Hello there, I got good news for you Cool McCool fans; there is a renew interest for the Cool McCool DVD collection. Perhaps this new interest could bring the series back with a new twist. I got this information from Bird boy (Toon Zone member). What do you think of a new series? After all if they can remake "George Of The Jungle," perhaps they could do the same for Cool McCool in the near future. You never know, thruth is stranger than fiction. So what you do think?

Looks like a good idea but some of the ideas from that era (Number 1 smoking and McCool using his gun as his phone) might be considered too politically incorrect.

Also does King Features Syndicate still own the rights to Cool McCool or they sold it to someone else?

I agree with you totally 100%, the cigarretes and the phone gun has to go. I think perphaps Number One should be chewing gum, since he is getting rid of his smoking habbit, but also he should also play with a control pen (it does many things like activating the ejector).

When it comes to Cool McCool rather than using his gun phone, he could use a sleeping device (like a wand), or martial art skills (sort of Jackie Chan's style). He could also continue using his mustache phone, or watch phone. What do you think? What are your suggestions.;)

As for who owns the rights to Cool McCool, is both the Hearts Entertainment, Inc., and Kings Features Syndicate, Inc.

A few days ago, I sent an e-mail to Chuck McCann (he does the Boss, Harry's brothers, and villains voices). I asked him what was his view on the possibility of a series remake, for new and old generations to enjoy. I still waiting for his answer. I'm sorry for the name typo Stephane, sometimes I think faster than I can type and vise versa. :D

Hi Cool fans. I have a rather wishful question, I hope you guys can generously answer. What changes whould you like to see, in a new version of Cool McCool?

I would change the Number One cigarrettes for a control pen device, that can do many things even ejecting Cool McCool "once in while." I think poor Number One should get off his behind, and do a little walking (a black hat always covers part of his face, leaving the nose and mouth in view).

On Cool McCool, I would suggest updating his character with "Jackie Chan's Martial Art Skills." Also, he would get new devices and disguisses.

In this new version, he wold get nervous everytime Number One clicks on his Pen device. He has a clicking wickness, it reminds him of his childhood problems. He increases his eye's size, and they would have a hypnotic pattern. His shoulders would arch as his finger loosely plays with his collar. This causes him to be super-clumpsy around Number One.

The Cool Mobile, changes into a hovercraft, and many other things sort of like a transformer.;)

Cool's younger sidekick Breezy, would change into his old childhood friend, and he would be a ghost that assist him solving mysteries and catching criminals. Similar to Casper and the Great Gazoo (from the Flinstones).

As for Friday, Number One's Administrative Assistant, she would be a tall-nerdy super-model type, always wearing the latest fashions. When ever she take off her glasses, it makes Cool's eyes large beating-heart shapes, and he will starts sweating. Off course, he doesn't admit his true feelings for her. Instead of a buck-tooth, she would have a tiny gap between her front upper teeth. After all nobody is perfect.:D

Riggs would be a tall-chubby African-American-scientist, who mumbles most of his words, when he brings new devices. He only mumbles because it irritates Number One. He is a super-genious, who enjoys getting even with Number One by miss testing the devices on him. However Cools understands him, and Number One can't.

The Owl character, would be rename "The Owl Piper." Who with his "Hoot Flute." controls owls. His minions are a set of multi-color owl's brothers. One can see faraway; the other can hear faraway. His sidekick Katty (aka Pussy cat), would be redo as his little sister, who happens to be Cool McCool's neighbor and has a crush on him.

The Jack-In-Box character, would be a frendly magician, but just like Dr. Jerkyll and Mr. Hyde has an evil personality. He happens to be another Cool McCool's nemesis and best friend. Everytime he hears "Pop sounds," he transforms into his evil-self. Oddly enough, he doesn't remembers, but Cool knows his identity. His Jack-In-The-Box altra-ego has a secret crush on Katty (the Owl's sister), which drives the Owl Piper mad whenever he takes her out for a friendly date.

The Rattler, use to be Number One's oldest nephew (an office janiter), who accidentally drank a formula as he was eating his lunch at Riggs' laboratory. As you well know, he becomes a serpent man. He controls reptiles and plants. He wants revenge on Number One, and on Cool McCool. Because, he thinks Cool became Number One's favorite. Sort of like the son of Dr. Evil in the Auston Powers movies.

Dr. Mad Cap should be rename to Dr. Cap-Freak, because he is hat batty and freakie. He use to be one of Number One's scientist but he was fire because of his hat craziness.

Greta Ghoul, she happens to be Dr. Cap-Freak's zombie wife. Sometimes she falls apart, sort of like "The Corpse Bride film. and her personality is similar to Morticia Adams (from the Adam Family).

Hurracane Harry, would control all types of weather with his robbotic sidekick, "Belle 2000." Who nows is a pretty-goofy android with a crush on her master (Hurracane Harry). Harry's crush on Friday, makes Belle very jelaous and she sometimes misses things up trying to get even with Friday. Fortunate for Friday, Cool almost always rescue her.

Harry McCool and his brothers (Tom and Dick), would be secret agents of the late 70s, who rides motorcycles. In this new version, Harry McCool was killed by the Owl's father (Bird-fink), but now his spirit enters Cool's watch and relates wise past stories.

So, what do you think of my ideas? I would love to hear your own Cool McCool versions. So don't be shy the water is fine. and share your creative genious. ;)

Those ideas are very good.

The mustache phone as well as the watch phone should be kept. And for the cigarette, maybe Number 1 can try some candy or chocolate cigarette or even a lolipop like Kojak.

Maybe a female sidekick will be a nice addition for CoolMcCool, however she shouldn't be an updated Penny Gadget who do all the missions, more akin like what like agent 99 (Barbara Feldon) was in Get Smart. No need to appear in all the episodes but she can appear often.

I love your lollipop or candy idea, it certain it will make the Number One character more funny looking. I don’t like the chocolate cigarettes, because it would give kids the wrong message. Also, the new sidekick sounds great, an updated Agent 99 with other physical attributes would add to the character. Would you make her British or French or even Spanish for characterization? What strengths, skills and weakness will she have?

It would be nice if Cool would have two in-loved females, it would make for some interesting situations. It would be like James Bond meets Three's Company. Obviously we want the audience to pick their favorite; and keep them guessing who would end up with him, at the end of the series. And of course, they would not appear on the show all the time.

On the villains department; do you have any ideas for new villains? I like the old ones, but once in a while is good to have new blood in the program. I think one of the reasons people stop watching certain cartoons, is because they get bore seeing the same thing all the time. That is why I think new villains or characters visiting (in-and-out), once in a while is worth considering.

JordanS.

P.S. Hey by the way, have you read my posting (New Cool McCool Version), I think you should post your version for the characters. That way you will introduce your great ideas to the Cool fans.

For a "99" counterpart, I taught of a mix of British and French characterizations. I keep the same group of vilains as the original

I don't have any new ideas for a new Cool McCool, unfortunately my main knowledge of him was the theme song on the CD album "TV greatest hits" and some clips on Youtube and since then I was hooked by this series

The British-French female agent idea sounds fabulous. Is too bad that you only have very limited exposure to the cartoon, am sure if you did you provably would had new ideas for the show.

I agree with the keeping the main villains in action, perhaps with new twist in order give them more interest to the latest generation viewer.

MY wish is that they'd keep the one major surviving voice regular, Chuck McCann (Bob McFadden, the voice of Cool McC. himself, died 7-1/2 years ago.)

I agree with you 100%. Is too bad that Bob past away. Like you, I think that Chuck McCann and Carol will continue to do the show justice.

It is too back when our favorite voices are no longer with us. Fortunately, there are many people who can duplicate voices and perhaps they can be use in the show.

Have you seem my ideas for a new Cool McCool version? Do you have any ideas yourself?
