I'm hyper and thinking about bread, randomly. So leads to another random thread on the Cafe about food. I love bread, it's just so awesome. You can put stuff on it, or in it, or just eat it plain. You can make stuff out of it, and make pretty designs, or use it as a weapon if it's heavy enough. Bread is awesome, really.

So what's your favourite kind(s)? I'll add a few to the poll, but other will probably be your friend, too.

I've always been partial to the grain side of the food pyramid as well. Which is why I loathed the Atkins craze with a passion.

They can tell me not to eat fat--understandable. They can tell me not to eat sugary stuff--okay, fine. But when they tried to take away my bread, enough was enough.

I love bread. However, out of that list, I gotta go with Italian. Italian bread is really good for sandwiches.

It's all I eat now. PANINI FTW!

Other than that, on the off-time that I eat turkey sandwiches, I can only eat Home Pride Wheatbread (http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/488/37499672tg9.jpg).

Although it is strange, out of all the bread on the Walmart Giant Wall o' Bread, there is always just one loaf on the shelf of that brand, as if they're toying wth me and tricking me into thinking that it's going out of stock...>.>

I generally like Italian as my bread of choice in a Subway restaurant. But Pita was made for sandwiches. Make an opening in it, put stuff in there. Eat on the go without anything falling out of it. :D Makes great grilled cheese sandwiches.
Oh, and There is Matzah. You can't go wrong with that. Especialy if its covered in chocolate. Its also great with cheese or honey.

Potato bread is my absolute favorite kind, but for my every day bread needs, I go with wheat. But it has to be Wheat Montana brand. Mmm, carbs.

Sourdough and Focaccia, because they make the best sandwiches.

While French, Italian, Sourdough, and Wheat are all my favorites, I really enjoy Banana Nut bread a lot, though I would never make a sandwich using that kind.

I LOVE bread in all forms (well, except for english muffins. I hate those).

well, except for english muffins. I hate those. You know, sometimes I like English muffins, but most of the time, I can't stand them. I don't get it. When I was a kid, I wouldn't touch them. The texture is just... blah. But nowadays, in some cases, I'll eat them. It has to be with something, though.

I'm currently having a sandwhich on whole grain white bread, which is really my choice of bread.

I like a bagel when I can have one, though. With cream cheese...Mmmmmmm, delicious.

I used to like them as a kid, but I don't really eat them anymore.

Then again, I don't really eat breakfast that much anymore.

It's considered extremely dangerous to leave a fresh loaf of French bread anywhere near me for even a second. That stuff'll be gone in an instant.

I used to be able to put bagel after bagel away back in the day. That was of course, before I learned that one bagel was about five servings of carbs so........

That's terrible! Don't you know breakfast is the most important meal of the day? Anyway, the raisin English muffins are better than the regular ones.

By the way, what the hell is a focaccio?

I eat it when I get the chance. But a lot of times I simply don't have time, due to waking up just before work/class.

On off-days/weekends I try to eat it, if I can.

Yeah, I myself don't usually eat breakfast. I never eat it before school, and usually I'm just too lazy or don't have the stomach to eat it in the morning. Times I'll eat breakfast are usually on the weekends.

I find bread to be the best when it has garlic on it. It just has this taste that makes it perfect and delicious. I love going to italian restaurants that serve that kind of bread before the meal, especially with that delicious rosemary dipping sauce. Rosemary is also the greatest thing in the world on bread too.

I also like Bagels. :D

I went with French, rye and bagles (as long as fruit isn't present).

I like bread. My favorite kind of bread is the French loaf that my mom usually gets at Price Club. Me and my younger brother have been known to eat a whole loaf by ourselves.

And I'm starting to enjoy rye bread when I went to a Deli restaurant and tried their deli sandwiches.(I've tried a Ruben on rye and it was delicious.)

I also like bagels too, my favorites are the onion bagel and the everything bagel(As long it doesn't have sunflower seeds. I hate those...)

Don't have time? Just wake up ten minutes earlier. If it's that hard getting up maybe you should take later classes.

I like hard bread. French, Italian. Sourdough is great too. The best I can remember was sourdough they baked authentically at some frontier cabin in the Rocky's. You do know why it's sour, right? I ate too much and got a little sick. Also tried on a heavy buffalo coat. Man I'm glad for synthetic fibers.

Problem. Certain classes at my college are only offered as Block 1 classes, no matter the section or semester. It's extremely lame, but they do it.

When you skip breakfast your body stays in starvation mode and your metabolism will stay lowered until you eat. This means that your body is more likely to store fat when you skip breakfast. If that isn't bad enough, the fact that you're starving yourself earlier in the day will most likely make you hungrier at lunch, causing you to eat too much. So, basically your metabolism will be lowered and you'll eat too much. I hate being late and getting up early as much as the next person, but if you're at all interested in keeping a healthy lifestyle then skipping breakfast is simply not an option.

I never or rarely eat breakfast. Haven't since I was in high school.

Anyway, I just go with good old white bread. Yum. But, I will also have a bagel with a thick layering of cream cheese if possible.

Depends on what you mean by breakfast, leftover dinner from last night or a tv dinner chucked into the microwave. Course i have to leave at like 5:30 or 6 am because i live faraway and taking the MTA subway is almost always slow when you hit manhattan.

Advise for anyone taking a night class, dont...unless all or 90% of your classes are at night.

No love for coco bread or partially cooked biscuit dough?

anyone know why sourdough cooks extremely fast in a microwave?

Just reading about bread makes me hungry.

Many of the breads listed on the poll sound good. My favorite breads are rye, wheat, cinnimon (raisin), and potato bread. I also like white bread and garlic bread with cheese on it. It's the best kind.
