Nice board! I like it.

And what better way to inaugurate my first post than with the continuation of the trivia thread? It's time to play Name That Quote!

"Meow."

Peace Keeper

Batman Beyond said it to Stalker in Bloodsport

new quote: "Have a dose of reality pal, you need it!"

:o

Peace Keeper
05-04-2001, 08:47 PM
:o

Batman Beyond's foot was caught in that circular ground trap. Stalker had Batman in some kind of choke hold from behind and said something like, "I've fought kittens with more tooth than you!" To which Batman replied, "Meow." Then Batman threw him into Matt's cage.

NEW QUOTE: "Have a dose of reality pal, you need it!"

whoah all these quotes......better rewatch all the other episodes without Inque in them, I've been watching the Inque episodes only and neglecting others

.......gimme a quote from an episode featuring Inque and i'll know the quote like the back of my hand.

that quote sounds like it comes from a spellbinder episode.

You're Right Aximlli! :) Now it's your turn to post a quote. When you know you're right, you can just write the new quote at the bottom of your answer. You don't need to wait for confirmation.

that's Terry from Revenant after Willie wrote I still love you in the girl's bathroom.

here's mine:

"Blast off!"

Peace Keeper
05-06-2001, 09:32 AM
"Blast off!" ANSWER:

:o Oh Inque. You are way to obvious. That quote was said by, Inque in the episode entitled "INQUELING." She causes the rocket at SHIMANO INDUSTRIES to fall sideways and shouts, "Blast off!" before it launches itself through 3 hangers and a petroleum truck.

NEW QUOTE: "Well they should have been prepared. Guess they were never in the Boy Scouts."

A GIRL NAMED TIFFANY: Um, like, did somebody call me?

It was one of the Jokerz in "Joyride", just after they bombed the blazes out of the Ts and their clubhouse in the stolen goverment aircraft. Why do I enjoy jokes that add insult to injury so much? :D

And now mine. Aqui es:
"Just 'cuz I look like this now don't mean I lost any I.Q. points."

Question:New in town?
answer: perpetually

:o That dialog is from DEAD MAN'S HAND. Terry and Melanie had just left the club. Terry asks Melanie if she is, "New in town?" To which Melanie (while in her best hooker stance) replies, "perpetually"

That was Zeta, from "Zeta", in his very first appearance on the show when he had a head shaped like a bicycle seat and didn't sound like one of Drew Carey's goofy boozer buddies. He said it in reply to something Max said to him, but I forget what offhand. Here's one I've posted before, but no one got...and it's a pretty easy one too, so I'm surprised.

"Ahh...the pustule pops."

"The pustule pops"? I'm certain that's not a quote from Batman Beyond... I'd have definitely remembered it. Where's it from?

Peace Keeper
05-10-2001, 12:02 AM
"Ahh...the pustule pops."

I think it was said by KING in A KING'S RANSOM. I'm not exactly sure when he said it, but my guess would be either when Miss Thorp brought him Paxton's illegal artifact collection, or when Paxton first admitted that he had the crown. So... am I right?

NEW QUOTE: "What? I like to watch...Is that so wrong?"

DR. BELCH
05-10-2001, 01:16 PM
Or, "You are correct, ma'am." That way, everyone's covered. ;)
King says it in "KR" to Paxton after he says that he can't give the Royal Flushers any money because it's all tied up in stocks...but just as King is about to split his skull with his blade, he begs for mercy and says he's got millions of dollars' worth of knickknacks they're welcome to. That's when King utters this, IMO, rather disgusting-sounding quote.

Your quote is from one of Ra's Al-Ghul's goons in "Out of the Past" while they're on the dock about to drop Terry's unconscious body into the drink to be eaten by alligators. One rhapsodizes at length about how the creature tears into his prey and drags it under. The other says, "Get help, Carl."
Now mine:
"Put me online."

Aximlli
05-10-2001, 04:52 PM
That's computer guy from 'Lost Soul'. I forget what his name was. He was talking to grand son, when was booted up again in the future. He said something like "I just want to see what's been going on in the world, that's all.".

Here's my quote:

"Who are you?"
"You're worst nightmare."
"You have no idea what my nightmare's are like."

There's two people in this one.

--Aximlli

Sable Phoenix
05-10-2001, 07:17 PM
That's one of my favorite quotes, actually.

Payback: "You're just a mean old man! You know that?"
Bruce: "Mm-hmm. And you are?"
Payback: "Your worst nightmare."
Bruce: "You have no idea what my nightmares are like."

That is just too creepy. You know Bruce's nightmares have got to be pretty awful.

Ok, here's an easy one...

"Remember, there may be some momentary discomfort."

Peace Keeper
05-10-2001, 09:51 PM
"Remember, there may be some momentary discomfort."

That quote was said by MR FREEZE in MELTDOWN. Backed into a wall by FREEZE, Dr. Stephanie Lake pleads for her life, exclaiming, "We were only trying to help you." <<liar!>> Raising his ice cannon arm, Freeze says, "Remember, there may be some momentary discomfort." Then he shoots her full of jagged ice shards. Weird...I was thinking about making that my next quote. I guess great minds do think alike.

NEW QUOTE: "Almost let down my defenses...and just for a kiss!"

Man of Steel
05-10-2001, 09:53 PM
Hey:

That quote is from one of my favorite episodes "Meltdown" Freeze says it to that one doctor that turns her back on Freeze when he was reverting back to his old self.

Heres my quote:

"You missed a great show the music, the dancing, the action.... what are you eating it smells..... gorgous.

Peace Keeper
05-10-2001, 10:26 PM
"You missed a great show the music, the dancing, the action.... what are you eating it smells..... gorgous.

ARGGGGG!!! MAN OF STEEL, what are you doing? I already answered the MELTDOWN QUOTE. Your quote was said by TERRY MCGINNIS in the episode, past. Terry saunters into the Batcave singing the song from the musical Bruce walked out on. He starts to ask Bruce about the food he smells, but Talia's presence startles him.

NEW QUOTE: Almost let down my defenses...and just for a kiss!

that's willie watt to batman in revenant when he was forcing blade to kiss him.

We both posted at the same time......take a look above. That was balls, Inque

That's more like it.

That quote was said by <who would have guessed?> Inque. in the episode entitled INQUELING Deanna comes home to find Batman and Inque fighting in her apartment. She hits Batman from behind with her briefcase and throws INQUE the mutagen. After INQUE injects herself with it, she says, "That's more like it." and throws Batman out the window.

NEW QUOTE: "I'M RIPPIN!"

Man of Steel
05-11-2001, 11:20 PM
Hey:

That's from the episode "The Winning Edge" when the student throws Terry in the TV's and takes the venom he says "I'm Ripping!"

Heres my next quote"

"So it's true we have a traitor in the group."

Don't know if it's what he exacty said but it's close, and this should be easy.

Peace Keeper
05-12-2001, 12:36 PM
"So it's true we have a traitor in the group."

Me thinks that sounds like Supes in THE CALL. Batman Beyond finds some kind of fused microchip (or microchip that fuses) under the control panel of AQUA GIRL's human fish tank. <<Do you remember when you all yelled at me for not realizing that the tank overheated? I still say that she is the lamest superhero I have ever seen. That episode was ridiculous. She was walking around the North Pole (or was it the South Pole) in bare feet!>> Uh... so then Superman say's the quote to Batman. I'm not sure if that is right. Here is a quote anyway.

NEW QUOTE: "Hey! Thumbalina! Take the glove!"

Sable Phoenix
05-13-2001, 04:07 AM
That was Kanos to Big Time in "Big Time". Good ep.

Now mine:

"I guess you know all about troubled kids. You collect them, right?"

Man of Steel
05-14-2001, 04:06 PM
Hey:

I think that's from the episode Spellbinder, Terry says that to Bruce when he's looking for some books in his house.

Heres my quote:

"You feel it don't you? Right through your suit, the heat is on Victor, and behold I shall be a light across the land and everything I touch shall wether and die."

That one's easy.

Peace Keeper
05-14-2001, 08:50 PM
<<Wow. You have really long quotes.>>

"You feel it don't you? Right through your suit, the heat is on Victor, and behold I shall be a blight across the land and everything I touch shall wither and die."

That quote was said by BLIGHT to MR. FREEZE in the episode entitled, MELTDOWN. Blight was royally pissed that Freeze shot his alter ego with his ice cannon hand, so he melted out of the ice and attacked Freeze.

NEW QUOTE: Hey Drifty! You got a purpose?

Sable Phoenix
05-16-2001, 01:12 AM
Hey Drifty! You got a purpose?

Nobody seems to know that one... I'll take a wild guess and say it's the Jokerz to Ro in "Countdown", even though I'm sure that's wrong. Some hints would be helpful.

Peace Keeper
05-17-2001, 09:16 PM
This is going to make it super easy now. You must give the characters name.

NEW QUOTE: Hey Drifty! You got a purpose?
The character also said, "You should look into getting a synthoid, Batfreak! It would give you something to do on Friday nights!"

Sable Phoenix
05-20-2001, 12:16 PM
That second quote makes it "all too easy".

The character was the synthoid programmer in "Terry's Friend Dates a Robot". Kind of a lame episode.

Ok, here's my quote:

"When you die, it will be by my hand, and no one else's."

Inque
05-20-2001, 05:43 PM
That's Stalker in the episode Plague.

Here's my quote:

This is Harris on the 6th floor!

Sable Phoenix
05-24-2001, 08:43 PM
But I'll take a wild guess. Is that from "Disappearing Inque"?

Since I did get the last quote right, I get to inject a new one and keep this thread going! C'mon, people, let's keep our trivia thread nice and active here.

"A word I rarely use."

Have fun with THAT one!

Bird Boy
05-30-2001, 09:43 AM
if ya wanna keep the thread going..then stop w/ the super hard trivia!! lol..
I'm taking a wild guess, but I think Bruce said that. dunno which ep or anything, or where he said it, who he said it 2.but I think Bruce said it..

-BB

Sable Phoenix

I'll expand a bit...

"It was unbelievable!"
"A word I rarely use."

That should make it much easier.

Sable Phoenix
06-06-2001, 08:57 PM
Does no one have interest in BB trivia anymore? Or is my last question too hard? Very well, I will expand it.

"It was like some big walking.... It was unbelievable!"
"A word I rarely use."

The elipsis is where part of the quote is that would just give it away. In any case, that should make it a lot easier.

Let's have some enthusiasm for the trivia, people!

Bird Boy
06-07-2001, 10:52 AM
I'm gonna say, it was from Golem, and Terry Said that to bruce (in which bruce replied "a word I rarely use"

If I'm wrong..then too bad!!! it's dang hard! lol

I've found that if the trivia is too hard, then ppl give up on it, so this one will be like iceing a cake..

"Hello Sunshine, and what's your name?"

Shouldn't be too hard...

-BB

Sable Phoenix
06-07-2001, 11:41 PM
My quote was from Earthmover. I'm really surprised that nobody got it; it's one of Bruce's that stuck in my mind the first time I heard it.

As for yours, Bird Boy, all I can say is that it's one of the Jokerz. Other than that I haven't a clue.

Bird Boy
06-08-2001, 09:26 AM
your kidding!!! Mine's so easy..just think back to a cold episode...

-BB

DR. BELCH
06-08-2001, 12:58 PM
"Meltdown". Freeze says it to Blight upon their first meeting. I was pretty sure I knew the "Earth Mover" quote, too, but I decided to give others a chance. Plus I couldn't think of a quote.
Now mine: "I'll breathe on the weekend."

Bird Boy
06-08-2001, 01:53 PM
doh, doh, doh, doh, doh..I know that one!!

Terry said it to Bruce because he had to go out, and because of his cracked ribs he got.

I dunno which episode it came from, or how he ended up with the cracked ribs..it's like on the tip of my brain!!!!!

Does my partial answer count?

-BB

Man of Steel
06-08-2001, 03:29 PM
Hey:

Terry said it in the episode "Curse of the Cobra" Part 2. Here is my quote.

"Here is when I'm grounded for life."

Bird Boy
06-08-2001, 07:20 PM
Easy as pie!

Terry in Rebirth, where he was about to call his dad on the phone (who, at the time, had the call gone through and he had not seen the bat in the clock, probably could have saved his fathers life from Fixx..by a couple seconds at least) in Wayne manor.

Mine!

"Maybe he already is.."

Hard Hard Hard... I should say. I'll give you a hint...a small hint..or maybe a BIG hint..oops..I said too much.. ;)

-BB

Sable Phoenix
06-08-2001, 08:46 PM
That was from one of the Big Time episodes I believe... what was the second one called? Terry said that I think... I need confirmation before I post my own quote...

Bird Boy
06-08-2001, 10:09 PM
nope sorry. Here's another clue

It's Big.. and it moves things

and that just names the episode it came from, not who said it.. :)

-BB

Peace Keeper
06-08-2001, 11:28 PM
"Maybe he already is.."

Finally. One I can answer. That quote was said by Willy Watt in the episode entitled, GOLEM. Willy and his dad are eating breakfast or something and a news broadcast about the golem comes on the vid screen. Mr Watt said something like, "I'm going to make who ever stole the golem real sorry." Under his breath, Willy replies, "Maybe he already is."

NEW QUOTE: The board has spoken.

Aximlli

Wow, I've been away for a long while now. Anyway that was from 'Revenant'; where Chelsea (sp?) turns the pointy thing to say no to Nelson.

My quote: 'Do it! do it, do it Do it!, do it, do it, Do it!..."

hehe, the quote looks funny if haven't seen the ep.

DR. BELCH

Borderline pornographic, if you've got a sewer mind like me....

That's from "Shriek", and it's the scene in the hospital where Bruce hears demonic voices in his head telling him to leap out the window (a favorite moment of mine). Okay...um....
"I'm toast."

Sable Phoenix
06-09-2001, 11:31 PM
Don't ask me WHY I remember this, since "Plague" was a dumb episode, but that "I'm toast" was when Batman was caught under a beam inside the burning Kobra building, just before Stalker pulled him out. Which led to a quote I used earlier, back on the other boards:

"When you die, it will be by my hand, and no one else's."
"Uh... thanks. I think."

ANY-way... "Plague" should never have happened since Stalker really looked like he died in "Bloodsport".

So, here's my next bit of trivia.

"Crumpets."
"Right. Crumpets."

Hah! That one sounds really funny taken out of context like that.

Aximlli
06-10-2001, 01:09 AM
That was from 'Eyewitness', when Barbera comes over to Bruce's and they're having tea, while Barbera complains about Terry.

My Quote:

"Wrong thing to say?"
"Is it ever the right thing?"

Peace Keeper
06-10-2001, 01:43 AM
"Wrong thing to say?"
"Is it ever the right thing?"

That dialog was said between Terry and Howard Grute, right after Howard told Cynthia that he only wanted to be "friends." <<These are almost too easy now. It's harder to think of quotes than answers.

NEW QUOTE: Give back the bag! It doesn't go with your shoes.

Sable Phoenix
06-11-2001, 02:59 AM
I'll guess; could it be from "Where's Terry?"?

Terry said it to the punk in "Hooked Up" right after he snatched a woman's purse. Said punk later turned up brain-fried after prolonged exposure to Spellbinder's VR machines.
Ohh...thinking up quotes is soooooo hard. Lemme see....
"I'll be wearing that dress you like."

Sort of a crossdressing theme aqui. ;)

Sable Phoenix
06-11-2001, 07:49 PM
"I'll be wearing that dress you like." That's Dana to Terry in "Rats". Ok, here's mine:

"Just as long as you don't touch it, taste it, or smell it."

Okay, that one's easy...

Peace Keeper
06-11-2001, 08:25 PM
"Just as long as you don't touch it, taste it, or smell it."

E-Z CENTRAL! Bruce said that to Terry when the Serastone begain to leak in in the truck, during the begining of the BIGTME episode. I believe the leak was caused by Karros, when he deflected a batarang which then ricocheted off the Serastone container. I love that episode!!!!

New Quote: "Your old lady's got some hectic moves!"

WHen Terry is in FoxTeca and Bruce replies, "You have to learn to think on your feet!"

If I am right then the next qoute is........

"I eat punks like you for breakfest!"

Sable Phoenix
06-14-2001, 01:21 AM
"I eat punks like you for breakfast." That's the coach from "The Winning Edge" when he found Terry poking around in the lockers.

All right, let's see if I can come up with a hard one here...

"I don't suppose I could convince you to let me go."

Actually that's pretty easy, but hey...

Bird Boy
06-15-2001, 03:27 PM
AH, it just came to me. That was Melanie/Ten from Dead Man's Hand (she said it to Bat's). Here's mine!:

"Such a big bandge for such a little wound."

That ones easy!

Peace Keeper
06-15-2001, 08:08 PM
Maybe it would be a good idea add a little variety to these episodes.

"Such a big bandge for such a little wound."

Batman Beyond said that to Bruce when he found the 2-way radio hidden under Brure's bandage. episode = SHREIK.

NEW QUOTE: How's that for breakin' news?!?

Bird Boy
06-15-2001, 11:18 PM
"NEW QUOTE: How's that for breakin' news?!?"

Y'all mind if I butt in here? This one may be easy, I dunno..

"You're scaring me."

Well, pick at your leisure.

Peace Keeper
06-16-2001, 03:24 PM
SORRY BIRD BOY! YOU GOT IT WRONG. And if you guyz can't think of a quote, don't answer.

"You're scaring me."

That quote was said by Batman Beyond in the episode entitled, ACE IN THE HOLE. Terry was reading off the names of chemicals Ronnie Boxer had in his lab. Bruce correctly predicted the last chemical, because it was the last ingredient needed to make serestone.

Looks like we need a hint for this one. I'm surprised. Anyway, here it is:

Combine that with "Look, I don't want to talk about this any more." The ep should pop right into your brain, and then you can give me a little payback with a hard quote of your own. <snicker>

New Quote:

"Undercover Ploy..."

This one's hard, but I think you might be able to get it.

Ahem. Okay. "Geez, Matt!" is from "The Winning Edge", when Terry's mom is accusing him of doing slappers and Matt is being a pest.

Okay, my quote... hmmm... gotta think of a good one here...

"One night always makes a difference."

Bird Boy
06-23-2001, 01:50 PM
Bruce to Terry in "Dead Man's Hand". Terry was complaining about how he couldn't go see Melanie, and he said "one night isn't going to make a difference!" or somthing along those lines..in which bruce replied..
"One night always makes a difference."

Hmm..lets see. I like giving out easy ones, cuz then the thread thrives, but if ppl give out hard ones, they wonder why nobody replied to it..so..here's an easy one:

"Ahhh..the new boy"

I mean..COME ON..how easy is that anyway? If you need a hint, it isn't from any of the episodes that aired on TV..more along the lines of a direct release...

Amazingly, it came right to me. It was a rather freaky scene, so that's why I stayed in my head.

Powers said that to the ambassador dude, referring to Harry, Terry McGinnis's father (warren mcginnis). It came from "Rebirth". New quote!:

"All the money in the world and not an ounce of refinement."

That's probably a bit too easy, but what the hey.

I can just HEAR the King saying it. But where..I dunno. I keep hearing "All the time in the world.." when Ten screws up in Dead Man's Hand...

Derek Powers is correct. It was said by King on the deck of a yaht in Dead Man's Hand. He was about to fight with the owner of the yahct, who grabbed some kind of spear off the side of the boat. King siad, "All the money in the world, and not an ounce of refinement," in response to the owner's, "Mine's bigger than your's." He was comparing his spear to King's sword. So I believe the next quote belongs to Derek Powers.

Ok, now mine.

Hey:

I know the answer it's Matt when Mary is waiting for Terry to show up so she can go to work or school can't remember which one. It is in the episode Bloodsport, and after Terry shows up Terry's mom goes your on your own for supper, so she leaves and Terry asks Matt where he wants to eat and he says Cheeze Dans, I think that's the answer.

Next Quote: "Oh Terry your mother called she says to buy some milk on your way home."

Have a Nice Day!

I would like to request that you please wait at least 1 week before posting hints. The series is comprised of only 52 episodes, and you are wasting good quotes. Not everyone has time to check the boards each day. I would also like to ask that you please not post guesses because it usually gives away part of the answer. The last quote was a perfect example. Please note that these are only my suggestions. It is in my opinoin that these changes would add to a more fulfilling trivia game. And please remember the rules. You must give the person who said the quote, the episode it was said in, and a brief discription of the circumstanced under which it was said. Thank you very much.

Bird Boy
08-12-2001, 11:02 AM
uh..ok freebooter..but...that's the whole point..you answer the quote then give a new one. And the waiting one week thing..we've waited one week before and the thread went over over to page 2. We just like to keep things going interesting. Anyway...

Man of Steel that was from "Bloodsport" as well. It was during the fighting seen in the beginning (he was in a car garage where these guys were doing illegal crap and everything).

"Way Retro"

Terry in "Spellbound": He was talking about the tux he found in a closet upstairs (Dick Grayson's old tux, as it turned out), and he planned to wear it at the wedding of Jared Tate's mom.

Next quote:

"You called it."

batE

Fantasie117

that is from "Hidden Agenda." Max and Terry are in that park about to be attacked by the Jokerz. Terry tells Max to run. she replies "you called it."

Next quote:

(i'm not 100% on the first part, but it's the second part i'm interested in)

Sable Phoenix
08-13-2001, 02:20 AM
That's from "Splicers". When Terry busts into Cuvier's lab in stealth, the cheetah-lady sniffs, Cuvier asks "What is it?" and she replies, "Prey".

Ok, mine. I don't know if it's verbatim, but it's close enough...

Haha-haa! NOBODY is going to get this one without a hint...

Actually, I'm going to say this was Bruce in "eyewitness." Terry calls him from Max's after the whole parking garage fiasco and begs Bruce to believe his side of the story. Bruce says he does because he thinks that it's too convenient that the parts of the surveillance tape he watches blanks out during the time Barbara supposedly sees Terry kill Mad Stan.
