Is Adult Swim's upfront today March 29th or tommorow March 30th or neither day? I could have sworn it was today but I've been hearing that it isn't today?. I've been in the hopsital for the past few days so the dates for me are all thrown off.

I had a leukemia scare. But I'm ok it wasn't leukemia. But I do require shots for the next god knows how many weeks.

According to BrandMerrill, it's still a ways off.

He's not sure when, though, but apparently not today or tomorrow.

Yeah I read what he said on the AS message boards. I was kinda hoping they would have the upfront today or tommorow.

Actually, UpFronts are today and I'm not sure why Brad Merrill thinks otherwise (they've been listed for months at several sites). There were two of them listed, one this morning in Atlanta and one tonight in NYC. Here's (http://www.tvtracker.com/trade_show_details.php?show_id=149&offset=0&sort_order=start_date&PHPSESSID=a0975e6ddb339fabc016a02b5bf4cbfb) the schedule listing for the NYC one (there were two on this page but the other is gone, so it was either called off in Atlanta or it must have happened).

Every other upfront that was listed at this site two weeks ago has happened and has been reported on at Cynopsis and/or The Futon Critic. So I think Brand is mistaken here. Then again Brad is in Atalanta or L.A. (he's the person who runs AS Fix), so maybe he isn't in the loop for this seeing it is happening in NYC?

Ok I remebered the New York one. I didn't know they had one planned for Alanta though.

I went over to Adult Swim Message Board and told Brand just what I thought of the announcement. The problem here IMO is that every other Upfront listed at the site I posted earlier have all come off as announced. If this upfront isn't happening then it was moved at the last minute or canceled and that would not bode well for Adult Swim at all, IMO. On the other hand, Brand works for AS Fix and could be out of the loop or it maybe that AS Fix has a separate upfront and he's just mistaken. I wouldn't be surprised if AS Fix does it's own upfront to online advertisers that isn't connected to the regular networks, seeing Cartoon Network and Turner Ent also had Upfronts and both have already happened (in Feb and last week).

Then there is the issue that someone was asking where the upfronts were being held (not sure if it was earlier in the thread in question or another one). After a week of people making threats against AS (it was a bit more hyper than usual in the William Street folder), I also had to wonder if they were trying to make sure no one who wasn't suppose to show up to the upfront did so (I hope I'm just being silly here :ack: ) :sweat:.

Anyway, if the upfront actually happens it should be reported at Cynopsis and/or TheFuton Critic, so hopefully we'll hear what happened, one way or the other, soon (and if it doesn't come off maybe one of them will say why).

Oh and congratulations on not having leukemia (having that would have been horrible). Without wanting to pry to much, did the problem turn out to be vitamin related or was it something else?

the problem was drugs I was taking for some bad acne. It nearly wipped out my white blood cell count. But I'll be fine I just need shots for the next week or two. Shots that make me feel really really week.

It would suck if the upfront was canned. But the way AS seems to be going I just have a bad feeling about everything.
