I heard a rumor that Family Guy got cancelled on Fox. I think if this true it great. Adult Swim should definitely try to pick the show up. I think it would be a great addition to the lineup. It would finally get a regular timeslot unlike when it was on Fox and kept getting move around all the time. What do you think?

I find it hard to believe that Fox would can Family Guy, that show is gold and I've read nothing but good reviews about it. I find it even harder to believe that AS would pick up the show with new episodes. Nothing on Family Guy would make it past CN censors, it's ridicules that show on at 11:00 on a Sunday night are getting TV-G and Y7 ratings. Even the new action shows coming up are being hacked to bits to get G rating at 12:30 at night. Bottom line: Family Guy rocks but it's too expensive and racy for AS.

Family guy could make it. Cowboy Bebop is TV-14 FV i think, and thats not far from family guy's TV-14 with all those letters.

I voted no....only because Family Guy sucks. Sorry, I just don't feel that unoriginality should be awarded....

I voted yes. Family Guy would fit in perfectly on AS.

I LOVE Family Guy.

I'm in a production of The Music Man, and when they did a take on one of the songs, I decided that MacFarlane is GOD.

If AS had the choice to pick it up, and they didn't....

Well, I couldn't be held responsible for my actions.

OMG there are fans of this bad Simpsons imitation? Couldn't they have at least put the drunken stupid fat dad in a different shirt and pants?

He's actually based off of Seth's earlier creation "Larry." Who appeared in the What a Cartoon! short "Larry and Steve." He also wears the same outfit.

Ignorant fools, you are judging it as a rip on Simpsons when i would say it's quite possibly more funny. The humor is totally different, same with the plots and ideas. So basically every cartoon family will be a rip of the simpsons to you nimrods or what?

I'd like to see someone say that The Proud Family is a rip off of the Simpsons.

Or what about Clerks:The animated series? They're all LIKE a family, and in episode two, you see Jays grandkids.

There, see? Family. Must be a rip off of The Simpsons.

Yes, Peter is a lot like Homer. But Maggie isn't bent on taking over the world, Lisa isn't always worried about what people think of her, Bart isn't a complete moron, Santa's Little helper doesn't talk, and he's not smarter then the rest of the family, and Marge doesn't, well....

What is something interesting Lois does? Marge and Lois are sort of the same I guess. But look at this, and I think this is the KEY to showing that Family Guy and The Simpsons are NOTHING alike.

The Griffens don't have a cat!

Ok, I'm done ranting at the moment, but look! Spiffy new Avatar! Not that any of you care...

Don't consider The "Family Guy" dead yet. Keep in mind that it was cancelled once before. Fox brought it back only after it was nominated for an Emmy. That is why the "Family Guy"'s season started in July, not October. Besides, it's now on for an hour since they finally cancelled that horrid live-action "Tick". (Don't get me wrong, I love the cartoon and the comic is a classic, but the new show didn't make it. The two episodes written by Ben Edlund kicked ass, but the others sucked. But I digress.) Even if it is cancelled, I think that the Family Guy has a better chance of being on Comedy Central than Adult Swim. It has a better fit with a show like "South Park" than "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" anyway.

FG WAS NEVER "CANCELLED" BEFORE!!

There's a difference between hiatus and cancellation. The reason for the first no show of FG is because Seth MacFarlane didn't want his show on Thursdays. So he called the network asking for a better timeslot, which didn't come til March. By then 2 seasons had been ordered and the first season was finishing up on the air. I don't know why they stopped during the second season, but by the time a third season had been ordered. The show resumed in July 2001 with the rest of season 2.
