Hey, everybody! My first fanfic, actually, I wrote this on Animation Insider, but I have to convert it to a normal form. It's the same rating as Trouble in Tokyo. Here goes!
Steel City Prison
Brother Blood stood up in his cramped cell, pacing back and forth. No doubt he was thinking of ways to destroy the Titans. A lone guard patrolled this hall, armed with a heavy laser gun. Suddenly, someone dashed around the corner, cloaked in shadow. He grabbed the guard by the back of his neck, and delivered a quick chop, rendering him unconcious. The villain stepped into the light, revealing Slade. He took the keys from the guard's pocket, and unlocked Brother Blood's cell. Brother Blood was flooded with confusion and admiration. He had heard of the masked menace Slade before.
"No time to explain who I am..." Slade said quickly, but was interrupted by Blood. "Slade. You've been my role model, really. I assume that you broke me out to join forces?"
"Erm... yes, actually," Slade said, suddenly labeling Brother Blood as a lot less of an equal. "I accept," answered Blood.
Somewhere else in the galaxy...
Blackfire hurtled through space in her stolen spaceship, muttering to herself. "If I take a dive through this wormhole," she said, diving through a wormhole, "then that should put me in this wormhole hub, and I should be able the Zorbodian portal to Ear... whoa!" Blackfire stopped the ship, seeing Malchior the dragon thrash around the thick grove of portals after being sent there by Herald, swearing revenge against the Teen Titans. Blackfire broke into a malevolent grin after hearing 'Teen Titans' and approached Malchior.
Slade's hideout...
Slade and Brother Blood sat at Slade's viewscreen, watching Blackfire's ship soar towards them. "Let's recruit them," Brother Blood suggested. "Indeed," Slade agreed. "Blackfire's alien technology and Malchior's magic would give me exactly what I need for my plan. Plus, they're not the only ones to be recruited soon."
Titans Tower...
The Teen Titans were not unaware of the alliance. "Slade's been seen, Brother Blood has escaped, a stolen spacecraft was spotted in the atmosphere... anything bad for us that I forgot?" Robin seethed. "Well..." Beast Boy started before Raven clamped his lips shut from the other side of the room. "Um, what about the Brotherhood of Evil? Couldn't someone thaw 'em out?" Cyborg finished, failing to catch Robin's 'subtle' sarcasm. "I was beneath the impression that the Kid Flash destroyed the button of melting," Starfire rushed to say, avoiding an explosion from Robin.
Jinx and Kid Flash's hideout...
"YOU FORGOT WHAT?!" Jinx screamed at Kid Flash. "Don't worry, I'll take care of it," he eased. "C'mon," he added, taking Jinx's hand. In a flash, they were in the Brotherhood's Paris hideout. Kid Flash, not even looking at the shelves of frozen villains, smashed the control panel. "See?" he said calmly. "Everything's all ri..." His voice trailed off as he finally looked at the shelves. Jinx was already wide-eyed, and her mouth was hanging open. The Brotherhood of Evil was gone.

Titans Tower...
Robin, true to his recent self, was paranoid and infuriated. He flipped his communicator open so hard one of the hinges audibly cracked. He let out the warning to everyone, "The alliance of our enemies, including the Brotherhood of Evil, is disastrous. We need to stick together. So if anyone is attacking you, and I mean anyone, contact us. If there's trouble, you know who to call." Beast Boy was skeptical, remembering the previous attack. "But... what if the Brotherhood just gets us all at once?" he demanded, abandoning his trademark grin. "We'll just deal with that if it comes," Robin evaded. "For now, Titans out."
Slade's hideout...
Slade paced back and forth in front of an interrogation seat. In the seat was the girl Beast Boy was sure was Terra. Apparently, so was Slade. "So," he finally said, "what's your name?"
"... Markov," said 'Terra.' "Your first name." Slade was not in the mood for games. "Tara, okay?" she spit at Slade. "I'm not the girl Beast Boy wanted me to be. I'm just an ordinary girl. So why did you bring me here?"
"Ah, you admit it was Beast Boy who talked to you. So the knowledge, then, is burned into your brain of what you were."
"So what?" 'Terra' asked. "Well, it saves me some time explaining at the very least," Slade retorted. "Were you always like this?" 'Terra' questioned. "No," Slade quipped, "I used to be shorter." 'Terra' was silent, angry at Slade's avoiding her questions. "So did you bring me here to restore my memory or what?" she said forcefully. "In a nutshell, yes," Slade admitted. "I have kidnapped you in order to bring you back to your... former glory. But I give choices. If you want, I will set you free to your current life; lost, unsure of yourself at times, but indeed normal. Take your pick."
"All my memories?" 'Terra' said hopefully. "The machine is... unstable. I can't promise you anything," Slade warned. "... All right. I'll do it," 'Terra' answered at last. "Good," said Slade. "That's just what I was hoping you'd say." 'Terra' left the chair and went into the next room to prepare for the procedure. As soon as she had left, the Brain and Monsieur Mallah entered through the other door. "Shrewd, Slade. Very shrewd," the Brain admitted. "I couldn't have done much better myself."
"Obviously," Slade said, "I will only restore her memories to a certain point. She will have no memory of betraying me, or meeting Beast Boy again. She will be my apprentice once more. Now, perhaps it is time for our plan to be put into action."
"We shall begin immediately," the Brain decided. "Our assassin work shall not fail. The Titans will have no idea that they are being destroyed. And I have a score to settle with some old enemies."

*slaps forehead* I'm actually supposed to comment on the story, not on how its written. *scolding self* No! The stove is hot! Sutoubu wa atsui desu! La estufa esta caliente! *realizes people are reading* Umm... Excuse me.
Now where was I? Ahh, yes. This is turning out interesting, though all the villains teaming up against the Titans isn't exactly extremely original. *points at Season 5; Realizes something; stares at you shifty eyed* You didn't steal this from "TTXS1", did you? I'll assume you didn't. I would say more, but I think I just popped a circuit somewhere in my brain *rubs head*.

Hey, you actually read my story when I was posting on AI? Cool. (EDIT: Sorry for not recognizing your screen name. Thanks for bringing me here.) By the way, what is TTXS1? Is that a Teen Titans episode? And yes, this is like the end of Series Five. But this will tie up the loose ends and not just be about the Titans getting captured. It's what goes on inside the Brotherhood's new lair that counts... did I just post that out loud?

Now for the part that is, yes, kinda like "Calling All Titans."
Titans East Tower...
A distress signal came out from four different locations; just enough for the Titans East. The Hive Five were the culprits. The Titans East assembled to move out, but Bumblebee stopped them. "You may not like it, I know I don't, but we have to call Robin first," she said testily. Bumblebee opened her communicator, where Robin answered. "Hey, Robin. We've got a situation, just the Hive Five. We'll call when it's over."
"Understood. Titans out," Robin replied. "All right. Titans East go!" Bumblebee exclaimed, and they raced off to save Steel City.
Bumblebee ended up in a warehouse, where Billy Numerous was stealing several crates. "Need a hand?" Bumblebee quipped. "Naw, but y'all might!" Billy Numerous chuckled. Suddenly, Madame Rouge burst out of one of the boxes and stole Bumblebee's communicator. Then Rouge stretched herself to block all of the exits. "Velcome to our trap," she purred as Billy Numerous surrounded Bumblebee. Two of them grabbed her, but she shrunk down. Then Madame Rouge swiped her from midair, and Billy knocked Bumblebee unconcious.
In a deserted building, Mas y Menos found no one. "Quien es aqui?" they called out. Then Kyd Wykkyd warped from behind. "Ay! Mas y Menos si podemos!" the Spanish twins yelled as they sprinted away. Almost on a dime, they turned and knocked Kyd Wykkyd out the door. But just as they gave each other high-fives, See-more emerged and trapped Mas in an eye bubble. "Someone say si?" he joked. Then Kyd Wykkyd warped behind Menos and grabbed him. "Looks like you're out of the fast lane," See-more sneered.
Meanwhile, Aqualad had lucked out and was at the pier. Mammoth was smashing everything in sight. "You know, even coming here was pretty stupid," Aqualad pointed out. Mammoth looked flustered for a moment, then regained his composure. "Yeah... but two powerhouses can beat you down." Monsieur Mallah jumped down and landed next to Aqualad, delivering a neck chop that knocked him out. "That was too easy," Mammoth laughed.
In a lighthouse, Gizmo was headed to the top floor to disassemble the beam. But Speedy stopped him on the first floor. "Hope that pack of gadgets is fireproof," Speedy quipped, arming a flaming arrow. "You'll need a whole lot more arrows than that," Gizmo retorted, turning his spider legs into bat wings and swooping down to the door, where General Immortus had a battalion of robots. Speedy pulled out his communicator, but Gizmo fired a laser that short-circuited it. "Too slow, you cludgehead," Gizmo taunted as Immortus' robots stole Speedy's quiver and grabbed him.
Titans Tower...
Robin had been staring at the viewscreen for hours, waiting for something to happen. In the meantime, Cyborg was worried. "Shouldn't the Titans East be back by now?" he asked, followed by the ringing of his communicator. "We easily beat the Hive Five. We're back safe. Enough information?" Bumblebee said irritatedly. "Sure, I read," Cyborg replied. "Cy out." At Titans East Tower, Bumblebee laughed evilly and transformed back into Madame Rouge. "They never guessed. Old tricks can work over and over."

"TTXS1" or the full named "Teen Titans X: Season 1" was one of my older fanfics. It had the whole 'all villains team up against titans' thing.

Wow, coincidence. Sorry I haven't put up a new chapter, but I've been gone for the past week. Here's the next part of the story.
Titans Tower...
"Titans out," Robin said, and closed the link between him and 'Bumblebee'. "I have this feeling that something isn't right. Cyborg, go to Titans East Tower to provide more backup."
"Fine, whatever," Cyborg muttered irritatedly. "Sure, let's split up when the Brotherhood is gonna attack." Cyborg left the Tower and unlocked the T-Car. Then he turned on the ignition, smiled, and zoomed away.
A few miles down the road, a police car drove up next to the T-Car. "Uh, hey," Cyborg greeted them. "You giving me an escort or something?" The officer was not in the mood for chitchat. "I'm afraid we're going to have to arrest you, Cyborg," he said stiffly. Cyborg was in shock. "For what?" he spluttered. "For blatant destruction of public property on several occasions," replied the officer. "We let you off before because you were fighting crime, but your community service is outstripped by your destruction record. I mean, look at this. You picked up an entire building, causing injury to hundreds of people inside. You’re lucky it wasn’t worse."
"Well, you've forgotten three things," Cyborg told him. "One, I'm Cyborg. Two, the T-Car can outrun your toy car any day. And three... my SONIC CANNON!" Cyborg blasted the officer with a ray of sonic energy. The officer did not land pleasantly. When he did, he opened his communicator and barked out orders. Cyborg was going to have a hard time escaping.
Raven, walking in the halls of Titans Tower, noticed a package outside her room. Hurriedly, she checked the return address, then rushed into her room with it. Opening the abstruse box, she saw... an electric toothbrush. Raven studied it, then opened the battery case. A small roll of paper fell out. After unrolling the paper, she found a message, like on a fortune cookie. The note said: 'As always, I cannot reveal too much, but Cyborg is in trouble. The Titans are falling. Try to save your friends, and beware the too obvious.' Raven slipped into a flashback.
It was almost a year before the end of the world. Raven was patrolling the city from the skies when she spotted a bomb. She flew down quickly and encased the weapon in a ball of dark energy. A figure emerged from the shadows, wearing jeans, a T-shirt, and a bowler hat.
"Raven," he stated. "I know who you are. I know who you were. I know who you will be. I can tell the future, and I have come to this city just to meet you. Oh, and that isn't a bomb. It's made out of Styrofoam."
Raven released the supposed bomb, and it fell to the ground and dented itself on the pavement. But then Raven turned and attacked the mysterious man. As he was held in a tight grip of Raven's dark energy, he gasped out a prophecy.
"The gem... was born... of evil's fire. The gem shall be... his portal. He comes... to claim... he comes... to sire, the end... of all things... mortal," the man managed to say, then collapsed as he was released. "Raven, I don't want to destroy the Titans. I want to be your ally."
But Raven had turned away, hiding disbelief and shock about what secret the stranger had just told. The man slipped Raven a piece of paper, then sadly walked away, turning a corner and disappearing. Raven glanced at the paper. 'ESPionage, clairvoyant. I will send you a package with advice. I can't reveal too much, though, for fear of damaging the future. The other Titans don't need to know. If they wish to scan the box, let them. They won't find anything suspicious.'
Raven came out of her flashback. This wasn't the only time Espionage had sent a package. Raven had found a message about the trio of child heroes on the inside of a roll of toilet paper, and one about the Brotherhood's attack inside a stapler. But Raven was worried about this message. Why was Cyborg in trouble? How could she doubt the too obvious and believe some of it at the same time? She would soon find out.
Starfire, in a different part of town, was nervous as well. Galfore's ship as the Supreme Ruler of Tamaran had just landed. As Galfore disembarked, Starfire saw that his face was lined with concern and fear.
"G'norfka, I hate to mention this, but I do not believe that the people of this planet are quite accustomed to witnessing a spaceship landing in their city," Starfire rather awkwardly greeted Galfore.
"There is an emergency," he said simply.
"Galfore, what is the problem on Tamaran?" inquired Starfire nervously.
"Val-Yor and the Gordonians are bombarding Tamaran. If we cannot stop them, Tamaran will certainly be destroyed," said Galfore monotonously.
"This has come at... a very bad time," Starfire said. "All the enemies of the Teen Titans, including my sister Blackfire, have gathered to destroy us as well. But why would the Val-Yor wish to ally himself with the Gordonians?"
"That answer is simple," Galfore replied. "They both have a hatred for our people, and even the enormous ego of Val-Yor does not prevent him from teaming up with other hated species."
Starfire and Galfore stared at each other, looking for the answers in the other's face. Suddenly, Starfire's face lit up.
"I have a solution!" Starfire exclaimed. "If I can convince Blackfire to save our people, then Tamaran would be saved, and perhaps we can have defeated one of our own enemies!"
"I would agree with that, were it not for one thing," Galfore remarked. "Blackfire would want to join the evil alliance."
Starfire's eyes sunk. "Then what are we to do?"

Hmmm... I dunno what they're going to do. Maybe I'll just let Tamaran blow up or something. I still have two more Titans to story-ize.
Back at Titans Tower, Beast Boy was doing what he does best... coming up with crackpot theories. This time it was about Terra. Why couldn't she remember? And why did she come back? Unfortunately, everyone else was busy, so Beast Boy had to present his ideas to Silkie. "All right," Beast Boy began, revealing his blackboard of theories. "I have a few ideas. First off, it was Larry, accidentally bringing Terra to life! Or, wait wait, maybe it was an earthquake that shattered the rock! Or maybe that's really a clone or a robot of Terra, and the statue is in Slade's hideout as a decoration!" Silkie had fallen asleep on Beast Boy's beanbag chair. "Yeah... good idea," BB said, falling into his bed.
Robin, in the training room, was beating the stuffing out of a punching bag. He didn't know where Red X was, he didn't know where Slade was, or the Brotherhood's new hideout, and he didn't have any advantage over them. Robin felt as though he had failed as a leader. He took a swing at the bag, and it broke off the chain. Then he took a deep breath. Robin tried to relax as he thought of strategies. Besides, he hadn't lost anyone yet... had he?
The Power Plant...
Killowat was on the power lines, drinking in the electrical energy. He loved it out here. Suddenly, a brightly colored rubber rope stretched from nowhere and snatched his communicator. "Presto-changeo!" announced the Amazing Mumbo as he became visible. Killowat was taken by surprise as Mad Mod flipped onto the lines from the ground and balanced on his cane. He then agilely landed on his feet and zapped Killowat with a blast of energy from his cane. As Killowat fell, Mumbo shot more rope out like Spiderman and caught Killowat in a cocoon of rubber. Killowat tried to shock his way out, but the rope was unaffected. "Oh no, my duckie, you should know by now that rubber doesn't conduct electricity," pointed out Mad Mod as he gave Killowat a thwack on the forehead with his cane, rendering the hero unconcious. "That went splendidly," Mumbo said proudly, and high-fived Mad Mod. Another hero was captured.

Cyborg was rushing to avoid the cops. He had already broken through a roadblock, set up traps for the police to fall into, and practically flew the T-Car through traffic. Raven was trying to figure out a puzzle that Espionage presented her with, also struggling to reach a decision on whether to reveal the messages to the Titans. There was no need to before, they didn't tell her much, but now.... Starfire was coming up with plans to save Tamaran, most of them shot down by Galfore. Beast Boy was finding theories on Terra, getting them comically wrong as usual. And Robin was going through a period of self-doubt. Where were the Brotherhood? Taking down Titans, one by one.
The Brotherhood's lair...
The Brain was ecstatic. So was Slade, his new equal partner. They had taken in six Titans out of 30. All without the other Titans noticing. The Brain was holding them in old-fashioned ice, but he had a bigger plan for when all the Titans were captured. "Time to take out another chunk of the Teen Titans," Slade suggested. "Cheshire and Fang will be delighted."
Melvin, Timmy, Teether, and Bobby were walking in a clear patch of ground in the forest. For dramatic effect, it was night. Suddenly Bobby stopped. Cheshire's claws were digging into his back. He flickered for a moment, then tried to swipe at Cheshire, but she kept scratching at him. Soon, Bobby flickered and imploded. Melvin shrieked, closed her eyes, and concentrated. A T-Rex appeared out of nowhere, baring its fangs. But Cheshire stuck her claws into it, and teddy bear stuffing oozed out. The T-Rex vanished. Timmy let out a supersonic scream, and Teether spit out bullets of dirt. But Fang snuck up behind the trio of kids and paralyzed them with venom. "Sweet work," Fang commented. Cheshire purred contentedly.
Below the Arctic Circle...
Kole and G'narrk were relaxing in their underground haven when Overload and Plasmus attacked. Kole pulled out her communicator, but Overload zapped and, well, overloaded it. "Don't worry, we can take 'em," Kole reassured G'narrk, who was cowering at the pure electrical technology Overload was. Kole turned into a boomerang, and G'narrk threw her at Plasmus. But when Kole sliced through Plasmus, he rejoined together. "Okay, this might be harder than I thought," Kole corrected as she brushed the goo off herself. Overload had G'narrk in a corner, lashing out with its arms, while Plasmus was backing Kole down. They had lost for sure.

Titans Tower...
Robin was suspicous. Took him long enough. "About half of the honorary Titans won't answer their communicators. Something's up, and I'm willing to bet that the Brotherhood of Evil is behind it," he told the three assembled Titans. Cyborg was currently waiting for his one phone call to come to him. "Plus, Cyborg hasn't reported in. Beast Boy, you go contact him. I'll go locate the nonresponding honorary Titans' communicators to see where they are. Any other ideas?"
Starfire spoke hesitantly, knowing Robin's current fuse was, oh, about an inch long. "Um, I believe I might," she said carefully. "If I could contact my sister Blackfire, we could come to an agreement. You see, my planet is under attack, and..."
"Go ahead," Robin interrupted. "Raven, you haven't said anything."
"Is that surprising?" Raven asked.
"...No," Robin admitted finally. "Fine, I'll go back to finding the others."
"Cy, come in Cy," Beast Boy yelled into the communicator. "This is Officer Wulf Ram, who is this?" came the reply. "Wait, you're a police officer?" Beast Boy asked, startled. "Um, Beast Boy of the Teen Titans."
"Oh, I see," Officer Ram said. "Cyborg, here's your arm back. I think this is your one phone call... if that's a phone."
"BB, I've been thrown in jail for 'extensive property damage' or something. What's going ON?!" Cyborg pleasantly greeted Beast Boy. "Jail? Property damage? What's going on there?" Beast Boy retorted. "I think I just told you," Cyborg replied. "Well, the Brotherhood of Evil might be taking out Titans, Tamaran is under attack, Robin is like a bomb that can go off without warning, you're in jail, I can't get over Terra, and... uh, that's it," Beast Boy spluttered. "Well, hope you can fix everything without me, cause I got three months 'till my hearing. They took away my limbs because they have weapons and a phone and all these gadgets. They're considering taking away my eye, too. It's almost like when... no. Not you," Cyborg said to someone off the screen. The line went dead.
"I've got a link on the honorary Titans," Robin exclaimed. "The Titans East are in their Tower, Killowat is at the power plant, Kole and G'narrk are in their haven, and the kids are moving through a forest clearing... or at least, all their communicators are there."
"Wait," Raven interjected. "The kids aren't responding?"
"I'm sorry, none of them are," Robin said, trying to comfort Raven. "But if they're in trouble, we'll find them and save them. Don't worry." Raven was flying off to her room already.
Starfire had established the galactic being link to Blackfire and was trying to get a signal from her to talk. She finally got through and her eyes lit up. "Sister, I come to you with unsettling news," she began. "Our planet is being attacked. You must assist."
"Why should I care? Tamaran turned their backs on me. I'll turn my back on Tamaran," Blackfire said coldly. "But this is Val-Yor and the Gordonians!" Starfire pleaded. "Sister, save our planet, please!"
"Wait, the Gordonians? The slimebag bounty hunters?" Blackfire asked, a vein pulsing in her temple. "I'll do it just to blast them out of the sky. We'll take seperate ships. Meet me in two hours. We'll each be alone."
"Thank you, sister," Starfire gushed. "Tamaran may consider rethinking your sentence for your crimes!" A sinister grin curled Blackfire's lips. "I'll keep that in mind," she said.

Thanks for all the support, Paranoidguy. Glad you like my first fanfic so far. Oh crap. Cyborg getting into legal action for his heroism is looking a little like the beginning of the Incredibles. Oh well. Moving on.
Robin was barking out his strategy, still a bit unstable, but more relaxed. This was his kind of situation. "All Titans should get in groups, carrying communicators within easy reach at all times. Any suspicious heists or crime should be reported in. Warn us if you're attacked."
"That's not going to do us much good," Hotspot pointed out. "I mean, most of the Titans that have maybe been caught were in groups, and they had their communicators in reach. And I think they knew whether to call if they were attacked."
Robin suddenly blew a gasket. "You think you could do better?!" he yelled. There was no answer. Robin stormed into the chair, watching for distress signals and keeping his communicator open.
Starfire met Blackfire at the proposed point. The T-Ship and Blackfire's stolen craft were both there. The Tamaranians said nothing and boarded their vehicles, then blasted into space.
When they got near Tamaran, they saw a fleet of Gordonian ships led by Val-Yor's craft. They were surrounding the entire planet. Every so often, a Gordonian vessel would blow up and spiral down to the planet's surface. Both Starfire and Blackfire had shocked expressions on their faces. However, Blackfire shook it off and flew towards the blockade, shooting Gordonian ships down rapid-fire. Starfire did the same, using the T-Ship's powerful multi-laser array to mow down the Gordonians. It was difficult to work all of the controls at once, but Starfire had experience with spaceships. Val-Yor himself turned around and flew towards the T-Ship, firing without letup. Starfire avoided him and ducked down through a gap in the Gordonian fighters, still blasting at them. Val-Yor copied her move, but Starfire kept barreling down nose-first, shooting the rear lasers at the anti-Tamaran ships. When Starfire was about to hit the ground at an abandoned site, she suddenly pulled up, skimming the surface and pulling up. Val-Yor, despite having an advanced craft, tried to pull up, but severely damaged his own ship's tail. He spun out of control and crashed, plowing up dirt. Starfire had a smoother landing, activating the T-Ship's landing gear and touching down gently. The Gordonians, shocked, turned around and concentrated their fire on Blackfire, who deftly dodged all the lasers and blasted the Gordonians. They were not having the best of luck at this time, so they decided to pack it in. All the fighters flew past Blackfire's craft and went into hyperspace. Blackfire touched down, and the Tamaranian sisters exited their vessels. Val-Yor, not caring about his ship as much as revenge by now, punched through the cockpit and flew towards Starfire. Without warning, Blackfire did the same, grabbing Starfire from behind and holding her back. Starfire gasped. What else can you say when you've been double-crossed?
Jump City Prison...
Cyborg was held on a metal platform, at a slight and being restrained by clamps made of a specially designed alloy. From the shadows came Cyborg's mysterious attacker... Brother Blood. He was carrying a toolkit, filled with all sorts of disassembling and modifying hardware. "So, do you like my workshop?" Brother Blood asked rhetorically. "A little more drab than the HIVE Academy, but it'll do. Can you believe that I bribed an entire squad of police, and got the use of their cars, then wrote up a false case file for you, all to capture you? Obsesse, you might say. And I would answer yes. I just need the thrill of finally defeating you, to be triumphant. And when the Brotherhood of Evil is done with you, I shall personally destroy you. But now, it's time to just get a little taste of that." And, upon saying that, he got to work with his tools.

Welcome back, Cipher. Okay, now it's time to have fun with our old pals the Teen Titans.
Beast Boy was wandering the city, headed towards the high school. It was late, but he was curious. He had hacked into the computer system and looked up the high school student who looked and sounded like Terra, then figured out where he might find some of her DNA to match with Terra's. It was troublesome, but hey, it wasn't like HE was being attacked.
Beast Boy skittered into "Terra's" locker as a spider, and found a hair. He escaped unnoticed. Then he went back to Titans Tower.
Once Beast Boy was back inside, he ran "Terra's" DNA sample through the DNA scanner, then compared it with the real Terra's. It was a match. Beast Boy was ecstatic. That meant she really was Terra, and I can stop putting her name in quotes.
Meanwhile, Raven was in her room, with a new package from Espionage. It contained an instruction booklet for a video game. Raven flipped to the back page that no one looks at, and found a new message. It said, "The kids are captured, but safe. Don't worry, you'll be reunited with them soon." Raven was unsure if that meant she would be captured or if that meant they would rescue everyone soon. She set down the instruction booklet and went to ponder on the roof. The booklet flipped to the middle, where there was another note saying, "You should be with Beast Boy. Trust me, in a couple years he's more attractive." [Author's question: can I use that on a Y7 show?]
Somewhere hot and south...
Pantha, Hotspot, and Wildebeest had formed a group. They were staying in a base when they were called by a local to help with an emergency. When they got there, they found a few Brotherhood members. Pantha reached for her communicator and almost got it open when Angel whacked it out of her hand with her wings, then engaged her in combat. Hotspot got his, but Trident speared it, then commanded a stream of water (new power cause I said it happened) towards Hotspot. Wildebeest's communicator was crushed by XL Terrestrial stepping on Wildebeest's hand. The evil trio was joined by Cinderblock (going for Pantha), Andre le Blanc (attacking Hotspot), and Atlas (on Wildebeest). Each hero split up and fought against their duo of foes. Hotspot was weakened by a torrent of water that Trident sent towards him. "Oh ho ho, a little wet, are you?" le Blanc joked. "Here, allow moi to warm you up, no?" He then threw sticks of dynamite at Hotspot, which exploded and sent a wall crumbling down on top of the flaming hero. Wildebeest attempted to make a dent in Atlas, but he didn't even move. He picked up Wildebeest with one hand, and threw him towards XL Terrestrial, who kept him restrained. Pantha put up a good fight by kicking Angel out of the way and trying to body slam Cinderblock, but to no avail. Cinderblock replied with a punch to the face that sent Pantha sprawling, where she was concussed by Angel's wings. Another group of young heroes had been silently eliminated.

In response to the authors note, yes. I've read stuff 100 times worse on this site.
This was good, except 1 thing. The DNA and analysis seemed way too smart for BB.

I'm sure that BB's seen DNA analysis and stuff on TV a hundred times. And hey, he hacked in to find Raven's birthday, right? :anime: ...Okay, maybe it doesn't work. But, um, it works now:sweat:.

Naw, there's no major problem. And its too late to change it now, so we should just let it go. Yes, BB has his moments, but doing a DNA analysis on his own initiative? Anyhoo, I'll drop it for now and let you get back to writing.

Great Chapter. But like Cipher already mentioning, Beast Boy thinking of DNA sampling Terra is a bit technologicaly advanced for him:D . Even so, the story is great, and I like the direction it's taking:cool: . Your doing great, and keep up the good work. BTW, when did Beastboy hack in to find Raven's B-day? Don't know when or where that happened...

Hello again, my two readers. Time for me to FINALLY add another chapter.
Starfire and Cyborg subdued under suspicious circumstances? Strange!
Raven was exiting her room when she saw Beast Boy practically skipping down the hall. "What are you so happy about?" Raven asked. "Titans are going down left and right."
"I know that Terra's back!" sang Beast Boy. "I took a DNA sample from her locker, then compared it with Terra's DNA from the tower! And it was a match!" Raven sighed. "OK, who told you to do this?" Beast Boy looked taken aback. "Um, no one. I figured it out on my own." Raven stared at him. "Fine, I saw the DNA stuff on TV. But the rest was my plan."
After Raven left Beast Boy to party in his own room with Silkie, she was surprised to find an envelope in the doorway. She checked the tag. Yes, it was from Espionage. Once again, Raven rushed to her room, tore open the envelope, and found a piece of paper. That was a new hiding spot. But it wasn't a hiding spot. It was a letter, saying to meet him later at the abandoned and unnoticed warehouse.
Back on Tamaran, Starfire learned what was really behind the attack on her planet. "You see, Star, I hired Val-Yor and the Gordonians to attack, then agreed to help you because I knew I was your only hope. When we arrived, the Gordonians didn't fire at us, they fired into space so we wouldn't be blown up. Then I betrayed you and... here we are," Blackfire finished explaining. "But I won't take you to the Brotherhood yet. Not until my prize can be properly rewarded. Because right now, other Brotherhood members are bringing in heroes. If I turned you in now, I'd get the same. But if I wait, I can claim a bigger reward." Starfire tried to think fast of what she could do to escape, but couldn't. Blackfire took her to her ship, and restrained Starfire. Then she turned on a hidden camera inside the Brotherhood's lair and waited.
Thunder and Lightning were already in a group in the stormy sky, so they paid no attention to Robin's order. Too bad. They would have lasted longer. Because then, Lightning was dragged by Killer Moth's whip to an army of giant moths, led by Kitten and Killer Moth himself. [Yes, that's already been done.] They pounced on Lightning, who tried to fight back, but he was finally knocked unconcious by Killer Moth. Thunder was clubbed in the back of the head by a shield. Private HIVE was there with Punk Rocket. Punk Rocket blasted his guitar at almost full blast and knocked Thunder out of the sky. Private HIVE caught him, hanging on to Punk Rocket's guitar.

Thunder and Lightning destroyed? When the heck did that happen? You can see them clearly at the very end of Titans Together. Yes, Blackfire is quite clever and willing to get the highest price. Time for a short little chapter.
Tramm, who had been working on a ship when Robin gave the order, and hadn't heard it, was alone in the sea. The Puppet King and Kardiak had found his cavern. Puppet King wrestled with Tramm for a while, then Tramm found time to grow to his Incredible Hulk-like self, tossing Puppet King aside like a doll. Oh wait.... Anyway, Kardiak slammed Tramm, who picked up a toolbox and pitched it at Kardiak, who sucked it up through one of its tubes. Puppet King had gotten to his feet, and threw himself around Tramm's neck, but he took no notice. Instead, he was fighting Kardiak, and was thrown against the wall, squashing Puppet King. Kardiak, however, grabbed Tramm and pulled him with its tentacleish tubes, causing Tramm pain and holding him back from flailing.
Red Star, at home in the bleak tundra of Russia, had bad reception, and couldn't hear the part about staying in groups either. Adonis and the INSTIGATOR burst in, catching Red Star by surprise. The villains threw Red Star outside, where he plowed into the snow. But that melted when a bright red aura surrounded Red Star. He flew at Adonis, who was blasted back, slightly smoking. INSTIGATOR met Red Star in midair, each trying to get the upper hand. But INSTIGATOR was weakening, going back down to the ground. As soon as they touched down, Adonis stepped in, the pair forcing Red Star back. Somehow, they managed to get Red Star buried in the snow, with them on top of him. The villains punched Red Star multiple times, and finally knocked him out, miraculously.
Kid Flash and Jinx really didn't need to find someone else to stay safe. They made quite the team. How wrong two heroes can be. Not about that they made an excellent duo, they did. But they could have done with a couple of friends for backup. Because as they were separated and walking back towards each other, they were attacked. Johnny Rancid and Ding Dong Daddy rode to Kid Flash, bearing down on him. Johnny accelerated, and Ding Dong Daddy shifted into a recently added turbo. Kid Flash saw them and tried to run, but even with his amazing speed, it was almost neck and neck. Almost because the evil riders were catching up.
Jinx, on the other hand, found Psimon and Katarou waiting. She sent out bursts of pink bad luck at the streetlight beside them, causing it to topple onto Psimon, who, in turn, blasted it off of him. He then shot Jinx, sending her into Katarou, who sent her sprawling onto the sidewalk with a kick. They dragged her off.
Kid Flash had been caught up to, and was trying to shake them off or crash them. He only managed to scrape his own shoulder on a wall when he made too sharp a turn. He clutched his shoulder and, unwittingly, lost a bit of control and smacked into a wall. The vehicle riders were slowing down, and Ding Dong Daddy strapped the dazed Kid Flash into his car.

Time for Chapter something-or-other.
On a distant mountaintop...
Jericho had been unable, for obvious reasons, to get anybody to come to him, and he had no way to quickly get off the mountain and to another Titan. That was very unfortunate. Because Warp stepped out of a portal with Control Freak in tow. Control Freak zapped a few of his TV buddies out into the real world. The Offworld Outlaw, 7-GORM-7, the Darth Vader person that I forget the name of, and the creature from Jones Lake all came towards Jericho. He couldn't get through them, and it was impossible to mind-control something with no mind. Jericho was trapped and easily defeated.
Herald had finished packing his limited possessions and was about to blow his horn to go to one of the remaining Titans. Suddenly, though, the Master of Games teleported himself between the Herald and the portal, accompanied by the HIVE headmistress. The Master of Games pressed his amulet, and Herald's horn got sucked in. He gained a blue hood and the ability to create portals from his mouth with a horn note. The Headmistress continued the battle by delivering a kick to Herald's face. He went down to the ground. The Headmistress beat him up a little more, then the Master of Games created a portal to the Brotherhood's hideout.
Argent and Bushido were meeting at a certain point to group up, then they would be joined by the Herald. But Argent, on the way there, was stopped by Mother Mae-Eye and Professor Chang, who each had a wonderful supply of minions in tow. Knowing Argent's lack of skill facing armies, she was overpowered quickly, and encased in xenothium concrete, or whatever that stuff is.
Bushido had already gotten there, since it was closer to him. He saw someone coming, and thought it was Argent. But no, it was Wintergreen. And coming from the other direction was Steamroller. Steamroller clubbed Bushido in the back of the head, and he collapsed. Trying to get back up, he met Wintergeen's fist. At least he was back on his feet, although being captured by Steamroller's very strong arms.
The Brotherhood's still secret hideout...
"The honorary Titans have been eliminated," the Brain gloated. "Now the Teen Titans will have nowhere to run. "Oh, Cyborg won't be running, and neither will Starfire," Slade said. "Brother Blood has Cyborg, and is taking him apart, while Starfire was captured by her sister on Tamaran, both of them having used impressively complex plans." Seeing the look of puzzlement on Monsieur Mallah's face, he added, "I put hidden cameras on them."

Dang, I had some stuff last night, but the power blipped. Oh well, I'll just do it again.
Raven met Espionage at the arranged warehouse. Espionage had donned a cliche'd black trenchcoat, with an innovative white swirl on the front. His hair was up in large white spikes, his eyes held a slightly manic glint. Raven was surprised, to say the least. "What's that for?" she asked. Espionage replied, "My new costume? It's my evil look. Haven't you figured it out yet? My name. Espionage. It means spying to get information. I'm working for the Brotherhood!" Raven completely lost it. Her four eyes were glowing red, and she was growing taller. "I knew that would happen," Espionage said coolly. He hadn't even flinched. Then he took out a heavy laser weapon from behind his back. "Even I don't know where that came from," said Espionage surprisedly. Raven blasted a torrent of dark energy towards him, but he fired the weapon, which countered with a ball of green laser energy. It dissipated Raven's dark energy and hit her, knocking her back about a foot. "I finally came up with a substance that could neutralize your powers," Espionage explained. "It doesn't only fire laser balls, too." He then pressed a button on the side of the weapon, and a glowing green net enveloped Raven, then forced her to shrink back down. It caused no pain, but prevented Raven from using her powers. She slowly turned back to normal, and tears actually began to form in her eyes. "This is the third time I've been betrayed," she choked. "I can't believe you." Espionage's face held something strangely like pity. Then it disappeared, to be replaced by a curling sneer.
Beast Boy's partying had ceased, as he realized that he didn't know where to find Terra. He had gone to a different end of town, quite apart from most people. But he heard footsteps, and turned to find Terra. The camera only showed her face, but then zoomed out to her whole body. She was wearing her Slade's apprentice outfit. Beast Boy gasped. "Terra?" he managed to make out. "Why are you..."
"I came back to my master," Terra said. "You destroyed my life. Now I'm going to bring you to the Brotherhood as painfully as possible."
"What are you talking about?" Beast Boy exclaimed. "I can only remember running from you, but Slade told me the rest," Terra started. "The Titans came towards me. You beat me. You brought me down to Slade's hideout, and threw Slade to the bottom. Then you forced me to cause an eruption that covered Slade and turned me to stone. When Trigon came to power, I was like everyone else; stone. Then I came back to normal when he was destroyed. I couldn't remember anything of my previous life. Then Slade came to me. He convinced me to get my memories back. And I swore vengeance on the Teen Titans. Especially you."
"Those are all lies!" Beast Boy yelled. "You came back to Slade, and he beat you for running away. I found you, and the Titans followed. You took out your fury on Slade, accidentally causing an eruption. You sacrificed yourself to save the city, but it took too much power, and you turned to stone. I guess the part after that is true; I couldn't have said how you came back. I won't fight you."
"That'll make it easier," Terra jeered. She launched a rock at Beast Boy, and it hit him in the stomach. Beast Boy sank to his knees. Terra smiled with a cold gleam in her eye.
Later, the four Titans were brought to the Brotherhood. "Excellent," the Brain said. "We have Cyborg, Starfire, Raven, and Beast Boy. Time to bring down Robin."

Robin was called to the middle of the city by an alert. He didn't know if he'd be coming back. When he got there, he found Slade waiting. With him was Red X. "Slade," Robin snarled. "Robin," Slade countered. "Red X? I thought you wouldn't join the Brotherhood after all the good you've done. I guess I was wrong," Robin said contemptuously. "I guess so," Red X taunted. He then raced towards Robin. They traded blows and blocks for a while, then each fell back and used their weapons, also getting nowhere. Then Slade stepped in and delivered an uppercut to Robin's jaw. Robin landed, still standing, and tried to hit Slade, but Red X stopped him by shooting a line of sticky X tape and tripping him in midair. Then Red X rolled it up, encasing Robin in a cocoon of red.
When Robin was delivered, he was still very conscious. "What are you going to do now, freeze us again?" he spat at the Brain. "At first, I considered that out of pure irony," the Brain admitted. "But then I suggested something better," Slade finished. "You'll see what later. For now, join your other comrades. They've been waiting for quite a while for you to arrive."
None of the other Titans looked very hopeful, or happy to see the main group. They were held with cuffs designed to resist them. Jericho had a blindfold on. Then the Titans realized where they were. They were in a corridor with a lot of doors. The doors had Titans' names on them and seemed to be rooms for two. Robin and Starfire got one and smiled as they entered. "It'll probably be like a cell," Robin was saying, then he saw the room. It looked like the two had decorated themselves. Everything was how they liked things. "On second thought, maybe not," Robin continued. "Why would an organization bent on killing us give us such great rooms?"
Nobody else seemed to care very much. Mas y Menos got a room together, which was predictable. Aqualad and Tramm were quite at home in a gigantic tank of water. The rest?
Hotspot and Speedy
Cyborg and Bumblebee*
Kid Flash and Jinx*
Pantha and Wildebeest*
Melvin and Bobby (who broke through the wall to make a conjoined room with Timmy and Teether)
Bushido and Killowat
Thunder and Lightning
Jericho and Herald
Kole and G'narrk
Argent and Red Star*
*(All the rooms with a boy and girl in them had a button on each side of the front wall that dropped a divider.)
After looking in desperation as all the other Titans found their partner, Raven groaned and saw that her room was going to be shared with Beast Boy. The pair of them walked in despairingly, as they had both been betrayed. Perhaps it would be easier to communicate than they thought.

Robin was staring at 30 communicators. One by one, they disappeared until only one was left... his. Robin picked it up and opened it. Red X's face appeared, and he laughed, and Robin suddenly saw that he was surrounded by mirrors. One of them reflected Slade, and Robin dove through it. He saw Starfire there, looking sadly at him. A Birdarang detached itself from his belt and zoomed towards her. She was hit, and replaced by Terra, who flickered between her Titans and Slade outfits. Then she was replaced by Espionage, who aimed his giant laser weapon at Robin's head, then... Crack! Lightning was flashing, and Espionage was really Slade, throwing off a trenchcoat. He was next to the Brain, who had Madame Rouge and Monsieur Mallah behind him. Brother Blood and Blackfire suddenly appeared there, and screens were behind them, showing all the other Brotherhood members. Then screens appeared behind Robin showing all the Titans. Robin suddenly was being pulled apart by mechanical arms that protruded from the Brain. Robin gasped his last breath... and woke with a start. Starfire was sleeping on the other side of the room, Silkie [somehow, the Brotherhood got him there] curled up on a nearby beanbag chair. Robin sighed and stared up at the ceiling. What did that all mean? He fell back asleep, and in a few minutes had forgotten most of his dream.
It wasn't too late in the night, though, so Raven and Beast Boy were still lying awake. It sounded to Beast Boy as though Raven was trying to stifle... were those actually sobs? Beast Boy was feeling very uncomfortable. He didn't know whether to say anything or not, so he decided not to. He wasn't feeling very cheerful himself. Beast Boy finally plucked up the courage to say something. "Raven... are you... okay?" he asked clumsily. "I'm fine," she replied quickly, but didn't manage to hide her distraught. Beast Boy got up, crossed the room, and sat down on the edge of Raven's bed. Raven was facing away from him, but she half-smiled. She sat up and put her arm around Beast Boy. "Don't worry about me," she told Beast Boy. "You've been through the same thing." Beast Boy smiled too.

The next day, all the Titans were escorted to the Brotherhood's arena, where they would compete against villains. After that, the top 8 heroes and villains would go against each other in a grand tournament. If a hero won, they would be released. If a villain won, they would be given access to a room only the original Brotherhood members could enter.
The arena challenges began fairly smoothly. Herald beats Puppet King, then Warp beats Herald. Jericho beats Andre LeBlanc, then Gizmo beats Jericho. It went on like this for a while. Then Starfire faced Blackfire, and all the sand was turned to glass. Unfortunately, Starfire and Blackfire were fighting too hard to notice, so Starfire blasted her sister, who dodged the starbolt. It hit the floor, which exploded. Robin gasped "No!" as shards evaporated on the invisible force field wall that separated the stands and stadium. The Tamaranian sisters blocked their faces, but an entire glass floor shattering is not an easy thing to dodge. Raven was called to provide medical attention, and a few other Titans and a couple villains followed to help. Robin was in a state of shock. Beast Boy stood up to help, then promptly fainted. Red X muttered, "I wouldn't want to be those guys..." to the Master of Games, who shook his head in agreement. Slade seemed more concerned about replacing the floor than the well-being of Starfire and Blackfire.
When Raven came back, Robin grabbed her by the shoulders and demanded, "Is Starfire going to be all right?" Raven replied, "They both are. They got gashes from the glass, but we managed to patch it up. I'm grateful so many people wanted to help." Robin sat back down and sighed with relief. Raven walked back over to where she was, pausing to give a quizzical look at the unconscious Beast Boy.

Sorry for the long wait (if there's anyone waiting), but I had chapter writing on Word and then I had to restart the computer. :( Anyway, here's my next 'chapter.'
The arena was suspended for that day because the floor under what had been sand was concrete, and not ideal for flying heroes or villains that got knocked out. So, while Slade looked for someone who would sell him about a ton of topsoil, and the other leaders discussed, with the Brain as the head, who had showed the most promise. Meanwhile, all the heroes were unnecessarily given a guard that disliked them (or so it would appear).
Robin was so relieved when Starfire came into the room with bandages on her arms, legs, and stomach, that he launched himself at her and pulled her into a tight hug that made her wince and blush at the same time. Then their guard, Red X, sidled in and tried to direct Starfire's attention from Robin. "Hey, glad you're OK..." But Stafire cut him off. "If you find me attractive, I would much rather you pursue my sister instead." Red X looked taken aback. "Actually... I tried. They're still stitching her up, though." Starfire had a look of slight concern, but Robin pulled Red X aside. "Look, what are you doing with the Brotherhood?" Robin demanded. "You've done good before. Now you've pledged to support an organization that's pure evil!" Red X seemed unconcerned by these accusations. "Look, man," he muttered to Robin, "I'm just playing for the winning team. I don't want to be a prisoner. I'm just an ordinary villain now. For now. And forget me ever going back to the good side!" he added loudly. Robin understood. The Brotherhood had listening devices everywhere.
Cyborg and Bumblebee got, predictably, Brother Blood. He entered on Cyborg's side; the thick divider had been lowered. "There's one BB I like to see, and you ain't him," Cyborg shot at Brother Blood without looking up from his workbench. "Weak, by your standards," Brother Blood returned. Then he swooped down upon Cyborg. "What are you doing?" he asked curiously. Cyborg fumed. "Working on designing a new T-Car, since your police buddies totaled my old one!" he yelled. "They did? I must give them a bonus," Blood mused. "If you're going to build something to escape, think again. Nothing can break these walls, and if you're going for the exit, forget that too. My HIVE drones, Slade's and Immortus' robot armies, more species of aliens than you've ever imagined, and Terra's bizarre rock creatures are guarding every exit and entrance. Plus, this entire facility is home to a host of criminals who would be delighted to fight you. And, on top of that, all the villains know the Titans' powers, and will protect against them. For example, when in the halls, the humans and aliens all wear mirrored sunglasses to negate Jericho's power. It's a classic technique for avoiding eye contact."
After this speech, Cyborg roared with laughter. "What's so funny?" demanded Blood. Cyborg smirked and said, "You just gave me a run-down of the entire security system. Thanks."
"Not all of it," grinned Brother Blood knowingly.
Beast Boy had predicted that a traitor would be their guard. He was, miraculously, correct. For character development purposes, Espionage walked calmly into the room. It took most of Raven's self-control to stop herself from throttling Espionage. Beast Boy, not having seen him before, was glancing over him. Espionage gave a swift look at Raven, whose eyes were slightly redder than they should be. Then he turned his gaze away, and spoke to the wall instead. "I must seem like I've always been a traitor," he said. "Seem? Don't worry. You're way past seeming like a traitor," Raven hissed. "Did you catch the 'always?'" Espionage continued. "You must realize that a year before the rise of Trigon, when we met, I couldn't have possibly been working for the Brotherhood? They didn't even know of the Teen Titans then. And once they did, you never saw me with them when they first attacked you, and nearly had you? No, I was still on your side when the Brotherhood of Evil first captured all the Titans," he finished. It seemed like he wanted Raven or Beast Boy to catch on to something he had said, a hint he couldn't say in front of the listening Brotherhood members. Neither of them had seemed to, though Raven was calmer now, since she realized that he hadn't been plotting this since their first meeting. He couldn't have been before a month or so ago. "You know I had to work for three months before I could develop an energy that could break through yours?" Espionage said in a stab at casual conversation. "Of course, I never intended to use it against you then. But... well, the uses I had for it look ridiculous, thinking back. Now it seems practical. There's a multitude of weapons I could make with that stuff. Bombs, cannons, security weapons..." Raven couldn't understand why he was saying this; she had figured that out on her own. Was it another clue? "Anyway," Espionage continued, "you should get some rest. That tournament's not exactly a walk in the park, you know." He then left to stand guard outside the room.

Good long chapter:D . Sorry, I forgot to reply to the last chapter, which was pretty good. So, it looks like Espianoge has an ulterior motive. Very interesting... Red X making his move on Starfire was a nice touch, lmao:evil: . Can't wait for the next battle.

NOOOO! I lost most of what I had written! Sigh... I'll just start over.
The next day, the Titans found their escorts to the arena waiting outside the door. Espionage was still there; it looked like he hadn't moved. Then the Master of Games, who had actually made the cut, announced the tournament matches for the first round.
Robin vs. Slade
Starfire vs. Blackfire
Raven vs. Espionage
Beast Boy vs. Terra
Cyborg vs. Brother Blood
Jericho vs. Master of Games
Aqualad vs. Madame Rouge
Red X (apparently, he was the best facing villains) vs. Monsieur Mallah
The arena seemed a lot larger. In fact, it was twice as long as it had been, and was rectangular. Suddenly, a wall sprang up that divided the arena in half, then others that divided the halves into quarters. Now all the matches could take place at once.
Robin and Slade clashed with all their might. Robin got out a few Birdarangs and hurled them at Slade, but he got a pole from his waist, drawing it like a sword, and blocked the Birdarangs. Then Robin got out his staff, and they began dueling. They blocked each other’s blows for a while, then Slade brought his down on the middle of Robin’s and split it in two like always happens. This time, though, he decided not to pull another one from thin air, and instead drew his sword-thingy. With a few slashes, he had split Slade’s staff. Then Slade threw his pieces at the sword and it bent 90 degrees. Robin tossed it aside and threw another Birdarang… directly into Slade’s right eye socket. But instead of a squelch, there was a clink. Slade chuckled and pulled the Birdarang out. “Do you think that I would decide not to show that eye if it was there? Of course, I prefer not to talk about it, but…” Robin was mortified. Then it passed, and he used the window of opportunity to pull out some of those bubble thingies and throw them at Slade. Using the time while his eye was blind, he punched Slade in the stomach, picked him up, and tossed him into the wall, where he slid down and groaned.
Raven was trying her best to get past Espionage's gun, which was now sprouting a dome that absorbed the dark energy. He didn't seem to care about attacking, but was lazily blocking the attacks. He then suddenly changed his strategy, advancing and forcing Raven up against the wall. Then he shot a net out from the end of his gun and walked up to Raven. Then he spoke for the first time in the match. "You didn't get my hint, did you?" he asked quietly. He paused. "I'll take your silence as a no. Remember how I said 'I was on your side when the Brotherhood first captured all the Titans?' The Brotherhood didn't get all the Titans last time, did they? This time is the first time they've managed it." He winked, then released the net. Once he did, Raven immediately split the gun with her powers, which she had conveniently forgotten to do earlier. Then she gave him a kick in the chest and sent him sprawling. Fortunately for him, she didn't use her full power at all.

Congratulations, we are now a red envelope.
Beast Boy, stung by Terra's false memories, decided to bring her down and force the truth into her. However, the first thing Terra did was slam Beast Boy in the stomach with a rock again. Then she knelt down to his level and whispered to him like Espionage did. (The Brain didn't suspect anything because he thought they were taunting and tormenting their opponent.) "Beast Boy, I'm sorry," she whispered. "I really do remember everything. The machine was only supposed to recover part of my memory, but it brought everything back. It couldn't work. I want to be a part of the Titans." She looked like she could have kissed him right then and there, but obviously really couldn't. So instead Beast Boy just gave in, and she made him sink down into the soil.
Starfire and Blackfire were fighting once again, clashing green and purple dots from the ground. When they lowered somewhat, Red X was tossed to the top of his wall. He climbed up and sat on the wall, watching the two girls, then got pulled down by his cape. Eventually, the Tamaranians had to touch down and take a breather. Starfire, however, recovered much quicker, and rushed towards her sister. It was a little unfair that she couldn't defend herself, but hey, Blackfire would have done the same thing.
Cyborg had turned one of the walls into Swiss cheese with his sonic cannon and the fact that Brother Blood was good at dodging. Finally, he landed a hit, and Brother Blood slammed against the wall. “Boo-yah,” Cyborg smirked.
Jericho was trying to make eye contact with the Master of Games, but the horn MoG had sucked up from Herald was working to his advantage. Jericho finally got hit with an amulet beam and disappeared inside. MoG’s blue hood vanished, and his hand was replaced with Herald’s horn. At the same time, his eyes turned vivid green.
Aqualad was now struggling in waist-deep mud, and was trying to hit Madame Rouge with a jet of water, but she kept curving around them. When he sent a tidal wave after her, she grew her legs and spaced them wide so that the wave passed through the gap. Then she started beating him up.
Red X had Monsieur Mallah bent over, panting, when he trapped him in a large X. Red X let out a short sniff of laughter, then turned his back as Monsieur Mallah was teleported away, having obviously lost.
The Brain, perched on a balcony where he could announce to the stands and competitors, spoke. “Well done, villains, and I suppose the heroes deserve credit too. It is now time for the second round!” And half the walls shot back down into the ground, leaving four fighting areas: Red X and Madame Rouge, Cyborg and Master of Games, Raven and Terra… and Robin and Starfire.

Starfire clapped her hands to her mouth and gasped. Robin staggered and had to lean against the wall for support. Blackfire's determined, burning gaze at Red X was making his shoulder smoke through the force field wall. Raven was glaring furiously at Terra. Madame Rouge was stretching before battle... in all kinds of directions. Cyborg was charging his sonic cannon. The Master of Games had his horn raised to his lips, and his eyes were shining.
Then a bell sounded from nowhere. MoG let out a trumpeting bugle call, but didn't make a portal. (He was just using it as a trumpet.) He and Cyborg ran at each other. Madame Rouge and Red X were dodging and ducking every second. Raven and Terra's eyes and hands glowed. And Robin and Starfire stood stock-still, looks of incredulity still on their faces.
Finally, Starfire spoke. "Robin, I do not wish to hurt you. You have more fighting ability than I. You should go on."
"Star, I won't...." Robin broke off. Starfire had fired a starbolt directly into the mirrored surface of his shiny R badge, and it had reflected to hit her. Starfire stayed down, and the Brain declared Robin the winner. His mask was moist, though, as his girlfriend was teleported to the stands.
Cyborg was firing sonic blasts at the Master of Games, while he tried to either suck him into the amulet, mind-control him, or suck him into another dimension. He seemed to lean towards the former, red blasts colliding with blue. Blackfire suddenly glanced over at their corner, surprised to see purple flashes. Then MoG hit Cyborg, and his non-trumpeted arm turned into Cy's sonic cannon.
Blackfire turned back to Red X and Madame Rouge, who were fighting fiercely. Nobody seemed to be winning or losing; it was almost perfectly matched. Almost because Red X managed to sever Madame Rouge's arm.
He used the interim while she grew it back to plant a square kick on her forehead, and she collapsed on the ground, unconscious.
Raven and Terra were dueling ruthlessly. Black and yellow flashes alternated in the stadium, and Raven nearly lost a hand to a particularly jagged stone randomly placed in the battlefield. "Nice warmup, but I think I'm ready now," Terra jeered. She didn't seem to be kidding, however, as she sprouted those wonderful rock hands from the ground. Up in the Brotherhood leader's box, Espionage and Slade were discussing the battle. "This is a very intriguing match," Espionage commented. "There's just one thing that I can't understand, though," Slade frowned. "What's that?" the other inquired. "I never put any rocks on the field. It's soil, and under that's concrete, and under that is a force field."
Meanwhile, Raven and Terra continued their power struggle. Raven was trying desperately to fight back the hands as they snatched at her, but they were relentless and numbered. "Just like old times, huh?" Terra remarked. "Our battle's one of those memories I cherish having back." She had an expression on her face somewhere between a maniacal smile and a snarl. One of the rock hands managed to keep hold of Raven's cape, and she was forced to shed it to stay in the match. "You don't know the half of your real life," Raven snapped. Suddenly, Terra flared up, and the hands clenched into fists. "Listen, you!" she yelled, and, caught off guard, Raven was forced to the ground by the rocks. Terra bent down to face her. "The Brotherhood thinks I'm taunting you. Keep up my act." Raven's mouth was agape. "What are you talking about?" she muttered. Terra folded her arms and shook with what would appear to be derisive laughter. "I remember everything," she whispered, a sneer curling her face. Raven struggled with her bonds, to appear as though she were furious. "Then what was the... next-to-last thing you said to Beast Boy before you stopped the volcano?" Terra then smirked. "It's never too late. But how did you know..."
"Beast Boy," Raven interjected, before suddenly shattering the rocks and seemingly becoming her demonic form.
Up in the box, Slade squinted and turned back to Espionage, saying, "Something's wrong. Raven's eyes are... normal." Espionage raised an eyebrow, but said nothing.
Raven was blocking everything Terra sent at her. Obviously, Terra wasn't really trying, to give Raven a chance to win the tournament, but she was putting up a good show. Raven finally came down upon Terra, a dark bird swooping down upon her and slamming her against the wall. She crumpled, unable to continue.
"Wonderful, wonderful," came the Brain's voice. "Now it is time to continue, with our semifinals." And the walls shot back down, leaving Robin and MoG a place to fight, as well as one for Raven and Red X.
Whew! Didn't think the Raven/Terra battle would be so long compared to the others.

The bell once again rang out from nowhere and the matches began.
Robin and the Master of Games were circling each other, waiting for opportunity. Then Robin threw a Birdarang and it very nearly struck MoG's amulet. But he stuck his horn in the way at the last second and the Birdarang dented itself and fell to the ground. Then Robin threw an explosive disk, and MoG foolishly decided to hit it with Cyborg's sonic cannon. The result was the infamous Sonic Boom, which threw Mr. Sonic across the room and severed the rope on his amulet, and knocked Mr. Boom off his feet. Robin then took out another Birdarang and turned it into that sword, then stabbed the amulet with it. (BLATANT DEATHLY HALLOWS REFERENCE!) Then suddenly Cyborg, Jericho, and Herald's horn appeared from nowhere. The effects of two new combatants and a brass instrument on the one-on-one battlefield remained mysterious, however, as MoG was deemed unable to battle and was teleported away.
Raven and Red X were staring each other down. Suddenly, Red X used his vanishing trick and reappeared right behind Raven, then shot out one of his many red X-themed weapons to tie her arms to her sides. Next he used some sticky xenothium X-tape on her mouth (her Robin X exploited weakness) and her legs. Now completely trussed and helpless, Raven toppled to the ground, looking up even pleadingly at Red X. He considered for a moment, signaling to the Brotherhood not to teleport her, and then ripped off the tape on her mouth. After she had winced, Red X said, "Well, I might be persuaded to let you go... if you give me a kiss," he finished, laughing. "Not on your life. Go run after Blackfire or something," Raven spat at him. "Every time!" Red X shouted in frustration. Then he violently shot another piece of X at her and sealed her mouth again, and she was out of the tournament.
"Now," the Brain announced, "it is time for the final match. The best of the heroes and villains... Robin and Red X. You have fought your way to the top. Prepare for battle." The wall lowered slowly and dramatically this time, and the combatants got out some weapons.
Robin and Red X hurled projectiles at one another, but they just negated each other and fell to the ground. Robin decided to finally take a staff from nowhere, and advanced on Red X, letting his staff be the one all the X's hit. When he got close to Red X, though, the masked menace dissolved and reappeared behind Robin. Robin jabbed backwards and hit him in the gut. Red X groaned and fell to the floor. But then, sweeping the ground with his legs, he managed to knock Robin off his feet, too, then sprang back up. Robin Birdaranged Red X in the leg, though. Then they went for hand-to-hand combat, with furious blows exchanged like they had planned it out. Finally Robin landed a hit, and Red X staggered. Robin used the window to hit him a few more times until he was down for the count.
"Robin, congratulations," the Brain boomed. "You have defeated four opponents and fought your way to victory. And for that, we very grudgingly fulfill our agreement to let you go free. But be warned; we do not intend for it to stay that way. You might have a lot to deal with soon. Goodbye, though... for now." And with that, the arena gate opened to the outside world, and Robin stepped through.
Thanks to those of you who are actually reading this. No, I'm not done.

That night, it was Terra's shift to pointlessly guard Raven and Beast Boy. When she got in, they backed her up against a wall. "Where are the cameras here?" Beast Boy muttered. "Your side has one in the symbol on How to make your Incantations Shorter, BB, you have one on your GameStation's fourth controller socket... no one would ever use it. And there's one on the inside of your bathroom door," Terra revealed under her breath. Raven and Beast Boy were mortified. "The bathroom?!" Raven hissed angrily. "That's just wrong."
"Well, only the Brain watches the cameras, and they're paranoid about escapees, and he doesn't have a body, so..."
"Okay, we get it!" Beast Boy interjected. "All right, let's do this."
Raven and Beast Boy put their plan into action. They looked positively furious, as Beast Boy violently plugged in all four controllers to his Gamestation, knocking out his camera, turned into an octopus, and played all four at once, blowing up hundreds of aliens. Raven yanked out How to make your Incantations Shorter and started reading, then gave it up and shoved it onto the shelf backwards, destroying her camera. Then, glowing black, she stormed to the bathroom, where the dark energy fizzled out the camera when she slammed the door shut. Then she burst back out. "All right, we can talk now," she announced. "OK, what can you do to help lower the Brotherhood's chances in a huge battle?"
"Well," Terra began, "My rock creatures are guards, and I can obviously help you fight, but other than that... I haven't been able to do much, since I'm not smart enough to build them technology."
"I, on the other hand," came Espionage's voice from the doorway, "am trusted with more. I have deactivate buttons for the security turrets. And I've befriended a few of the aliens. You remember, Raven, those that were in Herald's home dimension?"
"How could I forget?" Raven answered. "But what does that have to do with you?"
"Remember how they shook off your powers and hurt you?" "Oh, don't tell me..." Raven groaned. "That's right," Espionage grinned. "They were the source for my energy. Turns out they just don't like people wearing blue cloaks. I've grown rather fond of them, actually."
"I thought it took you three months to come up with the energy," Beast Boy piped up. "It did," said Espionage. "One month to find the creatures, one month to build a portal, and one month to build the energy gun." Terra laughed.
Robin wandered through the city junkyard. When he found the hole, he jumped in, and found himself in Fixit's lair. When he came across the hermit, though, it was the latter who spoke. "You need a new vehicle or weapon?" he asked. "No, I need your help with a battle," Robin said. "I am not suited for combat. Why can the Titans not defeat this foe alone?" inquired Fixit. "All the other Titans were captured, and it's everyone we've fought. So I came to ask you to lead a band of repaired robots to help us overthrow them." Fixit considered this. "If the opponent also has an army of robots, perhaps I can take control. Yes, I will help you."
Later, Robin was landing on Tamaran, the inhabitants of which were still cleaning the wreckage of the Gordonian battle. He was permitted to speak to Galfore, and pleaded before his throne. "Galfore, I need your help to rescue Starfire and the other Titans from the Brotherhood of Evil. Will you come with assistance?" Galfore sat deep in thought. "The Tamaranian warriors are not so easily convinced. What do you have to offer them? They care little for Starfire, since she passed the crown to me."
"I can offer them a chance to defeat Blackfire, and another chance to defeat the Gordonians." Galfore nodded his approval. "Yes, you do seem to have a point. We desire revenge on both of them. I shall ready a group of my best warriors and come to Earth soon to assist you."

The next night, the foursome gathered again in Raven and Beast Boy's room, discussing battle strategy. "All right, when Terra, Red X, and I were working on the rooms," Espionage was saying, "Convenient really, but anyway, we built secret passageways into all the rooms that led to a giant assembly room. That room has a door that blends in perfectly with the lobby wall and opens into the lobby. We, that is to say the three double agents, will show the other Titans where they are. Yours is..." He glanced around the room quickly, then strode over to Beast Boy's large television that was directly against the wall. He pressed a button on the side of the TV (no one would ever think to push a button on the actual set) and a hole appeared in the middle of Raven's floor, two halves of the section sliding apart to reveal a chute. "Right there," Espionage grandly concluded. He pressed another button on the TV, and the hole closed.
Robin, somewhere else, finally found the Doom Patrol's base. "Mento," he gasped, having had to hack through the forest, "I need your help. The Titans have been captured by the Brotherhood of Evil, who recruited every villain we've ever faced, and I need to gather an army to beat them."
"The Brotherhood of Evil?" Mento cried out. "Of course we'll help you! Just say the word and we're there."
Later, he stumbled across a hidden palace, brought there under the recommendation of a random soldier. When the door opened, a battle-worn yet eager-looking man stood there. "Robin, of the Teen Titans!" he shouted in surprise. "I am General Gryphus. What brings you to the palace of the Empire? And how did you find it?"
"Never mind that," Robin said briskly. "I need to speak to the Empress. It's urgent." When he was brought before the throne of the Empress, a woman who, despite some appearances, was definitely NOT Swedish, she simply raised one eyebrow in mild surprise. After a second or two, she said "Robin? Surely you are not surrendering before we get the pleasure of beating you?"
"What?" Robin said confusedly. "No, I need the help of your army. The Teen Titans have been captured, and I'm trying to strike up a resistance force to beat them. Can you help us?"
"Hmm..." the Empress thought, clearly relishing the opportunity to make the leader of the Teen Titans squirm. "As exciting as it is that you are here, and as delightful as it is that this is being recorded on security cameras, I care not for your matters. I have other things like world conquest on my mind. As it is, I hate Raven with a passion. Good day, Robin." He turned away dejectedly, his eyes resting for a moment on the dragon in the corner and the general standing lazily next to it. "Fine," he sighed. "I guess I'll just let the Brotherhood destroy Raven, then. Won't really matter to you." The Empress' eyes narrowed. "Destroy Raven?" she repeated. "That... would be my job. And as sure as I am that that was simply a ploy to get my help, I shall indeed. General Gryphus!"
"Yes, your Highness," he barked. "Ready a legion of well-armed men," the Empress boomed. "We shall go to war!"

It was still the same night. The familiar four were gathered again, but were on divided sides of the room. Beast Boy was talking to Espionage, and Raven to Terra. "Raven, I know what's going on," Terra told her. "How do you know?" Raven asked. "Because the the lights are about to explode with your conflict. You can't decide between Beast Boy and Espionage." Raven blushed, and one of the lights popped. "Yes," she admitted quietly. "How do you decide?" Terra looked a little uncomfortable. "Well, that wasn't really a problem for me, so I couldn't really tell you from experience. But I think you should do what you think is best. I can't decide for you." Raven smirked. "You don't want me to choose Beast Boy, do you?" Terra blushed this time. "You know another reason I was so cold to you when you were in the Titans?" Raven said. "I saw that Beast Boy always liked you from the moment he saw you." Terra was completely red now. "Oh, go on and go for it," she told Raven, giving her a little push.
"So, what do you think?" Beast Boy asked Espionage. "I already know what's going to happen. If I gave you an opinion, it would be skewed towards the eventual result, wouldn't it?" Espionage reasoned. "You're no help," Beast Boy fumed. "I just can't figure out what I really want. I'm being pulled apart here." Espionage raised an eyebrow. "Which side's pulling harder?" he asked.
The divider lifted, and Raven and Beast Boy walked towards each other. "Hey," Beast Boy started. "I think I've made a decision," Raven said awkwardly, stepping a little closer. "Yeah... so have I," Beast Boy replied, shuffling his feet. Before either of them knew it, they had thrown themselves at each other and kissed. They stood there, entwined, for what seemed like an age, then finally broke apart, flushed. Espionage crossed the room to Terra, who was looking somewhat crestfallen. "Do you know what's going to happen to them?" she inquired. "Yep," Espionage stated. "...Are you going to tell me?" Terra prompted. Espionage looked at her for a second. "No," he laughed.
Starfire was in her now lonely room, sighing. Red X entered cautiously, stumbling and "accidentally" disabling a camera on the stand. "Kindly leave," Starfire said coldly, without turning around. "I've come to show you something," Red X explained. Then he took a staff from Robin's closet (he only needs one) and a passageway opened up in the ceiling. When Starfire and Red X had crawled through the tunnel, they found themselves in a large room where Raven, Beast Boy, Espionage, and Terra stood waiting.
"All right, Red X, you and Terra are supposed to be on guard duty, so I'm the only one that won't raise suspicion if I'm in the corridors," Espionage informed the masked anti-hero. "I'll be back with a pair in a bit." He climbed through a passageway, and in a minute or so, Aqualad and Tramm came back out. Eventually, everyone was there. "All right, all we have to do now is wait to hear the sounds of Robin coming with an army."
A ways away from the Brotherhood's hideout, Robin stood waiting himself. Finally, Fixit came to him with some scavenged robots. Then, Tamaranian ships landed, and Galfore came out with about two dozen men. Still wordless, they saw the Doom Patrol come too. Then came the Empire. General Gryphus had roughly the force needed to take on a dozen Brotherhoods. Tanks, bombers, and around a hundred and fifty men came over the hill to meet them, with the General wielding a lethal-looking sword, and the Empress herself, toting a grenade launcher. Robin slapped his forehead. "Gryphus... we can't get tanks and planes into the building!" he shouted. "They won't fit through the doors, and the walls and ceiling are reinforced to take on every weapon known to man or superman." He then got into a tank and fired a missile at the wall. It was disintegrated before it hit the building. As Robin got back out, the General looked like he wanted to strangle Robin and use his internal organs for target practice. "Very well," he said in an unnaturally calm voice. "Men, you heard him. All but the grunts, back to base." The Empress looked somewhat sad to see those perfectly good weapons unused. Suddenly, something started to happen. There seemed to be something coming out of a wormhole. Then, a midget wearing a costume popped out of nowhere. "Larry the Titan is here to help!" he called loudly and annoyingly. Robin groaned. "Fine, as long as you don't zap me into nowhere again," he conceded. "All right, men, women, and robots, let's do this!"

Robin went up to the door, and the Empress blew it off its hinges with a grenade. The approaching army barely got in the building before the entire Brotherhood of Evil showed up and sealed off the exits. Fortunately, they didn't know about the secret meeting room, which burst open as the Titans charged into the lobby. Slade yelled "You!" in fury as he saw the three traitors fight for the Titans. He then pressed a button to activate the security towers, but Espionage took out the override and deactivated them. Slade, Blackfire, the original Brotherhood, and Brother Blood were all on a random balcony, watching instead of fighting. Fixit's robots were taking on the Brotherhood's, the Empire soldiers were battling Slade and Brother Blood's army, the aliens Espionage had befriended were taking on the Space Monster and the "Thing," and Titans and villains were everywhere. Gryphus was fighting Katarou and the HIVE Headmistress at once. Galfore and his Tamaranian warriors were cutting through the Gordonians. Robin was teamed with Red X yet again to ward off a slew of villains including Killer Moth, Gizmo, Cinderblock, and Professor Chang. Starfire was dueling Val-Yor, while Blackfire looked ready to spring into action to take his place. Cyborg was locked in combat with Atlas, with the strange feeling of being gypped out of something flashing through his mind. Raven was fighting Malchior to protect the kids, while Espionage tried his best to help, but got slammed into a wall. Beast Boy was beating Adonis down, and trying to avoid Mammoth. Terra had flown up to the balcony on a rock that shouldn't have existed, and was throwing pebbles at the leaders, who were attempting to retaliate. This provided an excellent distraction for the Empress to blow the balcony apart with a couple grenades, having used most of them to blow up a lot of robots. "General!" she called over the din. Having knocked out his opponents from blood loss, Gryphus came scrambling to her. "I need more grenades!" she told him.
"I'm afraid I can't do that, ma'am," Gryphus replied.
"Why not?"
"We loaded our spare grenades into our tanks," Gryphus told her through gritted teeth.
"I've got one left, don't worry," she assured him. She then fired her last one at Raven, who was saved by Espionage's uber-useful energy gun.
"Hey! Watch where you point that thing!" Espionage shouted.
"Oh... sorry," the Empress said unconvincingly.
Eventually, all the non-central villains lay unconscious, while some of the heroes were leaning against walls or doubled over. Then the Brotherhood leaders went on the offensive. Well, except for the Brain. He was snatched by Mento, who attempted to break through the exits to escape. Frustrated by failure, he detached the brain casing and lobbed the rest at Monsieur Mallah's head. It made contact, and the gorilla toppled to the ground. Larry the Titan's fragile finger had been broken early on, and had resorted to hiding behind Robin before being hit and knocked out. The Empire's two best were still fit, but the Empress was out of grenades. Slade, fighting Robin and Red X, suddenly whipped a button and pressed it. A hole appeared in the ground, and a bomb rose on a platform, firmly anchored. Then he made a hand signal, and the villains broke away, heading towards the door. Madame Rouge stole the Brain from Mento and laughed. Something must have happened with the security system that a villain activated, because the door opened. General Gryphus and the Empress stole this opportunity to flee with the villains, being near the door. No other Titan could get there in time, however, before the door slammed shut.
"Well, we're all trapped in a room with a time bomb that's going off in five minutes," Robin informed the others. "What do we do?" Espionage, having obviously designed the bomb, smiled.
"We do this!" he cried in triumph, pulling a deactivate button out of his pocket. His face fell as he realized that the button had smashed. "It must have broken when I hit the wall," he admitted, and slapped his forehead. "All right, it's official. We're all doomed."

umm, wow, uhh, dude? consider putting in more paragraphs. i had a hard time following who was speaking and what not. otherwise, short, but good.

DAMN YOU, ESPIONAGE!
*grumbles* you and your stupid ray gun thingy that saves raven...

Yeah... good call about the paragraphs. You know what, I'll fix that now. And I can't let the Empire have a big evil scene just yet. There's another dramatic scene coming up next that I want to get through first.

"What do you mean we're doomed?!" Beast Boy had started to panic. He was running in circles, waving his arms over his head. "I could cut the bonds on the bomb to put it somewhere else," Cyborg put in. "I could zap it into another dimension," Herald offered. "We could use that grenade you're holding to blow the door open again," Terra suggested.
"No, no, and I'll get to that," Espionage replied. "Hitting the bomb with anything or cutting its bonds will cause it to automatically explode. The portals suck in stuff, but that bomb's not going anywhere. It's too firmly anchored. And yes, I did save this grenade, but the walls need to be significantly weakened to blow apart with a simple explosive like this. The door seals are a lot stronger than the old door."
"Why did you have to make this thing so strong?" Raven demanded.
"The Brotherhood would have gotten suspicious," Espionage answered. "Besides, I had a deactivate button before it broke. Wait a minute..."
"We don't have a minute to wait!" Robin shouted. "Just tell us!"
"All right, you know how only another diamond can cut a diamond?" Espionage prompted. "So with my device, the only thing that can dilute the explosion from this energy is... my siphoned energy."
"But you said that hitting the bomb would cause it to explode," Cyborg pointed out.
"Yes, but I plan on surrounding the bomb with shields, with bigger and bigger ones to dissipate the explosion. I should be able to at least limit it to this room. Yes, I can be sure of that. All right, if everyone can still move, you've got to get in the secret meeting room. I have to stay here and try to keep the explosion in the lobby."
"No!" Raven cried, realizing what Espionage was going to do. "You can't, there's got to be another way..."
"There isn't," he said hopelessly. "I designed this thing, and I know that this is the only way to stop it."
Most of the Titans got into the hidden room at once. Beast Boy and Terra looked back dismally, then clambered in. Raven threw her arms around Espionage and sobbed into his shoulder. "This can't be happening," she choked through streams of tears pouring down her face. "I can't lose you."
"Come on," Espionage said bracingly, as though he weren't about to be hit with an explosion. "You'll get through this. Now, listen carefully, because we don't have much time. Take this grenade. About ten seconds after the bomb goes off, it'll be safe to go out. Blow a hole in the floor and tunnel out. Then you'll be home free. And... good luck between you and Beast Boy." He pressed the grenade into Raven's hand, and she walked through the doorway to the passageway, closing it behind her.
"I know it won't work out between you," he whispered to the empty room. Then he whipped around to face the bomb. "All right, it's time for you and me to face off," he called bravely. He aimed the laser and fired. A bubble surrounded the bomb. He held his breath for a moment, then saw that it wasn't exploding. He then let out a loud yell and started to rapid-fire shields.
From inside the meeting room, the Titans heard the yell, the sounds of shields touching the floor, then a ding, and an ear-shattering explosion. It seemed confined, and there was no damage inside the protected room. But there was silence from the lobby. It was over.

Raven continued to cry, tears streaking her face, but she did accept the comforting arm Beast Boy put around her shoulders. After a few seconds, Robin solemnly opened the door. Dust was still floating around, making it hard to see. Raven didn't look to see where Espionage had fallen, or if he was in one piece, but took out the grenade and blew a hole in the floor. Terra started to dig a tunnel that the other Titans went through, no one saying a word. When they all got to the surface, they were met with a surprise.
They were staring down the barrels of several tanks. Two of their hatches were open, revealing the Empress and General Gryphus. "Hello, Titans!" the Empress called cheerily. "All we want is Raven, so if you would stand aside..."
"Never!" shouted Terra and Beast Boy, who immediately stepped directly in front of Raven. But Raven spoke from between them. "It's me they want. You can't risk your lives for me. I won't let you do it." Terra and Beast Boy were completely dumbstruck as Raven stepped through the gap and stared directly at the Empress' triumphant face. "If you want me, take me. As long as you don't hurt my friends."
"Oh, there's no need to do that unless they get in the way," the Empress agreed, sounding a bit like Dolores Umbridge. "Very well, very well. If you will allow General Gryphus to put on these restraints, we will depart."
Raven took another step forward, past Robin, who was at the head of the group.
"Oh, you're not about to do that as long as I'm around," came a voice from the middle of the group. Espionage was climbing out of the tunnel, looking hurt but definitely alive. All the Titans' mouths dropped open. Raven nearly fainted. He limped towards her, and brandished his still-intact laser gun at the Empress.
"Ah, I suppose you sacrificed yourself, and survived," the Empress laughed. "How touching. You get a few more minutes of life. Attack!"
The tanks opened fire just as Raven and Espionage put shields up around the Titans. The ammo never stood a chance. The Empress looked livid.
"Phil!" she cried. "Vaporize them!"
"Phil?" Beast Boy taunted. "Ooo, I'm really scared now."
"No, you idiot!" Espionage admonished. "Never use sarcasm at a non-threatening name. It always turns out to be..." The dragon seen in the Empress' throne room was swooping out of the sky towards them. "...really powerful," Espionage finished. Phil then blew a neutron blast from his mouth that destroyed the shield. Espionage's eyes widened. "All right... I got nothing." Raven turned to face the other Titans. "You see? I've got to give myself up. It's the only thing I can do." Espionage gazed into Raven's eyes, then seized her and kissed her. Beast Boy started to splutter. She retaliated, and they separated, both a little dazed. "I'm losing my patience," the Empress called to them. "Are you going to surrender yourself or not?"
"Yes," Raven said with confidence.
"Well then," General Gryphus said simply, calling off Phil and jumping out of his tank. "If you'll allow me." He put restraints on Raven that covered her entire hands and locked her wrists together, then another set that joined her legs and kept her from running. "Very well, Empress, we are ready to leave." He led Raven into the tank, then laughed evilly as he closed the hatch. The procession of tanks drove off, leaving the Titans utterly shocked. Beast Boy turned to Espionage, but before he could say anything, Espionage cut across, "This may sound cliched, but you and Raven weren't... made for each other. I think you like her more like a sister. I'm sorry that was unexplained. Now if you'll excuse me, I have an army to follow. Anyone coming along?" He paused. "I think the, you know, tanks kind of gave me a hint to what my answer is," Terra responded. Beast Boy nodded in agreement. "Fine. I'm going it alone again, then," Espionage said. With that, he sprinted off after the departing army.

The rest of the Titans were still dumbfounded, standing in the middle of the place where Raven had been taken away by the Empire. "... Did a bunch of tanks just come and kidnap Raven?" Beast Boy asked Terra.
"Yep."
"And did Espionage just come back from the dead and run off to save her?"
"Pretty much."
"All right, just checking."
"I guess the only thing left to do is go back to Titans Tower," Robin admitted.
"But the Brotherhood's still on the loose," Red X argued.
"I know," Robin said to him, "but we can't go through this entire thing again. We've just got to... get back to our lives." And they began the march back to Titans Tower.
Meanwhile, at the Empire's not-so-hidden base, Raven was held fast to a metal table by restraints that prevented her powers from working. Her limbs were splayed out, and two ominous-looking objects loomed above her. They were long steel rods that tapered off to 3-inch points, and they crackled with electricity. Phil was curled up in the corner, looking eager. The Empress, as usual, was seated on her throne, a triumphant smile on her face. General Gryphus was at a control panel, also ecstatic to have captured Raven at last. He was setting the power levels and position of the rods, and suddenly broke out in maniacal laughter. He pressed the On button and the rods lowered dramatically to face Raven's arms. Then they quickly pierced her arms, and she let out a terrible scream of pain. Apparently, the torture rods not only stabbed the victim, but gave them a painful electric shock. The rods retracted after about a second. Raven stopped screaming, but her breathing became shallow and uneven. General Gryphus' evil smile became even wider, and the Empress laughed. Phil looked pleased by the screaming. Gryphus' finger hovered over the On button, but he decided against it for the moment, going for verbal abuse. "Eventually, you will be fed to Phil, but for now, we're quite content with torturing you." Then without any warning, he jabbed the On button and the rods jabbed as well, striking different points in Raven's arms. Once again, she shrieked in agony, again the torture devices came back up, and again pleasure went across the room.
Outside the base, Espionage was met at the entrance by two tanks, which pointed their guns at him. He then fired two shots from his gun and sliced the barrels off the tanks. He put force fields around them, then walked calmly on. He walked past a door that seemed to lead into quarters for soldiers, a door labeled "Chemical Testing Lab, KEEP OUT," and found the throne room door, which was open. He peered around the corner, and saw that all the attention was diverted towards Raven. He saw that Gryphus was on the other side of the room, which meant that the rods were between them.
Gryphus was about to press the button for the third time when two green blobs came soaring towards the rods, and they snapped off their supports. General Gryphus yelled in fury, and then was silenced by the blunt end of one of the rods hitting him squarely on the forehead, delivering an electric shock and sending him toppling backwards. The Empress whirled around to see Espionage striding into the room. "You plan on beating me and my pet?" she asked him, raising an eyebrow. "How charming. But I think I would rather have some friends of mine finish you." She then pressed an intercom button on her throne and said clearly, "All soldiers come to the throne room and get Espionage immediately!" Espionage projected a force field onto the wall, so a few soldiers that were in front rushed headlong into the field and bounced back, creating a minor domino effect. The Empress seemed unimpressed, and called Phil. Espionage put a shield around himself just as Phil's neutron blast hit it, instantly destroying it. Espionage was about to fire a shield at Phil to buy a second of time, but Phil blew another blast directly into the barrel of the gun full of live energy. Espionage yelped in shock and threw the weapon at Phil's feet. He sniffed it curiously before it exploded, knocking him into the air, flipping him, and landing him flat on his back, knocked out. The Empress squealed in frustration, leaping from her throne. She took her refilled grenade launcher from beside her throne. Espionage ran at her and crashed into her, and the grenade she was launching fired upwards and exploded in midair. She punched him in the face, and he staggered backwards. Then he seized the other rod from where it had fallen, raised it with difficulty, and swung it at the Empress. It crumpled the grenade launcher, but the Empress had ducked down, and flung the grenade launcher, which was now on fire, aside. Espionage dropped the rod and it fell, clipping the Empress on the arm and making her stumble. Then she retreated back to her throne and pressed a button on the back of it. A panel on the wall flipped open, revealing another button. This one opened a passage, which she went into, and closed behind her.
Once she was inside, the Empress ran through the passageway and came out into a sort of cockpit. She pulled a lever, and the entire base began to shake. She strapped herself into the seat and chuckled.
Espionage staggered as the base gave a lurch. He went over to the control panel and released Raven's bonds. She slowly managed to move, but fell as she got off the table. Espionage caught her and helped her get upright. They realized that the exit was full of soldiers, and they walked to where Espionage had dropped the second rod. Raven was still too weak to lift it, so Espionage once again hefted it and thrust it at the wall. After a couple times of doing that, there was a decent-sized hole to get through. Raven and Espionage got out just in time; the entire base lifted off into space, the large hole sealing itself with the table thrown against it.
Raven certainly seemed to be a little stronger, as she could speak again. "You just didn't get it, did you?" she chided Espionage in a cracked voice. "I gave myself up so that you wouldn't come risking your life for me again."
"Then you don't know me very well," Espionage answered. "I'm the heroic type, surely you figured that out. I couldn't let the Brotherhood torture you and then feed you to a dragon." Raven smiled, and they started to walk to Titans Tower to meet the others.

Don't worry, you're only unconscious. The only thing keeping you breathing is a table slammed against the wall, though. And... I'm kind of running out of story for you to kill people. I'm considering making another story, something of a sequel, with Xiaolin Showdown, maybe you can have some revenge.

When Raven and Espionage returned to Titans Tower, a cheer came up from the gathered Titans (Fixit, Larry, the Doom Patrol, and the Tamaranians had all left already). "You beat the Empire!" Beast Boy yelled over the noise. Espionage turned to him. "Yeah, about that..." Raven collapsed onto the couch, smiling as she saw the kids dancing around. Starfire was hovering about, buzzing with excitement. Robin was listening to Espionage talk about the Empire adventure, while Beast Boy was actually focused on listening as well. Terra was talking with Raven, wincing as Raven showed her the places where the rods had pierced her arms. Red X was standing in the corner, looking bored.
After a few minutes, right as Espionage was saying, "...And now they've blasted off into who knows where in outer space," the alarm sounded. Some people from the Empire were attacking the city. Robin stood straighter, pointed towards the left side of the camera, and uttered the inevitable battle cry: "Teen Titans, GO!"
And... that's the end. I did say I was running out of story. Until I decide to make a sequel... goodbye.
