The party is over on GAC (the GAC Talkback thread is linked to in his first post of this thread, thanks Kolbar!). ;)

I have made my way through Disc 1 and its an amazing set, filled with many rare and hilarious cartoons. I NEVER thought we'd see many of these cartoons on an official Universal DVD (Oswald, Swing Symphonies, etc)

This may or may not be an obvious question, but am I to understand that these are the original versions and not the syndicated versions?

Yes, this set features 100% uncut, original cartoons from Universal's original negatives with original titles and no edits.

There is only one edit on this collection and that's "Toyland Premiere".

The B&W Woody Woodpecker Halloween episode on the DVD has Kellogg's Sponsor tags intact, how come Kellogg's didn't do a rebate promotion with the Woody Woodpecker and Friends DVD set?

Will there be a second Woody Woodpecker DVD set by early 2008?

I bought the set but haven't watched it yet. Making my way through Dallas Season 7 first, but I will get to it in time. I'm looking forward to it and have heard great things about the quality of the episodes.

However, since they restored everything else on the set (including a dozen or so of the cartoons that were edited on the Columbia House discs, and previously difficult to find cut scenes to The Reckless Driver and Pigeon Patrol), it's possible that either the edit to Toyland Priemiere was done upon its 40's reissue, or that the only copy in Universal's vault was the one with the edit.
