Does anyone know how or where I can get a disc to put the sound back on my computer? Something happened the thing crashed or whatever and I had to change the original disc now the sounds not working and I don't know how to get it back into the system. I know I'm a "dee" but if anyone can help I'd appreciate it.

What "Disc" are you talking about? Discs can not give or take away sound. A PC can play sound on the disc, but the sound comes from a PC (a combination of sound card and speakers).
Classifying a problem with "crashed or whatever" is not a proper way to describe what happened to your PC.

From this post, I realize you have no idea where sound comes from on your PC, but can you be a little bit more clearer as to what you did to cause this problem? Step by step, what did you do with a computer before the problem occurred.

No no I know where sound comes from on a computer I'm not mentally disadvantaged. I was rushing and wrote whatever I know I need a sound card I was just asking where I could find one. I'm not entirely sure how it broke down I wasn't the cause of the problem its a shared pc but its like 5 years old and I had it looked at the guy said it needed to be replaced, I can't afford to replace it yet, so we changed out the original program from windows to an xp version and suddenly the sound wouldn't come out of the speakers anymore. I just need to know how to get it back because when I check the pc says the sound should be working fine but its not and obviously I need a new card believe me I've checked the stores in my area they have nothing and keep telling me to replace the piece of crap, I don't need to replace it right now I just need a sound card, any help, rude or otherwise, as to where I can find one, would be welcome.

You have a lot of run on sentences and its difficult to understand what you are saying.
From what I understand, you had an operating system before Windows XP. What was it? Windows 98 Windows ME or Windows 200? So now you have Windows XP. You had sound from the older operating system but once you changed it to XP and the sound is gone? If I understood you correctly the problem lies with sound card drivers, and not the sound card. If you can, identify what sound card do you have. Is it Creative Labs Sound Blaster? If you successfully Identify your sound card, we can try and find appropriate drivers for if that are Windows XP compatible and install them. Although, I am a bit surprised. XP usually has all the old sound card drivers in the OS.
If its a 5 years old PC, I recommend changing it as it is way too old. Was anything else done to the PC before the problem occurred other than changing the OS?
