That was a decent episode. Again, Yoruichi being a female was surprising. Ichigo and and Rukia finally met again after so many episodes. Their arguement had me laughing. It's cool to see Ichigo's fight with Byakuya start, and I look forward to continue watching it. Can't wait for next week's ep!

Woo, it's been a while since I've been able to catch Bleach on television. Glad I was home for Yoruichi's debut. I think Wendee Lee did a pretty good job for her first appearance.

As for the episode itself, Yoruichi and a sexy Byakuya in the same episode automatically gives it an A+++ grade. And a cute IchiRuki scene definitely helps.:p

And...I still hate "Happy People." But all Bleach music is subpar, anyway, aside from "Asterisk" and "D-TecnoLife."

Review: Yoruichi being a woman isn't that a shock to me, I looked up her Wikipedia article months ago. But yowza she's fine, she's my #2 favorite hot Bleach girl. Ichigo & Rukia see eachother again... And they argue, go fig. Also what exactly happened to Ganju? I hope he's not dead, he's starting to grow on me. And the Ichigo Vs. Byakuya is the fight I've been waiting for all year. This is gonna rock AND roll.

Wendee Lee nailed it on Yoruichi's human voice. If anything, that suited her well, considering all of the other adult roles she played.

So my love of Byakuya is totally rivaling my love of Renji right now, and this episode reminded me of why I liked him first. Sure Ichigo isn't being ripped to shreds yet, but Byakuya is still way to strong for him.

The episode itself was pretty entertaining, especially since it progressed a lot in several places. I figured it would take Ichigo a couple more episodes to finally make it to the tower and see Rukia (though, judging by the preview...). Her reaction to him being there was predictable ("grr, I hate you!"), but it was nice how it didn't phase Ichigo a bit. Ichigo's reaction to naked Yoruichi was really amusing to watch as well.

Oh yes. I love "*~Asterisk~ (Romantic Ver.)". It's so awesome and fitting to the music video they did for the song. It's actually from the single for it, but eh. I'm not too sure if I'm right on what you guys are talking about.

On the note about the episode, I loved it as much as I loved it in Japanese. Most of the jokes were delivered well and Wendee Lee's Yoruichi is awesome. I dunno, I just found Wendee more fitting for her than anyone else they could cast.

Curse you people for not liking Happy People. D: I love it in this part of the arc, especially when something dreadful happens right before the ending actually plays. xD It's like.. "Wait, something bad happened?!" and "Number One" isn't so bad, but I personally enjoy the instrumental version of it more, I suppose.

Either way, the one thing that really pulled me to Bleach other than the action and what not was the music. I've always loved the majority of music Bleach has used including the new stuff, so here's to more exciting stuff to happen!

Lol one of my favorite episodes but I liked it better in Japanese it felt more surprising and the jokes were better delivered I guess. I love Yoruchi's voice it kicks ass.

I would of been mad if they messed her up lol. My favorite part was Ichigos reaction to naked yoruichi. It still gets me. I also noticed they changed some of the dialouge it was different from when I first saw it. And that Ichigos kick ass song makes me laugh actually it ruins it lol.

The one thing that stands out and makes me watch Bleach is the plot twists and surpises that still come in the later future. It gets me hooked.

Ah, and all is right with the world... I've been enjoying the Soul Society arc, but one thing I really missed was the chemistry between those two. It was brief, but sweet. I read the Yoruichi reveal scene in the manga and I'm glad it translated well to the show.

Ow, poor Ganju got pretty sliced up. That first cut to his arm made me wince a bit, actually. Loved it when Ichigo flew in to save the day. It was nice to see him doing better against Byakuya, at least for the moment. I'm getting a bad feeling about what Byakuya has up his sleeve, though.

Overall, a pretty funny and intense episode.

I feel the exact same way--on all counts. I've been lucky to avoid any spoilers for Bleach, so I am frequently surprised by how things unfold.

"Happy People" doesn't really bother me with the slightly more comedic episodes like this one, but it can be a bit jarring with the more dramatic ones. The previous end title, "Houkiboshi," is my favorite of the ones we've seen thus far...

I've read Yoruichi being female in the manga. For some odd reason, I've missed he sounded male. I thought Yoruichi was female the whole time.
I’m glad Yoruichi's voice changed or otherwise it would be messing with my head, but I also feel a lot of comic moments will be loss with the voice change.

However it's just like comparing the best Bonds, Wendee Lee still remains tops.

That's why I still can't fathom why Spike chose Disturbed over Lamb of God. *shrugs* I guess they just couldn't handle the raw power that comes from songs like "Ashes of the Wake", "Walk with Me in Hell", and my personal favorite "Ruin".

Hmmm so this ends one part of the arc eh? I have to say that this is a good way to end it in some form. Also makes me glad that I try and steer away from Bleach spoilers as much as possible. I mean yeah kind of obvious Ganju would be no match for the 6th Captain and Ichigo would have to end up fighting him to save they're life, but finding out Youichi's real form is acutally some pretty hot tan skinned girl? Yeah really the voice is a definite throw off for the real not cat self. Liked him... uh her teasing Ichigo with another peak and being annoyed at having to put on clothes again. Not to mention making a pretty cool entrance at the very end. Looks like she has some relation to the 6th captain we'll probably be finding out about soon. As well as a fight which I hope Youchi shows off some good skills in. The other main point of the episode was the Ruika/Ichigo interaction which after 24 episodes is actually pretty solid. Liked Ichigo talking how Ruika should act more like a cliched rescuee to his rescuer. Wonder how everyone there will react if they here about Ichigo defeating the 11th captain since I'm sure that would prove him to be worthy of being able to defeat the 6th captian and all.

Oh but I do. But I wasn't reffering to that whole ordeal. It just annoys me that there are tons of people suffering fatal wounds in BLEACH, and none of them die. It's like nothing's permanent. For example Renji, Ikkaku, and Ichigo (and possibly others) always get saved from something or other.

Yeah I agree it seems like their invincible lol. They can hacked stabbed maybe even their head lopped off and they still are alive. It becomes predictable. Even though all of them are good characters in their own way but they should not be treated as if they were god-like though.

But then again without them the story wouldnt be that good now would it lol.:p

Wow, What An Episode!
this was definitley the most-anticipated BLEACH episode of the summer, glad i may need to re-watch this when the repeats head to this episode...
After finding out (among with all the other dubbies) that Yoruichi was a chick, i (and the dubbies) was stunned... well, now that teh cat's out of the bag, now we can focus on Mr. "Skatter Blade" Kutchki, whom just killed Ganju using is "Skatter Blade" poor Ganju, may you rest in pieces... (get it?) the 3d-scene with Rukia screaming to run away was very cool... and so did the Skatter Blade attack sequence... And, After Ganju died, Ichigo showed up (too late) and he was reunited with his pal, a few insults never hurt but you know how they both are... well, Ichi might fight again next episode (or 2, since next week Orihime and Uryu will return to grace their presense) although he did return with some fighting involved... and yes, Yoruichi stopped Mr. Kutchki's Skatter Blade using Toliet Paper (or was it plain paper), which set the stage for what's to come, overall, this was the best BLEACH episode yet, now, on to the next part of the arc!

"Reunion! Ichigo & Rukia" - 5/5 for a stellar episode and being one of the best BLEACH episodes of Summer 2007, cannot wait to see it again!

The Reunion scene is FN HILLARIOUS:D

I saw the latest episode (this one) last weekend, and it was quite interesting, if I do say so myself. I got the first episode for free in Shonen Jump a while ago, and have been meaning to get into the series for a while. I understand the basic plot - The Shinigami are warriors that guide ghosts to the afterlife, slay evil spirits, etc. Ichigo stole Rukia's powers, and now he's a Shinigami.

But outside of that, I'm pretty much lost. Could anyone give me a quick summary of what's been going on this arc? Just a sentance or two would do. Thanks in advance.

Rukia has been charged with execution, for the whole power transfer between Rukia and Ichigo. Now, the whole group has to go rescue her. Along the way, they have to fight certain Captains and Lieutenants, while one has been killed (Aizen). His murderer is unknown at this point.

One theory holds it might be Gin Ichimaru, his former lieutenant. That is only, however, speculation based on what has been presented to us by the characters.
