There was just a new Bleach commerical on Adult Swim highlighting Orhime.
What do you think the intent is? Trying to get some popularity for Orhime's situation later in the series to make a bigger impact or simply fan service?

Fan service.

Since we're talkin' about Adult Swim here...

Yes. Fan Service.

I think it's a way to counter Ani-Monday.
A subtle way of saying "You'll never beat us because we have Orihime."

The promo just seems lazy by Williams Street's standards. They only used shots from one episode, which is a shame since all of the Bleach characters change their clothes several times (at least before the Soul Society arc began). And if they wanted to go for fanservice shots, I'm sure they could fine some better ones if they looked hard enough.
But it was in widescreen, so I guess that's one good point.

And as we all know, Orihime beats that dimwit sister in Tokko hands down.

I'm cool with it, big time. It's a pity though, we haven't seen a Bleach episode where she appears in since April. But that will change soon enough. ***HINT HINT***

Well Bleach in general beats the entire Ani-Monday line-up, I would say.:p

It was lazily done. If they wanted to do a Orihime fanservice angle correctly, there are much better shots they could have used.
One of these days, they have to do a promo showing off a bunch of really bloody shots. The upcoming episodes have plenty.

The thing is if you watched Bleach for the last 2 months you didn't see Orihime either.

Yeah but were probably going to see her again soon I mean how long has it been? 12 or 10 episodes?
Adult Swim finally realizes that boobs = ratings. Nothing more.

Then, they should get off the butts and show Elfen Lied, enough boobs in that show. :P

10 this Saturday, wouldn't be bad if was if they show new episodes nightly instead of weekly.

Beefy, you may as well post the ad. I don't think a Saturday version exists.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there's only one for weekdays.

Although I want the Dub to catch up to the subs as much as the next person, I like the idea of Adult Swim having something thats going to define the block for at least the next two years. Thats long past being needed. Something has to replace Inuyasha with that role.
Besides, the nice thing about this series (as this weekend illustrated), there are a few things in this series that you don't realize till the bomb shell drops in a later episode. Its nice having the reruns so you can see how things evolved.

That and Viz pretty much dubs things in month worth batches before giving them to CN to air. It's been that way for Naruto and Bleach at least. But sometimes they dub things behind the scenes well in advance before they air on CN or end up on Jetstream.
At any rate if they did air the premieres on weekdays you'd have a scenario of a "season" of new episodes (probably 26 or less) then several reruns of those until the next batch is ready. Just like how it worked for Inuyasha and DBZ over the years. You'd get the same amount of episodes each year reguardless but if Viz had done that then you wouldn't have been watching Bleach on Adult Swim until early in 2007 rather than Fall of 2006 and we probably would have only seen 26 episodes by now. I for one am glad that isn't the case even if we'd surely have 52 episodes down by the end of the year (maybe more). As by the end of this year we'll have more than 52 down. I have no problem with reruns on weekdays but unless there's a large batch of premieres to run and a big wait afterwords wont be a problem then I prefer premieres be once or twice a week baring special events.
