Well this episode of Bleach wasn't too bad, but not too great either. It felt pretty dragged out, particularly Ichigo and Kenpachi's fight, which reminded me of one of DBZ's fights. I liked the ending with Ukitate, but sadly this is the last time Houki Boshi will be used as the ending. I can't wait till next week's ep.

Okay episode. There was some pretty obvious stretching going on here, like the beginning. And then there was the one where they showed a flashback of Ichigo attacking Kenpachi... when it happened literally seconds ago. That was silly.

Well, they can do various things to destroy the soul, it sounded like. cut a soul chain, heart, etc etc. but why do they have bodies in a spirit realm and bleed is beyond me.

anywho, it wasn't too bad and epsiode to me, there was some good action to watch even though nothing was accomplished... would you really want Ichigo to always be a superbadass that can take enemies down quick? What would be the fun in that, I'd rather have the feeling of a real threat... even though he's the main character and we know he won't go away, its nice to see him not perfect.

I liked this episode, despite it being 'slow' or 'dragged out'. I'm going to miss the ending though:sad:. I looove the Captains, and how they aren't 'easy to beat'. I hate it when the hero comes to a really strong powerful force, yet kills him in the drop of a hat JUST because hes the hero and can do that with out fail. It's good to see them actually struggle and have a chance of NOT winning.

He probably only saw the Japanese version for those eps, because Zangetsu wasn't supposed to be revealed untill later, while the dub ended up revealing it earlier than it was supposed to.

And based on this neverending saga (At least the Frieza saga felt like it could end at any time), I'm really starting to question how much longer I can watch. Witch Hunter Robin, Wolf's Rain, Eureka 7, and Samurai Champloo all had "keep watching because at Episode # that's when it really picks up" comments and it didn't happen. Now I'm one episode away from adding "Bleach" to that list (It's a shame too. I was really enjoying this series).

He hasn't been specifically introduced yet, but he has been hinted at in the series. It'll be a while before it's revealed, but when they do, they'll show the full version of that scene.

I didn't think so. I love that song. Whenever it starts playing, you know Ichigo is going to kick some ass. And the fact that it's in English just makes it sweeter.

This episode kept me fairly entertained. Don't know why, maybe 'cause there was lots of battling. And Kenny is pretty sweet. Wearing bells in his hair? Purely awesome.

Which also brings up the question as to how Icchy could sense Chad's spirit energy even though Zaraki's was way stronger and more overpowering.

In this episode the power of the captain is explified even moreso. First off Chad is able to show a considerable amount of power but unfourtanley is shown to be utterley defeated by Shunshi to the point of near death and getting captured. Good thing he was facing the kind captain otherwise he'd be pretty dead. And then Ichigo after having another "that a boy" sequence (It didn't annoy me as much when facing Renji but it annoyed me some here) is able to actually cut Kenpachi (who we find out actually wears an eyepatch and bells to give his opponent an advantage. Kind of shows just how freakishly strong the guy is) but then underestimates him when finding out about his Zanpaktou and gets scked for his troubles. This would seem to be a loss with a broken Zanpaktou and being so drained and bleeded and all but with a vision of his Zanpaktou's spirit and being the main character and all Ichigo dosen't get to just loose in such an important battle. Still how is he going to rebound from this one I want to find out. I also want to find out just what role the seventh and ninth captain (who finally get a role besides the ending credits) are now going to play. I mean I see what people mean about there being so many characters at once to keep track of but if it stays this interesting then it's worth it IMHO.

So Ichigo runs, runs, and runs, then finally gets a blow on Kenpachi, exciting the captain greatly... then Kenpachi just cuts through Ichigo's sword just like that. Ouch... Ichigo's 'bout to die, again.
