Figures they'd toss Cheese on the cover for Season Two, the second weakest of the Foster's seasons. (IMHO, Season 3 is the worst, then Season Two, Then One, Then Four Would be best, with five shaping up to be really good as well). I also note it comes out the second day as Avatar Season Two, as well as the anniversary of you all know what.

Even though I hoped they wouldn't, I knew they'd make Cheese the central focus of the Season 2 cover.

Yawn at the cover artwork I must sayAs if you could do a better one yourself.
I also note it comes out the second day as Avatar Season Two, as well as the anniversary of you all know what.I assume you mean the same day... but, the whole September 11th thing is being blown out of proportion. There are people whose birthdays are on September 11th, and even they know better. After all, in the future, you're not really going to care when it dropped, so long as it did.
Cheese takes up most of the cover. FiguresActually, I'd say the whole Foster's: The Complete Season 2 splash takes up more of the cover than Cheese.

Cheese: "I Like Chocolate Milk"
LOL, Classic...
BTW: To The Mods, Combine The DVD Discussion (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=190538) Post With This One, it should help.

But compared to the rest of the show's dialogue, not all that sophisticated.

I'm positively sure that's not the final cover. The Season One cover was re-designed by Craig into that awesome Store Wars-based double cover, so I'm guessing the same'll happen here. Cheese will stay, though.
And as awful as every other Cheese appearance has been, that shouldn't keep you from enjoying Mac Daddy, which in my opinion is still one of the greatest episodes the show has ever had.
"That's what they ALL say!"

Starsky was right on them redesigning the cover and it still having Cheese. But now it JUST has Cheese and that racer. That's not really an improvement at all. They need to have Mac, Bloo and the REGULARS on the cover, because you don't have guests dominate the actual series cover art. I mean what, does this mean we'll get Fred Fred Burger whenever Billy and Mandy gets DVD releases or what?
... BTW I still think "Mac Daddy" is a rather weak Season Two ep. I'd rather they have something from "Frankie My Dear" on the cover, one of the best Foster eps and espically from Season Two eps.

Agreed. Nothing wrong with having Cheese on the cover. In fact, I love having him on the cover. But still, look at all the empty space on the cover they have to work with. They could have at least given us Mac and Bloo trying to keep the kart from rolling down the hill.
In any event, at least give us Eduardo, Coco, or SOMEBODY else before cramming Cheese down our throats...so to speak.

Cripes, he's on the front and the side? I bet he's on the back, too...
I was just mildly peeved at his existence before, but now I hate Cheese with a passion. Do Craig and Lauren still visit Toon Zone on occasion to answer our questions? Because if so, I have some rather radical suggestions for them.

I do liek this cover better than the other(I like Mac Dadddy and the Cheese eps) but I wish that they could've included more characters on the front(I love that pic with the kart tho)

We may not like it - but you atleast have to understand the reasons for doing it. Cheese is undoubtedly one of the most popular characters to come out of that season with kids who are in the demographic Fosters (and by proxy the DVDs) are aimed at. Regardless of how annoying we may or may not think he is. From a marketing standpoint, he will get kid's attention, get them wanting the DVD, and therefore get parents to fork over the cash for it. We're just a bonus to them - they want kids to buy this thing first and foremost. And cheese in all his glory will help them do that.

Which is why I hate him. Cheese's popularity is a testament to the fact that, even though "Foster's" is the smartest show on Cartoon Network, the majority of its fans just want more of its stupidest character. That demand has already led to him dominating more episodes, and if that unsophisticated non-sequitur sensibility is allowed to permeate the rest of the cast, it could spell death for the show. Not in terms of its profitability, mind you, but in terms of its artistic integrity. I don't want "Foster's" to cheapen itself just so little kids can giggle mindlessly at stupid stuff. Craig McCracken, Lauren Faust, and everyone they work with are better than that.

Exactly. That also explains all the Cheese t-shirts I saw today at Hot Topic. I did see t-shirts for Grim and Eduardo, but at least they're main characters.
Personally, I thought Cheese was downright hilarious in his first appearance. Unfortunately, everything that made him funny in his first appearance just...isn't there anymore. I mean, the character himself isn't really that funny, but Candi Milo's delivery is downright brilliant.
Unfortunately, she can only do so much with having to say "GOTTA GO GOTTA GO GOTTA GO" over and over again for 22 minutes...

It'll be worse if he's on the cover for Season 3, in which he does not appear at all. If I recall, he was originally going to be on the Season 1 cover too, but cooler heads prevailed (the box art we did get for Season 1 was incredible, particularly that "Store Wars"-inspired mural on the inside, and I wish they'd maintain the theme for the whole series).

Plus, there are also people like me who love the show but can't stand to see it thrown into the mix of all the lesser shows on Cartoon Network. I can't enjoy the show when it's being interrupted every two minutes by a half-screen promo bug telling me when the next episode of "My Gym Partner's A Monkey" is on. DVDs are the only way I can see "Foster's" the way its creators meant it to be seen.

Me, when I buy DVDs, I have one condition: it's not on TV anymore. When Foster's is off the air (knowing CN's mindset, probably around 2010), then I'll get the DVDs.

Eh, that won't even be possible anymore once CN gives AS Fridays as well. So Foster's will be pretty much avilable at all watchable times. Though yeah there are some advantages to seeing it non commericaled/non advertised turning the episode playthrough.
As for the third Season cover, I think Goo will be on it if they have Cheese splattered onto this one.

This is a disaster.
Cheese's expression is actually quite amusing, but this is still a disaster.
Minor characters should NEVER take up an entire cover, let alone the majority of it.
