Yeah, this is the one 'freedom' thread you guys get. Still direct any general discussion to the Fan Club.
I second this. The discussion thread doesn't have to get cluttered with stuff that can easily go elsewhere.

neat new intro and ending! :anime:
recreate Lyoko that would be pretty amazing but wouldn't that mean recreating Xana? Odd watches Jims disco movie when he's down? :p Sissy on the news team can't be a good thing. nooo! not evil Xana William! :( tense moments in Lyoko. Williams powers are pretty unfair and jumping into the digital sea is nuts  its cruel for Yumi to say they all hate William like that. her personality since the end of last season is still going downhill. at least Jim got a good ending

"They've found a new person to hate" (referring to Sissy)
"Kind of like us with William!"
OUCH! That was...a bit unfair, don't you think? It's still unknown if William has any say in XANA possessing him, after all...

I know that was a bit mean. At least Aelita tried to reason with him.
There were some pretty neat scenes in this episode like Yumi faking falling off the side to kill that creaper and when Odd killed Yumi to save her.

I did not expect there to be a talkback thread for this. I loved today's episode. I'll just copy paste my thoughts from the Fan Club thread about this episode:
I didn't expect them to bust out new costumes right away in first episode. At least we have them in a new opening. The closing was awesome showing some history of Franz Hopper.
I loved William's XANA costume and his XANAfied sword. when he talked to Aelita, he referred to him as being a slave to XANA. wow I liked that part. He basically said they abandoned him.
By going into the digital sea, William is able to get into the net and into other super computers. My speculation: Since the gang can't go into the digital sea without being permanently devirtualized, Jeremie makes them new costumes that will shield them from the harmful effects of the digital sea so they can follow XANA into the net and into other Super Computers. They also will get new vehicles for the same reason.
Jim's disco made a comeback, that was almost part of the cliffhanger from the last episode. Jim was treated as a star. lol I wonder if he will continue about his old jobs that he does not want to talk about this season?
Today's episode number count is 66. They are not really dividing it by seasons and making the whole show seamless, that is very cool. Aelita performed nice today with her energy blasts, while Ulrich was horrible on Lyoko today. Yumi had to take out almost all of the creepers for him. He used to do much better. Maybe it was his bad day or something. Good save for Odd, devirtualizing Yumi just in time before she falls into the digital sea. The gand was talking about Franz Hopper as if he was dead for sure and will not be coming back. Jeremie said he was absorbed into the digital sea. That means kaput for him. Unless XANA saved him, but why would he do that? I think they will never find Franz.
I wonder is we will see William in real world again? Maybe he will go back to school and try to mess with the CL gang in the real world? No Sciphozoa this episode. I wonder if we will see it this season? Jeremie recreated sector 5 but took out the time limit. But XANA can still create monsters there. It was like XANA wanted for Jeremie to recreate sector 5 for him so he can send out William and try to capture Aelita. There is only one tower in sector 5. Looks like XANA does not need to activate it do do damage. Maybe where XANA is located (in another super computer) he created more towers that Jeremie's scan can't see. Maybe thats th new goal of the CL gang, to go after XANA and deactivate towers in the net? I wonder if Jeremie will recreate other sectors or the CL gang will just chase XANA all over the net?
So many questions, so little time.:anime:

I wish I would remembered to watch the 'Lyoko' marathon on Miguzi earlier to get a refresher. Hey, if CN was providing it, I should've taken it...
As for the start of Season 4...
Though we don't get any of the new 'stuff' we were promised, Jeremie & Aelita succeed in recreating at least Sector Five. Which brings back William to, as the episode title suggests. So, I guess William, via XANA's orders, is trying to eliminate Aelita permanently now? If so - it could be done now in the real world, after all.
Who would've thought Sissi would unintentionally bring Milly & Tamiya back together?
And Odd & Jim's subplot... good stuff. It worked out for both of them in the end - Jim's a disco legend at Kadic now!
Nothing I'm truly overwhelmed about to start things off, but there's definitely a lot of questions about XANA that still need to be answered. Thus, I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.
"William Returns": 3.5/5.

I get the feeling William and Xana weren't trying to destroy Aelita. I get the feeling they were trying to take her into the ocean so she too could be brainwashed like William is. If the opening is a preview of anything, William going back-and-forth between the real world and Lyoko will occur, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a new virtualizer location made to suit him either.
I'm glad to see Fran got them the info to rebuild Lyoko, though it would be nice to see the gang surf the net, but I still don't think Fran is actually gone for good.

The new Sectors are probably the net itself. Their new costumes and new vehicles are probably made so they can safely pass though the digital sea after XANA.

neat new intro and ending!
Actually, this ending has been used since Season 2...When shown during Miguzi, they use the credits shown at the bottom of the screen while promoting other shows...only non-Miguzi airings (after 6 pm weekdays and Saturdays) have used these end credits.
A fine episode for the Season 4 start. Nice to see Sissy featured already...she was kind of underused in the third season. William's situation has yet to be fully revealed but I have some definate thoughts (see Fan Club).
I have some problems with "recreating Lyoko" as they did but more info might satisfy me as the season unfolds.
Highlight: Definately Odd's offscreen shots to devirtualize Yumi before she fell into the Digital Sea. I had to rewind my DVR to rewatch it to make sure what happened.
Can't wait for the regular season premiere in a few weeks.
Please watch spoilers. If they don't add to the conversation, just don't mention them. If really needed, put up spoiler boxes. Thanks.
