Siberia? Who wants to go there except natives to that region, reindeers, and Soviet political prisoners?
Also, this episode begins the Russia arc.

the boring parts are over now, this is where the show stays consistently good... at least until the last arc.

That's really going to throw me, since I've spoiled myself watching the fourth opening, which makes the last arc look really good. :\

Last time: My Date With The Yakuza's Daughter.
Saya looks cute in that coat.
INCEST!!!
"Dere be no signs of Chiropterans, mon. It be perfectly save ta let ah guard down."
Dig this newest accent. Two parts Molotov Cocktease, one part Natasha Fatale.
Nice cello music as Haji and the brothers bond.
Now I see why Julia and Elizabeta didn't want to go out with those two guys. ;)
Throw Saya From the Train. Coming to theaters this holiday season.

There goes a naked, bitten female out of the train.

Dude, Hagi is awesome. I love the little Riku bonding moments.
I really enjoy Saya as a character, which is rare because I don't usually have a favorite female in anime, but she is pretty cool. Some thing about her I like.
ohh cliffy cliffy.
I actually want to see next weeks episode alot now.

Was okay. Loved the cleavage. The naked chick thrown from the train resembled the Russian chick with her hair down.. so maybe the one we saw at the end was the imposter that brought the Cheropterans on board and what not. The way Saya killed the first one was pretty awesome.

Oh Haji--no respect for people sleeping on the train, you cello maniac.

Hmm, Haji and Riku seem to be developing a Piccolo/Gohan (wow, second time I mentioned DBZ tonight) relationship.
Anyway, was it me, or were the main characters more lively in this episode than in any other episode before it? It seemed like everyone was bursting with personality. Good episode, btw. Lighthearted and comedic moments took up the first half, while the serious, action-packed fights filled up the second half. And Jamacian Man (I'll get these names right before the end of the series, I swear) has eyes!

Really? I thought it was all too obvious. That "nice" old-lady was up to no good. She stole the Russian woman's appearance, throwing the real one naked and vampire-bitten from the train, then turned those two guys into chiropterans.
It's made extra obvious by the ring she's wearing. The people on Team Saya have red jewerly. The old woman had a blue-green jem ring. The Russian woman at the end had gone form having red jewelry to a blue green jem ring.

You win the "obvious" test when it seems everone else just failed. :p

This series is really growing on me, the characters seemed kinda bland at first but they're all being fleshed out quite nicely. Also as was mentioned, Saya was completely adorable in that coat.
I really disliked the new opening song at first, but after seeing it a few times I'm starting to like it a bit more...it goes good with the animation at least.

I'm also liking the ending. It's so gospel. :D
The only thing I really like about the opening is Saya's little Zen thing she does with the fingers:

LOL at Kai getting stuck with Haji.

I actually caught all that, which is a first since I normally miss these kinds of clues.
Moral of the episode: don't trust old ladies.
And even after getting run over by a train, chiropterans can still cause trouble.

I had a feeling that old woman was bad news ever since she kept popping up constantly. First at the beginning, then when they were eating. She kept asking suspicious questions too, like about where they were going and who they were.

You know, its normal to ask where someone is going and what they do for a living when your both traveling. Though at this point saya and company sould be paronoid towards stranger and with good reason.

This was a good one. It was light-hearted early on, but it took a real dark turn in a hurry.
Does anyone think the old lady shape-shifted into the Russian lady, or is it just me? I spotted Russian lady wearing the old lady's blue ring right after the commercial break.
I hope Riku lives through this one. I have a really bad feeling about him for some reason.

Man, I didn't even notice the ring thing. I didn't have a clue that the old lady was a bad guy until after I came into this thread. Conan Edogawa would be disappointed in me.

That's strange, i thought the ring was kind of obvious with the hair flick. i came home a couple a minutes before that, and even though i had to rewatch it the next day, i remember thinking what was that hair flip for and what's with the rock on her hand???

Okay to start off this new arc we get a new member of the team killed off in the same episode, some old mysterious women who Riku helps who 99% chance is one of the top villians of this arc, a few battles with Hollows on the train causing the group to seperate and Saya lost somewhere screaming out. Which makes for a pretty decent ep. I mean like a real train engine it took awhile to get going and getting to the destination is more worthwhile the ride itself, but certainly more interesting then the last episode anyway.

It's Chiropteans, Hollows are in Bleach.
And, yeah this was a good episode! :P
