Okay now this is worse then Pulling a Fire alarm, or even Shouting Fire in a theater.
Apparently someone in Illinois is playing a bad prank on the National Weather Service, giving them false tips on Severe weather in at least 3 states if not more, (I mean from what I have read, these affect not only Illinois but also Wisconsin, Indiana, and even Iowa.
That's right, some joker is reporting false tornadoes at certain locations, and in fact the real truth of the matter is this.. They're not real.
I mean Imagine you're in School or at work or at home, and the Weather Service issues a Tornado Warning for your area (and i Know how some of you midwestern TZ.net folks are when it comes to Severe weather. Wehn you hear a warning you usually take it seriously).
But imagine someone like this jerk, going into a National Weather Service website and telling that there's a tornado on the ground in such and such city, when there's really no twister or hail or even wind.. just your typical rain storm.
This makes the weather service Look bad, and in fact can seriously affect people's judgements when taking reports like these seriously. I mean imaigne after a while you get a report of some severe storm and it doesn't happen. then some day it does happen and you get a report and you don't take it seriously. You might end up injured.. or even worse.. Dead.
I mean this is serious when Hospitals, Schools and even Prisons have to move people around just to be safe.. and the irony is that it's not even happening.. Like I said, it's almost as bad as pulling a fire alarm when their's no fire, or even shouting "Fire" in a crowded theater.
But what are your thoughts about this one. I can say this. The FBI is investigating this and already they got an IP Address on where these "False Storm reports are coming from (it's somewhere in Illinois and already the FBI is flagging this particular IP Address and monitoring every last tip.
I just hope they catch this joker and toss him in prison for 5 years before he sends out a false report for a tornado and a real tornado occurs somewhere else and someone gets injured or even worse, dies.
Then he, the prankster, and the National Weather Service will have to live with this on their concious for years to come.
