So, I was looking at my Comcast On Demand and decided to look through CN On Demand. With it's own separate category, Pee-Wee's Playhouse is on there. The first three episodes are up and rated TV-PG, like when it was airing on Adult Swim. I didn't watch them, but I assume it's the same tapes that AS used.

I guess AS realized that Pee-Wee was made for kids, even if it has references that adults would only get.

...Shouldn't it be on [as] on demand?

I've noticed the same thing that Mugen described. Very weird.

It is not animated and hasn't been played on CN, technichly, so why is it on CN On Demand?

Actually, I wouldn't mind if they aired Pee-wee on CN again....

Me either. While we're on the discussion of Demand, does anyone notice that Boomerang on Demand is getting better by adding more programming like Thundarr, The Snorks, and Johnny Bravo, while CN on Demand is getting worse by only playing pre-school shows, Code Lyoko, Storm Hawks, EENE, Tom & Jerry, and some movies?

I kind of liked it, it was fun, and kind of fun to make fun of. Gotta love him:p I would watch it again if it was on CN.

I'd believe you, just looking at the CN shows compared to those Boomerang shows.

does this mean theres no chance of it ever showing on AS again? :anime: but it would be bad if it just ended up on CN :(

It's highly doubtful that AS will bring back Pee-Wee's Playhouse anytime soon. 1) We're nearing the new fall season, so there will be several season premieres and new series premieres. There would be no reason for AS to start showing a canceled live action series that wasn't really intended to be viewed by adults in the 1st place.

2) I don't think that Pee-Wee did well enough in the ratings for AS to want to start showing it again.

but it would be bad if it just ended up on CNHow so? PWP wouldn't be any worse than the crap that CN is showing now. I actually think Pee-Wee's Playhouse would be better suited to air on CN than AS. As previously stated, Pee-Wee's Playhouse was really a kids show. The animated bits and puppety oddballs made the show a cult favorite among young adults (particularly stoners who like to watch the show while getting high), but PWP was first and foremost, a kids' show, so it would make more sense for it to air on CN than AS, which is how I felt all along. Although I doubt that CN would want PWP, since there are no new episodes to air and the series didn't blow up on AS they way the execs might have hoped that it would.

I caught that. They've got the first two episodes on CN on Demand and episode eleven on [as] on Demand.

I wouldn't exactly call them "pre-school" shows. They would have to have aired on Tickle U when that block was still around. ;)

He was talking about Gerald McBoingBoing and Harry and His Bucket Full of Dinosaurs, not the ones he listed

I'm amazed that people still use On-Demand.
