What's Storm Hawks?

Looks pretty cool. It obviously takes a lot from Nerd Corps' other show, Dragon Booster, although I do like these character designs a heck of a lot better than Dragon Booster. The only reservations I have from the trailer is the voice cast. It seems to be a near carbon copy of Dragon Boosters', most of which grew very annoying to me.

Hmm...looks more Saturday morning-esque than Toonami to me. Could find a home after Ben 10 at 10:30 AM.

I could definitely understand that there needs to be more variety on Toonami right now, but after watching that trailer, Storm Hawks feels more like SatAM material than Toonami material to me. Now, an episodic Hellboy cartoon could very well work for Toonami, but judging by that trailer, I say that Storm Hawks has about as much maturity as a regular 4Kids dub, which is to say that it doesn't have a mature feel to it at all.

The fact that the trailer is housed under an actual 'Storm Hawks' section in the shows tab has me thinking this will be on regular CN, if it airs at all. If they had intentions of putting this on Toonami, wouldn't they have put this trailer up on Jetstream?

Yeah, it looks like Stormhawks won't be on Toonami, despite what some of us had thought.
The show itself looks...eh, I'll give it a shot, but it doesn't look all that great based on the trailer. The designs look overly 'Saturday morning'y, and I don't mean that in a good way.

Why am I not surprised?
*yawn*
Well, when the show premieres in September, watch it while you can because it'll likely join the likes of Dragon Hunters, Team Galaxy, Robot Boy, and Zixx as Saturday-only non-Asian acquisitions with a very short lifespan on the network.
Plus, there's not going to be a Hellboy series in the near future. Toonami will likely remain all-anime in the immediate future.
*yawn*
Sorry, but I'm feeling bored with this conversation and Cartoon Network as a whole. Which is probably why I'm not missing cable in the slightest.

What about Fantastic Four? Isn't that supposed to come back in June?
And I'd think Toonami would be the likely home of Transformers Heroes, although that might still be a little ways a way given the utter lack of information we've heard on it.

well, with Storm Hawks going to Sep, i assume Transformers is going to be on Satam, cause i think they'll be aired together.
But this means at least 3 new shows for sat(With storm hawks, Santo and Secret Saturdays are most likely going to be satam). Add Ben 10, Pokeman, and Some other canidates(Team Galaxzy, Code Lyoko, Robot Boy) we could have a 8-12 satam sched

Which is probably why I'm not missing cable in the slightest. It's times like these where you can just sit back and take in a deep breath of satisfaction... because, without the Cartoon Network, there really is nothing to fret or be frustrated over (though, I do still have my CN DVDs to fall back on).

All previous Transformers series to air on CN have aired on Toonami. I'm not sure where you go this 'Stormhawks and Heroes will air together' idea you keep talking about, but there's absolutely nothing to support it. Especially since it looks like Stormhawks will be here soon, and we still don't know much about Transformers Heroes.

What about Fantastic Four? Isn't that supposed to come back in June?People think that because the Silver Surfer movie is coming out (BTW, I'm convinced they made the FF sequel just so they could sneak a Silver Surfer movie to the public because the Four aren't exactly the most exciting superhero group on the planet) means that Cartoon Network's bringing back the show. They're contractually obligated for 26 episodes, so, it'll be back on.
But who's to say that they won't make it a Saturday Morning exclusive on the network during June before moving the series to primetime come July?
I mean, who said it was coming back to Toonami?
And I'd think Toonami would be the likely home of Transformers Heroes, although that might still be a little ways a way given the utter lack of information we've heard on it.Not to mention the actual name of the series. For all we know, Heroes could just be an in-house name for the new series and the actual name of the new show is Transformers.

Add Ben 10, Pokemon, and Some other canidates (Team Galaxy, Code Lyoko, Robot Boy) we could have a 8-12 satam schedI doubt they'd make it 8 - 12, more like 9 AM -12 PM E/P like it is now. An hour of Pokemon (because that's their biggest property in the morning), Ben 10, The Secret Saturdays, Santo, and Storm Hawks (let's face it, the show's going to be stuck at the death slot if it is Saturday morning bound and replaced by something like :robin: reruns afterwards).

Unfortunately I'm most certain Storm Hawks will be CN's new Dragon Hunters. Which has been treated even worse than Team Galaxy. I mean at least Team Galaxy got a few shots before they completely gave up on it.
CN has potential to build a great Saturday block this year but they'll probably blow it like they always do. Maybe a little promotion would help? It surely couldn't hurt.
All I gotta say is this would be a Saturday morning block that I'd find to be very worth watching.
09:00 AM - Pokemon Hour
10:00 AM - Ben 10
10:30 AM - The Secret Saturdays
11:00 AM - Santo
11:30 AM - Storm Hawks
Perhaps Storm Hawks will show up a little sooner though. If that's the case I could see them try it right after Ben 10 if it comes before Santo and Saturdays do (and it most likely will). But it'll move to 11:30 or bite the dust by the time they show up. Sigh...
Oh how I wish they would toss GX on Saturday morning and let Storm Hawks have a shot on Toonami. Heck I'd let Storm Hawks take over for DBZ or the Naruto encore as well but allas, its not going to happen.
Dunno about Fantastic Four hitting PT. Actually I'm thinking at 4PM in Miguzi with Code LYOKO season 4 at 4:30PM could be Miguzi's swan song. It seems all the episodes will be ready to air by then.

Well MAR (and Zatch Bell) are Shounen Sunday but it might as well be the same origin magazine considering how they're all written.

I can bet Code Lyoko and GX(But probably not) Would air on Miguzi's swan song.
At this point, i could imagine F4 maybe airing on toonami, or satam this summer to promote F4-2, but not weekdays. I do agree with Jeff Harris and Sketch on the sched, but i dont think Storm Hawks will fail(Goodbye Santo as of November 2007).

Santo? Fail?
When Mucha Lucha and El Tigre haven't?
You're not giving enough props to English speaking Spanish children my good sir. Consider if you will how incredibly well Telemundo does compared to other network broadcasters. Santo probably wont flop. At least not soon.
Also at this rate we might not even see Santo until November of 2007. We've never been given a date on Secret Saturdays or Santo but since Santo doesn't even officially have it's name yet I'd say Secret will come first and Santo might have to wait until early 2008 or at least late 2007.
GX can't air much if at all on weekdays (for premieres) until the Japanese season is finished. They're too close in number currently to do a decent weekday batch of premieres.

Well MAR (and Zatch Bell) are Shounen Sunday but it might as well be the same origin magazine considering how they're all written.Yeah, I was just generalizing for the sake of simplicity. Toonami needs a shoujo, a mecha/sci-fi, and a domestic superhero series at the very least. The rest of the block can be all shonen fighting series (and hopefully a sports anime or two), but at least three slots should cover those basic genres. Toonami usually had at least those staple genres covered and I hate seeing the block without them.

At this point, don't count on anything but a domestic super hero or perhaps another domestic. Sci-Fi is out unless they look beyond Gundam and they haven't cared about shoujo for years.

Well okay, as long as it's just fantasy. But the first time you put a shoujo on a prediction schedule. BAM! Right to the moon!

It was hard to tell from the low-quality footage, but if it looks better than DragonBooster's framerate, then I'd probably watch it. But it also looks like standard 'good team vs. evil team' fare...so...probably not.

The trailer looked rough, to say the least. I didn't like the voiceovers at all either. They're all nasal and forced.
It looks like it has potential, and it would be beautiful if the animations was smoother and cleaner. But it looks too simply for Toonami. I see either Miguzi or Saturday mornings for this show.
Speaking of which, perhaps this was supposed to be Miguzi's savior but since CN's hellbent on destroying the block perhaps they're just looking to dump it . . .

Actually, I don't think it's an hour long. It's just that the same episode is airing at 6:30 and 7:00.
Or my guide may be totally wrong. We'll find out for sure tommorrow when its up on CN's grids.
