Hey guys! If you read my previous version of Virtual Realm, here’s the new updated version of it. I redone this story because the Code Lyoko part of the story didn’t quite follow the plot of CL’s 4th season. For you new readers, this story is a Teen Titans crossover with Antefilm’s and Moonscoop’s Code Lyoko, another Cartoon Network tv series, which is now playing it’s 4th season every Tuesday with a new episode all summer long! lol.
Now that I got a job, it's gonna take some more time to come up with chapters than it did last time, so please be patient.
This fanfic is rated T for Teen, ‘cause there will be some cuss words, but not too much! There’s also a couple scenes that are rated NFSI. NFSI=Need for Speed Insanity!:D Enjoy everybody, and feel free to comment and criticize my fanfic.
Teen Titans: Virtual Realm (Crossover)---v2.0
Chapter 1: Unlucky 13
8:00 p.m. Pacific Time (remember, Jump City is believed to be in California)
“Heeellllooooo…..is anybody there?” Beast Boy asked with a shaky voice, pointing a flashlight down a dark and murky alley.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Jump City was a very large city, perfect for the villain that ran from the police. But not for the villain who was running from the Teen Titans, since these super-powered teens were top-notch experts at fighting crime. This particular villain, who was fat, had long orange hair, wore a gray trench coat, and had an obsession with television (but not as bad and superior as Beast Boy’s) was running through a warehouse district outside of town. Control Freak was his name, and while running from the Teen Titans after he escaped from jail he was looking around frantically for a certain warehouse. Damn, where the hell is it?!, he thought to himself. Two more blocks of running, and Control Freak finally found what he was looking for: Warehouse #13. He chuckles to himself while rubbing his hands together and walks towards the warehouse.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
“So…” Robin began, interviewing a prison guard while Cyborg was looking for evidence in Control Freak’s prison cell. “You were still asleep when Control Freak broke out?” Robin raised an eyebrow in question: When did the police force start hiring such idiots like this guy? While the boy wonder was in deep thought about this disturbing question, the guard fell to the floor, sleeping again. Robin became very irritated at the guard’s laziness when his robotic friend Cyborg called him over.
“Yo Robin. I think I got something.” Cyborg holds it up, what looked like a piece of metal, for Robin to see. They quickly speculated that it was a piece of Control Freak’s dual-bladed light saber, a piece of the handle to be exact.
“But I thought ALL his weapons were confiscated….” asked Robin in confusion, just as a second guard walked in.
“They were, but apparently he had an extra light saber hidden away in a place that our state-of-the-art detectors couldn’t pick up,” the second guard felt embarrassed about this, especially in front of a superhero who was known to be very strict about everything that had to do with criminals.
“He probably hid it in a place that I don’t even wanna think about….” Cyborg cringed at the thought that came to his mind. (trust me readers, ya don’t wanna know, lol). Suddenly his communicator crackled to life, with Beast Boy’s voice coming out of it.
“Yo, Cy, I think we found ‘em.” said the green titan over the communicator.
“Good job guys, we’ll be right there. Cyborg out.” Cyborg broke the connection with his green friend. “Well, it’s time to kick some butt! BOOYAH!!”
-----------------------------------------------------------------
“So, this is where Control Freak is hiding,” said a monotone voice that belonged to Raven. Her and Starfire floated down to earth next to Beast Boy. The three titans were standing in front of Warehouse #13. What led them there was a maniacal laugh let out by Control Freak, loud enough to be heard several blocks away where BB was. He ran to the location of the laughing and called Raven and Starfire to the scene, and then alerted Cyborg of their find.
“I am feeling that this will be a….semi-victorious fight for us.” Starfire was referring to the fact that it was only the three of them now, and wasn’t sure they would make it without Cyborg and Robin for the time being. Control Freak was indeed a complete dork about television, video games, and other electronics, but he was a challenging (yet annoying) adversary. All the Titans would be needed to take him down.
“Don’t worry Star!” exclaimed Beast Boy with enthusiasm. “We’re defeated him before. Besides, we have my infinity knowledge of TV that we used on him last time.”
Raven simply rolled her eyes. “But this time we’re not in television, and this is for real.”
Beast Boy glared at Raven before walking up to the entrance. His hand was in mid-air to open the door before he completely froze at the sight of the warehouse’s number on the door.
“Beast Boy, what is wrong? Your enthusiasm of catching Control Freak has suddenly vanished.” Starfire was behind Beast Boy with a concerned look on her face and a hand on his left shoulder.
Raven walked up beside the petrified titan and waved a hand in front of his face, attempting to wake Beast Boy from his frozen trance. When that didn’t work she simply gave him her infamous slap in the back of his head, which snapped BB back to reality.
“Dude! What was that for!” The astonished titan began rubbing the back of his head.
“Do you mind telling us what’s going on?” Raven’s voice was filled with annoyance, but deep down when she wouldn’t show it, she was concerned as much Starfire, who was now laughing at BB with her usual Tamaranian giggle.
“Unlucky 13.…” Beast Boy began, then was interrupted by a certain villain inside the warehouse.
“I, Control Freak, have invented the most ingenious Dimensional Portal ever!” As soon as that was said, green lights turned on inside the warehouse, giving of an eerie glow underneath the entrance door.
“I guess that’s our cue.” Raven opened the door and went in first. Her dark hooded figure became a silhouette in the green light, hovering in the air, her hands starting to glow with a black aurora as she prepared to attack at any moment.
“Let us defeat Control Freak and put him behind the bars of prison once and for all!” Starfire’s fists and eyes glowed a bright green as she flew in after Raven.
“Dudes!….Hello, unlucky 13!” Beast Boy stood at the entrance, waving his hands wildly in the air and shouting at his teammates. A black aurora engulfed the green changeling as Raven pulled him into the warehouse, with Beast Boy screaming but unfortunately it was encased inside the black aurora, being unheard.
----------------------------------------------------------------
It would take 20 minutes for Robin and Cyborg to reach the others and engage in battle with Control Freak, for the fact that the two groups were on opposite sides of town. Both the boy wonder and robotic titan had just left the prison after doing the rest of their investigation procedures. They were riding in the T-Car, otherwise Robin would’ve been riding his motorcycle if it hadn’t broken down.
“I got their location, Warehouse #13 on the other side of town.” Cyborg had a lock on BB’s, Starfire’s, and Raven’s communicators which showed up as read dots on a screen on the dashboard.
“Good. We’ll be ready to take Control Freak down,” Robin replied. He began looking over his gadgets, making sure every one of them was in working order. He was always prepared for everything, but he just wanted to be sure. Robin turned to his partner, anxious to get to the fight.
“Uh, Cyborg. Could you….” Robin began.
Cyborg looked back at his spiky-haired friend, a grin developing on his face.
“Way ahead of you on that one.” Cyborg slammed on the accelerator. The T-Car’s speedometer jumped to 121 mph, with Cyborg yelling a loud “booyah!” out the window. Both titans were sucked into their seats as if they were going Mach 1. Of course, Cyborg was VERY obsessed with his “baby” and wanted to try out the new feature he added to the T-Car. Cyborg reached for the shifter and popped the top off of the stick control, revealing a red button labeled: Nitrous Oxide. Robin new exactly what that meant. His eyes went wide in fear.
“Uh, Cyborg….” Robin was starting to regret he even suggested putting the new feature in the car in the first place.
“Hang on Robin! This is gonna get heavy!” Cyborg started to reach for the red button. His thumb was an 1/8 of an inch away from sending the T-Car off like a rocket when police sirens could be heard behind them.
“Ahh man,” Cyborg slammed on the brakes, sending him and Robin flying forward and hitting the windshield, lucky that they didn’t fly through it but only made a long crack appear, running from the driver’s side to the passenger’s side.
Both titans got back in their seats, prepared to face the unnecessary consequences of their actions, unnecessary because they were authorized to go that fast when on the job. They would’ve been able to go up to 200, the maximum speed of the T-Car, if it hadn’t been for Beast Boy’s reckless driving last week. Robin was the first to break the dead silence, other than the sirens of the police car that was now parked behind them.
“Ooww, my head.” Robin rubbed the top of his head, wincing in pain. He could’ve swore he cracked his head open.
Cyborg was the second to speak. “Next time we do this we’re goin’ to the Autobahn. But what I don’t get is why we got pulled over. We’re authorized to go that fast when it comes to our job, right Robin?” Cyborg was confused, despite the fact he hit his head against the windshield, which was made of a special thick safety glass.
“That’s what I thought too.” Robin pondered again for the second time that night while footsteps of a policeman approached the T-Car.
--------------------------------------------------------------
“Yes! I’ve done it!” Control Freak leaped in the air with sheer joy. He began rubbing his hands together, talking to himself about how to put his plan into action. “My Dimension Portal will allow me to virtualize into the internet, thus giving me the chance to expertly hack into any computer in the world!” For the almost billionth time tonight he began laughing his shrilly laugh.
“Dude, that laugh is getting SO annoying! Now it’s gonna give me nightmares for a freakin’ week!” exclaimed Beast Boy, who along with Raven and Starfire, were standing a few feet behind their adversary. The three titans found themselves in a room lit with an eerie green light. In the room was three scanners that were hooked up to a supercomputer by wire. The designs and functions were similar to the machine that Control Freak used to get himself and the Titans inside television, but this was more advanced. The three titan’s arrival startled Control Freak, but he quickly gained composure.
“Impressed?” Control Freak wore a grin of satisfaction on his face. “It’s the advanced version of my machine that transported me into television. I bet you don’t even know what it’s real purpose is!”
Raven answered with a small grin on her face, more than happy to prove him wrong on that last comment. “It allows you to go into the internet so you can hack into any computer in the world.” The villain’s jaw dropped with shock and disappointment. “And no, we’re not impressed.” Raven finished her sentence with her usual emotionless expression.
“Stop this now, or we will have to use force!” Starfire, being the gentle Titan of the team, always gave her opponents the opportunity to give up, even though the villains chose the hard way.
“Cooooool….” Beast Boy ran up to the supercomputer and began messing with the keyboard, typing whatever random things came to his mind. At the sight of BB’s obliviousness Raven slapped herself in the face.
“Does this thing have the ultimate version of Mega-Monkeys 4 on it?” Beast Boy was eager to know the answer.
“Why, yes it….hey! Quit messing with that!” Control Freak ran over to his precious invention and slapped Beast Boy’s hands off the keyboard.
“Oww! Watch it!” hollered the green titan.
“Very well Titans….” Control Freak pushed the Enter button on the keyboard, not thinking to fix the mess BB made in the computer. A female voice came from the computer, saying “now connecting to Lyoko….” This threw the villain into confusion for a brief second.
“Lyoko?! Must be some lame-a** chess club website or something. Oh well, who cares!” Control Freak typed in a code which caused on of the scanners to open. He ran towards the open scanner, but not before Starfire and Raven attacked him with a series of star bolts and black energy. Then, when the heroes least expected it, the villain surrounded himself in an orange ball-like energy field by pressing a button on his wrist band. The titan’s attacks failed to even scratch him.
“You see Titans! You can’t stop me from attempting to destroy the internet!” Control Freak lowered his shield and got inside the scanner, quickly before more attacks were thrown at him. “Hasta la vista Titans!” he yelled before the sliding doors of the scanner closed. There was a whirring sound and then no sound at all. The doors of the scanner opened, revealing nothing but thin air inside it.
Beast Boy ran up to the scanner, astonished at what he saw. “Dude, where the hell did he go?”
Raven walked over to view the computer screen. She spotted a green triangle moving across a grid-like landscape. “There he is right there. All we have to do is type in the code that Control Freak typed, get in those scanners and follow him. The way we got out of television from his last teleported machine will probably be the same way we get out of the internet.”
“Agreed. I shall contact Robin and inform him of our situation.” The Tamaranian contacted Robin on her communicator. On the communicator screen appeared a rather upset Robin, with a sulking Cyborg in the background. Cyborg had his arms and head lying on the steering wheel while the policeman was writing on a speeding ticket.
“Robin, Control Freak has managed to get into the internet with a computer and scanner. We were unable to apprehend him,” Starfire reported with disappointment in her voice. She noticed the scene on the other end of the communication. “Robin….is everything alright with you and Cyborg?”
“Yeah, pretty much. Do whatever you guys can to stop Control Freak. We’ll be there shortly.” The policeman in the background handed Cyborg a speeding ticket before Robin broke the connection.
Starfire put her communicator and turned to Beast Boy, who was now sitting at the computer with Raven standing at his right-hand side. Starfire walked over to join her friends.
“Beast Boy, you were the closest to Control Freak when he typed the code. Do you remember what he typed?” Starfire asked.
“Workin’ on it right now Star.” BB sat and began thinking, and thinking, and thinking, until a light bulb lit up over his head and an “ah ha!” was spoken from Beast Boy. He typed the code, which was “master of television” for obvious reasons. Raven was surprised even Beast Boy remembered the code, no matter how simple either.
“You remember what he typed? Amazing….” Raven said in a sarcastic tone.
“Yeah, pretty much….” Beast Boy ignored the remark and pressed the Enter button. This time all three scanners opened up, taunting the titans to enter them.
“Yes, I’m a genius!” Beast Boy ran to one of the scanners to go in.
“Wait Beast Boy.” Starfire’s voice coaxed BB to poke his head out to see what was going on. “We should leave our communicators for Cyborg and Robin to find.”
Raven agreed. “She’s right, so that they’ll have confirmation that we were here.”
Beast Boy ran out of the scanner. All three titans put down their communicators on the computer chair and began running towards the scanners. Each titan got into a scanner before the doors closed, encasing them in a narrow, hallow space shaped like a cylinder standing upright. There was another whirring sound, and then stopped before all the scanners opened up. The only evidence of the titan’s existence in the room was their communicators on the computer chair.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
“Tsk, tsk….” The police officer began writing out a speeding ticket for Cyborg. “You Teen Titans should know better than this,” he said with a cocky attitude. He knew damn well that these superheroes he pulled over can go as fast as they wanted during their job, but as long as it was close to 120 mph. But since he had a bad day, he’ll just write them up for going 1 mph over their limited speed limit. He tore the piece of paper off the tablet and handed it to Cyborg.
“Thank you officer….” Cyborg took the ticket and mumbled a “jerk” under his breath.
The officer caught on. “What’d you say son?”
“Nothin’….” replied Cyborg as innocently as possible. The titan once again slammed the accelerator to EXACTLY 120 mph and put it in cruise control, leaving the policeman in the dust.
------------------------------------------------------------------
On the way to the warehouse once again, Robin spoke up. “Starfire said that Control Freak got away inside the internet. They should be on his heels when we get there.”
“That’s gotta be the greatest news I’ve heard so far tonight.” Far enough away from any policeman’s radar gun, Cyborg took off the cruise control, put it to EXACTLY 121 mph, and put the cruise control back on. The T-Car sped across the pavement, towards it’s destination.
Author's Note: What will BB, Raven, Starfire, and Control Freak find in this "Lyoko" of which I speak? lol. Will they catch Control Freak in time? Is Lyoko really a lame-*** chess club website? How will the three missing Titans and the villain make it back? You shall see, you shall see....
Now that I got a job, it's gonna take some more time to come up with chapters than it did last time, so please be patient.
