Of all of the incarnations of Scooby within the past 38 years, there have been many supporting charcters; these are what seeming come notable to mind:
Sccoby-Dum
Scooby-Dee (even though she had only one appearence, sources I've read, at least, seemed to cite her as a supporting character)
Scrappy-Doo
Flim Flam
Vincent Van Ghoul
Bogul and Weerd
Red Herring
My fav is Scooby-Dum; like Scooby-Doo he was clumsy, but always felt eager to solve a mystery, which he never did. Whose your favorite?

Of all the Scooby-Doo supporting characters, I've got to go with Scooby-Dum. Scooby-Doo interracts well with his cousin from the Hokey Fenoke Swamp. Scooby-Dee, Scooby-Doo's southern cousin, could've been given some more airtime. Scrappy-Doo, Scooby's nephew, basically caused his uncle too much trouble. Scooby-Doo has managed to sit his nephew down and read him the "riot act", as far as Scrappy's overzealous behavior is concerned. Flim Flam, I didn't care all that much for him. I don't know what to make of Vincent Van Ghoul. Scooby, however, needed some villainous spoilers in Bogul and Weerd, but Red Herring was just too much of an obnoxious bully.

I voted for Scooby-Dum, because "Doo" and "Dum" played off each other perfectly. My only regret is that they only made four such episodes.

That's true, because both Scooby-Doo and Scooby-Dum made most of their appearances together on All-Star Laff-a-lympics.

Since he has been in two Scooby Doo movies, I guess we should add Del Chillman to the list. Not saying he is my favorite Scooby Doo supporting character, just stating he is in the same league of promonet supporting charactars as any of Scooby's relatives and the human characters listed.
I don't really have a favorite, I liked most of them, though I thought having all of those Scooby relatives got to a redculous level. They should not have been so many.
I do wish we got to see some of the supporting characters from Scooby Doo Where Are You again, in some of the spinoffs, or tv movies. Characters like Johnny, Sharon, Uncle Maxwell were completely forgotten.
On a Pup Named Scooby Doo, they could easily have younger versions of Johnny and Sharon. An interesting thought I just had, after seeing Felix and Zita get together on the last episode of Kim Possible, what if Johnny and Sharon became a couple?

I don't mean to sound like a Hanna Barbara historian, but that might because Scooby-Dum was voiced by Dews Butler. Him and Don Messick were basicly the whole cast of early Hanna Barbara shows such as Ruff and Reddy, Huckleberry Hound show. They worked together a lot in the early days of HB without much help.
The two of them made up the classic team of Yogi Bear and Boo Boo. Dews voiced Yogi Bear and Don voiced Boo Boo.

I went for Red Herring cuz it took me until I was 20 to get that joke. Mainly cuz I forgot about him for years. Plus I never heard that term before.

Thats "Daws" Butler isn't it?
He also voiced several chars on the "Woody Woodpecker" joint of shows (Chilly Willy, etc.) I believe he was Snagglepuss and Funky Phantom too (I think).
BTW...I voted for "other" even though I can't name anyone else at the moment. I hated all of the Scooby Doo rip-offs other than the 1st original show.

I voted for Scooby-Dum too! I always used to think how awesome it would have been if they had given him his own show with a different gang and other mysteries to solve...or at least a cameo on one of the new shows...but oh well. maybe some day :D

If Warner Bros. made another animated Scooby-Doo adventure with Scooby-Dum involved, Frank Welker would still play Scooby-Doo, but my guess is Scooby-Dum would be voiced by Bill "Goofy" Farmer(R.I.P. Greg Burson).

I believe that both Scooby Dee and Scooby Dum were Scooby Doo's cousins. Scrappy Doo is Scooby's nephew and Ruby Doo is Scooby Doo's sister and Scrappy's mother.
