Well, I must say that I'm very impressed.

I was browsing the site a few days ago, and I think that morphing the computer experience into iTunes is a great idea. Integrating cover flow with browsing any file and being able to preview it on cover flow is a nice feature, and I've always loved the desktop of these recent Macs, so seeing improvements to that is enticing as well.
Personally, I'll be making it my business to get a Mac when Leopard comes out later this year. It'll be a great and refreshing change from the usual Windows, IMO.

Meh.
I'd be more impressed if they added high-profile H.264 support to QuickTime.
I also see they're developing a port of their Safari web browser for Windows.
Bah. I don't even use Safari on the Mac, why would I want it for Windows? Mozilla ftw.

You might not use it, but allowance of Safari on Windows allows more people to design for it, which makes things conveniently work well on the Jesusphone.

Except for when you download it and no text appears on the screen, like this:

Trust me, this isn't the final version...much more is coming down the pike for Leopard.

But it appears to be the first really complete version. The last version just looked like a rough draft of how leopard would work, basically Tiger with some of the new features added. I know that this is only a beta.

Beta or not, anyone find it funny how Apple claims their Mac software is so protected, and once they bring Safari to Windows people started finding security flaws in it within hours.
I still have it on my PC for the Private Browsing... you know... to uh... hide my credit info... and stuff... yeah... credit...

I watched the full 1 hour and 20 min. WWDC keynote address on Leopard. Every time a new OS is announced I think, "Meh, my current OS runs just fine... I don't need to upgrade, at least not RIGHT away." Then I watched the video and, just like previous years, I'm on board. The iTunes-esque Finder looks cool, as does having all downloads in one place and not clogging up the desktop, and all the crazy things you can do with the new iChat.
Too bad I won't be able to utilize Time Machine unless I buy an external HD, though. And gotta be honest, Spaces hasn't "wowed" me. Maybe it will once I use it (like Dashboard), but the demo didn't do much for me.
