Welcome to the Anything Else thread! This week, AS expands to seven nights a week, with the takeover of Friday nights. Also, AS loses the 10:30 slot and gives it back to CN. How will Friday's ratings compare to Saturday's ratings?

Perhaps I'm being a bit too nitpicky. But still, thanks for taking the time to write up the schedule. It's very much appreciated.
You know, I wonder if AS is going to do something special for July 4th this year. They had a few custom bumps last year that were pretty good.

I think that was actually referring to Orel's homemade movie, not the actual episode itself. Then again, I haven't seen the episode yet, so maybe the whole episode is the movie.

So 384,000 college students turned on the TV at 11 to watch Futurama, then some of them went out to get a couple of beers, missed Shin-Chan, came back, sat down and watched Bleach, then 2000 of them called a friend to watch Blood+ with them. Then they fell asleep for an hour or two, woke back up, and had a party while 2 a.m. Futurama was on.

Since this is the ratings post, I'll respond. The good situation of Ani-Monday is there's nowhere to go but up. Sci-Fi's 18-34 ratings during the early week are very very low, so if Ani-Monday gets 200,000 18-34, that's a huge increase.

I never said it wasn't doing well. I am saying that it almost has no choice but to do well. Sci-Fi's 18-34 ratings in that timeslot across the week was previously a 5-digit number. If Manga says it's doing well, I'm sure they're telling the truth. The difference is that because Sci-Fi has lower ratings across the board, their idea of well might be AS's idea of mediocre. The block will survive or fail based on the network's standards for good and bad ratings, and no one else's. Here's a comparison: If a show on Fox primetime gets under 4 million viewers, that's signing the show's death warrant, but 4 mil is big for cable.

First, Family Guy has been added to AS Video. Unfortunately, it's in clip form. Check out over 200 clips right here (http://www.adultswim.com/video/?section=Comedy&collectionID=8a25c3920eaf5fa6010eaffb99c438bf).
Also, a life-sized Gigantor statue (http://blog.newsarama.com/2007/06/25/life-sized-gigantor-memorial-to-be-erected/) is being built in Japan. It will be 60 feet high and cost over 1 million dollars to construct.

This is very odd. What with all the ATHF stuff.

It feels kinda weird having AS on Friday. I'm so used to CN, that it takes some time to adjust to it.
I completely forgot AS on Fridays even started this week.

You know, maybe if I post the last two weeks worth of SciFi's Top Ten ratings it might give some hints to what sort of ratings they get to begin with.
Ice Spiders 1.6
ECW 1.4
Hannibal 1.4
Ghost Hunters 1.3
Silence of the Lambs 1.2
Lake Placid 1.2
Stargate Atlantis 1.2
Stargate SG-1 1.2
Destination Truth 1.1
Red Dragon 1.1

ECW 1.7
Alone in the Dark 1.4
Ghost Hunters 1.3
Stargate Atlantis 1.2
Destination Truth 1.1
Resident Evil 1.2
Star Trek Enterprise 1.1
Stargate SG-1 1.1
Clive Barker's Plague 1.0
They Are Among Us 1.1

This last week of ratings covers the week Solid State Society aired.
For those interested, SciFi posts their ratings on Mondays (usually 12AM sharp, unless there is a Holiday and then they often just skip posting them ). They are also about two weeks behind the current week with the ratings.
To really know if Ani-Monday's is doing well by SciFi's standards we'd probably have to know more about what SciFi is expecting, ratings-wise from the block. Two other clues would be if one, or more, of the shows show up in the Top Ten list or if SciFi puts out a press release on the block touting the ratings. So far the latter hasn't happened, though we may be hearing more on the ratings in general with SciFi Fridays starting to air new shows. As to the former, those interested just need to start following the Top Ten ratings because that tends to be the only ratings SciFi puts out on a regular basis.

The current airing of Peter's Two Dad that is on right now fixed the problem from the earlier airing of the episode that the Aqua Teen Movie things.

Well, so much for .hack//Roots. CN had plenty of time to finish it before [as] took over Friday nights.
I'm waiting to get both the weeknight and Saturday versions of the new Bleach promo before uploading them.

Same here. It does feel a bit odd.
I wouldn't be surprised if the kids ratings for this Friday are high.:p
Also in other ratings news, compared to around the same time last year, the 6-11 year olds watching AS has increased by 11%. Yeah, I'm sure AS isn't happy about that.

Do they really care about younger viewers? It's not really their problem if kids join the mafia or become drug dealers because they watched TV-MA shows at a young age. In fact AS would probably laugh at it. Like that one bump when they said that ACT and SAT scores were lower than ever, and that they hoped they helped to accomplish that.
