Proabably where TMNT was shown this weekend. There was a big "Coming Soon" poster for ATHF at the theater I went to, and this area rarely gets niche movies.

I've heard from my local Cinemarks (we have a good 4 or 5 in town) that only one of them will get it. I wouldn't count on seeing it at many places opening weekend...I'm sure some towns wont get it at all.

It's supposed to be playing at every major theatre in the country.

With 800 theaters, probably if you're near any major city you'll be able to see it.

I saw it to. Does this mean that it is not airing in theaters?

^Knowing Adult Swim, it isn't.

I saw it to. Does this mean that it is not airing in theaters? More than likely, the "TV premiere" of the Aqua Teen movie (before it comes out in theaters) is more of a promotion for their annual April Fool's Day event (with most people probably knowing better than to believe that the Aqua Teen movie is actually going to be on TV next Sunday).

They should at least have an ATHF on April Fools to help promote the movie. And at the beginning saying they're going to show it and then show an ep and then during the first commerical break say

"Oh yeah we were really going to show the movie now

But don't worry it's still coming to theathres April 13th.

.....

April Fools!

It's not playing at the 5 closest movie theaters near me, and they're all pretty popular (the one I usually go to is literally right next door to BWI's hotel district, so it gets a lot of business obviously). My main theater didn't have any ads or posters for it anywhere.

More than likely, it'll only be playing at the damn Arundel Mills Muvico theater around here. I hate that damn theater.

I do so hate when a movie I'm looking forward to comes out and I'm all excited about it, just to find out the closest theater showing it is like 5 hours away. Here's hoping the ATHF movie gets a wider release than 800 theaters!

Some how I don't think Boston is on that list

So I'm guessing there's no "master list" of theatres it's playing at yet, is there?

I saw a poster for it at the AMC Odyssey 24 here in town.

Since they have this 'AMC Select' thing (which is where they show 'niche' movies every now and then), I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up getting it.

Which would be nice, I guess. Omaha rarely gets these sorta films, if not at all.

i'm hoping it screens at the Enzian (just north of downtown Orlando) but chances are i'd have to go Lowes Universal Cineplex right in the hub of tourist central. I hate that theater. The last movie I saw there was the Cowboy Bebop film.

Any chance of matinees in New York on April 21st? I'm in the City that day, and I'm pretty sure it ain't poppin' up here (central Pennsylvania)...

No way it's playing up here in a college town, unless the campus scores a print.

It'll probably air on campuses and in smaller theatres that air independent and niche-y films, witch some a few bigger theatres showing it as well.

I would hedge a guess this isn't getting a major (as in 1000+ theaters in the first week) release. The distribution company isn't one I've actually heard of and its the kind of flick you want to experience in a beat up third-run house with a projector that has a dying bulb.

800 screens. I just hope it makes it to Savannah before the DVD. If the movie airs in Boston, then I would be shocked.
