That aired a year ago. Since he made some dumb decisions in the past year, I'm actually calm watching this. Though the joke about Bush's daughter was stupid and was a cheap rip-off of Lindsey Lohan parody.

Edit- Watch for a thing on the new video game based on the Transformers movie.

I loved the intro bit.

Ackbar cereal was awesome...I never get tired of the ol' "It's a TRAP!"

I also liked the sketch about the butt-faced alien in the cantina...I always wondered what that guy did afterwards.

The bits with the janitor cleaning up the bodies was outstanding.

Luke and Leia in bed...SUCH a necessary joke. Let's face it, that whole first movie is creepy in retrospect.

Force-Ghost Jar-Jar bothering Vader was freakin' genius...

Lando's man-droid dancing in the halls of Cloud City was just totally weird and yet completely hilarious.

So now we know why Luke was so keen to get to Toshi station to pick up some 'power converters'...LOL.

Conan O'Brien as the largely ignored Zuckuss was brilliant, especially when the Death Star came to put a stop to it.

Lastly, the "Empire on Ice" skit was really nicely done, even the probe droid got a part.

Probably because i'm not a star wars geek.

I looked at the credits, Where was Hulk Hogan in the special, and conan o'brien voiced the talk show host right?

Jar-Jar, Star Wars on Ice, Nerd meets George Lucas, and janitor cleaning up were the best parts..

Lobot.

Yeah, I was never that interested. Did they ever even mention his name in the movie?

Anyways, Hulk Hogan voiced Abe Lincoln in the "Jedi Dubya" sketch.

I think they could easily manage a sequel in the future, there's plenty more random characters that deserve a bit sketch, like Bib Fortuna or the fat pilot that got blown up in his X-Wing over the first Death Star...

I wonder how this special will compare to the upcoming hour-long episode of Family Guy that spoofs the first Star Wars film. Anyways, the following bits were a hoot IMO:

-The Walker pilot in the john
-R2-D2 and C-3PO going through airport security
-Star Wars "Snaps"
-Security calling Han's reactor bluff
-Star Wars version of Conan O' Brien

I found this special to be quite entertaining. I liked most of the new skits such as Admiral Cereal, Yo Mamma: Palaptine Vs. Luke, the Talkshow skit with Conan O'Brien, the cleanup guy, Jar Jar bothers Vader, Gay Bobba Fett, etc. I also liked seeing the older skits such as Jedi Bush and the extended "I am your father".

He was all excited and asked R2 to patch him through to his Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, but paused when he remembered that they were dead. Sort of a negative memory to come up after you win the battle.

Oh, I don't know who Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru are. Which movie were they in?

Um...the original. And Episode III, but that's besides the point.

They were the people that Luke was living with at the beginning of the movie. Uncle Owen is the one that bought R2 and C3PO from the Jawas. They're basically Luke's surrogate parents, with them having raised him after Obi-Wan left him in their care to hide him from Darth Vader.

If it weren't for their deaths at the hands of Imperial Troopers looking for the droids, Luke probably never would have gone with Obi-Wan to meet the princess.

Best. Robot. Chicken. Ever.

There were only two real misses during this episode: The Palpatine skit where Vader calls him after the Death Star blew up the first time (didn't like it before, don't like it now) and the Boba Fett bit (though it only got crappy when Boba started to come onto Han). Pretty much everything else was spot on. It didn't rely on toilet humor, vomiting, or gore to be funny. Just plain, old fashioned, goofiness. Now, if only the rest of the series were like this, then maybe it wouldn't be so crappy.

Admiral Ackbar Cereal was seriously the hardest I've laughed at this show since the start of last season. I wasn't even expecting it when he just jumped out and yelled "IT'S A TRAP!" and it was so funny.

Outside of that, I got some laughs. The worst sketch was Star Wars On Ice. There wasn't any punchline to it.

Random points:

- The 'What if Bush had Jedi powers' thing was unfunny until the fight with Abe Lincoln. Maybe I'm just apathetic towards political humor in general lately -no matter who the target is-, but boy howdy that fight was hysterical.

- The Boba Fett one was.... disturbing.

- Empire On Ice was just PAINFUL to watch. I didn't see the point and it dragged out WAY longer than it should have been.

- The Conan thing would have been funny have I seen more Conan episodes (I go to sleep early, so I dun' have time to check out Conan's show), but it was fairly amusing.

I mostly agree, except that I enjoyed the Palpatine skit; it was like an edgy Bob Newhart routine. I also agree that RC needs to cut down on the toilet humor and gross-out stuff; they've proven from time to time that they can be funny without it.

Funniest parts for me were Jar Jar greeting and then haunting Darth Vader, George Lucas and the nerd, and the Empire on Ice skit. Pure genius. The rest was okay, except I'd have preferred this special be all new material, without the reused skits.

Like with any parody, the jokes in the Star Wars special got totally lost on those people not familiar with the Star Wars movie franchise.

Overall, a very good effort. Hopefully, we'll see other Robot Chicken specials lampooning other huge cultural icons. (^_*)

This was the best thing [as] has put on in years. I nearly choked with laughter during the Admiral Ackbar cereal sketch. I know "it's a trap" and "x can't repel y of that magnitude" really shouldn't be funny anymore... but they are. The delivery and the surprise factor really sold that one.

I was disappointed to see old sketches, but that's not really enough of a reason to dock this anything. 5/5, absolutely great.

Well, they already wrote some Star Wars sketches earlier, so why not use them? Plus, the special was twice as long as the average Robot Chicken episode. They must have just figured that it was easier to just re-use them.

Anyway, they've done that before; the Robot Chicken Christmas episode re-used previous Xmas themed bits from earlier RB episodes.

This could of been a lot better then it ended up being. I mean really, given full Lucas Arts support they could of really dug in deep with a lot more hard hitting refrences to the movies, but then again I guess they were more restricted to the original three due to the anniversary rule and all. I mean most of the newer movie bashing came from the clips already shown in other episodes (mainly the still always funny "pandabooboo or whatever the hell her name is" Darth Sidious line from the Darth to Darth call from season two). The clips already used at least fit well itno the special, and there were some good new clips used (everyone falling to the ground, Sidious vs Luke your momma fight. (Though I would of expected Vader to say "that's for dissing Padame again b****" when throwing Sidious down. Oh well) Jar Jar annoying grown up Annie, even as a ghost, Bobba Fett getting too personal with the carbonaized Hon Solo and George Lucas's appearence at the comic con. I personally didn't really like the Star Wars on Ice/Han Solo and co in communications room calling around the ship, and I think the "we faked the strangulation" gag could of been better but it wasn't a terrible special. Just one that didn't live up to it's expecations. Heh, just like the newer movies I suppose.

Well I've been sort of Star Wars drained already this summer. All the Star Wars movies have been airing on HBO recently, Spaceballs airing on Comedy Central, and the History Channel airing Star Wars specials. Finally, came the anticipated Robot Chicken "Star Wars Special". I did enjoyed the alot of the parodies shown. Of course Robot Chicken did recycled a few sketches but all of them were brillant. I liked Jar-Jar tormenting Darth Vader, the construction on Darth Star II, the janitor, Max Rebo, and Ackbar Cereal. Also did anyone noticed Ponda was eating Ackbar Cereal in the following sketch?

Well hopefully I can regain the force throughout the summer in order to watch the Family Guy episode "Blue Harvest" coming this Fall. The special really pumped me up for season three coming this August.

That was AWESOME. Almost every single skit was funny, a rarity for Robot Chicken, which is generally hit-and-miss. My favorite bits were the Admiral Ackbar cereal ("It's a trap!" never fails to bring a smile to my face), the misunderstandings involving Ponda and his beloved arm, and Vader doing to Jar-Jar what we all wanted to... only to have Jar-Jar's ghost come back to haunt him. Pure genius. The worst skit was definitely Boba Fett taunting Han Solo in carbonite, a funny concept destroyed by awful writing.

Overall, this gets a 4.75/5

I believe he voiced Luke in all the new skits as well as the "I am your father" parody skit.

Hm, I guess a better question to ask is when didn't he voice Luke?

I mean really, given full Lucas Arts support they could of really dug in deep with a lot more hard hitting refrences to the movies, but then again I guess they were more restricted to the original three due to the anniversary rule and all. I mean most of the newer movie bashing came from the clips already shown in other episodes (mainly the still always funny "pandabooboo or whatever the hell her name is" Darth Sidious line from the Darth to Darth call from season two).

The only two skits I can think of that were just the new trilogy is the Darth Maul body falling and Qui-Gon dropping his lightsabre.

And the same janitor that found Darth Maul's body also found Mace Windu's body falling from the sky.

Actually, I believe Hamill only did one sketch (which one, I can't remember).

I believe all the rest were done by Bob Bergen.

In the one sketch Hamill was in, you could tell he didn't have the voice for it anymore.

Edit: Watching the interactive episode now, I remmeber that the one sketch with Hamill in it was the "I am your father" one where Luke can't take the revelations seriously.

The sad thing is that that wasn't even a new sketch.

Overall quite amusing.

Qui-Gon dropping his lightsaber through the floors of the ship and the janitor having to clean up all the bodies were the best.

I'd still like to see Jar Jar or the Stoopid Monkey look through the wrong end of a lightsaber and skewer himself, but Jar Jar haunting Vader was good.

Also liked the worms ordering Chinese food.
"Will that be cash or charge?"
"We're just going to eat him anyway right?"
"Then cash it is."

No Yoda or Jabba the Hut was disappointing.
And what about Greedo? How could they leave out Greedo?

I'm not that familiar with the Star Wars universe, but I did get some of the jokes like "It's a trap" thanks to it being an Internet meme.

I felt they could've used more characters like Mace, Yoda, and especially Lando.

All in all, this was definitely the best Robot Chicken in a while.

Loved the Anakin/Darth Vader intro and the clucking end theme. I think my two favorite bits where the Cantina alien who didn't get his promotion and Jar Jar annoying "Annie".

How much of Luke did Mark Hamill actually voice?

He sounded more like Quagmire to me.

"Your momma so fat Jabba the Hut said daaaaaaamn!"
"Your momma so stupid she spent all day saying 'am not' to R2"
"Your momma so dumb she thought Jar Jar comes with Pickles Pickles"
"Your momma is so stupid she went to Bangkok to get a Tye Fighter".

I actually had more trouble understanding Empire on Ice.

Hey!

I did Luke in all but one scene, which was from a previous season of RC.

Hey, Bob!

Yeah, I thought Luke sounded a lot more like The Joker in that one sketch than all the others. ;)

Oh, okay, it was only Hamill in the old one with Vader. That makes sense. Sorry, Bob, I liked your Luke!

That was pretty fun, even though I'm not a die-hard Star Wars fan. Loved the bits about the promotion-seeking alien that ends up losing his drawing arm; the light saber that phased down into the floor; the worm upset he couldn't catch a spaceship to eat; the Yo Mamma fight; Conan O' Brien talk show gag. Nothing I really hated, which is a rarity for Robot Chicken.

Robot Chicken "Star Wars Special": 4/5.

I wasn't even expecting it when he just jumped out and yelled "IT'S A TRAP!" and it was so funny.

What did it for me was how he violently cleared the table at the same time. That just had me in hysterics.

Loved the bits about the promotion-seeking alien that ends up losing his drawing arm;Yeah, that bit was a play on an actual scene from the first movie. In the now-famous cantina scene, the 2 characters were dangerous criminals, one humanoid and one alien, who picked a fight with Luke, resulting in Luke slicing the alien's arm off. In the RC parody, we find out that they're not criminals at all, just ordinary working stiffs who snuck out to the bar. The humanoid's claims that the 2 were criminals were just his drunken ramblings, and instead of threatening Luke, the alien was just trying to keep the peace, but couldn't explain this to Luke because he didn't speak English.

Just wanted to say that for anyone who missed this (or wants to see this again), AS is rebroadcasting the special on Sunday at 11 p.m.

Obi-Wan sliced the guy's arm off.

Sorry. It's been a while since I've seen the original Star Wars.
