This topic hasn't been done in a good while, so let's discuss.

What is your dream job?

Personally, I've always wanted to be a writer for TV or comics. Being able to have your ideas come to life on a TV screen or printed page and millions of people (hopefully) enjoying sounds like it'd be a great feeling indeed.

So, what's your dream job? What steps are you taking to attain it? Do your circumstances even give you a chance to attain it? Let's hear.

My dream job is to be a novelist. I love to write and have been writing fanfics for about three years and am majoring in English. I've got a few ideas for books swirling around in the back of my mind, but I have yet to get them down on paper and instead working on my fanfics to improve my fiction writing. I'm thinking that when I'm done with school I'll be more apt to put those ideas down when I'm more experienced with such things. This coming year I may try and submit something to my school's literary magazine as well. We'll see.

To be a writer/producer of a cartoon,
to voice act, even in Japanese,
to be exec producer of some local tv news.

A writer of stories. Doesn't have to be novelist or anything like that. Just as long as I can tell all kinds of stories, I'm good.

My lifelong dream has been to become a Voice Actor. I love animation and would love to be able to act out my own characters.

That's exactly what my dream job is. I've had it for a while and my major in college could possibly lead me to it with A/V Performance classes.

I currently have a job that possibly achieves dream-level status, though: working as a mascot at a baseball stadium. At least it my idea of a potential dream job anyway.

I'm on the same level with you there. I'd love to do this.

Syndicated cartoonist. Or, failing that, voice over artist.

Having never actually had a "Dream Job", much less a direction in life, I only have scattered musings on what I'd like to be. Here are some of the more interesting ones that pop up from time to time:

-Restaurateur
-Politician
-Priest (Real young when I thought this up)
-Music producer/performer
-Columnist (Miami Herald, since it was suggested to me)

My dream job (ever since Jurassic Park) was to be a filmmaker. Big-budget summer blockbusters or cheapo DTV actioners, it didn't really matter as long as I was writing and directing. But after all this time, things aren't looking too good, so I may be getting back to my original passion, writing. Would love to publish some novels, especially considering I have hundreds of ideas swirling around my head begging to put on paper.

I'd like to become a well-known cartoonist with a nationally syndicated comic strip that gets turned into a TV series.
