Any word on this?
I checked out Ben Ballstieri's blog (works on Foster's) and he mentioned that a new PPG special was in the works.

Yeah, it was mentioned a month or two back on someone else's blog. No new info, except that it's a half-hour special.

I find it pretty bizarre and random that they're bringing back a show that's been gone for three years just for a special. Could it be a test to see if a new season might do well?

I figure that it might be to hype up Powerpuff Girls Z.
Of course, I don't have any solid evidence or anything...

Well, the show was never technically cancelled, it was on a "long hiatus."

Actually, isn't PPG's 10th anniversary coming up soon? I know Craig said the network and him wanted to put something together to celebrate it. Maybe this is what he was refering to?

Well the interview I saw was from July 07 and Craig himself was the one who said "coming up". So just going by what he said. ^^;

I haven't heard anything about about Powerpuff Girls Z coming to American shores, let alone to CN. Airing PPGZ doesn't sound like something they'd do; but of course I have no solid evidence to say that they aren't either...I've given up trying to predict how CN execs think.

PPG Premired in 98, so that would make it 10 years next year, s i guess a 10th nniversary special..

I think the special will be shown soon. I remember seeing Mojo Jojo flash by during one of the Fried Dynamite promos.

If you want to get technical, the first "real" PPG short premiered in Februrary 1997.

Well, wjhat i'm saying is that they'll probably premrie the special around when PPG first premired as a full show.., so that's November...

Interesting that they'd do this for PPG and not the other 90's Cartoon Cartoons. Dexter and Bravo both seem like they'd warrent specials as well.

Uh, 1995 was the first, then the second short in 1996. You're wrong (not to be mean).:p

And the original Whoopass Girls short premiered in 1992, but that may not count.
