Well, that doesn't tell me much... but, kinda funny how the characters looked so similar to their animated counterparts.

I don't like Ben 10.
I don't like CN airing live action movies.
So you can bet the TV will be turned off when this airs.

Looks good, but why isn't it being released in theaters? They could've released the film in theaters if CN wanted to cash in on Transformers.

Probably because Ben 10 isn't that big yet where CN can put in theaters and have it be successful.
That and since this was made for TV, it probably look low-budget on a theater screen.

Wow, I'm kinda surprised...it doesn't look as bad as I thought.
I was worried about how they'd animate the aliens, but from seeing Heatblast at the end there, I'm not too worried about that anymore. Still kinda cheesy, but we can't expect ILM effects or anything from a CN original ;P
Mmmm, not enough for me to really formulate an opinion. I'll have to see a bit more before I can decide whether I think it looks decent or not. :p
As long as Steve Blum provides his voice talents, I'll be happy.

Snakes on a Plane was low budget and that made it to theaters but you have a point but still, CN could've used this as an opportunity to cash in on Transformers.

And the end... continues. First a live action show with poorly-animated cartoon characters, and now a live action movie based on a cartoon (that I don't even like) with, if the flame creature is any indication, low key computer generation.
Here's hoping that Cartoon Network doesn't pull an MTV on us.

What he means is that even if it's low budget, it looks like it's made for a TV premier instead. It's like saying why not the sequel made it into theaters, because they know those kinda movies don't work for a movie premier.
Watching the trailer, it looks more like a live action show instead of a movie.
Also that some low budget films had to improvise to make it work but at the same time it should look good. Here, the style looks like a cheap 90's version of a live action show like Power Rangers or TMNT the next mutation.

How are you sure it's goanna be great? Judging how CN made Re-animated i doubt Ben 10 will do good(for ratings maybe it will do well but for people to watch it again, i don't think so)
You can't blame us how campy the movie looks like. I prefer to see the animated movie which it will be awesome, too bad they can't change their minds on making more animated movies of Ben 10 than live action.

Snakes on a Plane was supposed to look low-budget. I hate how nobody understands the humour of SoaP. It's not even just that they don't like it, they don't even understand it and I hate that it irks me to no end.

Yeah, seriously.

But seriously, if an average episode of Smallville has budget of five or so million, why cannot a TV movie have at least...fifteen million?

Because Smallville is held up to a higher standard than Ben 10. Young Superman, one of our oldest and most popular properties? Throw as much money at it as you want. Live action movie based on a series of fairly average popularity that is shown on only one network? Let's be cautious with how much we spend on it.

Does NBC have more money than CW? It must. Then why was the interviewed excuse for the Heroes finale "because we didn't have enough money"? With all that Smallville does wrong, it always has impressive action sequences. Where's all the money going on Heroes?

Well, when your cast and crew is that big I suppose it's hard for a show like Heroes to to keep the bills under control...

When I first saw "Firefly" ads, I thought wow that looks like a live action of Outlaw Star. I knew I liked the idea of well made live action movies of favorite shows. Turns out Firefly was crummy and nothing like Outlaw Star, so I lost interest. There's still hope that Serenity is good.
Anyway. Ben 1o has a strong base in the characters. That's what will transfer to live action best. With todays CGI, they can make effects as good as animation, and it does knock my socks off. If the characters remain true, I'll like it.
Crap, YT is the absolute worst place to put trailer vids. That whole site needs to be ignored by animation fans. Who really wants to see people chew food and spit it out anyway. They are a non-issue if all they offer is home movies.:p

Beyond that, I'm not wasting my time with you. Get your own clue. :shrug:Alright...so I'm still having issue connecting the two things. You like live-action versions of your favorite shows, so assuming Ben 10 is one of your favorite shows, you should like a live action version of it. Great, that's wonderful - and makes sense. Yay for logic.
However you hate Firefly...which truthfully isn't a live-action version of anything other then itself.
...still not seeing the connection between that and Ben 10.

The part of Ben is being played by an actor named Graham Phillips-- totally not Dominic Janes

All I know is that the actor playing Ben looked like a younger version of the one from Re-Animated and Out Of Jimmy's Head. I can't say it looks too impressive so far, but it's better than I thought it'd look so far. It looks like they want to get all of the original Ben 10 out before December though since the Live Action movie is slated to air in November.

Was that Gwen standing in front of that crowd of kids? I keep looking for her in these teasers and that's the closest to Gwen I've seen. She has the hair, I think, just not the outfit.

First problem, I couldn't tell Gwen apart from a regular crowd.
Secondly, What the hell did they do with the hair, The only thing I can recognize is the uniform.
Thirdly, I thought the actor was Dominic Janes based on the way he looks.

If you don't count the title sequence then that has to be the shortest trailer I've ever seen. I think I got more from episode previews of Clone Wars than I did this trailer. :p
I re-watched it on slo-mo and thought it looked...better. The kid chosen for Ben looks okay. I'm surprised they gave him the signature t-shirt. Presumably, the girl is Gwen but outside of that, I've got nothin'. And isn't Lee Majors supposed to be Grandpa? As the "name" actor, you'd think he'd rate being in the trailer. Then again, maybe Cartoon Network didn't want to scare the kiddies. :D
As for the effects, the spaceships and Heatblast looked alright from what I could tell. Who was the other alien shown? Please tell me that was not supposed to be XLR8!
I am cautiously optimistic about this movie. The stories of the regular series are not that deep so as long as the movie has plenty of fightin' action, it will be decent, possibly great. I just hope this will not be two hours of Ben learning about responsibility, his feelings, or some other dramatic crap.
If they make another trailer then it should include the scene where Ben holds the Omnitrix aloft with all the energy shooting out of it like in the series' intro.
