How old do you think Dexter is? I say he's about 5 or 6.

It's a fact.

And DeeDee is eleven.

UPDATE: Although in the new season, she seems to be 13. I don't know what's scarier, a pre-pubescent Deedee or a post-pubescent Deedee. Let's hope the latter never surfaces.

The question was answered in Picture Day, which starts with reviewing past class pictures of Dexter & Dee Dee. Dee Dee's stops with 5th grade, so she's in 6th grade; Dexter's with 3rd grade, so he's in 4th grade. Hey! That means he's in the same grade as the Hey Arnold! kids.

If so, it would've had to've been 4th, because the others were accounted for in PD.

His shortness as apposed to his age seems to be one of two things.

He's really really young (which explains why most eveyone else is so much taller then him). You could use the "Lab Betterta" eppisode to show that he could just be wearing a dipper underneath that coat. But then in the rest of the eppisodes, like "Way of the DeeDee" he's wearing boxers or breifs.

The other, and more likely reason, is that Dexter's just a really shrimpy and stouty guy as apposed to DeeDee's tall and skinny stature. The way Genndy desined the two in the first place.

Personally, Deedee's design for season 3 is perfect. In some season 2 episodes, her giantess-ness became ridiculous, like in the episode on the schoolbus where she's twice the size of everyone else, even the bus driver. Too much was too much, so it's nice to see her smaller than the adults and some children for a change.

She had this more "free" look to her before, though. She's more square now.

That has to be one of my favorite part about the new season is that they have a lot more interaction between other people. Season two just had a few bus rides and the two kids Dexter bragged to in "Last but not Beast". Not only is it a different perspective on the show, but, as stated, Dee-Dee is made more realistical looking, and Dexter just looks shorter then before.

Well, in that one episode when he changes himself for picture day, it shows DeeDee in a fifth grade photo. So, I'm thinking that Dexter sould be either nine or eight... I don't know.

I think for all it's worth, Dexter is about 6 years old. His school grade just seems to point it out.

Dee-Dee is the 8 year old to me, in about 3rd grade. Remember, the cartoon puts them in some non-kiddie situations...so it's hard to say in the end. :D
