphus' room. She had sighted a planet with a species that finally looked like they could beat. When she got to his room, however, she found it empty. It was the same with his study and war room. He was nowhere to be found. No, he couldn't have.... She raced to the hangar. Damn it, he did. His shuttle was missing, presumably either going to Earth or already there. But she just had to make sure. "Mechanic 653," she called, and immediately, a grime-covered soldier stood at attention, saluting. "When did General Gryphus leave the base with his private shuttle?"
"That would be... yesterday, I believe, ma'am," he replied. The Empress thought for a moment, then reached a decision. "Mechanic, ready my shuttle for blastoff. I'm going down to Earth."

Espionage had found out that Gryphus was attacking a random house; right across the street from his house. He raised his laser rifle. "Stop or I'll shoot!" he shouted. Gryphus turned around and smiled. "Ah, good, just the man I was hoping to see." He then took a quick stride towards him and chopped off the end of Espionage's rifle with his wicked sword. Espionage fired right after this, and it gave a weak splutter and a glob of energy shot out towards Gryphus. It still managed to push him back a few feet, giving Espionage enough time to take out the broken rifle end, which was attached to a sword blade, flip it around, and insert it back in the other way. He now had a sword of his own. He pulled the trigger, and the blade glowed green for a second. Then it flickered and stopped glowing. The energy source for that was in the hacked rifle end. "Crap," Espionage muttered as General Gryphus got to his feet and rushed towards him.
Espionage parried a few blows, then rushed into his house, locking the door. Gryphus hacked it to pieces with his sword, and found Espionage running into the living room. When he got there, he engaged in combat with the meddling Titan. They blocked each other's furious blows, then Espionage's sword was thrust from his hand. It landed in the fire, which gave him an idea. He grabbed a poker from the fire and started to duel with it. But the tip was bent by Gryphus' sword, and Espionage threw it towards his head. He dodged it, and chased Espionage into the kitchen. Thinking quickly, he went behind a table and levitated a large turkey leg. He telepathically tossed it towards Gryphus, who ducked, and it splattered against the wall. "Such a waste of good meat," Espionage lamented, then pulled a wooden spoon from its drawer. But the instant wood touched metal, it split in half. Espionage threw it aside and seized two knives. He managed to hold his own with them, and actually forced Gryphus slightly back. Then one of the knives was forced from his grip, flew towards the ceiling between the fighters, and fell back down at an angle. General Gryphus, his eyes fixed on the knife, hardly raised his sword. Both of them knew what was going to happen a millisecond before it happened. The knife sank into General Gryphus' chest, and he staggered.
He stared in disbelief as blood came from the wound. He fell over backwards, flat on the floor. Espionage rushed to help him. Gryphus wasn't jerking or thrashing like other people might have done. He was lying still, struggling to breathe. He looked straight into Espionage's eyes. "Take... this... to the... Empress," he gasped, pulling a letter from inside his pocket. Espionage took it, still staring at the General, unwilling to believe that there was nothing he could do. General Gryphus, the finally beaten warrior, the conniving strategist that was killed accidentally, took his sword and laid it across his chest. He became limp, and his eyes stared into Espionage's, blank and frozen.

Back at the Xiaolin Temple, Omi was gathering the Wu he'd need. (Seven, not six. Sorry, forgot the Heart.) The rest were deciding who would go and who would stay. "I'm going," Robin told Raimundo. "If Slade shows up, I want to give him what I didn't get a chance to last time."
"I'll stay here," Beast Boy offered. "I like Dojo. He's cool." Dojo slithered around the corner. "Well, you're the first," he complained.
"I shall remain to guard the temple from any attackers," Starfire said.
"I'm gonna hang here, if that's cool," Cyborg put in. "I need to find out about the Wu. I wanna know what they're made of."
"I'll be wherever Beast Boy's going," Terra informed the rest, leaning her head on Beast Boy's shoulder.
"I'll be a one-eyed cowboy on a five-legged bull if the temple's not attacked tonight," Clay reckoned, "so I'll stay here and lock up the barn."
"So the rest of us, Raven, Kimiko, and me, are going to go to Ishmael's place and stay out of sight. If there's an attack, we'll know about it and spring into action," Raimundo explained.
"I think you forgot to mention me," Espionage said, walking up to where the monks and Titans were. Raven saw that he was looking solemn. "What happened?" she asked worriedly.
"General Gryphus is dead," Espionage said flatly.
"He tried to kill us before," Robin snapped contemptuously. "He deserved to..."
"No, he didn't," Espionage interjected fiercely, pointing straight at Robin. "Not like that. He deserved to be shot down in a great battle. Not stabbed by a kitchen knife by me, accidentally." He almost couldn't believe what he was saying. He was standing up for the man that had tried to kill him twice. Well, he wouldn't get that chance again. He went on. "So I'll go to Ishmael's house too. That way we have even teams." This was going to be an interesting heist. With the threat of attack by Heylin warrior or evil villain from the Titans world everywhere you stepped, they would have to be ready.

Just as those who were departing for Ishmael's house were about to leave, Espionage pulled Dojo aside (not a hard feat.) "Dojo, I need you to remember, I'm taking some backup Wu with me. Just in case. Er... you may want to write 'em down." Dojo whipped out a pen and pad from nowhere.
"Hey, Espionage, pick up the pace," Raimundo called, seeing him in conversation with Dojo. "I agree," said Omi. "I memorized the laser patterns for only one certain time. And it is approaching!"
"All right, I've squared everything away," Espionage said. "Just making sure about some stuff. But I've got what I need in this sack." He patted a bag on his shoulder for emphasis. "All right, let's roll," Robin yelled. "I thought that we were walking," Omi said confusedly. Everyone sighed, and the six began their journey.
Later, Espionage opened up his sack with the others, hidden behind a clump of bushes on a hill outside the house. "I wish I knew how Omi was doing," Raimundo said to himself in frustration. "Here," Espionage said, pressing the Falcon's Eye into his hand. "Use this. I brought more." And he showed them what was in his sack. "The Mind Reader Conch, to hear how Omi's getting along," he said, handing it to Robin. "The Monsoon Sandals, Denshi Bunny, Fancy Feet, Cannon Blaster (with the Glove of Jisaku to get it back), and Longi Kite for quick getaway, (he handed each to the others, keeping the Denshi Bunny) and a few battle-oriented Wu." The battle Wu he had were the Sword of the Storm, the Tangle Web Comb, the Fist of Tebigong, the Eye of Dashi, and the Juju Flytrap. He took the Eye of Dashi, Raimundo took the Sword of the Storm, Kimiko chose the Tangle Web Comb, Raven picked the Juju Flytrap, and Robin was left with the Fist of Tebigong. "Jeez, did you leave any for the guys back at the temple?" Raimundo asked.
"Well, considering they have the Sapphire Dragon and Emperor Scorpion, plus the Mikado Arm, Two-Ton-Tunic, Kuzusu Atom, Lasso Boa-Boa, and a dozen others... I think they'll be all right," Espionage assured him.
"Hey," Kimiko called them, having swiped the Mind Reader Conch. "Omi's past the lasers, and going past the cameras." Raimundo checked the Falcon's Eye. "I don't see him," Raimundo told her. "Oh, that's weird, cause he's only using the Shroud of Shadows," Kimiko said sarcastically. "Point taken," Raimundo admitted, pocketing the Falcon's Eye. "All right, Omi!" Kimiko suddenly shouted. "He's in. Now he just has to freeze the heat sensors and use the Shard of Lightning to grab the Egg... and he's got it!" Upon hearing this, everyone scrambled down the hill, and got into Ishmael's house (apparently, he didn't lock his doors.) They congratulated Omi, then turned around to see Ishmael himself standing in the doorway. But his normally wild eyes were unseeing, and his mouth was hanging slightly open. His body fell to the ground as Slade released him. With Slade stood Wuya and Chase Young. Somehow, they had gotten their hands on some Wu. Wuya held the Reversing Mirror, Chase Young had the Thorn of Thunderbolt, and Slade was holding the Shadow of Fear. "Give us the egg," Slade demanded. "Never!" the Titans and monks screamed simultaneously.
"Eye of Dashi!" Espionage yelled, but Wuya sent it back at him with the Reversing Mirror. Then Chase Young used the Thorn of Thunderbolt to blast Omi into the wall. Slade used the Shadow of Fear to make a giant squirrel appear in front of Omi. He screamed and threw the Expendable Egg up in the air, where it was caught by Chase, Slade, Wuya, Espionage, and Raimundo at the same time. "I challenge you to a Heylin Showdown!" Espionage announced. "We acce- wait, what?" Chase asked, confused. "There's no such thing as a Heylin Showdown," Slade scoffed. "Exactly," Espionage said confusingly, raising his eyebrows. "You see, Xiaolin Showdowns are always played, and I believe that there should be another side to the Showdowns. So I'm improvising. In a Heylin Showdown, the only rule is, first team to give up loses. The teams can be uneven, you can have as many or as few Shen-Gong-Wu as please, and," he said, gesturing toward the others, "you can call in spectators to help. Agreed?" Wuya and Chase looked at each other. Slade looked at both of them. Raimundo looked uncomfortable and shot Espionage a dirty look. "Agreed," the villains told him at the same time. "All right, let's go! Heylin Showdown!" everyone shouted.
The inside of Ishmael's old home became a pirate-themed battlefield. The terrain was uneven; the villains were standing on a rowboat in the middle of a lake with crocodiles, and Espionage and Raimundo were safely on an island. "What? This isn't fair," Chase Young complained. "That's the point," Espionage pointed out. However, the villains had soon defeated the crocodiles and were floating on the Reversing Mirror over to the island. Espionage got out his newly-repaired gun and fitted the Eye of Dashi onto the end. "You can't have a weapon like that in a Showdown," Wuya argued. "Ah, but this isn't a Xiaolin Showdown. In a Heylin Showdown, anything goes," Espionage explained. "All right, everyone, come on down!" Then Robin, Raven, Kimiko, and Omi were teleported down to the island to fight with their Shen-Gong-Wu. Espionage yelled out "Eye of Dashi!" at the exact same moment that he fired his gun, and a humongous blast of electricity and green energy shot out of the end and knocked Chase Young into the water. Wuya and Slade beached the Reversing Mirror, but as they stood up, Raven made the Mirror slip out from under them, and they fell headfirst into the lake as well. The three villains emerged back onto the island, soaked and mad as hornets. "Shadow of Fear!" Slade bellowed furiously. "Reversing Mirror!" Raven countered, thinking quickly. Wondering for a second what it would do, the good guys stood back to watch.
And now something was revealing itself to Slade; the monstrous figure of Trigon. He seized Slade and lifted him up to eye level. Slade felt the flesh leave his body; it was being stripped off the bones themselves. His eye was wide with pure terror.
Before Chase Young appeared the form of Master Monk Guan. He spoke sadly to Chase. "My old friend, why did you turn to the Heylin side?"
"Because you were about to usurp me," Chase spat.
"No, I would not have. I was, to some degree, jealous of your higher status, but I would never have tried to overthrow you. I respected you. And you betrayed us. Dashi and I."
"But Hannibal Roy Bean..."
"Is a liar and a master of trickery. I would have fought Grand Master Dashi a hundred times if it meant being with you again."
"But you did not."
"Because you were not yourself. You had become a Heylin dragon; fierce, conniving, and cruel. That was not the Chase Young I knew."
"Then... did I go over to the Heylin side for naught? Did I throw away my entire life just for a trick of Hannibal Bean? ...No! This is only an illusion created by the Shadow of Fear!" With that, he punched Master Monk Guan in the stomach, and the copy landed in a heap.
Wuya saw a pebble on the ground. "What is this?" she asked. "I am not afraid of a mere pebble." But then the pebble rose, spun in the air until it became a blur, grew, became more square... and it stopped, having transformed into the puzzle box that had ensared her multiple times. However, she looked at it with revulsion instead of fear. Then the illusory figure of Chase Young appeared and grabbed the box. Then he opened it. Wuya shrieked as she was yet again sucked inside a box, but was thrust out immediately. She was now a ghost once more. She screamed in fury, her voice changed by the transformation.
Chase was fighting the fake Master Monk Guan with a kind of manic intensity. He actually managed to defeat Guan. The fake gave him a look of devastating sadness, then disappeared. Slade was thrown upon the ground, without his flesh. He was twitching, not getting up. Chase Young looked at the group of good guys, ready at a moment's notice to fight. Chase considered, seeing the helpless Slade and the useless Wuya. "All right," he told the monks, lifting his hands above his head. "We give up."

The island scene transformed back into Ishmael's house. Slade got up shakily, both his and Wuya's flesh restored. Espionage was tossing the egg gently, with a look of triumph on his face. Then Raven smacked him in the back of the head. "Knock it off," she told him. "You didn't even do anything." Leaving the villains to lament their lot, the heroes walked back towards the temple.

So how did the heroes fare back at the temple? How did the villains get Wu? Why isn't anyone responding? (Don't ask me)

Earlier, back at the temple, everyone was ready at a moment's notice to fight. Then, Brother Blood showed up. The heroes were so busy guarding the vault that they didn't care to guard the actual temple. Master Fung might be in danger! So they rushed to fight Blood. He hardly put up a fight. He just tried to keep them at bay for a while, then folded under Starfire, Cyborg, Terra, Beast Boy, and Clay (but mostly Cyborg). When they released him, he took to his heels and escaped. Everyone felt pretty good about themselves. Then Master Monk Guan arrived. "Where are Raimundo, Kimiko, and Omi?" was the first thing he asked. "And who are you?" he asked secondly, addressing the Titans. "We're most of the Teen Titans," Beast Boy answered. "Are you Master Monk Guan?"
"Yes, I am," he answered proudly. "I came here when I heard that you had been attacked. But if it was just a diversion, I will check the Shen-Gong-Wu vault. Stay here and guard the temple from further attack." No one found these directions surprising, so they followed them. Guan rushed to the vault and opened it, then sped down the stairs. A few minutes later, the heroes heard him say "Tunnel Armadillo!", a crash, and maniacal laughter.

Master Monk Guan returned to the villains later, where Wuya, Chase Young, and Slade were waiting to go. He threw the sack of Shen-Gong-Wu on the table. He had stolen all that there was, except the Lasso Boa-Boa, which Clay had had with him, and the ones that Espionage had already taken. "All right, now they're probably going to challenge us to a Xiaolin Showdown somewhere along the line, so just take one Shen-Gong-Wu," Wuya explained, pulling out the Reversing Mirror. Chase Young picked the Thorn of Thunderbolt, and Slade's eye was caught by the Shadow of Fear. Then Master Monk Guan cried out, "Moby Morpher!" and transformed back into Hannibal Roy Bean. The four laughed evilly, with intensity that would make Jack Spicer jealous.

"So that's what happened?" Raimundo was asking Clay in the present. "MASTER MONK GUAN took your Wu?!" Clay shrugged. "Seems like it," he responded simply. "No, this cannot be!" Omi cried, with his hands clapped to the sides of his head. "Master Monk Guan would never steal the Shen-Gong-Wu! He is on the side of good!" Espionage thought. "Is there anyone that would have been able to get into the Shen-Gong-Wu vault while you were fighting Brother Blood?" Raimundo shook his head. "No one but Master Fung and Master Monk Guan have access. You'd have to be as small as a grain of rice to get in there, and Omi had the Changing Chopsticks." Espionage kept thinking. "How about a fishhook? Could that get down there and grab a Wu?" Raimundo shook his head again. "No, it couldn't open the drawers." Espionage exhaled. "I got nothing," he admitted. It should have been obvious, but then again, they've fallen for worse.

That night, the Titans were again invited to stay with the monks at the temple. The Dragons might have been able to handle their own villains, but superpowered villains like in the Titans' world was too intense. "So how'd your research go?" Espionage asked Cyborg. "Well, the only thing I found out from the scroll didn't have to do with the Wu at all. It's a fifth Xiaolin Dragon. The Dragon of Lightning. Whoever they are, they're apparently going to make themselves known soon. I told Master Fung. He was real interested." Then, Dojo slithered around the corner. "Hey E, can I talk to you?" he asked. "Uh, sure," Espionage answered, a little stunned. They went into a different part of the temple. "So you brought enough Shen-Gong-Wu for each person to have two, and two people to have three. So who had the Eye of Dashi?"
"I did."
"And the Denshi Bunny?"
"Um, me again."
"OK, that's it. Thanks."

Espionage went back to the sleeping quarters, rather confused. Again, he didn't catch the obvious. He passed Starfire and Robin together, and then did a double take. They were making out. Well, they were in love, Espionage reminded himself. Then he noticed a ring on the floor. He picked it up. Ah, it was his lucky day! He'd found the Ring of the Nine Dragons, for some reason on the floor. Then he got a bizarre idea. He rushed to find Raven.

She was in one of the guest rooms. She had went back to the Tower temporarily to get her mirror that was a portal into her mind. Espionage was about to walk in on her activating the portal and get sucked in himself, when he cleared his throat. Raven turned her head to see him standing there. "Oh, Espionage, it's you," she said, turning a little red and putting down her mirror. "I just got this strange idea," he told her. "Do you have the Reversing Mirror?" Raven looked confused. "Well, yeah," she said, pulling it out. "But why do you want it?"
"I just found the Ring of the Nine Dragons," Espionage said. "You're not going to try and make yourself half a person, are you?" Raven said worriedly. "No," Espionage assured her. "But I'd like to try something with your portal. She picked it back up, and he held the Reversing Mirror opposite it at an angle. "Reversing Mirror!" he said clearly. The portal glowed, and suddenly a burst of light shot out and bounced off the Reversing Mirror. At the end of it came a spiraling red portal. But instead of sucking people in, it spit people back out; several different Raven emoti-clones. There was a pink Happy, a gray Timid, a green Brave, an orange Rude, a yellow Knowledge, a purple Love, a brown Fear, a black Despair, a tan Discipline, and a red Rage.

"Oh, great," groaned Raven.
"All right, now I want to test something," Espionage said. "Could you use the Ring of the Nine Dragons, please?" Raven used it, and she split into two Ravens. So did the emoti-clones. "Can I go back to one now?" Ravens asked. "Yeah, just wanted to see what would happen," Espionage said. Then the number of Ravens halved. Rage growled, and phased through the Tower before anyone could stop her. Love and Happy sidled up to Espionage and giggled; Despair was slumped over in a corner, not doing anything; Discipline was trying to talk some sense into Rude in a military voice; Fear and Timid were hiding in another corner; Brave was practicing fighting moves, and Knowledge was looking over at the real Raven. She buried her face in her hands, not from not wanting her clones out in the real world, but from exhaustion. Then she suddenly collapsed onto the floor.
Espionage brushed off Love and Happy, and rushed over to the real Raven, whose cloak had turned completely white. "Raven? Raven?! Raven!" he shouted, taking her shoulders and shaking her. "You!" he cried, pointing at Knowledge. "Do you know what might have happened?"
"Well," Knowledge began, "with the loss of her emotions, Raven probably began to experience significant imbalances in the mind, which might have resulted in..."
"Oh, in English, Knowledge, enough with the jargon," Espionage snapped.
"Her brain's shutting down. She might die."

Espionage wasn't believing what he was hearing. "I'm supposing rescue techniques won't work?" he hazarded. "No," Knowledge replied. "The only way to save her is to gather us all in her portal. I suppose I should stay until everyone else is back. Except Rage, of course, who you'll have to hunt down." Espionage stared at the assorted Ravens. "Well? I'm sorry to force you back in after a short time, but her life depends on you." Discipline stepped forward. "It'll be a small sacrifice for the good of the whole." And she saluted Espionage and went back through the portal. Happy and Love weren't easily convinced. "But we want to get to know you personally. I mean, you are our boyfriend." Espionage tugged at his collar a little, then got an idea. "Look, if you get in there, I'll..." He whispered into their ears. They squealed with glee and each used the mirror. Then he turned to Despair. "Come on. Which would you seriously rather be in? A gloomy world of dark, evil, and bone-chilling cold? Or out here, with sunshine, fresh air, and global warming?" Despair practically dove for the mirror. "Fear, Timid," Espionage said kindly to the ladies hiding in the corner. "It's safer in there. Out here there are evil people doing evil things. And things that could destroy the world." Fear and Timid welled up with tears, and grabbed the mirror. Unfortunately, the talk of evil needing to be conquered had excited Brave, who was punching and kicking the air wildly. "Brave!" Espionage shouted, and got her attention. "So who do you think is going to handle Rage? This evil is tame compared to the power of Trigon. If she gets out of hand, even Discipline can't stop her. You've gotta do it. Got it?" Brave considered. "Ah, what the heck. I'll just do it to help out Raven." She gestured to the real Raven. Her cloak had gained some faint color. Then Espionage whirled around to face Rude. "What? I'm not going in there," Rude said, well, rudely. "Oh, you think that Raven can just get her sarcasm from anyone else? You're the master of sarcasm. Well, that and being a total jerk. But anyway, Raven can't survive without your amazing sarcastic powers." Rude laughed coarsely. "You've got me. I'll go back." And amazingly, she picked up the mirror and went in. Knowledge pushed up her glasses. "I suppose I shall reenter the mind now," she said, and exited the dimension. Now all that was left was Rage. But Raven was stirring with a turquoise cloak. As she gained strength, she rounded on Espionage. "You idiot!" she chastised him. "You didn't know what that would do. You just brought my emotions out of my mind!" Espionage chuckled. "Looks like you don't really need Rage." Raven frowned. "You didn't bring back Rage? The most dangerous of my emotions?!" She was getting hysterical. All this without the emotion she was ranting about. "I was just about to do that," Espionage assured her. And he left the room.

He had an idea of where Rage would be; in the Titans' city. So as he left the temple building, he passed the Shen-Gong-Wu vault. And then it hit him; Hannibal Bean was behind the Wu heist. He was small enough to pass through and steal the Moby Morpher. Then he jumped out, doubled back, transformed into Master Monk Guan, and orchestrated the rest of the theft so that the monks would believe that Guan did it. Of course, you knew all this already. Then Espionage got Dojo to open the vault so that he could grab the Denshi Bunny. He ran back out of the vault, used it, and sped as electricity to the city.

When he got there, he saw a shuttle landing. He gasped as the cockpit opened and the Empress got out. He automatically reached inside his coat to get the letter Gryphus had given him. "Espionage," the Empress growled. "Empress," Espionage replied soberly. "Here." And he thrust the letter into her hands. "Gryphus used you as a delivery boy? But he wouldn't have unless... unless..." She ripped open the envelope and found the letter within. It read:
"Dear Amelia,
By the time you read this, I will be dead. You have likely received this from Espionage, who will have with certainty witnessed my death. Question him as to if he had anything to do with my demise. If he replies in the affirmative, he shall feel greatly and should not be killed. If he denies it, kill him. At least give me that posthumous comfort.
You have always been my closest companion. Whether we were taking over the world or... well, we really haven't done anything else, have we? Anyway, I would like it very much if you would complete our life's dream; conquering the galaxy. Since we seem to have expanded our Empire to space, perhaps other planets aren't that far off from our grasp.
My last will and testament can be found in my personal shuttle, which can be found in Espionage's neighborhood. Please retrieve it and respect it. I, if I had lived longer than you, would have happily followed your last orders. Just saying.
My dearest Amelia, I am so sorry that you have to bear the grief of my death. Be strong. Conquer the world.
Your greatest friend,
General C. Gryphus."
The Empress broke down into sobs. She was overcome with sadness, and hit with the full force of Gryphus' words. Once her throat had deflated somewhat, she choked to Espionage, "Did you... have anything... to do with... his death?" Espionage hung his head. "Yes," he responded. "I was wielding a kitchen knife, being out of weapons. It was thrust from my hand and sunk into his heart. I feel strongly for him, despite him attempting to kill me." The Empress nodded. "I believe a proper funeral is in order," she gasped. "I would be honored if the Teen Titans would attend. Even our mortal enemy Raven." Espionage nodded, and continued his search for Rage.

On the way, he ran into someone he knew, but that was totally random and unknown. "Charlie? Is that you?" the guy asked. Espionage turned. "Slicer!" he cried. "Man, long time no see," Slicer told him. "So Charlie, what've you been up to?"
"Oh, just heroism," Espionage said casually. "I actually go by Espionage now, it's a name I took up. So how's school going for you?" Slicer grinned. "Got accepted into UT." Espionage let out a bark of laughter. "All right, Slicer! Great, man! Well, it was great seeing you, but right now, one of my girlfriend's emotions is terrorizing the city, so I kind of need to go. Guess I'll see you round."

After that random meeting, he found Rage about to slam a truck into the side of an office building. Immediately, he whipped out his trusty laser gun and fired. Rage was encased in a bubble, and the truck dropped with a crash onto the pavement. The guy that owned it wept. Espionage slowly approached the thrashing Rage. Then, foolishly, when he was close enough, he released the bubble. Rage immediately kicked upwards, snapping the end off the gun. "Why did I build this thing out of aluminum?" Espionage wondered. Then Rage sent the same truck flying towards him. "Oh, sh-" Espionage began, before getting slammed. Fortunately, he was knocked to the ground and the truck continued to fly past him. He got up a few seconds later, clutching the back of his head. Rage zoomed towards him and grabbed him by the collar. Espionage, not the best person for timing, fished a handkerchief out of his pocket with some tape and stuck it to his head. Then both his hands were free. As it turned out, he didn't use them. Because just as Rage was about to do something extremely painful to him, he lashed out with a two-legged kick to the chest. Rage let go and fell back. Espionage's thoughts were racing. Strange ideas won the race. Espionage seized Rage, imagined a palette swap, and kissed her. As he released, Rage did the unthinkable; she smiled. Then she fell to the ground with both hands pressed to her head, overcome by a terrible logical conundrum. Espionage put her over his shoulder and used the Denshi Bunny to return to the temple.

At Chase Young's lair, Chase paced up and down one of the many floors, pondering his lot. "Did I do the right thing? 1500 years I've thought nothing of it, and now I have no idea if what I did was the right decision. Gaah! Hannibal Bean is to blame for all of this! If he hadn't been around, I'd be in the fight against evil, not for it." Slade, who was visiting, came around the corner. "Something troubling you?" he asked. "I heard rants to yourself." Chase sighed. "It's nothing, just a personal issue." Slade stepped further into the room. "Well, you aren't the sort of person that has self-doubts. Perhaps I can help. Hey boys! Get in here! We've got a chance for a musical number!" Chase Young whirled around. "What?" he demanded frantically. Too late. Brother Blood, Panda Bubba, Jack Spicer, and Monsieur Mallah sidled in. Slade laughed. "All right, boys, it's time." And Slade pulled up a chair from nowhere for Chase to sit in. And they began to sing.

(This is a parody of Gaston from Beauty and the Beast. If you haven't seen it, you won't get this or put a tune to it. Go here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaBnWZignkQ&mode=related&search=) to see what the song looked like in the movie, or here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxPMp0-8ieA) to hear it again, with inexplicable added song, and where I got the crazy idea :D.)

Gosh, it disturbs me to see you, Chase Young,
Looking so down in the dumps.
Jack Spicer here'd love to be you, Chase Young,
Even though he's just a chump.

There's none in the world that's as devious as you,
You're the best villain for the good guys.
People know that there's no evil genius like you,
And it's not very hard to see why...

No... one's...
Great as Chase Young,
Formulates like Chase Young,
And to Dashi, nobody betrays like Chase Young,
For there's no one in town half as evil,
Treating all others like dung,
You can ask any hero that's feeble,
And they'll tell you that
It's been through luck that they've won!

No... one's...
Bad as Chase Young,
Raving mad like Chase Young,
And in battle, it's rare to beat Dragon Chase Young!
Yes, my reptile form's good at instigating,
Fear into those not Chase Young!

Cyclops and Vlad,
Katnappe too,
And even Roy Bean
They all wish they were you!

No... one...
Plots like Chase Young
Steals dots like Chase Young,
And ol' Wuya has only the hots for Chase Young!
For you're perfect for her 'cause your power,
Surpasses the rest that are there,
Disposition-wise, you're always dour,
And just take a look at that curtain of hair!

No one uses Chase Young
Or confuses Chase Young
In fact, when someone tries, he amuses Chase Young,
Yes, I'm normally calm, cool, and calculating,
I'd like to team with Chase Young!

Well, a long time ago, I drank Lao Mang Lon Soup
And I turned to the Heylin at once.
15 centuries later, I still drink the soup,
And I've never thought myself a dunce!

No one loots like Chase Young
The Jetbootsu, Chase Young,
No one uses as well Shen-Gong-Wu as Chase Young
Though they're all so cliche'd, it's infuriating!
Oh, what a guy...
Chase Young!!!

The Empress stared at the letter Espionage had given her as she walked through the streets towards Gryphus' shuttle. She noticed that it was strangely out of character for Gryphus. And the writing was shaky in places. Then she reminded herself that he was writing a very sentimental letter about his death. But in the most tear-jerking parts, the writing was stable. It was very suspicious. The Empress got a crazy idea. She reached for the communications link that was on a frequency shared by only one other communicator; that of General Gryphus. She flipped it open and said very clearly, "Hello?"

Robin paced up and down the corridor of the temple. Was he seriously going to ask Espionage to help him with his personal life? Well, yes. As Espionage passed with the unconscious Rage slung over his shoulder, Robin spoke up. "Hey Espionage, I was just wondering..." but Espionage cut across. "Can it wait a couple minutes? I've kind of got to force Rage back inside Raven's mind before she wakes up."
"I guess," Robin responded. Espionage walked on, and Robin sighed. He still had no idea what to do.

Dojo popped in beside Espionage while he was still walking. "Hey E, I've got something I need to tell you..."
"Okay, I need like five minutes, and then I can talk. But right now..." He shrugged apologetically and went on. Dojo slapped his forehead. This guy was harder to talk to than he expected.

Espionage finally got to where Raven was. "I've got Rage," he announced. Raven looked quizzically at him. "What did you do to her?" she asked. Espionage explained while putting Rage back into the mirror. Raven's cloak turned back to its usual dark blue, and then she turned on Espionage. "You could have caused a paradox that could have destroyed the entire universe!" she shrieked. "And you let another of your guns get cracked? Build them out of something stronger, like titanium!" Espionage shrank down in his coat. "Look, now you're back to normal, everything's fine, and I definitely ought to build them out of something stronger," he said in his defense. "And I should have said this before you got Rage back, but I kind of told Love and Happy, to get them back, that I would..." He mumbled the rest, but Raven could hear it. She clapped her hands to her mouth, and looked like she was about to slap him. But she calmed down soon. "Look, don't you think we're rushing this relationship?" she asked with concern. "I mean, I really like you, but we've got to slow down." Espionage nodded. "You know what, you're absolutely right. We are rushing things. And I never told Love and Happy when I would. So... yeah. We just need to take it easy. And now, Dojo and Robin both want to talk to me." And, giving Raven a little squeeze, he exited the room.

He ran into Robin first. "So you wanted to ask me something?" Espionage prompted. "Yeah... look, you seem to be really confident with your relationships, and I..." Espionage sighed. "You want to say something to Starfire, but you don't know how to tell her, so you're coming to me because I seem... smooth?" Robin exhaled. "Well, yes," he admitted. "All right, well, I have no idea myself, but I'll take a crack at it," Espionage said. "I'd be willing to bet that if I was in your shoes, I would just take a shot and go for it. It may seem reckless, but it's better than beating around the bush or just chickening out. No offense," he added. Robin frowned. He was being dissed by one of his team members. And he was the leader. But maybe Espionage was just being honest. "All right," he said with a little more confidence. "I'll try that. Thanks." Espionage smiled as Robin went on his way. Now to find Dojo.

Dojo was waiting where he had been. "So what was it you wanted to tell me?" Espionage inquired. "Come with me," Dojo said ambiguously. He led him to an important-looking room. Master Fung was there, as were the Xiaolin Dragon. "Espionage," Master Fung started, "you have revealed yourself to be the true fifth Xiaolin Dragon - the Dragon of Lightning." Espionage's mouth fell open.
"No... me?" he said confusedly.
"It is true," Omi piped up. "The fifth Dragon was to reveal himself when he was least expected. And we little expected you to come once we had all the Shen-Gong-Wu!"
"Plus, you always use electric-based Wu," Raimundo explained. "It just makes sense."
"Congratulations, Espionage," Master Fung said grandly. "You are now a Xiaolin Monk. You even now should feel electricity crackling within you. Your power is already beginning to show. Now, come with us, and we shall begin your training."

They went outside, to an area with not much in it. "Your power is Thunder Thrust - Lightning," Master Fung told him. "All right, I can handle that," Espionage replied. He aimed himself straight up and cried, "Thunder Thrust - Lightning!" Immediately, he shot into the air, a yellow electric trail behind him. He came back down like he was dive-bombing. He burst out laughing afterwards. "That was awesome!" he exclaimed. "I have asked all the monks," Master Fung said, "and they have agreed that you are skilled enough to become a Xiaolin Apprentice, once you have gotten used to your element."
"I believe I can do that," Espionage replied. He began to practice using his electrical powers at once, while the others supervised. "He really is a natural," Dojo admitted. Soon, Espionage was displaying feats of martial arts typical of a monk. And he had gotten the hang of his new lightning powers. As he touched down again, Master Fung gave him a blue sash. "Your power is indeed high enough for you to achieve the rank of Apprentice. Congratulations once more." And they all went back inside.

Chase Young was no longer having moral issues, after an entire song extolling him. So now he was eager to hatch another plan to get rid of the Xiaolin Monks and Teen Titans. He was in conversation with his fellows; Wuya, Slade, Hannibal Bean, and new addition Madame Rouge. Slade had already put in his two cents with a plot to stop Raven and Espionage. He needed the Changing Chopsticks, but thought he could make do with the Manchurian Musca. And right then, Wuya flared up. Not that there was anything wrong with the plan, but that the second in the Quartet of Destruction had revealed itself, and getting to it first was high priority.

Dojo had also noticed it, and vomited into a bucket. "The Nuts and Bolts," he gasped, wiping his mouth. "It's another of those Destruction Shen-Gong-Wu. It's a handful of screws that brings about huge weather problems, incalculable ones, except in a certain kind of bubble around the user, and can only be stopped by the user of the Wu in the first place. So if the villains get their hands on it, we're, well, screwed."
"So we're supposed to get there first, grab the Nuts and Bolts, and somehow guard it indefinitely with a handful of Wu?" Espionage asked incredulously.
"Yeah, pretty much," Raimundo replied. "It happens all the time. Once, we only had the Mantis Flip Coin." Espionage cocked an eyebrow. "Well then, let's go."

Both teams arrived at mostly the same time. The Titans and monks were all flying in various ways, and the villains had gotten there just moments before some other way. They had arrived at a construction site. But this one looked abandoned, so it was an excellent battleground for now. There were two colossal boxes - each big enough for Dojo to fit in fully sized and still have a little elbow room - completely full of screws. Everyone's jaw fell open. Except Chase Young and Espionage, who were contemplating. The rest all dove into the boxes and searched, while Chase leaped the tall building in a single bound. Espionage looked inside a crane and saw a lunch box, a yellowed form about windows, and the regular controls. He looked inside the lunch box and saw a sandwich that was lost beneath layers of multicolored mold. He then paused to lean outside the crane and throw up. Espionage quickly shut the box and checked the glove compartment. And there was... a few scraps of paper that used to be a map.
Chase Young was checking every steel girder for the Nuts and Bolts. He had found nothing, so he deftly jumped back down. No one else had had much luck inside the humongous boxes, either. Then Chase and Espionage both saw it; the lump of screws dangling from the end of a crane. They went for it at the same time. Robin grappled up as soon as he saw what was going on. Slade flipped several times in the air on his way there. And all four of them reached the Wu at the same time. But there was also a fifth hand touching the Nuts and Bolts; Jack Spicer had come at the last second. "I challenge you all to a five-way Xiaolin Showdown!" Espionage announced. "The game is Construction Derby. First to reach the Wu wins," Jack Spicer said.

Steel pillars erupted out of the ground to support the spectators. Construction equipment appeared to present obstacles for five identical courses that all led to the same thing; the Nuts and Bolts. There were swinging cranes you had to grab hold of, bulldozers, mashers you had to get through, pendulums of steel girders, and drills that slammed into the ground and twisted every so often, crushing and drilling into whoever was unlucky enough to be underneath them. Each competitor had a Shen-Gong-Wu; Jack had the Monkey Staff, Chase Young had the Kuzusu Atom, Slade had the Ruby of Ramses, Espionage had the Thorn of Thunderbolt, and Robin had the Cannon Blaster. "Gong Yi Tanpai!" everyone yelled, and the Showdown went underway.

Jack used the Monkey Staff to swing by his tail and hands out of the way of obstacles, but Chase Young was simply vaporizing them with the Kuzusu Atom. Slade was lifting the obstacles with the Ruby of Ramses and flinging them at Espionage, but he had used Thunder Thrust and the Thorn of Thunderbolt to blast a clear path through which he could go at lightning speed. Robin was using the Cannon Blaster to propel himself through the course, and faring just as well. It looked like the Heylin side was about to lose again. And Robin and Espionage did reach the Nuts and Bolts first; at the exact same time as Slade, who had flung himself far with the Ruby of Ramses to reach the goal, and Chase Young, who was just that cool. They grabbed the Wu to finish the race, but did it at precisely the same moment. Then Jack Spicer was zapped into the stands, and a second round began. This time, it was a stadium, and the construction equipment presented itself as cover and terrain. Everyone looked extremely confused, and looked to Dojo. He sighed and got out the rulebook. "In the event that a Xiaolin Showdown is won by more than one person, and that the winners cannot decide who the Wu should go to, another Showdown will automatically go underway," Dojo explained. The four competitors shrugged. "Gong Yi Tanpai... again," they shouted, a little deflated. And the second round began.

This time, Chase knew he had the advantage. Not only was he the most powerful one there, but he had the Kuzusu Atom, which was unmatched in its usefulness in combat. True, Espionage had new electric powers, but he was practically useless without his laser gun. Then he got a painful shock in the middle of his back, and was instantly brought out of his thoughts. Espionage had used his lightning powers and the Thorn of Thunderbolt quite well. Now that Chase Young was alert, however, he might be in trouble. He dove behind a bulldozer as Chase shot a beam of vaporizing death out from his Wu. Robin used the Cannon Blaster to shoot himself directly at Slade, who was knocked into an unfinished building. Then he used the Ruby of Ramses to catch the falling steel and throw it at Robin. Robin got out of the way, then saw one of the beams coming right at his face. Another was coming towards his back. He threw himself flat on the ground, and they sailed on, but five other steel beams were coming down where he was, and his only option was to get into the Cannon Blaster, shoot himself across the field, and watch the Wu get hit by the metal. But hold on, the Cannon Blaster was holding, and the girders were ricocheting off. And one of them hit Slade squarely in the stomach and he hit one of the cranes. Slade then crumpled, and was transported out of the field. Robin ran to help Espionage, who had had to go hide behind three different construction vehicles to avoid the Kuzusu Atom. None of his other thunder blasts had hit Chase Young, and he was getting frantic. But then a Birdarang hit Chase in the back of the head, and his head bent forward. Chase Young wheeled around and fired a blast at Robin, giving Espionage time to aim and fire a thunderbolt directly at Chase Young. It hit him, and this time, Chase fell onto the floor. An electric punch, and he was teleported out. Then Espionage looked at Robin, and they declared a draw. The second of the Quartet of Destruction belonged to the Xiaolin.

The villains were in a towering rage. "I hope that plan of yours didn't involve the Kuzusu Atom or the Ruby of Ramses," Chase Young snapped at Slade. "It didn't, but they are very powerful Wu," Slade replied, very ticked. "It'll probably kill both Raven and Espionage, but if it doesn't, my plan will at least give you ample time to ambush the rest and take the Shen-Gong-Wu." Chase nodded. He seemed to be calming down a bit. "Yes, I suppose. But if we get caught by either of them, I'm blaming you."

Jack Spicer, dejected, flew through town, having no Shen-Gong-Wu. Then he remembered something, and turned around, calling a squad of Jack-Bots.
He got to his destination (Texas) and found a rainbow trail. He followed it a while, and found Jesse, Clay's younger sister, riding a motorcycle with the Wings of Tinabi. "Jack Bots, attack!" Spicer yelled, and his robots immediately blasted the motorcycle. It fell out of the sky, and Jack zoomed down to get the Wings of Tinabi. Jesse lassoed onto Jack and pulled him down with her. They both screamed, but hit the ground less harshly than normal because of Jack's Heli-Bot. "Give me the Wings of Tinabi," Jack whined. "I'm the king of the Black Vipers."
Jesse snorted. "You ain't king, and I ain't givin you nuttin." She then kicked Jack in the behind, and he was propelled over the horizon. "Shows that no-good snake Spicer what-fer," Jesse grumbled. Then she noticed something. Jack had planned to be kicked out... because he had the Wings of Tinabi.

The Empress was planning. She was used to this, of course, but bringing in someone new to be a high-ranking officer was new. Obviously, the communicator to Gryphus was dead, so she had given up on that. She had chosen to bring in three people to replace Gryphus. The first had experience in her army; he was Lieutenant number 103, whose name was... well, no one knew his name, but called him the Paranoid Guy. He seemed capable enough, and had been present when General Gryhpus had taken over three Canadian provinces in two days. The second was a confident, pink-haired woman named Anna. The Empress knew enough not to point out the hair; Raven's lavender hair and Espionage's white spikes had taught her enough. The third was a weather expert, but crazy. Her name was Kim, and no one except the secretly rebellious jailer seemed to appreciate her. Ah well, thought the Empress as she adjusted a map. She was useful as a meteorologist, and she was always either in the weather center or somewhere else watching a show called Code Lyoko, whose characters existed in this world. Anyway, the Empress had gone through a lot with these people, and was now happily shut away in her private room in the newly-back-on-Earth base, planning to take over what small parts of the world she hadn't managed to yet. She suddenly had an urge to kill someone. She decided a random grunt would do, then remembered that Jack Spicer was in town, and would have brought an army of Bots. The Empress put a Post-it note on the maps and plans, then set off.

Dojo's window was open. He had curled up for a nap, then decided the room was too stuffy, so he had simply opened the window. He was fast asleep, so it was easy for a fly to buzz in. Obviously, this was no ordinary fly, or else it wouldn't be a point of focus. It was Slade using the Manchurian Musca. Slade flew through, ignoring Dojo, then out the door into the hallway, where he turned and went down a corridor. He was very nearly caught off guard by the kitchen, where Clay was just shutting the refrigerator door on a chocolate cake. (Remember, the Manchurian Musca is easily distracted by sugar.) But Slade moved on, since he had only caught a whiff. He got to Raven's room and zipped in before she closed the door. She was about to meditate inside her head; good. As she disappeared, Slade turned back into human form and seized the mirror, vanishing instantly. The sound of his maniacal laughter rang through the hall after the mirror had clattered to the floor.

i still haven't forgiven you for killin' me , you bugger...

the two different parallel storylines (TT/Emp. ; TT/XS) are a bit hard to follow when you dont necessarily state when you're switchin from one to another. you're talkin bout chase, then all of a sudden Empress pops in...

other than that, its good

Well, the storylines are supposed to mesh. But I might want to state when I'm switching, yeah. Yes, I did still kill you... so go ahead and kill me in the Chronicles, then.

Jack was flying towards Chase Young's lair. Maybe he could swap Shen-Gong-Wu, but what he really wanted was to be part of the new evil team. When he got there, after making a few detours (he couldn't concentrate, and got diverted by the Wings of Tinabi), he went directly to Chase Young. Chase groaned at the sight of him, but didn't kick him out. Instead, he slammed the door onto Jack, then closed it again. That made him feel better. "What do you have to say, you worthless insect?" Chase snapped. Jack peeled himself off of the wall, then said, "I want to join the evil team, and I've got the Wings of Tinabi to help the cause. I also saved every robot I ever built that wasn't completely destroyed."
Chase mulled this over a second. "Give me the Wings of Tinabi," Chase ordered. Jack handed them over happily. Then Chase led him out the door, with his hand on Jack's back. Then, when they were at the cliff, Chase pushed him off. "Idiot," he muttered, and was about to walk back into the lair when Jack flew back up with the Heli-Bot.
"I have, like, a million robots," he pleaded, "and they could be useful in bulk. And with upgrades." Chase sighed.
"If you have enough bots, that are not your usual useless variety, I might give you a spot in my team." Jack pumped his fist and they both flew off towards Jack's house.

Meanwhile, the Empress had already gotten there. She didn't find Jack, but shrugged and took out her trusty grenade launcher. Once she had found the part of Jack's basement where the warehouse full of Jack-Bots were kept, she carefully placed grenades at strategic points around the bots. Then she threaded a fuse through the metal door to herself. She was peering through a window to the Bots, which were of every variety. She smiled like an artist as she lit the fuse, and watched it go down to the first grenade. That one blew up, causing the next one to, and so on, causing massive explosions inside the storehouse with parts of robots and grenades flying everywhere. The face of a Jack-Bot, melted, slammed against the window, rattling the pane, and slid down. The Empress roared with laughter at the sight of such destruction. She had needed to loosen up after what she'd been through recently with Kim. Then, when the explosions were over and the Jack-Bots were sufficiently unrecognizable, the Empress departed the back door.

TTXSTTXSTTXSTTXSTTXSTTXS

Now Chase and Jack were arriving at the front door. They went to the warehouse with Jack's bots and found a mass of molten metal. "What the..." Chase exclaimed at the sight of it. Jack screamed his usual high-pitched shriek. "My Jack-Bots!" he cried out. He sank to his knees and picked up a piece of metal, then promptly dropped it in alarm. "OW! They're hot!" he yelled. Chase raised his eyebrows. "Well, if they're hot, we just missed the perpetrator. Too bad, I wanted to congratulate them. No deal, Spicer. Thanks for the Wings, though." With that, he turned on his heel. Before he left, though, he spotted a Post-It note on the door, and peeled it off. "Dear Jack, I owe you one army of useless robots. Oh, wait, no I don't. I'm too evil! From, the Empress," it read. Chase Young smiled. Now he knew who had done it.

The Empress returned to general chaos. Apparently, Phil had gone on a rampage and eaten/vaporized a couple dozen people, including Mechanic 653 and a grunt named Kenny. Kim, Paranoid Guy, and Anna were evacuating the building, sealing it off. But the Empress opened the doors again to fright from the others. She had expected this; Gryphus had been Phil's keeper. Phil shot out of the base and soared into the air, then fired a neutron blast directly at it. The roof crumbled at once, falling in and probably killing many. The Empress sighed and pressed a button on the weakened wall. A tunnel opened up in the ground, and the four leaders dove into it and sealed it off.
"We'll never be able to stop that thing, it's hopeless," Paranoid Guy moaned in character.
"That's what planes, tanks, and nukes are for," Anna grinned. She was already getting a chance to try out some of the heavy stuff.
"Well, although a dead body like Phil's might decompose and benefit the ecosystem, a nuke would make it uninhabitable anyways," Kim explained.
"Enough!" the Empress boomed. "This tunnel leads somewhere, but I don't know where. Gryhpus built it. Probably thought this would happen. Let's move." And they started out along the passage.

Slade found himself in Raven's mind, in a barren field. Raven had apparently gone off somewhere, because he could see all around. Then the emoti-clones popped up. Discipline wasted no time in marching up to Slade and barking, "You aren't welcome here! Get out before we kick you out!" Slade paused, then smacked Discipline across the face. She staggered, and the other emotions backed off a little. Except Brave, who stayed firm, and Fear and Timid, who turned and fled. "Lotus Twister!" Slade announced, and his arm stretched far and fast enough to grab Fear by her cloak. He dragged her towards him and held up a dagger. When she was close enough, he held the dagger to her throat. "Try anything, and she's the one who's going to pay the price!" he cried out triumphantly. The other emotions sank back into the ground; Brave did so reluctantly. Then Slade released Fear, and she too disappeared. He strode on unhindered.

Espionage was strolling through the corridor, and decided to take a peek into Raven's room. She wasn't there. That was normal. The Manchurian Musca was on the floor. That wasn't normal. Espionage suddenly realized what was going on. Quickly, he slid the Manchurian Musca across the corridor floor, so it went towards the monks' rooms, picked up the mirror, and was off in a flash.

Slade got to the real Raven, on a cliff. That was very convenient. He fished in his pocket for the Manchurian Musca to sneak over, then found out it wasn't there. So instead, he walked as quietly as he could. Then, when Raven turned, he broke into a sprint, seized her shoulders, and forced her into a pair of green glowing handcuffs. These cuffs were specially designed by Espionage, as they had once been the power source for his gun. Slade had retrieved the pieces from the street where he had fought Gryphus and the street where he had fought Rage and converted them into handcuffs. They were also very heavy. Just to be on the safe side, Slade attached a ball and chain to Raven's ankle, so that she was completely unable to fly. She struggled, but of course could not break free. "What - how -" Raven spluttered, not finding words. "Do you always meditate on the edge of a cliff, or was it just my good fortune to find you there?" Slade asked curiously. "Anyway, it won't be long now before Espionage finds out what happened and comes in after me. Of course, I'll have you as a hostage." Once again, Slade broke out into maniacal laughter. No one could stop him now.

The Empress and her comrades got to a large room, probably intended for more people. Suddenly there came a commotion from above and Kip, the supposed God of Waffles, came crashing down with Martin, a mechanic who occasionally handled Phil. "We just got out alive," Kip gasped. He was still wearing his chef's hat. "Phil's still on a rampage, he's destroyed the entire base." The Empress cocked an eyebrow. "Everything?" she asked.
"Well, everything except the Funkatron, of course," Martin replied. Everyone else looked confused. The Empress stepped in and explained. "The Funkatron is a machine we created to combat any foe. It releases a massive explosion that can even destroy intangible objects. In fact, that was its first purpose. But it doesn't kill things inside of it, so it's controlled from the inside. Unfortunately, it looks like we're going to have to use it on Phil."
"Ah, Phil went on a rampage?" came a voice from the corner. "I expected him to. He's so unpredictable without me." And then came General Gryphus from the shadows. The Empress nearly had a heart attack. "Gry? Is that really you and not a robot or a hologram?" She poked him just to make sure.
"Yes," Gryphus replied simply. "Remember the speed-cloning machines? I used one of them to make a clone of myself, except weaker. That was the one that fought Espionage. It rode with me in the shuttle, where I wrote the letter. It was a bumpy ride, so the writing is shaky in places. Once I got to Earth, I sent out my clone to await my signal. After I had found where the base used to be, opened the underground passage, and hidden myself thoroughly, I sent the signal. My clone got killed by Espionage."
The Empress stared at him for a few seconds, then blurted, "Well, that's cheap. I mean, it's like you just randomly popped out of nowhere because the guy who put you here feared for his life. Why do that and put me through so much?"
Gryphus considered. "Well, I want to have a huge element of surprise for the next time I face Espionage. And also, it was necessary not to clue you in because your emotions made the illusion more possible."
The Empress still glared. "The base is destroyed. Explain that."
"You always said you hated the design," Gryphus retorted.
"You know what?" Anna spoke up. "I think we should all just come to terms for now, then we can go get Phil under control and I can help you settle this with my chainsaw!"

TTXSTTXSTTXSTTXSTTXSTTXS

Slade knew that Espionage hadn't a hope of saving Raven and himself. All the same, it never hurt to have precautions. So Slade had injected Raven with a sedative. And after Espionage hadn't showed up for a couple minutes, he removed Raven's cloak and carefully sliced off Raven's clothing until only what was left when Slade had had her at the top of a building was left. Then Slade patiently waited. He was surprised that it was taking this long, and was delighted to finally see Espionage barreling down towards him. He then made sure that Raven was close enough to the edge of the cliff that a single push would knock her off, then hailed Espionage.
"Slade," Espionage growled.

"Espionage."

"Raven?"

"Raven."

"You bastard!"

"Yes?"

"Let her go. Now."

"My dear Espionage, you don't seem to grasp the situation," Slade chuckled. He loved this. "You see, I have a human life in the balance. Or is Raven human?"
Espionage clenched his teeth, then relaxed a little. "So you're saying that if I make a move, you push Raven?"
"Pretty much," Slade answered casually.
"But, Slade, what you don't seem to grasp is that it works both ways," Espionage explained. "You see, if I make a move, and you push Raven off the cliff where I can't save her, then there is absolutely nothing stopping me from killing you excruciatingly painfully."
Slade faltered. He hadn't expected Espionage to be so calm and thinking like that. "Well, make your move, then," he prompted.
Espionage stood completely still for a moment, then sent a bolt of electricity at the chain connecting the very heavy iron ball to Raven's ankle. Slade shoved, but it was too late. The chain burned, and snapped when Raven tumbled off. Espionage knocked Slade unconscious with a bolt, then instinctively dove off the cliff. Since he was in a more aerodynamic position, he caught up to Raven and took out a pocketknife. He then easily severed the handcuffs. "Well, something good had to come from making aluminum guns," he mused. Then he used the Thunder Thrust to slow them both down.

The pair of them landed softly, then Espionage, with a cold gleam in his eyes, zoomed back up alone just as Slade was getting up. He was pinned to the wall by Espionage, then thrown the other way. Slade landed in a heap, then was lifted by the collar and punched in the face with an electric fist. He got up and ran, pursued by blue lightning as he went. Espionage did not take kindly to an attempted murder of his girlfriend.

TTETTETTETTETTETTETTETTE

The leaders of the Empire (and Martin and Kip) were about to go up to the surface when someone tapped on Gryphus' shoulder. "What?" Gryphus snapped. He saw someone he didn't recognize; he had a curtain of dark hair and was wearing armor. "My name is Chase Young," said Chase Young. "I saw your Empress' work on those Jack-Bots." The Empress came back when she heard herself mentioned.
Kim lit up. "Hey, you're Chase Young I know you cause I watch Xiaolin Showdown when it's on right before Code Lyoko I think you're really cool and evil and I really like Code Ly-"
"SHUT UP!" Anna screamed. She had had enough of Kim. Everyone else took their hands off their ears.
"Thank you, Anna," the Empress said. "Anyway, you liked that? I thought it was hilarious."
"I think it was... very cool," Chase agreed. "And I have a sort of evil alliance with Slade and a few others. Would you like to come and join?"
The Empress considered. "Sure, but first we need to take care of our dragon. It's on a rampage," she informed Chase. And so they went up.

General Gryphus already had a plan. "Oh, Phil?" he called. Phil looked down and softened to see Gryphus again. "I have a little something for you," Gryphus smirked, pushing Martin forward. "Me?" Martin squealed, turning frantically. But it was too late. Phil had already snapped him up in his jaws. He was apparently pacified. Gryphus smiled and sighed. "Good old Phil."

Slade came back furious. He locked himself in his quarters preparing a presentation, then assembled the villains. "Fellows, you all know the prophecy of the fabled Danny Phantom," he seethed. The Empire leaders raised their eyebrows. "Apparently not," Slade sighed. "I'll read out the transcript."

"There once was a man who was interested in ghosts. So he went to a seer to inquire about the supernatural. She suddenly went into a prophecy about a hero. She said, 'There shall cometh a hero. And he shall be dressed in black, though this shall not be a sign of evil, and his hair shall be pure white, though this shall not be a sign of age. He shall be merely a boy. He shall have many powers. He shall emit green flashes of heat, fly, and make himself invisible and intangible. He shall clone himself, reflect attacks...' At this point, the seer was interrupted by the curious man. He asked her who this Phantom's friends would be, and she replied, 'It's coming through... a technological wizard... doesn't eat meat... dark outlook on life...' There she fell silent, and continued, 'He shall have many enemies. A hunter, obsessed with catching him, a calculating evil genius, shall be two of his worst.' After this, the man did not ask any more, for the old seer had fallen silent once more and would not move."

"Now, I have a theory. What if the name was thrown out? Then what would you be left with?"

Chase looked at Wuya and back at Slade. "Quite a lot of information," he replied. "Exactly," Slade cried. "Now, let's compare his stats to that of Espionage."

Kim could hardly contain her laughter at this whole discussion. "Now, you all have seen Espionage," Slade continued. "You know his hair is in those white spikes. And that his trenchcoat was black. You also remember his gun, which could fire green blasts. Now he can fly, and with the aid of Shen-Gong-Wu, can turn himself invisible, intangible, reflect attacks, and clone himself. You also know the Teen Titans. Beast Boy doesn't eat meat. Cyborg's a technological wizard if there ever was one. Raven has a darker outlook on life than I've seen. They all fit. Gryphus, you could easily be the obsessed hunter, and I the calculating genius. So what does anybody have to say to disprove me?"

The Empress, Gryphus, Anna, Kim, and Paranoid Guy all got to their feet. Kip wasn't in the gang. They all said in unison, "We know where he might be." Slade whirled around. "What?" he shouted. "In our world, you are all fictional characters," the Empress began. "So is this Danny Phantom," Gryphus continued. "So, if you're all fictional for us," Anna explained, "And you all are found where you are in the fictional universe," Kim reasoned, "Then Danny Phantom must live where he does in our fictional world," Paranoid Guy finished. Everyone stared in shock. "Where does he live?!" Slade barked. "Amity Park," the Empire leaders stated as one.

TTXSTTXSTTXSTTXSTTXSTTXS

Inside Raven's head, she awoke in Espionage's arms. "Did you save me again?" she asked unnecessarily. "Yeah," Espionage replied casually. Raven smiled. "When will I ever get out of something on my own again?" They laughed, and exited the dimension.

Espionage tossed the Manchurian Musca to Dojo as he slithered by. Then Espionage got to his room and flipped open his laptop. For some reason, he had the strangest urge to look up himself. He found several sites, mostly on government tactics and spy movies, and one on Metal Gear Solid. Then he found a website created by the user Cyclops. Espionage was interested to hear what Slade had to say this time, and found out that he had compared him to a fellow named Danny Phantom. Then Espionage searched for Danny Phantom, finding a news website for a city called Amity Park. Apparently, this kid Phantom battled ghosts daily and was half-ghost himself. He wondered what everyone else would think of this news.

"He sounds like the kind of guy we need to battle evil," Robin told Espionage. "Yeah, but what's in it for him?" Raimundo pointed out. "Well, since Slade made a website on him, I think the villains might come after him," Espionage reasoned. "But if they cannot find where he lives, they cannot fight him," Omi put in. "I mean, how could they possibly know where he lives?" Raimundo asked. "Well, either the Internet in about three seconds or the Empire in about five," Espionage said, undeterred. Everyone else thought. "Well, I'm in," Robin decided. "Everyone else?" There was a murmur of general assent.

Danny had had a hard day. He had fought Skulker, Ember, Technus, Vlad, and the Box Ghost, but we aren't counting him. And now he was fighting Walker. But he was weakening after so many fights, barely able to block Walker's attacks. Just then, a burst of green light appeared and engulfed Walker. Danny looked down at his own hands, wondering if that was him, then looked around to see if the Fenton Thermos had gone off. But Walker was only trapped in a bubble, even unable to phase out as a ghost. A guy that... kind of looked like Danny if he was in Kingdom Hearts came out from the shadows. "The name's Espionage," he introduced, as more people flew out towards him. "You must be Danny Phantom."

On the other side of town, Mayor Vlad Masters had come out personally to welcome some new arrivals to Amity Park. "Welcome to Amity Park," he said cordially, shaking the hand of a casual-looking man in military-esque garb. "My name is..."
"Vlad Plasmius, my name is General Gryphus," Gryphus interrupted. Vlad gave a look of surprise. "I don't know..."

"Oh, what you don't know that I know is that I know more than you know I know about what you know, you know?"

"Um... no."

"Oh, well. So we are all major villains. And we would love to join forces with you and some fellow ghosts. Perhaps... Skulker, Technus, and a few other recurring villains?"

Vlad was speechless. Then Chase and Slade popped up next to Gryphus. "These are a couple of my comrades," Gryphus explained. "Chase, Slade, meet Vlad Plasmius." Vlad then made sure no one else was watching and went ghost. "A pleasure," he smirked.

Jack Spicer had gathered up the broken remains of his robots and was trying to figure out what to do with them when Katnappe came in with a friend. Her friend was clothed in a black ninja outfit, and was wielding two daggers. "Katnappe, what do you want?" Jack snapped. "I just came to see whether you needed any help," she replied. "I heard someone blew up your bots and you didn't get in the villain's League. Well... neither did I. Or Slicer. He's been helping me recently." Jack looked over Slicer, noting his shining eyes. "Yeah, I know Espionage," Slicer told him in a tone Jack couldn't read. "I told him I got into UT, and I did. We're the Undoers of Tranquility!" Jack lit up at the sound of that. "Ooh! Can I be in the Undoers?" he whined. Katnappe grinned. "I guess, but we're going to have to work on your bots. You need something intimidating and huge. It turns out that Slicer here isn't just good for assassin work; he's pretty handy with machines. Maybe he can help."

Hours later, Jack and Slicer had completed their first Super-Jack-Bot. It was a War of the Worlds-like tripod, with two mechanical hands and a laser on top of its head. "I call this one," Slicer called out. Katnappe sidled into the room and raised her eyebrows. "I'm impressed," she admitted. "I didn't think anything built from your Jack-Bots could be of any use." Jack shot her a dirty look.

Danny and his friends, Sam and Tucker, had gone back with the Xiaolin monks and Teen Titans to the Temple. "So how did you get that thing to trap Walker?" Danny asked. Espionage held up his shiny new titanium laser pistol. Not only had he made it of stronger stuff, but he had condensed it even more. "This thing? It's... well, stuff from another dimension." Raven suddenly remembered something. "Hey, how haven't you run out of that stuff yet? Didn't you harvest the energy from some alien?"

"Yeah, but who says that means I run out?" With that, he pushed a button on the side of the pistol and a portal suddenly opened in front of them, revealing one of the creatures in question. When it lashed a tentacle, Espionage caught the pistol on it, and the energy was released into the gun. Espionage did this all in a somewhat bored manner. Then he closed the portal to see Danny, Sam, and Tucker's incredulous faces. "So, you wanted to know how it trapped Walker? Well, it was some kind of... you see, the species... you know, I really have no idea why it did."

Espionage noticed something then. Danny's eyes kept flicking back to Raven. Espionage couldn't suppress a grin. "Are you checking her out?" he asked. To his surprise, both Danny and Raven were quick to answer, "No... well, I..." Espionage burst out laughing. He spluttered to Raven, "You were checking him out?" Raven looked extremely uncomfortable. "No, I was... you see..." Suddenly, all of the Titans and Danny got a strange feeling. As if a great outburst had come from a distant entity. It was... funky. But of course, that's not the point of all this. Espionage's laughter subsided. "Sorry, but it's just pretty funny to me." Nobody else seemed to think so much, and were staring at him. "Well, can't you see? We look alike, apparently we both like Raven, we both have superpowers... we're each other, except I'm more used to this universe." Everyone immediately swiveled their heads towards Danny, then to Espionage. Then they did a double take. "You're... right," Robin said in a freaked tone. Danny glared at Espionage. Things were not working out between them.

Chase, the Empress, Slade, and Plasmius all sat around a table, with their associates behind them. Chase with Wuya and Hannibal Bean, the Empress with Gryhpus and Anna, Slade with Brother Blood and Madame Rouge, and Plasmius with Skulker and Walker, who was freed from the bubble. They all sat, discussing strategy, when one of the walls was destroyed. There were Jack's three Super-Jack-Bots. Slicer was piloting the tripod. Katnappe had a scorpion bot, with giant claws and a sting with a laser. Jack had the biggest one, a colossal spider with lasers in each leg, eye, and fang. In short, he had the coolest one. Needless to say, the three bots crashed into the room somewhat dramatically. "What do you want?" Chase sighed. "Oh, wait, let me guess. You want to join the League. And you think you can force us to let you in with the bots. But we have ghosts on our side now. And people from the Empire. With tanks. So maybe we'll just let you in out of pity. And because I like these new, useful mechs."

Sorry I haven't put up a chapter in forever. I just didn't get around to it.

That night, the third in the Quartet of Destruction revealed itself. "The Drill of Doom," Dojo droned dramatically. "It can tunnel through the entire earth and come out the other side. Now, you may wonder, what could that do? Well, it could drain the oceans. For starters."

"But," Espionage interjected, "Not much of the ocean can fit in a hole at the poles."

"You're forgetting that it's hot at the center of the earth, causing evaporation and allowing more water to flood in," Dojo reminded him. "The entire world could be thrown into chaos."

"Then what are we waiting for?" Danny shouted. "Let's go! Um, where is it?"

"The North Pole," Dojo answered. "Makes sense, huh?"

TTXSDPETTXSDPETTXSDPETTXSDPE

The world was quiet where Chase was working. He had sent out most of the villains to go recruiting when the doorbell started ringing. If it was good news, it'd be the first. "Who are you?" Chase demanded. "It's Jack," came the reply. Chase sighed. "Then get out of the way," he said, flinging the door open. "This had better be important." Jack smiled. "Oh, it is. This message came from Technus. He wants to join. Can we just contact him from this room?" Chase nodded. "This magical orb allows me to open a portal to anywhere. We could find him immediately if we wanted." But then, the doorbell started ringing again.

There was a bloodcurdling scream from the other side. "It's... the... Drill of... Doom," Wuya gasped as she accidentally blasted the door apart. The biggest chunk landed on Spicer, flattening him. "It's revealed itself, and it's at the North Pole." Chase straightened. "Technus can wait," he said sharply. "We have a Drill to find."

EVERYONEEVERYONEEVERYONE

It was an interesting sight to anyone below. Dojo was, as usual, carrying Kimiko, Clay, Omi, and Raimundo, while Espionage flew beside them, crackling with electricity. Raven and Starfire were also flying, while Beast Boy had turned into a pterodactyl and was hefting Cyborg. Robin was being carried by Starfire. Danny was airborne, of course, while Sam and Tucker were piloting the Specter Speeder.

This brigade of heroes was met at the pole by a different set of people. There were several deadly planes hovering overhead, with most of the Empire leaders in them, while a few surviving grunts were in others. Phil was dutifully soaring by with Gryphus astride him. Vlad, Skulker, Walker, Ember, Fright Knight, and the Box Ghost floated nearby, smiling evilly and posing menacingly. Wuya and Chase were somehow suspended in midair, with Hannibal Roy Bean astride the Ying-Ying Bird. Jack was using the Heli-Bot, accompanied by the tripod mech, which was swiveling its legs madly like helicopter blades and surprisingly staying aloft. Slicer was strapped in the pilot's seat, whooping. Katnappe was in the Silver Manta Ray (she wanted to use the Crouching Cougar for cat purposes, but it couldn't fly). Slade, Brother Blood, and Madame Rouge... were also in the Silver Manta Ray, because I can't think of another villain vehicle that would have allowed them to fly. And Slade's minions were there too, attached to clumps of balloons. Just because.

So, these two airborne armies faced each other. Then they spotted the Drill of Doom on a block of ice. Then everyone's eyes were diverted by another chunk of ice. There were people frozen in it. Well, one and a half people. A hunter and a mermaid were in there. Kimiko struggled to hold back Omi, while everyone else that knew what was in there attempted to keep their distance. Espionage, who had no idea who it was, went up and shot the block with hot lightning. Everyone shouted, "NO!" but it was too late. Fortunately, he had only hit the hunter, Klofange, who sprang out of the ice like a tiger, realized that his nemesis was still frozen, and lowered his spear. Espionage laughed. "You didn't actually think I was going to release that mermaid? The look frozen in her eyes gives her away." Klofange looked up and spotted the Xiaolin monks, giving them a small smile. Then everyone dove for the Drill.

People became ferociously locked in combat. Jack was losing to Tucker's bare hands, while Sam was firing everything the Specter Speeder had at the ghosts. Slade's minions hovered above with their balloons, unable to land. Danny was battling Vlad, still finding time to glare at Espionage, who returned the look while firing at the tripod, which had come down. The monks fought their villains, the Titans clashed with theirs, and the Empire planes just shot at anything that looked hittable. Phil had found an opponent in Dojo, and Gryphus raised his sword and yelled out.

Suddenly, the Drill of Doom glowed. A few people had literally dove for it when a break came in their action, and when the random dust had cleared, everyone saw who it was. Espionage was lying flat on his belly, his fingertips a hair's breadth from the Wu. Slade was the same way. "Dang it!" they said simultaneously, hitting the ice once with a fist; then they cried, "Holy crap!" as they feared that they had caused cracks in the ice. But the real competitors for the Drill were Danny and General Gryphus, who were staring each other full in the face and sneered. "Well," Gryphus said, "This should be interesting."

*strokes beard (well, its not really a beard)*

So I get to engage in a showdown, and against Danny Phantom of all people. Oh, Empress will be torn between the two of us. Let's hope she roots for the right one *glares*.

"Danny Phantom, I challenge you to a Xiaolin Showdown," Gryphus announced. "My..." he fished in his pockets, "Um... Mikado Arm... against your Glove of Jisaku."

"The game is Frozen Maze," Danny decided. "First to reach the finish wins. Let's go... XIAOLIN SHOWDOWN!"

Suddenly, the two were thrust apart, and two identical ice mazes sprung up around them. Their legs were placed in bulky two-legged mechas. Frozen pillars appeared to lift the spectators, one for the heroes and one for the villains. A third pillar suddenly appeared, where the Empress landed. She wasn't sure who to root for, and as Espionage appeared next to her, it was clear he didn't either. This shows just how much he disliked Danny. However, he soon vanished and came back on the heroes' side.

Espionage was good at mazes, so he quickly scanned this one from his bird's-eye view, looking for the right route. Danny and Gryphus went along for a while perfectly, seeing obvious dead ends almost instantly, but then came a fork where neither was apparent. Espionage saw this and traced each path. He then shouted, "Left, Danny. Go left!"

This was quite audible to Gryphus. He, knowing Espionage, promptly turned left. Danny, however, turned right. Espionage slapped his forehead. "You idiot!" he cried, and along the way Danny came across the end of that road. "Crap," Danny muttered, then swiveled around. The Empress watched wordlessly, her eyes darting from the General to Danny.

By the time Danny had come to the fork again, Gryphus was long gone in his maze. Since the mechas only went at two speeds, one being 0, there was no way Danny could catch up. Or was there? "Glove of Jisaku!" Danny cried out, and the ice wall strained and cracked off its supports, clamping to the glove. Danny let it fall, then stepped over the broken wall, and moved on. Gryphus glared. "Mikado Arm!" he shouted, and his arms grew and split his sleeves.

"Man... this was the shirt I wore when I conquered France," he complained.

"Yeah, that's an accomplishment," the Empress called sarcastically.

"Hey, whose side are you on?"

"I don't know. That's why I'm on this third platform."

Gryphus suddenly jumped. Danny was pulling down walls, and he hadn't moved. He brought his mecha around and punched the wall to smithereens. His start from the fork had allowed him enough time to still be ahead. He was punching walls, which took a shorter time than having them yanked off their bases, so he got farther ahead. He saw the finish line. He went for it. The heroes sank to their knees in dismay. Espionage kept beating his forehead to his fist. Danny knew that he had failed. And Gryphus crossed the finish.

The field went back to being the North Pole. Gryphus punched the air in triumph, clutching the Drill of Doom. "Now let's drain the oceans!" he crowed.

"Not yet," Dojo corrected.

"What?"

"The Drill of Doom only works in conjunction with the fourth Shen-Gong-Wu in the Quartet of Destruction."

"Which is...?"

"The Sapphire Dragon."

"Well, Dojo, it's a good thing we have the Sapphire Dragon, now isn't it? But you have some time. It's back at our base." And with that, the villains vanished.

"Come on!" Espionage exclaimed. "We've got to go follow them! Except... you go. I'll catch up."

"Why?" Raven asked.

"I've forgotten to write my will."

Sorry for not posting a chapter in like forever, I just hadn't gotten around to finishing it for a while.

The heroes arrived at the base to see that the villains had fetched their Sapphire Dragon already, and were waiting for them. Not just those that had arrived to pick up the Drill, but every single villain the Xiaolin Monks, Teen Titans, or Danny Phantom had ever faced, plus every weapon the Empire still had to their name.

"Holy crap," Espionage and Danny said together. And the battle promptly began. Slicer was having way too much fun trying to blast everyone off the map with his tripod. Then its legs got sliced off by Raimundo's Blade of the Nebula. Slicer crawled out of the wreckage, pulled out two daggers, and began fighting ninja-style. He clashed with Espionage, who thought he might just be a ninja hired by someone. Then he noticed the brightly shining eyes. "It can't be..." he muttered. Espionage darted around to Slicer's back and yanked off his hood. "Espionage," Slicer said calmly. "Slicer! What are you doing on the side of evil?" Espionage demanded.

"Back when we were in school together, you were always the top," Slicer began monologuing. "You beat me at everything. I was always number two. You knew it. And you loved it. There was, however, the one exception. I was better than you with a blade. Of course, there wasn't much opportunity to show this. Then I saw that you were writing things during class. Notes to a fictional character. That struck me as odd material for blackmail. And then you went and became a hero and I found out that the characters were real. You got even more ahead of me. You crossed three shows between each other, not to mention a group of actual people."

"Speaking of the Empire," Espionage interrupted, "I'd like to know what went wrong with this." He yanked a kitchen knife from his belt. It was clean. "Whoops, wrong one," he said, pulling out another one that had dried blood on it. "I DNA tested this blood. It's Gryphus'. Yet he's standing right there. Why?"

Slicer shrugged. "Search me, he doesn't tell me anything. But while you have those out..." And he struck. They dueled for a couple minutes, then Espionage noticed the top of a precipice. Danny was fighting Gryphus and losing. Espionage kicked Slicer to the ground for a second, long enough for him to spring up to the cliff. Gryphus was about to strike with his sword when Espionage blocked it with his knives. "What are you doing?" Danny cried.

"Saving your life."

"I had him covered!"

"You, Phantom, have a poor grip of your situation."

Espionage forced Gryphus back a bit, but he soon thrust out again. "You just placed yourself in an unwise situation," he snarled.

Down below, Raimundo had managed to retrieve some of the Wu. Omi kicked Panda Bubba aside from a ways away and called, "Get the Sands of Time and the Black Beetle! The Hoduku..."

"Omi! Behind you!" Raimundo yelled. Jack Spicer's mammoth spider was at the point of firing deadly laser beams at Omi. Omi turned, but it was too late. The spider fired more than a dozen lasers into his head. Omi had been called Cheeseball by Jack in the past; now Swiss-Cheeseball would be more appropriate.

Also in this ground-level fight, Sam had been caught by the Lunch Lady and Desiree. The Box Ghost laughed as he summoned two cardboard boxes near Clay, who had the Kuzusu Atom. Rips appeared halfway down the tall boxes, and they turned into mouths full of jagged cardboard teeth. AFter being chased, Clay was captured by the corrupted cardboard, and the Box Ghost picked up the Kuzusu Atom and faced Sam.

Danny and Espionage were battling Gryphus, and it seemed sure that they would win. But suddenly, Gryphus pushed a button and Espionage was sucked into the ground so that his feet were trapped.

"The Empress wants you alive," Gryphus spat at Danny, "But I think I can make do with that." He threw a red-and-white sphere at Danny, which opened up. A red light shot out, enveloped Phantom, and locked him inside.

"Was that a Pokeball?" Espionage asked.

"Yes."

"Oh, come on, don't we have enough continuities already?"

"No."

Gryphus stood over Espionage, waiting. Then, Raven came over the precipice. She had been pursued by Wuya, but had gotten away. "Don't you dare hurt Espionage," she screamed, her fist glowing black. "Take me instead."

"No," Espionage said firmly, but Gryphus stroked his 'beard.' "The Empress does want you both dead... you'll both suffer severe emotional trauma... but I think the Empress is saving the pleasure of killing you for herself."

With that, he thrust his sword into Espionage's chest. With another push of his button, Espionage was freed from the rock, but not of the sword. Gryphus laughed. Espionage made a strangled sound. And Gryphus pushed him off the cliff with one booted foot. Espionage tumbled down to the bottom, where he lay motionless. He was stone dead.

That didn't happen.... Tell me that didn't happen.... It was all a dream.... That showdown, that battle, Espionage dying.... That didn't happen.

"Raven?" It was Robin. Raven opened her eyes. She was in a tent of some sort. They were the only people there. "Robin... where am I? What happened?" Raven asked.

"I brought you here after you were knocked unconscious. We're in a tent beyond the battle."

"When was I unconscious?"

"The Empress swooped by in her fighter. You got a gash on your arm, and then Malchior, Phil, Prince Aragon, and dragon Chase Young all came after you. Luckily, one of the Empire's minions' planes was shot down, and its pilot landed on Phil. Phil was distracted shaking him off, and his deadly blast missed and grazed Prince Aragon, whose flame went off-center and hit Chase's arm. You were able to put up a shield in time to block Malchior's flame, but he knocked you out with a physical blow. ...I guess he thought you were dead, because he didn't pursue you further."

Raven was starting to remember now, and suddenly grabbed her upper arm, wincing. "Yeah... I think that's where the Empress hit me," she remarked. Then she suddenly sat straighter. "I have to go back out there," she said. "Espionage..."

"Raven... it's too late."

"No. It's not too late. I can.. I can..." Raven broke down in a flood of tears. Robin looked uncomfortable; he wasn't sure whether to try and comfort her. "Who else is dead?" Raven choked.

"Sam. The Box Ghost vaporized her with the Kuzusu Atom. And Omi got blasted with a dozen lasers by Jack. Nobody really knows where Danny went, he disappeared about when Espionage died."

"Danny I think is still alive. He's trapped in some red-and-white sphere at the base of the cliff. I don't know what it is, though; Espionage called it a 'Pokay-Ball.'"

"What the heck is a Pokay?"

Raven was standing up. "I'm going back out there," she told Robin. "I can still fight, and I'll fight until my last breath."

"Then I'm going with you."

Gryphus was annoyed. He had done all he wanted to do; he had killed Espionage. And yet this battle still raged on. If he was in control, he would have sped up time so that the fight was over. But alas, he was not, so he was fending off Terra, who hasn't really been mentioned in a while. "Come on, Terra, feeling a little uncertain since three of your comrades died and others abandoned you?" That was one thing he liked about battles; the taunts.

"What do you mean, they abandoned me?" Terra inquired. "They're right behind you."

Gryphus wheeled around, but saw no one. Terra hit him in the back of the head with a rock, and he crumpled. "I can't believe you fell for that," Terra laughed. Then she screamed as a grenade exploded right behind her, the blast almost close enough to be deadly. She was knocked off balance, fell, and was caught by Beast Boy, who was passing in T-Rex mode. The Empress hovered above, pounding her fist on her fighter's dashboard to see that she had missed.

Tucker came across a ball as he was running from Sydney Poindexter and Klemper. "Huh? What's this?" he asked himself as he swiped it from the ground, not stopping. Inexplicably, the ball swelled in his fist, and he pressed the grayish button in the middle of it, where the red and white met. A red light shot out, and as Tucker looked back, he saw that Danny had come out. Poindexter and Klemper stopped in their tracks as Danny's hands glowed, then fell as he blasted them both. "Thanks, buddy, I owe you one," Tucker said, giving Danny the thumbs-up.

"Funny, I was about to say the same thing," Danny replied. "Even?"

"Even." But their moment of peace was shattered by the arrival of Technus, Ember, and Walker, who kept Danny busy. Then Skulker phased through the ground behind Tucker and blasted his PDA with a missile. "Try and hack me now, intelligent whelp," he spat. Tucker turned just in time to see the rocket coming at his face.

Danny fought off his three attackers and saw Tucker slump over as his head was blown apart. Danny viciously attacked Skulker, the full ghost's armor breaking off, until only Skulker's weak blob form remained. Danny even kicked that around for a while before sucking him into the Fenton Thermos.

Anna was exiting the villains' headquarters, inside a gigantic red boxy machine on wheels. "One Funkatron, coming up!" she roared gleefully, and aimed the laser at Kim. Then she shook her head, and pointed it instead at Kimiko. With the press of a button, a laser beam about Cyborg's height shot out and instantly disintegrated Kimiko, then kept going and accidentally zapped one of the Empire's tanks out of existence.

Paranoid Guy was getting into the spirit of things, waving around a flamethrower and laughing maniacally. He spotted Raimundo attempting to flee the battlefield with a sack of Shen-Gong-Wu, and gave chase. Raimundo, however, backflipped over Paranoid Guy's head, and when he turned around, whacked him in the face with the bag of Wu. "Well, that wasn't the most high-tech weapon, but it'll do," he said to himself, then broke out into a run again to get out of the battle.

Robin met Raimundo on his way to the field. "Robin, we need to get the others," Raimundo told him. "Omi was telling me a plan before he got fried, but I think I know what he was talking about. I have the Wu I need, we just have to get as many people as we can." Robin slowly nodded. "Right. Let's go."

The Empress' plane somersaulted three times in the air. Kim, who happened to see the gesture from her own fighter, recognized the signal and flew towards the headquarters. Landing haphazardly, she rushed in, seized the controls of a wicked-looking machine, and thrust the lever to move forward. The machine came out of the base, its lightning rod-like antennae glinting in the moonlight, its platform that looked right for something somewhat larger than a human stood between them, and what looked like yet another laser sat in the middle.

The Empress aimed her plane straight for Cyborg and dove; at the last minute, she ejected, and the fighter ran straight through Cyborg's stomach. He flew back more than 50 feet, still alive thanks to his mechanical torso. That is, alive until the stores of grenades on the underside of the aircraft exploded, taking Cyborg, an unlucky Klofange, and a few random robots with it. The Empress herself, on the other hand, landed gracefully on the platform of the new machine, shedding her parachute after she did so.

"Allow me to announce the unveiling of Gryphus' newest creation, the Cipher Siphon. Unfortunately, it looks like he's unconscious, so I'll skip the speech and move on to the demonstration," she called cheerfully. "Raven, you'll be a perfect example. Kim, aim the beam." Kim flicked switches and pulled levers to adjust the laser so that it had Raven in its sights. This was no easy task, as Raven was doing her best to dodge the eye of the laser, swooping behind people and landforms. Finally, Kim announced, "Locked on target, Empress!" The Empress smirked, something that she did often. "Excellent. Fire!"

A whitish blue streak of light, like a line of ice, came shooting out towards Raven. She avoided it, but the beam actually changed direction and followed her. This went on for quite some time, much like a game of tag. But Raven couldn't keep it up forever. She started to weaken, and when she was slow enough, the ray hit her.

Raven fell through the air, caught by Danny, who was pulled aside by Raimundo. And then something happened. Obviously. What happened was the lightning rod things glowing and crackling black. Raven felt herself getting weaker. The Empress was bathed in a black glow. And then everything stopped. The Empress laughed, her hands shining black, which is a bit contradictory. And then she cried out three words that nobody ever expected her to use:

"Azarath Metrion Zinthos!"

Black tendrils of energy flew out of the Empress - Raven's energy. Not surprisingly, they headed straight for Raven. Raven tried to fly, but she couldn't. Meanwhile, the Empress lifted off. "How does it feel, Raven, losing everything you have? Your friends, your powers, your home..."

Raven struggled against the bonds that held her, then realized something. "Wait, what do you mean, my home? What have you done to Titans Tower?"

The Empress smiled. "As we speak, Slade's minions are placing explosives on your precious Titans Tower. Hopefully, they should be done in a few minutes." With that, the Empress started tearing Raven limb from limb with her own powers, relishing every moment.

Over on the precipice, Gryphus awoke. "Hey, what'd I miss?" he asked the empty air cheerily. Then he spotted the Empress hovering above his new machine, killing Raven painfully. "Great, I missed the unveiling," he grumbled. He picked up his sword and remembered, "Oh yeah, I wanted to kill Terra." Sheathing his blade, he whipped out what looked like a TV remote and started pressing buttons.

Up in space, a satellite moved towards the battle scene. Its tip glowed brighter and brighter as its Solar Operated Laser Gun warmed up.

Gryphus, calmly walking through the scenes of battle, mentally drew an X on the ground. When Terra was heading for that point, the General pressed the button. A giant explosive beam erupted from the satellite in space, hurtled towards the ground, and struck Terra precisely. The radius of the laser was so large, however, that it also fried Beast Boy, Clay, and General Immortus as it struck. "And that was on the lowest setting!" Gryphus called out.

Robin watched all the destruction in dismay. He looked at who was left: himself, Starfire, Raimundo, Dojo, and Danny were all that were left. "Fall back!" he yelled. Everyone looked at him like he was crazy. "You heard me, we don't have a chance," Robin said. Immediately, Raimundo sprinted towards the outskirts of the battle, while Danny phased through the ground, "tunneling" towards a safe point. Robin turned and fled, and Starfire and Dojo attempted to do the same. But just then, Slade leaped from the sky and sank a sharp blade into Dojo's neck. The dragon writhed, gasped, and fell to the ground, dead.

Robin inexplicably found the courage to do what Espionage had suggested he do quite some time ago. "Starfire!" he called. "If we make it out of this... and if we live on after that... would you, eventually, marry me?" Not exactly as smooth a question as it ought to be, but it got the point across. Starfire opened her mouth to answer, but Wuya came out of nowhere and blasted her. Starfire was knocked out cold, leaving Chase Young, who was below, to rip her to shreds in his dragon form. "STARFIRE!" Robin screamed. Now he would never know. And he had lost his last teammate. It was just him, Raimundo, and Danny. As they escaped, Danny asked, "We'll never scrounge up enough allies to beat these guys."

"Who said we were asking new people for help?" Raimundo said. "Join hands. I think we can stop this from ever happening!"

As they raced against the advancing villains, Danny and Robin both grabbed on to Raimundo. He pulled an hourglass out of his sack of Wu, held it up, and cried, "Sands of Time!" And just like that, the trio was gone.

Chase Young, who was leading the pack, stopped. "No," he breathed. "They couldn't have." Then Paranoid Guy caught up, clutching his nose. "They did," he told Chase. "Raimundo knocked me out with a bag full of our Wu." In an instant, Chase whirled around, flew towards Paranoid Guy, and stared him down.

"You couldn't stop him? You had a flamethrower. A FLAMETHROWER! And he knocked you out with a sackful of trinkets?! Now who knows when they could be. They could stop us from ever meeting, from ever existing. Any one of us could vanish at any moment." Paranoid Guy, fearing the worst, fainted.

"Leave him," Chase spat. "Or, then again, why would we go anywhere? They're gone, and we're helpless. If they have the Sapphire Dragon, we can't drain the oceans, so the Drill of Doom is useless. We just need to wait and see. Just wait and see what happens."

Kinda short, but on the most part, not bad. One little tidbit, its Strategic Orbital Linear Gun, not whatever you put. It fires nuclear warheads, not beams of light, although the solar light cannon isn't a bad idea and I do happen to have one in the works, codenamed "Icarus".

Now that that is out of the way, you seem to appear to have the characteristics of the Empire pretty much down pat.

Charles Chimag

Oh, whatever.;) Solar Operated Laser Gun, Strategic Orbital Linear Gun, what's the difference?

Atoragon
11-11-2007, 08:58 PM
I could go on for AN HOUR about the fundamental differences... but I'll be nice and make it short...

first off, your solar operated laser gun collects solar energy through solar arrays, then refocuses the solar rays into a condensed beam of light (or, atleast that is what the name of the cannon implies to us weapon nerds)

on the other hand, the strategic orbital linear gun uses a linear accelerator (if you don't know what it is, google it) to expel the charge at near the speed of light. this charge can be anything from a nuclear device to a proton bomb.

Charles Chimag
11-11-2007, 09:05 PM
'Kay. But if you had fired a nuclear warhead into the battlefield, then chances are, everyone would be dead. Anyway, I like the name Solar Operated Laser Gun better. And that's what I thought it was.

OK, haven't had a chapter up in a few weeks, but I was busy.

Suddenly, Robin, Raimundo, and Danny suddenly found themselves surrounded by lava. Danny jumped, which is hard to do in midair unless you're in a video game. "Where the heck are we?" he yelled.

"The question is," Raimundo said, jabbing the air with his finger, "when the heck are we?! See, we have become three of many time travelers! I sent us into the past. Sixteen episodes into the past, to be exact!" The trio looked around to see that they were somewhere near the center of the earth.

"You two hide behind that rock pillar," Raimundo instructed. "And hold the bag of Wu." He pulled out a bug-like object. "Black Beetle!" He was instantly covered by a suit of black-and-red armor. He gave them a salute, then backflipped into the magma. Danny balked, but Robin told him, "It's a Shen-Gong-Wu that makes you heat-resistant." They crept behind the pillar, peeking out from a hole to see the monks coming around the corner, stopped by Jack and a procession of Worm-Bots.

(Scene edited out because you could just watch it on YouTube.)

When the Hoduku Mouse was explained and thrust over the edge into the magma pit where Raimundo was hiding, everything clicked in Robin and Danny’s brains. The armor-clad monk appeared a few tense minutes later behind the other two. “Got it!” he informed them, his sudden arrival making them jump. “I used the Sands of Time to transport myself a few minutes into the future and right here. Now let’s get out of here and find out what you want to undo.”

The trio zapped into a clear field, right when they disappeared from the present. “I know what I want to change,” Danny spoke up. He took the Hoduku Mouse. “I wish I could change when I didn’t listen to Espionage and went right.” The Hoduku Mouse glowed. And suddenly, the three heroes were transported back to a certain moment in time.

BACKINTIMEBACKINTIME

Danny turned left also. Espionage wiped his forehead, feeling as though he had just saved his own life. Gryphus snarled at Danny. He had been so sure that he would go right.

Nobody really made any distinct headway over another, until the very end. Danny whipped out the Glove of Jisaku and used it to pull the final wall over. Before Gryphus could even use the Mikado Arm, Danny had won.

“Yeah, Phantom!”

“Way to go, Danny!”

“I still think you couldn’t have done it without my help…”

These comments rang through the Arctic scene for a while, then Dojo spoke up. “Of course, the Drill of Doom is useless without the Sapphire Dragon.”

“So?” Raimundo interjected. “It’s not like we were going to use it.”

“Oh, yeah.”

Gryphus stood in a corner of an island of ice, gnashing his teeth. Suddenly, he threw down a smoke bomb. The entire screen was bathed in smoke. And when it had cleared, Phil was letting loose a neutron blast towards the ice, and the rest of the villains had their weapons pointed as well.

“Enjoy your victory,” Chase Young said smoothly. “You won’t have another one.”

Sorry, I've been pretty busy lately. I have absolutely no idea when I'll get another chapter done; I've been tossing around some Avatar ideas in my head, but I still have to get this story done first. Hope to have it soon!

Phil's blast was suddenly neutralized by the bubble that Espionage had generated around the heroes. "Retreat!" Espionage yelled.

"Where?" Raimundo asked. Espionage slammed the button on the side of his laser gun. A portal opened up to Herald's dimension. An alien whipped out a tentacle, and Espionage put his gun in the way. As it charged, he leaped into the portal. Raven gasped, remembering that in that dimension, she had had to surround herself with dark energy to breathe. She dove in after him, putting up a shield to capture air. The rest followed, but as the villains tried to go after them, the portal closed. Gryphus, who was in front, ran right through where the portal was and fell into the water below.

PORTALPORTALPORTALPORTAL

With the entire group enveloped in Raven's air bubble, they wandered through the dimension until they found Herald. Raven flagged him down.

"Herald, can you make a portal to Earth?" Raven asked.

"Why couldn't I?" Herald laughed, and blew his horn.

TITANSTOWERTITANSTOWER

The Titans, monks, and Danny's gang were situated at the tower. Robin, Raimundo, and Danny had called up every single one of their allies to come help them form a perimeter around the Tower. Espionage was working on something that could help the cause (with Cyborg's help), but the rest were on the defensive. Three days later, Robin came bursting in.

"Espionage!" he gasped. His cape was torn, his shirt had three gashes in it, and his eye seemed blackened. It was a little hard to tell under the mask. "Please tell me your device is finished, whatever it is! We can't hold out much longer!"

Espionage turned and nodded. He was holding what looked like another version of his original laser cannon. "This should help," he said simply.

They went out to see an enormous battle raging. Everyone that was in the battle that never really happened was there. Even the Empire's mech, Kiryu, was flying around making life difficult with his plasma sword and general indestructibility. "Danny!" Espionage roared. Danny kicked away Youngblood and soared over. "Tell your friends to brace themselves. They're in for a ride." Once the Fentons and friends were ready, Espionage lowered a pair of goggles onto his face. Then he pushed the button on his device.

To say this was a rather interesting event would be an understatement, especially because I put four lines between this paragraph and the last one. Basically, reality warped. A bluish aura surrounded the entire island, expanding to the city, the country, and the universe. Danny and his show's cast flickered and disappeared.

Even Chase Young's mouth fell open. Paranoid Guy fainted again. "You... you... you killed them all!" Slade stammered.

"Not killed," Espionage explained. "Just back in their own universe. You see, this device separates and connects universes. Somehow, the universes of Teen Titans, the real world, Xiaolin Showdown, and Danny Phantom all collided. I just put Danny Phantom back. If I want to get that universe back, I can just take this canister..." He struggled to pull out a cylinder full of blue. "And press the reverse button. Now, monks! Get down!"

Once the Xiaolin Showdown members had braced themselves (although Chase Young and the villains opted to rush towards Espionage to destroy his new device), Espionage hit the button again. This time, a yellowish tinge came across the universe. The villains were frozen, Wuya an inch from Espionage's gun. And then that universe was separated.

He took out the Xiaolin Showdown canister, which was full of yellow. "Now... it's time to separate the Teen Titans world," he said falteringly.

"No," Raven said. "That would mean that you would be gone."

"But we'd be gone too," Empress piped up.

"And that's why I have to do it," Espionage told her.

"No, you don't," Robin denied. "We can handle the Empire... with you."

Espionage considered a moment; a foolish thing to do in the middle of a battle. At that moment, Kiryu swooped down from the skies. Espionage pulled out his laser pistol, leaving his dimensional cannon in only one hand. He fired his gun, and Kiryu blocked it like he was wielding a lightsaber. As the rest of the Titans came to take down the mech, Espionage fumbled to get the laser pistol back into his belt... and dropped his dimension gun. Gryphus instantly leaped for it and broke it under his boot. Espionage started to duel him. And another, smaller, battle began.

Interesting twist... although I am unsure if Kiryu was in the original licensing agreement, but I'll let it go for now since he's kickin' ass.

Kiryu slashed through the horde of Titans, surprisingly killing no one. Speedy notched an arrow and loosed it towards the metal swordsman. Kiryu cut it in half with his plasma sword lazily; and then it hit him. The top half of the arrow, that is. Speedy, analyzing the robot, had fired an explosive arrow. However, when the smoke had cleared, the Empire's mech emerged with hardly a dent on his armor. While the archer had Kiryu distracted, Raven soared up behind him and encased his plasma sword in dark energy. Kiryu struggled to keep his deadly weapon, but eventually, the glowing blade was wrenched from his steel hands.

Once again, Espionage and Gryphus, the bitter rivals, were engaged in combat. Having missed when he chucked the halves of his universe gun at Gryphus, Espionage was resorting to his pistol. Each parabola of green bought Espionage precious blocks as Gryphus feinted and struck, trying to find an opening. Once the general had decided he could afford to stop for a moment, he turned his head and yelled, "Empress! This isn't working!"

"I know!" came the reply. "But as long as Slade says we should continue, I'll follow his advice!"

Gryphus cursed Slade under his breath, then continued to hack away at Espionage's defenses. Then he called Phil. The dragon flew towards Espionage like a buzzard flies at a fresh carcass. This time, it was the prophetic Titan that swore as he canceled out Phil's breath. Then he remembered something that you've probably all forgotten. He concentrated on Phil, and as he did so, Phil turned involuntarily... in the middle of firing a neutron blow. Mumbo screamed as he vanished, reappearing a few feet away.

"Hey, watch where you point that thing!" the magician cried indignantly.

This gave Gryphus an insane idea. He broke out into a malicious grin as he pulled out his radio that linked to only the Empire agents, except the Empress. "General Gryphus to all units," he said. "Open fire on everyone that isn't with the Empire."

Titans villains were caught off guard as tanks that had previously followed them were trying to kill them. Bombers used up their entire stores in the space of a few seconds, because their targets were so close. Kiryu about-faced and punched out Brother Blood. The Empress, who had absolutely no idea what was going on, just went with the flow and started trying to mow down everyone that moved with grenades.

"What the hell is going on, Gryphus?" the Empress asked once she got close enough.

"Change in plans," Gryphus said. "We don't need these chumps."

"But now we have less of a chance of winning."

"Um, I think it's a little late to be discussing this."

"General, this is why you always consult me."

Then there came a cry from the other side of the battlefield. "RETREAT!" Slade screamed, and the Titans villains fled. It was just the Empire and the Titans now.

"Whaddya think?" Gryphus muttered. "Can we beat them?"

"I wouldn't risk it. There's all of them, Raven has Kiryu's plasma sword, and I just ran out of grenades..."

The General whipped out his radio again and barked, "All units retreat! You heard me, retreat."

The Empire all went off in a different direction than the Titans villains, presumably to their own rebuilt headquarters. Kiryu, however, halted. He turned, dismayed that Raven still held his sword, but he had to follow orders.

TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

Back at Titans Tower, the seven main Titans celebrated. For now, their enemies had all been beaten back. Then, there came a knock on the door.

You're fired. Kiryu's sword is built into his forearm, so Raven wouldn't just be able to take it away... Yet another reason to poke you in the eye with a really hot french fry... Altho the fight was still pretty well orchestrated... and it's about time I got rid of those chumps... All they were doing was slowing me down...

*Expands loop* Well, I assumed that you'd work with people if it meant expanding your power... And thank you for being the first person to give me an opinion on that song.

So... Gryphus... *puts on protective goggles* I just read through a little bit of CotE again... and there's nothing about the sword being built into his arm. He "brought his right arm across his chest and brandished out his plasma sword," but that's about it for the whole arm thing. But now, Kiryu's sword was apparently ripped out of its socket by Raven's powers?

Espionage rushed up the stairs, stuck his head out the window, and looked straight down. All he could see was a mass of multicolored spikes. "Enemies?" Robin asked, craning his head for a view.

"No, worse," Espionage said, going pale. "It's... it's..."

"Yes? Yes?"

"Fans," Espionage said. "Did I mention that in my universe, you guys are a show with fans?"

"No..."

"Well, now I did. Anyway, the point is that if someone opens the door, then you will be instantly swarmed by a horde of rabid fanboys and fangirls."

"Ouch."

"Yeah. Well, they don't know who the heck I am, so I might as well make an interesting appearance." With that, Espionage leaped out of the window, flying with his retained lightning powers. Most of the crowd looked up.

"Hey, who the heck is that?" one of them pondered.

Espionage summoned up all his courage, took a deep breath, then belted, "RAE/KID FLASH 4EVER!!!"

The crowd seethed. Several of them took out obscure Naruto or Code Lyoko weapons. A few of them wondered how Espionage had said 4 instead of four. And one or two of them held back, discussing if that was a good pairing or not. Suddenly, Espionage zoomed over the water towards the mainland. The mass of pink, blue, and green hair followed, using grappling hooks or boats to get across the ocean.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Meanwhile, the Empress had her own share of pink hair to deal with. Vice had almost taken the chainsaw to Kim today; everyone's tensions were a little high. Gryphus was planning large explosions, and Paranoid Guy was pretty much preparing for the apocalypse.

"Empress, I have the new reports," said Kim, who had been randomly chosen to research stuff. "Apparently, we should have crossed over with at least 3 other universes so far."

"I see," the Empress replied. "I'm still furious that Danny Phantom was taken away from me.... Ah, well. Engage the inevitable Teen Titans-Justice League crossover, and I can at least have the Flash!"

"Uh, Empress? We don't have a dimensional gun like Espionage."

"Oh... right. Well, we'll let him do it then."

TTRWTTRWTTRWTTRWTTRWTTRW

Espionage used his gun to blast some of the fans, but they were like a pack of zombies. They just kept coming. "JK, I wuz jst trying 2 keep u from stampeding teh Titans!" Espionage cried frantically. He hovered above the crowd, but they threw ninja stars and javelins at him. "Im 1 of teh main Titans! i jst came n after teh show wuz canceled!"

"Riiiight... how are we supposed to believe that?" one of the blue-haired guys said.

"Have you ever seen anyone else hover with lightning powers and shoot green energy blasts at people?" Espionage asked, forgoing the 1337 speak.

"Good point."

"So, um, what are your powers?" someone else inquired, laptop at the ready and at a forum.

Espionage relaxed. "I can see the future at will, I have telekinesis, I have this laser pistol that I can shoot things with, trap things in bubbles with, or form an energy shield around myself with. I also have lightning powers."

Everyone started muttering amongst themselves. Most of them seemed to approve of this, although some were discussing the possibility of Mary Sue-ness. Espionage started the flight back to the Tower. Maybe then he could work on repairing his universe gun. He already had some ideas about what things he would be bringing in....
