And so begins the robot wars.
(But it's so cute.)

Nothing says safety and friendly like "BEAR". :p
Ironic, isn't it? For decades, people thought humanoid robots would be used to destroy.

For decades, people (outside of Japan) thought humanoid robots would be used to destroy. There we go.

That's really cool. And a clever idea.
And not to mention cute :D

If it's well-implemented, for all practical purposes this seems like a good idea...
...But am I the only one who's seriously creeped out by those pictures?

Oh sure, there cute and cuddly at first, helping you out as they run 50 miles to get you to a doc. But once there added with Skynet, you can kiss your chances of life goodbye...

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure they gave up on Skynet after watching Terminator 3. ;)
When I heard robot, battlefield, cute cuddly teddy bear, I was sure they're talking about Japan. Anyway it's about time to start using AI in war.

Of course you realise that once robots replace the soldiers, the bear-robot becomes somewhat redundant?
Ah well, maybe he'll be adapted to civilian use.

It's not AI, the robot is remote controlled to make sure it doesn't screw up.

Bear-bot, take me up those stairs!
Bear-bot! Fetch me the remote!

I was thinking ambulance use, but trusting the market's priorities it would probably mostly be used for carrying beer from the fridge to the TV chair...

I really don't see why the teddy bear face has anything to do with it being reassuring. It only has the shape of a teddy bear, it's got none of the fur, nose, mouth or any such details of a teddy bear other than the shape. Allthough if you're scremaing in pain from a serious injury you're probably not going to really care.
it also looks serverly misproportioned to the size of the body
Ah well we're one day closer to the day were we will all have one of these

What? The robot or the cookie-headed gentleman being assaulted by it?
