Well, here comes another food thread.
Personally, I've never been a big Sushi fan, although I don't hate it.

I used to hate shrimp aswell, but about 5 years ago, I started to love it. Now a food everybody else likes that I don't has got to be eggs. I just can't eat eggs, and being inclose distance of someone eating them can even make me gag. I'll eat certain food that uses eggs as an ingredient like cake of course, because they are so mixed into the food you can't even taste or tell if they are there. However, anything else eggwise such as sunnyside up eggs, scrambled eggs, and omletes, forget it.

I couldn't stand shrimp at one time because it always left a disgusting taste in my mouth.
I've grown to enjoy shrimp a lot now then back then, but it depends on how its cooked.

Ugh, I don't like salad, and potato salad either. I also hate ketchup. I will not eat anything with ketchup, or I won't eat a hamburger or sandwhich with a lot of certain foods such as tomatos, lettuce, pickles (I like pickles regularly, but not on my burgers), onions, mayonaise, mustard (I'll eat on a hotdog and french fries and chicken) etc.

Shrimp is awesome, don't hate on it.
I hate almost all vegetables, so any ones that people like (carrots are popular, aren't they?) would count.
I also hate Bannanas, French Toast, Turkey, Chicken(I like Fried Chicken, but not chicken prepared in other ways, and even then I only like the dark meat), and most fish. Those are all somewhat popular.

I also hate ketchup.I don't really like ketchup because of how vinegar-y it is. Same reason I can't stand some hot sauces. I want to taste the food I'm putting the sauce on, not the vinegar in the sauce.

With the exception of French toast with syrup, I can't stand eggs.
I also don't care for birthday cake. Sometimes, I don't see how people can eat this, as it seems like I'm eating a ton of frosting instead of cake. I'd rather eat a slice of unfrosted cake, instead.

To this very day, I wince in pain at the very sight, smell or mention of cheese. Chalk it up to a bad, repressed childhood experience or something. =/

I also cannot stand any type of fish. Certain seafood is alright; like scallops or baked clams... But fish... >_>
I also hate gravy, ketchup, mustard, and barbecue sauce.

Haha!! Yeah, I always found that they just ruin the taste of stuff for me. Ketchup on fries? Barbecue sauce on my hamburgers? Gravy on my mashed potatoes? Yuck! Completely throws it off for me.
But I love cake. Heck, sometimes we buy one from the store just to have it as a snack when there's not even a birthday coming up. :D I love chocolate bundt cake. Mmmmmm!!
Eh, I can eat pretty much anything that's billed as food by my local standards.

It's probably the cheap peanut butter you're using. Skip the skippy and buy some Smucker's all natural peanut butter. Also, maybe you need a different kind of jelly. There's so many different kinds. There's cherry, strawberry, pineapple, blueberry. Mmmmm...I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

My mom tells me I'm a picky eater but then I look at a large majority of the people I know and tell her to be thankful I'm not as picky as them
Anyway, I dislike dark chocolate (too bitter), coconut, tomatoes (and yet like ketchup and salsa), raspberries, blueberries, cherries, squash, rhubarb, onions, mustard (though I seem to be acquiring a taste for it), BBQ sauce (bad experience of smelling it way too early in the morning), hot dogs, bratwurst, peppers, grits (which is terrible for a southern girl), and yeah...
I'm willing to try just about anything once but if I don't like it, I don't like it.

Grapes Tried to eat them a few times, but they're so squishy and juicy - gross

Bananas It makes me sick - literally.

Broccoli and Cheese- I like broccoli by itself or in something like chinese food, but broccoli in cheese fondue or a cheesy-based soup= yuck.
Beef, pork- I live in a pollo-vegetarian household, and even the rare times I do eat these, they don't sit well in my stomach.
Carrots- I don't like the taste.
Dark Chocolate- Like another user said, too bitter.
Chocolate Ice Cream- It just doesn't taste good to me.
Milk- I never liked it that much. It always tasted bad to me.
Cherries- I don't like the taste. I don't like many cherry-flavored products, either.
Mustard- Tastes bad.

I despise beef, everything about it just comes off as filthy...and now I couldn't eat it if I wanted to, because a lifetime of avoiding it leaves me unable to properly digest the garbage. It's strange, because I can try other meats I've never had before and not get sick...it must be due to one of the nasty chemicals they put into commercial beef.
However I cannot believe anyone would hate chocolate, even as a coating on something else. It's such an indescribably perfect, wonderful, heavenly taste and texture. Mankind weeps before its feet. I like it best warm and partially melted. I won't eat it any other way if I can help it. Peanut Butter M&M's heated in the microwave are something I could easily kill myself eating.
Course, chocolate varies WILDLY in flavor from country to country. Some people are disgusted by American chocolate but go nuts for U.K. chocolate like everyone else.
Fried spam. Everyone else I know hates it with a passion.I wouldn't say that's a food everyone else likes unless you live in Hawaii (where even Mcdonalds and Burger King serve Spam). In Britain and most of America, spam is considered notoriously disgusting, low-class "mystery meat". The fact that I like a small, cold slice of it now and then on the side of a real meal is already considered bizarre by most of my friends and family and they can't stand to see me bite into it.

I don't like strawberries. It's not really the flavor, but the texture of the strawberry itself. It's all prickly on the outside, and squishy on the inside. Not a fan of raspberries, either. I don't usually go for most vegetables.
For all of those hating on shrimp: you hurt me. :crying:
Shrimp is awesome, especially with a little marinara sauce and lemon juice. However, what I reeaally love are clams on a half shell...also with the same condiments. I drool just thinking about it..... <3

I do not like peanut butter or peanuts. Never have, even when I was a kid.
I can tolerate small amounts in recipies, but I would never eat a peanut butter sandwich or a handfull of peanuts.
I also have major problems wih mayonnaise. I will tolerate it in chicken salad (I use as little as possible when making it), but other than that will not go anywhere near it. Just the thought of going to the store to buy mayo has been known to squick me.
At least I know where this comes from. When I was a kid, my mom used Miracle Whip, but called it mayo. I didn't know the difference, and still associate one with the other. Miracle Whip is one of the most vile, disgusting substances known to man. It smells horrible, and tastes even worse. My Mom loves it, for some reason.

Yeah, I used to hate mayonnaise unless it was on tuna. But I don't mind it anymore. I really don't hate any foods really. All the food mentioned so far in the posts I have eaten it before, and either haven't minded it, or I love it. I'm not a big fan or caramelized foods (like popcorn) though. But I like the syrup LOL.

Not a big ketchup person. There was a kids book I saw once called "I love ketchup sandwiches" that just killed my appetite for ketchup for the longest time.
Also not a big fan of anything with peanuts. I dont think its true allergies, because I don't keel over or get rashes or such, but it tickles the throat and just makes me queasy.

Barbaqued ribs 'cause the barbaque sauce gives me a nasty headache for some weird reason....only thing I'll eat that has to do with barbaque is that smoked salmon marinated in a light pineapple barbaque sauce at the Famous Dave's Barbaque resteraunt in Billings, MT. You need to mix something else in with the eggs, such as mushrooms and cheese. Peppers and onions are also great in eggs, as are sausage and cheese. Also, you should try making the eggs plain and then pouring strawberry dessert topping on top of them. Delicious!
